We cannot say enough wonderful things about North Island Photography! From the moment we messaged Deb, her and her team were an absolute joys to work with.
Our photographers (Deb and Fernanda) and Videographer (Antwan), captured our wedding at The Watermill in the most breathtaking way possible. The photos are simply stunning. They took so many amazing shots that we’re still in awe looking through them all and can’t decide which to post. The way they captured the emotions, the details, our friends/family, and all those candid, joyful moments made our wedding day feel even more magical than we could have imagined.
What truly set them apart was how kind, calm, and attentive they were throughout the entire day. They made us feel completely at ease, gave us such a huge variety of photos and truly became part of the celebration. The video highlight reel that they made after the wedding left me and my wife in tears, it really was perfect watching it brings us right back to our wedding day. Deb, Fernanda, and Antwan went above and beyond to make sure every special moment was documented while also making our wedding day feel even more special and relaxed.
We are so grateful for the memories they helped us preserve forever.

I honestly do not have the words to express how absolutely AMAZING Deb is. Our photos are truly stunning—beyond anything I could have hoped for. She didn’t just take beautiful pictures; she captured the exact vision I had in my head and somehow made it even better. Deb and her second shooter (I wish I could remember her name because she was incredible!) made the entire day feel effortless. They put not only Caleb and me completely at ease, but also every single family member and every person in our bridal party. They brought such a calming, positive energy, and it genuinely felt like we were spending the day with friends who just happened to be insanely talented photographers. We had a phenomenal day with Deb, and the final photos are memories we will cherish forever. I cannot recommend her and North Island enough. -

Early on in the planning process, we had a few phone calls lined up with prospective photo/video companies. The first company we spoke with was North Island and we knew right away that we didn't want to go with anyone else. From the first call, Deb took the time to help guide us through a vision of the timeline for the day and her warm, genuine personality made us both comfortable automatically. Before our wedding day, we did our engagement shoot with Deb and as two people who can be awkward for posed photos, Deb made us feel so incredibly comfortable and the photographs came out stunning. I also appreciated how she took her time and did not make us feel rushed. Not only did they come out wonderful but there were sooooo many provided to us to choose from. On the actual day itself, Deb was our lead photographer with Fernanda as the second and Craig as video. The entire team made us all feel comfortable and made sure we captured the day in the way we visualized it. They have an eye for how to best utilize the environment around them to make the best out of any setting! They were fun yet professional and helpful. We saw a few sneakpeeks from the wedding day (one week ago) and we just know the final products are going to take our breath away. We are grateful we chose this company and get to relive our day through the way they captured it. -

We had the absolute pleasure of having North Island Photography capture our wedding on June 28th, and I cannot recommend them highly enough! From start to finish, they were nothing short of amazing. They made our entire day run so smoothly. They were calm, professional, and incredibly organized, which helped take so much pressure off and allowed us to just enjoy the moment.
What stood out most was how genuinely considerate they were of our feelings and preferences. They listened carefully to what we envisioned and made sure we felt comfortable and supported every step of the way. It truly felt like they were not just there to take photos, but to be a meaningful part of the day.
And the photos? Absolutely stunning. They captured every emotion, every little detail, and all the special moments we’ll treasure forever. We received our photos back in a very timely manner, and the quality blew us away.

Old world vibes
I am beyond thankful for Deb and the incredible team at North Island Photography. Deb captured my sister’s wedding 13 years ago, and from that moment, I knew no one else would ever photograph my own wedding. Her talent, professionalism, and genuine artistic eye are truly one of a kind. She brought my entire vision to life and then went even further.
One of the best surprises was receiving our gallery while still on our honeymoon — it let us relive every bit of magic before we’d even returned home. Deb is worth every penny and more; the memories she preserved are priceless.
Her team made the entire day so smooth. They constantly checked on us to make sure we were comfortable, hydrated, and ready, but also respected every private moment we needed without question. They truly understand how emotional weddings can be, especially when loved ones are missing, and handled it all with such empathy and care.
One of the sweetest things was seeing how many times Deb would pause mid-photo to say, “Oh my goodness, I did your wedding!” or “I photographed your engagement!” She remembers everyone, and that personal connection is so rare and meaningful.
As for the photos — the sneak peeks alone had my husband and I in tears the next day. Every detail, every guest, every candid was covered beautifully. Even when guests were taking their own phone shots, Deb’s team was right there capturing those moments too, so nothing slipped by.
I feel so lucky to have had North Island Photography with us on our wedding day. These images are true one-of-a-kind treasures, and I’ll cherish them forever. If you’re considering Deb and her team — book them. You will not regret it. -

