Gorgeous portraits and emotional candids

I don't think I could say enough good things about Kathleen. Having beautiful wedding photos was very important to us, so after the venue, finding a great photographer was what we did next. I am so, so happy we ended up with Kathleen. She is kind and relaxed and made the process of being photographed a much more natural experience then it could be if you're not used to it. She got every family combination portrait we asked for and more. But more importantly, beyond beautiful wedding portraits are so so many candids that capture the emotion of the day. Going through the photos feels like living the day again. Everyone we shared the photos with has said how amazingly well done they are. I can't recommend her highly enough.

Patient, understanding, outstanding!

Kathleen of North Photography was fantastic. We wanted a patient, inclusive photographer to capture our magical day with our blended, multiracial family, and we found that with Kathleen. Due to COVID, we had postponed our wedding date a year. She worked with us throughout the year. She's well-planned, timely, and extremely considerate. Our lovely wedding photos are ones that we'll keep for a lifetime, and she did a wonderful job of capturing the whole afternoon and evening -- from beginning to end. I highly recommend Kathleen of North Photography!

RYAN IS THE BEST!!! I have cried and cried tears of joy looking at my wedding photos. I never imagined feeling or looking like a Pinterest page. He and his crew captured every important detail of my wedding day. I feel beautiful in every single photo he captured. He gave me so many beautiful and in-the-moment candids. Great Experience!

Kathleen was absolutely amazing. She really listened to what we wanted for our photos and the style we liked. She was so easy and kind to work with. North Photography really takes the time to make your photos something special. Our wedding photos were absolutely perfect and beautiful!!! Would highly recommend!!

Picking a photographer was the second hardest choice for my wedding. I wanted a photographer who was professional and who I could trust to do what I asked of them. A lot of photographers have a set way of doing things and I didn’t like that. Jeremy shot my wedding. He called me a few days before to go over all the details that I wanted. This is what was most important to me, that I had control of my wedding. In the end I got everything I wanted. Thank you guys!!!!

If I could give Kathleen 100 stars I would! First of all, her photos are breathtaking. Secondly, she is incredibly responsive and helpful. She is SO professional, even under stressful situations! It poured on our wedding day AND the fire alarm went off while she was snapping photos! It went off for 30+ minutes and Kathleen's calming presence kept everyone sane and looking great in photos! She was incredibly flexible with us to work out a schedule and a budget. I would HIGHLY recommend Kathleen!!!!

My husband's best friend told us about this company. He had used them for his wedding and had good things to say about them. After meeting the owner I was 10000% sure I wanted him to shoot my wedding. I was excited since they were a lot cheaper than I planned. We went with photo and video and he gave us a discount. We added a bridal gown session and a engagement photosession. All my family raved about my wedding and my pictures. We just got the video back and it was a Hollywood production!!

THE BEST! YOU WILL NOT GO WRONG. You get what you paid for and I went with the best. We were married in NOLA since it was better priced then home in New York. The service was beyond anything. New Orleans is my second home, and I wanted to get married there. My photographer helped immensely and recommended a wonderful band to walk with between my church and venue. My photographs and my wedding film were spectacular.

After Katrina I moved away from NOLA, but was for sure getting married there, since all my family stayed. North Production had done my cousin's wedding 10 years ago. My wedding was stress free and they turned out a great final product. I would use them again and again. Great people and easy to work with.

My video and images was incredible!!!!!!! Best video I have ever seen. I went with the top package and it was crazy how much they captured that I never knew was happening at my wedding. The need a 10 star option cause I would give them 10

My wedding may have been a little wet considering it never stopped raining that day but looking through my wedding pictures I was surprised to see how many amazing shots Ryan and his team were able to get. Everyone was ready to make my day special from the wedding planner, Julie, to our photographer, Ryan. I could not have asked for a better day even though it was raining, my wedding was absolutely amazing.

Planning a wedding from afar is a real pain, and I was looking for companies who did more than a single service. After reading reviews and speaking with the owner, I locked North Productions for all the services they offer. I did not meet Bryan or anyone until my wedding day. We all hit it off instantly. We had talked on the phone for months prior to my day, but it was nice to finally put a face to the voice. Everyone loved him. He did make fun of my husband on more than a few occasions, but it was done tactfully and got my man smiling. Those are the best pixs from the whole night. The video was spectacular and showed everything I had missed and something I wished never happened---me falling flat on my face while dancing. Bryan asked if I wanted that on the video and I was like hell yes, I want it all. My flowers were roses and peonies and were red and a pink. My venue is already decorated so I did not need anything else. Simple and very elegant. For anyone looking for one vendor who does it all, north photo, video and floral does.

