Jim is one of the nicest human beings I’ve ever worked with! His company is beyond extraordinary! He DJ’d our wedding reception at Raleigh City Club last year November ‘17...and he ROCKED IT!!! We met with him about a year prior to our wedding date, and he gave us a tutorial of his website and his music database. In the months leading up to the event, we selected our favorite songs from the website and created our playlist for everything. He was hassle free during the whole process. We showed up the day of the event and everything was setup and staged perfectly! The whole event flowed smoothly, from the first dance, to the speeches, all the way through to the last song of the evening...FLAWLESS! I would recommend Jim and his company to anyone who is planning a special event. I had a BLAST and I danced my ASS off! Jim, thank you SO much for everything you did to help make our wedding day AWESOME!!!

Jim is GREAT! I'm the type of bride who had a list of must play songs and Jim made sure he fit each one of them into the night. It was super easy to communicate with him and I was even able to send him my Spotify playlists for the big day. He's affordable, professional and super friendly! My family and friends loved him! So much so that I heard they were starting a fund to see if they could keep him around an extra hour :P Definitely would recommend!Jim is GREAT! Jim did an incredible job with our reception at Fearrington! He was extremely professional and kept the dance floor going from the start to the very last song! He kept everything running smoothly for the reception and played a great variety of music to make sure all of our guests had the best time!

Jim went above and beyond my expectations for our wedding. From the first time I spoke with Jim, I knew that he would be professional and fun! I could tell that he loves his job and knows exactly how to read a crowd. The music planner that Jim includes makes the process so easy - we were able to choose all the songs that were played at our wedding, and Jim played them in the PERFECT order. He knew exactly how to layer the songs to make sure everyone was having fun. More than that, he was so attentive! I was a very detailed bride, and gave Jim a detailed timeline of everything - well, as weddings go, our timing didn't stick to the schedule, but Jim made sure to check in with me to let me know his thoughts and his plan for adjusting the timing to make sure I was ok with it - he knew EXACTLY what to do to keep the party going, but still make sure we had our special moments like cake cutting. i appreciated that he always made sure I was ok and happy. it was the best night, and Jim played an integral role in that. Working with Jim from Ninety Nine Entertainment was such a great decision! He made our wedding and wedding reception absolutely beautiful! Jim was very professional, provided excellent service, and was very flexible. If you are looking for great uplighting at a reasonable price in the RDU area, Ninety Nine Entertainment would be an excellent choice. My husband and I are in total agreement that Jim did a fantastic job at our daughter's wedding! He was a pleasure to work with and truly made for a flawless ceremony and reception. We decided at the last minute (literally 10 minutes before the wedding ceremony) to have the ceremony outside (the rain let up, but Jim set up inside per our original plans) - and without hesitation he rushed to pull off everything outside. Not an easy task when you have electrical, speakers, mics, etc. to set up! Moving inside to the reception, he was spot on with his timing of events (toasts, speakers, slideshow presentation... and the list goes on). We didn't have to worry about a thing as he was so professional and organized, knowing exactly what was expected and when. He even made a soundtrack of 3 songs melded together for the father/daughter dance... because my husband loved them all and couldn't decide! Bottom line, Jim will not disappoint and he will certainly get the crowd going! (Married in July 2015) Jim was a pleasure to work with--when I got married, we decided rather last minute that we wanted a DJ at the reception, and Jim got back to us efficiently and effectively, something many other DJ's didn't do. (Some got back to us quickly with no information, and some got back to us slowly with great information. Jim got us the info we needed in the time we needed). Due to time constraints, my fiancée and I were not available to meet in person with Jim, as he usually does with clients, but he set up a phone call so we could get a feel for him and his company, and vice versa, before we made a decision.
Once we decided to go with 99 Entertainment, setting up the music was a breeze. They a tool on their website that lets you build the list of what you'd like to hear, definitely don't want to hear, etc. The really helpful part though, comes in on the reception planner. This is a database you build with Jim that has everything in the reception listed out: Introductions, first dance, bouquet toss, etc. You put in all the names that will be announced, the times for everything, special instructions, songs you want played when, and it saves it all for you. We filled out the songs and names, and then we turned the form over to our wedding director, who worked with Jim to develop the flow of the reception.
Day of, it was great! Jim has a great personality, engaged people without being that obnoxious wedding DJ that we've all encountered before, tailored the music to what the crowd was into (while staying within the bounds of what we requested), and was flexible on the times of certain events shifting.
All in all, I highly recommend 99 Entertainment. Even with minimal preparation on our part, they delivered a solid experience and a good time!

He was an absolute pleasure to work with from the very beginning...very friendly, honest, fun and professional. He was always available with any questions we had and even took our playlist of over 100 songs and fine tuned it for us. Everyone had a blast during our reception and they haven't stopped talking about the dancing and music. Jim, thank you for making it a night to remember!! He answered all our questions and explained every aspect of the reception. He made awesome suggestions to make sure everyone was having a good time. We hired Jim as our wedding DJ and "day-of coordinator".
The first time we met, I had about 100 questions for him and Jim walked us through the whole process and made it so easy for us to plan our day and really get the feel that we wanted for our ceremony and reception. Jim was very professional and friendly, always quick to respond to my e-mails and to help me with my music selections.(and I had a lot of questions!)
Our wedding day went without a glitch, Jim was right on point with the music and everyone was dancing and was having a blast at the reception! he also did a great job coordinating everything for us, guiding our guests through the evening, making sure toasts went smoothly... it was so nice not to have to worry about anything!
Jim's a real professional with a great attitude, if you pick him, you're in good hands.

Jim Unger was incredible! From the very beginning at our first meeting where I left energized just talking to him to the night of the wedding, we have nothing but great things to say. My husband is a musician and half of our wedding guests were as well so we wanted a DJ so that no one would be offended that we didn't ask them to play but at the same time were worried that our musically inclinded guests would be easily displeased. Add to that that my family HATES dancing and my in laws LOVE it, it was going to be a challenge. No one ever felt pressured to be on the dance floor but it was also never empty. We had classic rock, standard dance anthems and a bit of tejano for the Texans. Jim was a pleasure to work with and took all of our requests and suggestions and made them work seamlessly. He was ready and willing (at no extra charge) to be back up in case a few of our live events didn't pan out and while we luckily didn't need him for those parts of the reception, I knew he would have done a great job filling in the gaps. He put everyone in a great mood and though for me the night is still a blur, all of our musician friends were very pleased!Jim Unger was incredible! My daughter's Sweet 16 went off without a hitch thanks to Jim! He has a talent for being vivacious, engaging and not to mention entertaining! My daughter had the best time ever, and will remember her birthday party for years to come! Jim was a fantastic DJ for my adult bat mitzvah party. He was pleasant and easy to work with. I got his name online after several other DJ's gave me a hard time about my choice of music for my event. Jim wanted to play what i wanted and had perfect music. He also supplied the mikes for my entertainers without additional charges. His fee was less than others I contacted. He is also such a nice person I enjoyed talking with him to tell him about my event and who would be there. Jim, from Ninety Nine Entertainment was great. We had 42 adults and 37 kids. He kept everyone happy. The games he played with the kids were so much fun to watch. The songs he played kept everyone on the floor. He made my daughter feel special, since it was her special day and that was a big deal to me! My friend's are continuing to rave about him to me. For my next daughter's Bat Mitzvah in 6 years...we will be calling him back again.