We used North Island for Photo and Video for our March engagement shoot and September wedding. Deb was a pleasure to work with and extremely responsive for the planning portion; we were lucky enough to get her as our second photographer for our wedding. Their base packages make the planning process very simple and can easily accommodate any minor changes you request. We had Courtney as our lead photographer who also did our engagement shoot and made us feel so comfortable throughout the day. Full photo galleries were delivered within just a few weeks of the wedding and we could not be happier. Excellent service and will definitely use again for future photo and video needs !! -

We used North Island for both our photos and our video footage for our wedding this past May and everyone was so so lovely to work with! They were recommended by our venue (Cowfish) and did not disappoint. We had Craig doing video and Courtney and Meredith on photography and they all three meshed with our vibe immediately. Witty and funny with the perfect amount of de-stressing one liners but so so professional and kept everything moving and on task. Turn around time of everything was so quick and when we asked for a few edits to our video reel it was turned around within a week! They caught the perfect candids, and dealt with some rainy weather and a bit of a rowdy group day of with ease. Highly recommend! -

We had the best experience with North Island! Both Courtneys were our photographers along with Walter for video. They were so pleasant to be around on such a stressful day and they made everything seamless. We had such a positive experience with them and will definitely use them again in the future. Book immediately!
I would highly recommend booking north island for photo and video. The process beforehand was so easy. Communication was great. The day of the photographers and video went above and beyond with not only taking photography but just overall so helpful. They made every shot I requested happen. We got our gallery back super quick as well! -

Hi Brides!!! If anyone is still looking to book their wedding photographer, I highly recommend North Island Photo + Films!! They have been nothing but great to work with. Deb (the owner) is an absolute doll, very easy to communicate with, and open to suggestions/feedback/inspiration. My fiancé and I just had our engagement shoot with their lead photographer Courtney, who met all our expectations. She was fun, made us feel comfortable, and genuinely was great to be around. Her work speaks for itself! Our shoot was on Monday (11/20), and we received edited sneak peaks AND our entire engagement album of 600+ pictures by Saturday (11/25) evening which is super fast considering that week was a holiday! We’re so so so pleased and excited for our wedding day (few samples attached) 🥹 📸🤍✨ -

Courtney and her team were amazing to work with and had such a fun, light-hearted, and calm energy that kept us upbeat throughout the day. We were, and still are, in awe of the team's ability to engage us and our family throughout all the photos and videos, but also the pure talent and passion you have for your work.
We cannot begin to tell you how much it means that you- the North Island Photography team- were a part of our wedding day. Your ability to execute everything with such detail, respect our wishes for candid photos, and how efficiently everyone worked together the entire night was the best gift we received. On the most important day of our lives, you and your team brought our memories to fruition. We actually ate at both cocktail hour and dinner reception BECAUSE of the team.

I do not even know where to begin with this review!
North Island Photography and Films was absolutely outstanding on our wedding day. We had Michael and Karen as our photographers and Kursad as our cinematographer, and let me just say that they all 3 went above and beyond to get the best shots! After waiting 2.5 years due to covid and going back and forth about a photographer/cinematographer, I don’t think we could’ve made a better choice. We got married July 2, 2022 and it was so hot and humid out, but this did not stop them from capturing the best day of our lives! I would also like to add that Deb helped us set this all up behind the scenes, she is such a lovely person to work with and knew all the ins and outs of how to perfectly plan our day when it came to timing. She took every detail into account and I cannot thank this team enough! Not to mention our digitals were ready about a week after our wedding day!

WOW! They will make you feel like movie stars. From our first consultation we knew had a match. Their ease with making you feel comfortable while being in front of the lens is truly an art.

Honestly it hard to know where to start with this review. They were professional and very attentive. Every picture they took is unique and beautiful. We could not have asked for better photos. From the moment we met Michael and Deb we knew we wanted to work with them. They were both so warm and welcoming and made us feel right at home in their beautiful studio. The day of the wedding Michael and his team were incredible. Their talent is beyond compare. Our photos are spectacular. Would highly recommend!
My wedding on 9/15/17 was captured beautifully. I have received tons of compliments on both my photos and wedding video. This company was incredible to work with every step of the way. They may seem on the pricey side, but it is worth every penny to capture one of the most exciting moments of my life. The customer service is fantastic and they met every single one of my needs and wants. Would highly recommend for any wedding or special occasion. -