WOW! AMAZING! Is all I can say about my wedding images. They made me cry a 100x looking at them all. I knew they would be great, but not this great. Ryan and everyone was the best. They helped with my dress, told me when my hair did not look right and everything. If you are getting married, there are no better photographers.

It was a wonderful experience to have Ryan shoot our wedding. Several of my friends had used him and it was a no brainer I was too. I had been in two weddings that he has worked before, so I knew his style. He was super organized and helpful. Some of the guests even said how on the ball my photographer was. Ryan told me he has shot almost a thousand wedding and it really shows. You MUST hire him to shoot your wedding. He made my day stress free and easy. His assistant even helped with rounding up the kids for the family pictures. She was so sweet. You cannot go wrong with North Photo. They are the best.

Myself and my husband picked North Photography since we both had friends who had used them for their weddings. We were planning a whole wedding from out of state and since North does more than one service it made things easier for us. We hired them for photo, video and Mrs Beverly for flowers. Everything went great and I have zero complaints. Me and Brad and happy and my mom is also. Our wedding was pretty small, we only had 70 people, and we had it outside, under an oak tree in city park. Thank you Ryan and everyone for your help. You guys are the best.

North Photography and Video covered my daughter Kelly wedding last year. They were a pleasure to do business with. My sister insisted we use them for Kelly's wedding since they covered both of my nieces' weddings many years back. Ryan answer the phone every time I called and you could tell he has been in the wedding business for a long time. He would tell us what was best to get the most out of the wedding and would not stop telling us funny wedding stories and how to avoid things like going over on time and how to get the most done with the time we had. He was more helpful than our overpriced wedding planner who was a waste of money. I could have skipped the planner and had Ryan and his mom plan my wedding. She was our florist and his brother did my daughter's video.

You will not go wrong with North Productions. My sister's wedding was phenomenal. The two photographers were on the ball the whole time, and everything went smoothly. When I get married, I am not even going to look at anyone else to capture my wedding.

Ryan and his team were fantastic! they did my photo, video and my flowers. I cant say enough good thing about them. Ryan talked me into adding video and I am so glad. My husband cried like a little baby and its all on video. The pictures of him crying are nice, but watching the tears run down his face made me crying watching the video. His mom is a florist and is very cheap. My flowers were exactly as I wanted them. Everything was great all around.

Best vendor I had. My wedding was small and Ryan was very attentive. I called and emailed him a dozen times and each time he took time to talk with me. It only took me 2 weeks to get my images and they incredible. I never looked at any other photographer since he shot my older sister's wedding 15 years old and my brother's wedding last year. He knows my family very well from 3 weddings and has 2 more for my family this year and next.. Thank you for the great job you did.

cannot say enough amazing things about Kathleen and Robert from North Photography! I was recommended to North from the Quechee Inn in Quechee, Vermont and from the moment I spoke to Kathleen, I knew she had to be our photographer. In that initial phone call, she got right to the business of getting to know my husband and I. She asked questions about us and our families and set up a timeline of how we could arrange all the important photos. She immediately put us at ease and understood our laid back approach to our wedding. Kathleen's kindness and caring nature shined through all of her correspondences (phone calls, emails, in person). On our wedding day Kathleen and Robert had a wonderful calming presence, and handled several snafus professionally and without me (the bride) finding out until after they were no longer problems. Kathleen also worked incredibly well with our families and was able to get amazing photos of all of us, including 4 rapidly moving and unpredictable children in our wedding party! She guided us into poses when appropriate but also listened to my request to have many candids of our guests and us. The photographs that Kathleen and Robert took are absolutely phenomenal! We received our wedding website with proofs soon after the wedding and ordered several enlarged prints, which are of incredible quality! We are in love with our wedding album! Kathleen designed it for us and then almost immediately responded to my feedback of any photos we needed switched out. We had our completed wedding album only a few months after the wedding. If you want to be put totally at ease on your wedding day with photographers that are completely not intrusive, and who genuinely care about your event, hire North! You can't go wrong!

This vendor deserves way more than 5 stars! Not only are they reasonable in price but, Ryan was extremely helpful & responsive throughout the entire process. We took engagement photos as part of our package and he spent 2 hours with us! Those photos came out amazing. For our wedding he & lori knew exactly what to do and helped the day run so smooth. You can tell they have been doing this for a while and know all of the best photos to take. His style is beautiful and you will absolutely not be disappointed if you choose North Photography! Kathleen was absolutely amazing from beginning to end. She came highly recommended from our wedding planner and I understand why. Our photos (over 1000 of them) are excellent - a mix of portrait and journalistic style. She is also a very kind and calming presence during what can be a somewhat chaotic day. Her assistant Robert spent time getting pictures of my husband and was also wonderful. We spoke ahead of time about what we wanted and toured our location with her so that everything was seamless on the day of the wedding. She delivered our photos electronically within a couple of weeks and sent along a flash drive as well. I have been very remiss about getting this review posted, but I did want to make sure that I did so, as her photography and services certainly warrant a 5 star review!

