User2136117 Sent on 05/17/2015I traveled from New Jersey down to the Outer Banks of North Carolina for my wedding...... I found it nerve wracking to pick a stylist for my wedding day without knowing anyone in the area. Thanks to wedding wire and an extensive online portfolio I was able to find Laticia!!! Laticia was an absolute pleasure to work with! From day one at my trial session she put my mind at ease with her quality of work, along with her friendly relaxed demeanor. I was floored with the hair style and makeup achieved at the trial, however it paled in comparison to how I was transformed on my wedding day!!!! I am very fortunate to have found Laticia and I would full heartedly recommend her to anyone in need of immaculate airbrush make up and hair!!!

This is definitely her calling in life to make you feel Beautiful on the most important day of your life!
She went beyond my expectations with my wedding makeup. She also did several other people in the wedding party's makeup and everyone was very pleased. I would not use anyone else because I had to once and my makeup looked like I was suppose to be in a coffin!
I recommend Laticia to every Bride! She will make you look and feel like a Queen!
She was also there for pictures on the beach to make sure everything was perfect! -
User2121052 Sent on 05/06/2015Laticia saved my day! I had a makeup artist have to cancel for my bridal portrait session in April and the makeup artist referred Laticia. She was very flexible and squeezed me in after she had already worked a long day. We met at her home and she did my makeup for my portrait session. She noticed that I was not happy with my hair that I had done at another salon. She fixed my hair and completed my makeup. She followed me to the venue to where I was getting ready and went to the portrait session so she could make sure everything looked perfect. As soon as the veil went on we lost an eyelash and she was right there to help fix it! I think she was more worried about my look than I was! Once the portraits came in I knew I had to have her for our wedding day too!
She had another bride on the same day so I told her that I would wait for her! It was great because I was able to sit and chat with my bridesmaids while they got ready. When Laticia arrived we went to a room and got ready. At this point I still had not made up my mind on my hair. I told her that I trusted her and just do whatever she thought would look great. We decided I wanted my eye makeup a little heavier and that I did not want to see my completed look until I was dressed. At one point I was closing my eyes while we had a mirror in front of us so she could see my hair. It was perfect! I was dressed and then finally had my big reveal. It was perfect! She made me look amazing. I cried and cried all day and that makeup never budged. I would recommend her to anyone who is getting married! She is worth every penny!

Her pricing was a little more than I wanted to pay, but my wedding location is not a large city and I was limited by my options. Rather than risking booking someone that was out of the area and paying a travel fee, I decided to go with HueLaLa Esthetics. I live hours away from my wedding destination so we had discussed in length via email correspondence that we could combine the consult and trial (it's typically on two separate occasions). The day of our meeting, I called to confirm our consult and trial and Laticia was surprised that we were also doing a trial. She said she must have forgotten to add the trial to her calendar. I received a text a few hours before our meeting time that she was running late due to a prior client. We agreed on meeting 15-30 minutes after our original time. I received another text that she would still be late. My friend and I finally arrived at her house at the rescheduled time to be greeted at the door by her young son (couldn't have been any older than 5). We yelled for an adult with no answer. Rather than awkwardly standing her the lobby of a house only occupied by a young child, we sat and waited in our car for Laticia to arrive. When she did, we did the consult and trial, which was good. Being the optimist that I am, I booked her for my wedding. I paid her $120 for the trial and to secure my wedding date. We did not sign a formal contract. 1 month prior to my wedding, I received a call from a makeup artist I had never spoken to before. She advised me that Laticia had a family emergency and needed to go home and didn't know when she would be back. This other makeup artist offered me her services instead which was for $200 bridal makeup only. As my fiance and I were funding this wedding ourselves, this was completely out of my budget. I felt it was completely unprofessional that Laticia just handed me off to someone else with no personal explanation. Complete disappointment.No Filter Aesthetics's reply:
I am so very sorry at this miscommunication that happened during this process. It was never my intention to hand you off to another artist without speaking to you directly. I swore I had called everyone to tell them the news myself. And truly apologize that this happened. But it was a huge family emergency and I had to fly home immediately. Again, I'm sorry that things didn't work out.