I went through every single photographer I could find until I came across North Island Photography. Their pictures blew me away and after meeting with them in person I knew we had to have them. We were lucky enough to have Stephanie and Nydia for our wedding day who are both incredibly kindhearted and beyond talented. Leading up to the big day I would manically send Stephanie e-mails with inspiration and she always responded quickly, taking notes along the way. I was blown away by her attention to dedication to make my dream photo's come true. I truly feel they captured our couple style and created these photogenic moments unique to us and our day. I was really impressed that they came prepared with the photo's I had been sending to her to make sure we captured every moment and more. The real beauty and gift for detail came while we were taking photo's. Stephanie perfectly directed each hand, turn and look to make sure every photo was flawless. When we received our stunning sneak peek photos, not even a week later, I was just blown away, I could have never pictured everything to look so perfect. I really appreciated the time they took to capture the details of my accessories, decor and the little things as a bride you don't have the time to really take in. You can never plan for how quickly a wedding day really flies by and having these beautiful pictures to look back at forever is exactly why I needed to have North Island on our very special day. Danielle Sent on 04/08/2018I can not give them enough credit in words. Stephanie was absolutely amazing the entire process. She answered all questions I had throughout wedding planning. I was able to pay the remainder of the cost, over the year, with smaller payments which was beneficial to my husband and I. Stephanie went over the timeline and photos that we wanted two times the week of wedding to make sure everything was correct and we were on the same page. We had a lot to get through (getting ready photos at grooms house, brides house, church, firehouse, Vanderbilt musuem, and then our venue) I got a sneak peak of 115 photos 5 days later and they are the best photos I’ve ever seen! The fast response was very exciting and professional. All photos are done within a month which is way faster than other photographers. Stephanie was on schedule the entire day and captured every photo I wanted that I sent to her prior to the wedding day (some photos I forgot I even asked for!) She only took us from the reception on two occasions to capture photos we requested that night, as we wanted to dance all night. The assistant photographer Nydia was great as well. She helped me with my dress and veil the entire day during pictures. She also captured candid shoots all night on the dance floor! I typically do not like being in fronton the camera and get nervous. Stephanie made me feel so comfortable and at ease the entire day! I have received so complaints on the photos she has taken and many previous brides wished they had used her as well! Worth every Penny!

They took so many shots it was so hard to pick. Very professional and great to deal with. Their prices are comparable with most on Long Island. Wish I can give them more than 5 stars. -

We could not have been more disappointed with North Island Photography & Film. This was one of the first vendors we booked, with the confidence of seeing their work on social media and their website, as well as being under the impression that they are very familiar with our wedding venue (Insignia). I (the bride) spoke with Deb, one of the owners, numerous times prior to our wedding and had many discussions about what special moments we wanted to be included in our day. During this time, we were pressured into doing a first look, with the threat of missing our reception to take photos. My husband (then fiancé) and I tried to move past this.
Our wedding day came, and it was immediately clear that the crew we were sent were unfamiliar with the hotel and our venue. Each request, which I had discussed with Deb beforehand, seem to inconvenience the crew. It was extremely clear that either Deb never discussed the conversation she and I had with the crew prior to our wedding, or they simply didn’t care.
When we received our photos, I almost cried. Unfortunately, not tears of joy, but frustration. Our first look was horrific. For a moment I never even wanted to happen, it was a pure disappointment on film. No “getting ready” photos were taken of the groomsmen. In fact, my husband didn’t even get a photo with each of his groomsmen individually. Then the wine cellar – the bane of this experience. For some reason, these “professional” photographers do not understand that light reflects off of glass, therefore there was a massive glare in all of our photos in the wine cellar. I reached out to the company to ensure that this would be edited out, to which they responded that they do not have that capability. I later downloaded a free AI photo editing software and was able to do it myself. Our video of our first dance was zoomed in so close that the videographer actually had trouble following us.
I reached out to North Island shortly after receiving our photos to discuss what happened. I spoke with Michael (the owner), who proceeded to gaslight me throughout the conversation. His main point was that I did not give the photographers enough time to take photos before our ceremony, which is why key moments were missed. This is interesting, considering DEB told ME what time the crew would be arriving and when they needed each group available, and I am extremely Type A and had the room and my bridal party ready at 7:45am. The best part of this conversation, aside from me being blamed for their unprofessionalism and incompetence, was Michael’s grand solution. He suggested that my husband and I, and I suppose whoever else was not in photos that we had wanted to get, get all dressed up again, and book another session with North Island. I was dumbfounded and appalled by this suggestion.
I cannot discourage use of this company enough. We paid $7,000 for an experience that was a true disappointment. It is difficult to even look at our photos knowing that so many of them were not what we wanted. I have left 5-star reviews for ALL of our other vendors. My husband and I are not difficult to please. The owners of North Island do not communicate with their staff and don’t even have the decency to simply apologize when encountering an unsatisfied customer. Instead, they blame the customer! Michael and Deb are in this business simply to make money, NOT to ensure that your special day is captured beautifully on film. -