Kathleen is not only an incredibly talented photographer, but an amazing person. She truly went above and beyond. She treated us like family, not clients, and I felt as though we had known her for years. She had so many personal touches, and sent us sweet thoughtful gifts before and after the wedding. ABOVE AND BEYOND! If you don’t book with North Photography you are missing out! I recently had a destination wedding in New Orleans and chose North Photography. As a little girl, I dreamed about having magnificent wedding pictures, so of course my main priority and money was to be spent for wedding photography. I don’t even know where to begin to start with the North family, other than they are the TOTAL package and you get way more then you pay for! Ryan is an expert in the photography field along with being a perfectionist! When booking, you also get his wife, Lori North to help as well. She is the best woman you could have for pictures. She works right along side of Ryan making sure your hair, body, face, and outfits are perfect! Along with Ryan, she supplies tons of fabulous ideas and different poses. Lori helped with the whole wedding! Everything from the first look, to how and where the party should stand, Lori knows everything and loves to help! Ryan and Lori work well together and are very efficient at what they do. They work super hard and never stop! In my wedding package, I was allotted an engagement session. I chose Nottoway Plantation. Ryan and Lori drove almost two hours to get there and shot photos for three hours non-stop. For the wedding, Ryan took over 1,000 photos within the time. I received the photos and I’ve never seen work this stunning! He is truly the best photographer I’ve ever seen. His expertise with lighting is so far advanced from other photographers. He knows when and where to shoot. I could go on and on! I would recommend getting the Platinum or Diamond package it is worth the money. Along with having the best pictures, you will create a special bond with North Photography. I cannot say thank you enough to Ryan and Lori. I have been a wedding photographer for years, having photographed over 200 weddings, and after I proposed to my wife one of my first thoughts was, how am I going to photograph my own wedding? Obviously, that's not something one can do, so I started looking for a photographer I felt I could work with. It was an exhaustive search, and for some reason I did not discover Kathleen until the end of the process. Once I did, I felt intuitively that she was the person we would work with.

She has been excellent to work with. She does everything the right way, and she delivers the goods. I have done the research for the Vermont area, and my advice is to start your process by finding out if Kathleen is available for your date.

Kaht (North Photography) is a wonderful photographer. She worked with us to create a wedding package that would fit our needs. She took the time prior to the wedding to get information on family members, the church, wedding venue, timing and then she walked us through the timeline of what our day would look like to prepare us, following up with an e-mail as well about the entire timeline for the day. However, there was no need for us to worry about the timeline because Kaht and her father were exactly on time the day of the wedding and kept all of us on time too. Kaht captured every picture I said I wanted, and also thought of things I hadn't which I sincerely appreciate now after the fact. I had the perfect wedding day, and a part of that was knowing that my photographer was keeping us on track and that we would have beautiful pictures. The pictures were stunning, as predicted, and I still receive compliments when I show off my album that Kaht put together with my input and her expertise. I would recommend North Photography to anyone and everyone. If you are looking for a photographer that does not have to rely on a lot of special effects and just captures beautiful, natural photographs, Kaht/North Photography is a great choice.

Kathleen and Robert (as second shooter) did an absolutely wonderful job photographing our outdoor, summer wedding last year. I was planning the event from out of state and Kathleen was great about answering emails and talking on the phone.

We chose North Photography because of their beautiful photographs, with vibrant colors and wonderful framing. Kathleen was wonderful about getting beautiful formal portraits in a short time so that we could rejoin the reception quickly after the ceremony. She took control of the wedding party and various family members in a completely unobtrusive way to get all of the formal pictures we had requested. We had our digital copies back in our hands less than two weeks after the wedding, and this was during peak season! We couldn't be happier with how all of the photos came out, both the candids and the formal shots.

In addition, Kathleen helped us plan some of the timing of events and flow of the day before the event. The day of she was such a help with keeping things moving, sort of playing a second role as a wedding day coordinator. The day went so much more smoothly thanks to her.

I would absolutely recommend Kathleen to a friend for a wedding and would not hesitate to hire her for maternity or family shoots in the future if we were in the area.

