Fabulous Experience w/ Wedding Photographer
We just had our first anniversary and were reflecting on how magical our wedding day was and the biggest choices we made that contributed to that magic – Krysta was absolutely one of those. For people who are not naturals in front of the camera, but also wanting those timeless images to cherish for years to come, we needed an expert. Krysta knows how to give directions, how to plan key shots, and how to seamlessly integrate into a day, so that we could be present and enjoy it, but have the pictures as if you spent the whole day focused on photography. She also took the time to understand the beautiful landscape of our private home in Virginia and to capture the moments of natural beauty. She and her team did our engagement photos and wedding photos and did an incredible job. We would absolutely recommend Krysta to anyone, especially those doing a luxury, horse country wedding. -

We had the pleasure of working with Christie for our engagement shoot. Christie took us for an hour long walk around Porto during its’ famous sunset hour. It was romantic and beautiful. We had a warm-up period which helped us get rid of the awkwardness of posing for photos around a bunch of people.
Our shoot started at the Sao Bento train station and made our way through the city and ended up in Gaia for the final shots. The whole experience was fun and enjoyable, and the pictures turned out amazing.
She was easy going, down to earth, and made us feel comfortable during the photoshoot. I would recommend reaching out to her for any photoshoot needs. -

Krysta did a wonderful job shooting our engagement and wedding photos. My husband and I had never had professional photos taken of us before, but Krysta made us feel comfortable in front of the camera at our engagement shoot and made us feel well prepared for our wedding day. She also did a great job helping me perfect our wedding shot list and made sure we got all of the photos we wanted. We’re very happy with how our photos turned out and we can’t wait to see our photo album! -

Where do I even begin to write this review? Krysta is the best photographer that’s ever walked on this planet. Krysta is super professional, she goes above and beyond photography and takes charge so you feel at ease and comfortable in any situation and any pose with any group. Krysta is super flexible, she’s a problem solver, she does things with such grace that I wish I could have her around everywhere I go. Seriously, look no further if you need a photographer for any event. Krysta is the one and she does her magic and creativity that will leave you speechless. Krysta did our mini photoshoots as well as our wedding and everyone always compliments how amazing our pictures turn out. She knows the right angle, the lighting she knows how to work with kids and crazy family members alike and doesn’t even flinch at any tough situations thrown at her. She’s an absolute gem and we will absolutely be hiring Krysta for all of our photo ops and events in the future. Thank you Krysta! We love you!!! -

The quality of photos that Krysta captured during our wedding celebration were truly remarkable! From scaling shots of the vineyard, to the intimate moments between husband and wife, and even instagram worthy shots of our cocktail hour food, the numerous perspectives encapsulated in our album truly transport us back to that amazing day.
From the beginning when we took our engagement photos we knew Krysta would be a pleasure to work with. Not only did she meet us at early morning for the sunrise on a humid DC day, but her direction during that shoot made us feel comfortable and help capture great photos. Despite being delayed a year for our wedding celebration, that rapport we established during our initial photoshoot remained, putting us at ease on our wedding day and once again producing amazing work.
The photos were delivered in a reasonable amount of time after both photoshoots, and for what we received we thought the Wedding Package was a great value. I would not hesitate to recommend Krysta to family and friends, and we look forward to hiring her again in the future to capture more family photos. -

Incredible Photos & Experience
Y'all, I don't even know where to start with how amazing Krysta is. While planning a wedding during COVID, there were so many roadblocks and mishaps but through everything, Krysta was one of the only vendors that I could count on. She is professional, extremely responsive and works with you to get the style of photos that you want. The #1 thing people have said is that they loved how Krysta poses everyone in a flattering way. She doesn't just take 100 photos and hope one works . . . she truly makes sure that each one she takes could be in a frame. I don't know how she does it, but she's magic. Her personality is caring and warm but she can also get down to business with any difficult family members or guests to ensure that the couple is getting what they want out of the photos. She works well with all vendors and really coordinates the day to make sure everything you want happens. It rained all day on our wedding day but the photos look like it was sunny - she just knows how to make things work. After our ceremony, a rainbow came out and she got us outside and took some of the most beautiful photos within minutes!
I have used her on multiple occasions and there has NEVER been a time where I received a photo gallery and didn't love every single one. She has shot weddings for my family and friends as well as multiple "mini sessions", engagement shoots and even boudoir over the years. I truly treasure these photos and they are the only ones that are printed and displayed in our home. If I had to use one word to describe her, I would say she is consistent. She delivers quality photos regardless of the weather, time of year or location and that is something that is important to me. I can't recommend her enough for your wedding, event or family photos! -

Krysta walked us through every step of the process, and made us feel comfortable during an exciting (albeit stressful) time. A helpful takeaway for future brides looking to hire Krysta - she was worth every penny. I struggled to be present during the day, and she reassured me that she would “tell the story of the day” through her images, and not to worry. After the wedding, I started wishing I had been “in the moment“ more, wondering if maybe I chose the wrong dress, didn’t really pay attention to venue details, just questioning everything. It wasn’t until I received her images that I felt totally different about the day - I saw through her images how others experienced the day- I was able to look at the details of the venue, felt that I looked beautiful, caught so many beautiful details that I missed, and that would not have been possible without Krysta. Remember- the photographer you choose will heavily determine how you (and your future family/children/etc) end up remembering the day. -