We hired Ryan North as our wedding photographer after seeing some of his work online. We contacted him & he quickly responded answering any questions that we had. We had to plan our wedding from out of town, and anytime that I had a question about something he was quick to respond! We also had our engagement session with North Productions as part of our wedding package, these pictures came out amazing! We had never had professional pictures taken & we were blown away at the quality of these photographs. We even displayed a few of the images at the wedding!! For our wedding, he and his wife showed up to the designated location for me getting ready very promptly (even with Mardi Gras traffic!) & they got right to work! His wife even helped my mom with lacing up the back of my dress! The photos that were taken at the wedding we got back very quickly & we were amazed at the images that were taken! I was extremely nervous about choosing a photographer for our engagement and wedding photos- you only get ONE chance to pick the right one. Those moments can never be repeated. I could not have chosen better. Ryan North is an AMAZING photographer!!! I do not consider myself photogenic at all, yet somehow we are left with the most BEAUTIFUL photo memories, and all of the credit goes to him! He put us super at-ease, and we felt comfortable in front of his lens, despite our initial trepidation. The way he captures the glow of the setting sun, or the sparkle in your eyes as you triumphantly march down the aisle in wedded bliss, the pictures he captured are so beautiful I cannot stop looking at them. The depth and colors and lush textures he captured are magnificent. I have looked at hundreds of other photographers, from Austin to New Orleans, and I do not have a single regret about North Photography. I would recommend them without hesitation. My only sadness is that I opted to go without videography. After seeing some of the beautiful videos he has created, I will never get that opportunity again, and I know in my heart he would have created a keepsake that we would cherish for the rest of our lives. No hype here. He is humble, down-to-Earth, and passionate about photography. He isn't a hobby photographer, like so many people who pick up a camera and suddenly think they are Herb Ritts or Ansel Adams. He is the genuine article- he LOVES what he does and it TOTALLY SHOWS. Two thumbs up. Five stars. I want to get married again so we can do more pictures.

I made the RIGHT choice with North Productions Photography! Since the beginning, Mr. North has made me feel comfortable contracting his services and for a long distance bride he made my decision making very easy. His wife was an excellent assistant too! She was extremely focused on details and making me feel calm before saying my vows. From day one, my husband and were delighted by the service we got in booking North Photography (Kathleen Porter) for our wedding. Our engagement session took place up near Burlington, in natural, outdoorsy settings that were just lovely. Kathleen is equal parts personable and professional, and she did a great job making us feel comfortable and at ease in front of the camera. Even though we do not live in Vermont, she was very accommodating and responsive via both phone and email throughout the planning process.

On our wedding day, Kathleen arrived in a timely manner with her assistant (her father, who is very talented as well!) and immediately got to work photographing us girls getting ready and all of the little details around the grounds of our venue. She truly made my husband's and my "first look" a dream come true - little did I know, she also is an expert at wiping tears and saving makeup!

Kathleen and her father captured the magic of our ceremony and reception perfectly, including the wackiness of our wedding party and the pure joy radiating from my husband and I. We were also very impressed with her quick turnaround time after the fact - it seemed like we were reliving our day through pictures in no time flat!

I would definitely recommend North Photography to anyone hoping to remember their wedding through a quintessentially "Vermont" lens. Kathleen is incredibly talented, clearly very experienced, and an absolute joy to work with!

Highly recommend using North Photography! From start to finish – they were always friendly, helpful, and professional.

On the day of the wedding, little things can become stressful and both Ryan and Lori were the calming, reassuring voices we needed. They make a great team, he taking the photos and Lori getting everyone ready for the next photo. Together they made the photo sessions go quick and smoothly leaving you time to have fun and enjoy the reception!

All of the Engagement and Wedding photos are gorgeous. The day goes by so quickly and it is nice to re-live the wedding day through the photos.

We also used the florist listed on the North Photography website. The flowers and bouquets were perfect! The wedding cake surrounded with rose petals and rose-flowered cake top look absolutely beautiful.

North Photography did an awesome job on my engagement pictures!!!! I absolutely love the pictures!!! I really appreciated the quick turnaround and great customer service I received from Ryan North. He went out of his way to accomodate me and my fiancee with a short notice. We have received many compliments on our pictures. I have already and will continue to recommend North Photography.

My wedding was planned in about a month and Ryan was willing to work with the short time and even got my husband and I in for engagement photos. The day of the wedding Ryan and his wife were amazing and made sure I got all the pictures I needed and the ones I wanted like of my dog. Highly recommend North photograph to everyone.

I am so appreciate of North Customs Floral Designs for arranging gorgeous bouquets for me and my bridesmaids. They were able to work within my (tight) timeline and budget and were extremely accommodating in all of our interactions.

We had an incredible experience with North Photography for our wedding and are so glad we made the choice to go with Kathleen as our photographer. Our photos are amazing, and working with Kathleen throughout the process of planning and the big day itself was truly a joy. Kathleen was professional, caring, flexible, and very thoughtful in planning the photography for our wedding. She was always responsive to our emails and specific questions/requests and was easy to work with and very on top of everything. We were planning our wedding from across the country so we had never met Kathleen, but on the wedding day we immediately found her to be a wonderful and easygoing person to be around. We got so many comments from guests about how much they loved her. She covered all of the details so that we didn't have to worry about anything and could just enjoy the day. She is so sweet and great with all of the finishing touches (still sends us sweet cards and mementos with our photo!). Would recommend her to anyone! Great quality and value and a lovely person to work with.

Absolutely the best experience we could have had! I used them for my bridal portraits and engagement pictures. My husband and I actually had fun during both sessions. When it came time for the wedding they made that a breeze as well. We were comfortable, got all the shots we wanted and when it came time for the reception everything went smooth. North Photography is absolutely the best and only place that I will use for any of my Photograph and Video needs.

Ryan and Lori are wonderful to work with. Very easy to work with and made me feel comfortable to whole time. Pictures are phenomenal and the time it took to get my pictures was ridiculously fast. I literally had them within a week! Highly recommended. Great photographer!

Kathleen was amazing to work with! She was very easy to work with and made us very comfortable during both the engagement session and the entire day of our wedding. She and her assistant were inconspicuous throughout the day, but still captured all the important moments as well as lots of other shots. Her photographs are excellent - everything from the compositions to the color and lighting look amazing. She has a great eye.

Kathleen is a true professional at her trade! My wife and I chose her for our wedding day based off a prior wedding we had attended. She has the ability to always be in the right place without being intrusive. We were also very surprised how quickly she remebered faces with the names of our family and wedding party with provided in a list. That may sound funny but Kathleen made it feel more intimate and made the communication much easier! She took such nice photos that we had to buy the entire CD album...which was sent to us promptly in a wonderful keepsake cover with our photo on the CD cover. If my wife and I were to do it again we would choose North Photography without hesitation. Thanks Kathleen!

Kathleen was wonderful to work with. Very responsive from start to finish. She made a point of getting to know us so as to capture the moments that were important to us. She's very flexible and accommodating (we wanted to get some shots on a speed boat out on the lake on that cold October day, and Kathleen was more than happy to accommodate!). She kept a low profile during the ceremony and reception, yet managed to get all the great shots. When it came to creating the albums, she did an amazing job of "telling the story" through images. The albums are just beautiful - very thoughtfully put together with great attention to detail in cropping and layout. I was (am!) very impressed and would happily recommend North Photography to any bride!

Having gorgeous wedding pictures was very important to me and my husband, and North Photography exceeded our expectations! I do not like being photographed, but they made it easy with their experienced and professional demeanor. They were also very pleasant to work with. We were advised that planning a wedding is best when you choose vendors you enjoy working with, and I would pass that advice along to anyone planning a wedding. North Photography helped us make plans over Skype meetings and the plans were executed well. Not only was North Photography amazing to work with, but the photographs were amazing as well! So many of them came out so well, that I can't frame them all, and I am still having a hard time deciding which ones to frame. I think I might frame different ones each year and rotate which ones are displayed.

Kathleen took some amazing engagement photos for us, one of which became our save the date postcard. She was very professional and flexible in creating shots that represented us as a couple, and it was a pleasure to work with her throughout the process. She even won over my fiancee who is a notorious photo-hater. Kathleen has beautiful and unique artistic vision and you will quickly fall in love with her work. I have also used her for family portraits in the past and hope to use her for many more family shots through the years to come.

Kathleen did a beautiful job photographing our special day. She was sweet and patient, and had some great ideas about how to capture the space, the event and our love on film. Everybody is impressed with the photos we show them. Even I want to display all the photos she took, and I usually hate pictures of myself! But the way she was able to capture our love and joy and partnership moves me every time I see them.

Kathleen and her husband Devin did a fabulous job on our pictures! People can't stop talking about how beautiful they are. They are very easy to work with and are quick to turn around the photos. I had pictures as early as 1 week after my wedding and as of now I have the whole gallery. They are a fun couple who truly love what they do. My wedding pictures are a work of art!

The team arrived early and ready to work. They were classy professionals who were patient and knew what they were doing.