My husband and I had the pleasure to work with Krysta for our engagement and wedding photography. She was absolutely wonderful to work with throughout the entire process, and made us feel incredibly at ease in front of the camera. When we met her in person for the first time the day of our engagement shoot, she immediately felt like an old friend. We were so happy with the experience that we brought her to Texas to shoot our wedding! The images are absolutely amazing and we would recommend her to anyone for their photography needs. -

Krysta Takes the Best Pictures!
Krysta far exceeded my expectations for a photographer. With her wedding package, you get an engagement session. My then fiance' and I took our photos at Dirt Farm Brewery and they turned out incredible! We were both nervous beforehand because we had never taken professional photos before, but Krysta directed us on how to pose and the pictures looked phenomenal. At the wedding, family members commented on how much they liked Krysta because she knew exactly what to do and told them how they should stand, where to look, where to put their hands etc. She took incredible photos that my husband and I will treasure forever. I am so glad we hired her as our photographer. -

Krysta was our wedding photographer for our Oct. 27, 2018 wedding and we also did an engagement shoot with her as a part of the package. My top (photography) concerns as a bride were: making the day calm and peaceful, capturing the atmosphere and documenting the love, and of course quality! I did a LOT of research and was terrified to go with a photographer that might not deliver what was promised OR a photographer that would be a challenge to work with on my wedding day (you don’t get to “test drive” the experience beforehand!)

What you would not know from Krysta’s photos is how organized and detailed she is! How the timeline of the day she helped me outline prior to my wedding was what ALL vendors operated from. You would not see in her images how calm she was, how she kept the "show" running seamlessly and all bridal party on track. You would not know from her photos that she scouts engagement locations based on YOUR personal style, she toured the venue for my wedding to identify the best spot for photos, and she even researched when sunset would be so I could have sunset photos on my wedding day.
Krysta is attentive and professional. She is easy to work with, makes you and your partner feel comfortable in front of the camera, and seeks to capture the details (big and small) that make memories last a lifetime. In the craziness of my "big day", I am grateful I had Krysta as a part of my team. Lastly - she promised full-delivery of our photos by a specific date and we actually got them EARLY (amazing!!).
P.S. I have also used Krysta for family portraits as a gift for my sister when she had her first baby. Also a wonderful experience and delivery of beautiful, cherished photos! -

I absolutely LOVE working with Krysta! She delivers consistently high-quality photos that I’ve been incredibly happy with every.single.time! She has shot personal events for me, clothing for my boutique, my sister’s wedding and several photo sessions for my friends and family. Recently, we took a trip out to Sylvanside Farm for a couples shoot featuring their cherry blossom orchard, and everyone that has looked at those photos says the same thing - “She captures so much joy!”. She knows what will look good in a photo and gives lots of guidance on posing, expressions, etc. What I really love about her is that she is organized and professional but also very easy and fun to be around while she’s shooting and it really makes the entire process a breeze. Nothing compares to her photos and the feelings that she is able to capture through them. I can’t say enough good things about my experiences with her and highly recommend Krysta Norman Photography! -

We experimented with a different photographer for engagement photos that we didn't love before we found Krysta. We were so grateful that we did find her since we had a very specific vision of what we wanted. She was able to get the light and romantic photos that we hoped for, and she beautifully captured all of the emotions and special moments of the day. When we first spoke, she asked all the right questions and she provided several examples of previous weddings she worked on so that we would be sure we were the right fit. She is also an excellent value for the quality of the photos, and she is a lovely person who is very easy to work with. I will definitely be recommending Krysta to my friends getting married in the DC area, and we will cherish our beautiful photos for the rest of our lives.

Catherine Sent on 10/19/2017Oh my goodness, any bride that is shopping for a photographer look no further! If you are a lady who loves vintage, classic, romantic pictures, Krysta is your girl. From getting in contact with me super quickly, to asking a million questions to know exactly what I wanted from my photographer, Krysta was on top of everything. She was super easy to work with, always making sure that I and my now husband were comfortable in her presence. Not to mention, that she took the time to get to know us and for us to get to know her. When the day of the wedding came around I really felt like I was talking to a dear friend.
Please, take a look at her website and go through her portfolios. She is a master at taking photos that you will treasure and keep close to your heart forever. I added just a few of my favorite pictures :) (only a few! she took so many and I loved that about her too!) -

I wanted a snowy engagement session and she was willing to wait for the perfect time to get the best shots! she gave us an abundance of photos from the wedding but we didn't spend any more time then the average taking photos. Krysta is a great person with great personality to have around on your wedding day. I would recommend her to anyone!

An amazing photographer and a wonderful person!
Krysta is absolutely amazing, and we were so lucky to work with her for our engagement photos, our elopement, and our wedding reception!! My husband and I are usually not comfortable in front of a camera, but Krysta made us feel at ease with her down-to-earth approach and hilarious direction and prompts. All our photos are absolutely breathtaking, and the only challenge has been struggling to choose which ones to print/use for cards because we love them all so much!
Most importantly, we can't say enough about what a wonderful, compassionate person Krysta is. Days before our intro call with her, we learned that our first rescue dog, Brie, had terminal cancer and wouldn't be with us much longer. Krysta squeezed us in so we could include her in our engagement photo shoot, and we will forever treasure the memories and photos of Brie's last full day with us. We're so excited to book a mini session with her this year, so we can introduce her to our new rescue dog, as well! -
