Working with Nikki to plan for my wedding day hair and my bridesmaids and mothers and just all every look and hairstyle that was requested was amazing. From beginning stages of planning to the day of (including last minute changes and updates) Nikki and her team were professional, understanding, patient, and kind. Most of all, we all looked so amazing when everything was said and done. I was nervous when searching for a stylist that could work on all types of hair and I was so glad I chose Nikki. Talented and kind and you absolutely get what you pay for. She was amazing in every way and I’m so grateful to her and her team. -

From our first consultation to the wedding day, Nikki made sure my experience was seamless. I found her through styleseat and not only were her prices very competitive, but she also offered packages for bridal parties upfront which as a bride made my day so much simpler. Once I went to her Instagram, I was sold.
Our consultation was easy and I was able to share what looks and colors I might like. ultimately I chose a package for three plus the bride and it included a makeup preview which I scheduled a month before the wedding. I also included a male wedding day grooming session as part of it. She was ready with the look I wanted and the makeup trial was great.
On the wedding day, Nikki was running late but communicated this perfectly and was very reassuring that thing would still be on time. When she arrived, she followed the timeline sent, was very efficient while still making everyone feel like the best version of themselves and we were very much ON TIME. My husband loved his grooming session and was very pampered and loved the natural youthful glow it gave him. My mom and aunt had not done there makeup in a long while and this was an absolute treat for them and their reaction was heartwarming.
I ended up deciding to change my look at the last minute, going for a classic Hollywood glam look and Nikki took this in stride and executed perfectly.also my makeup lasted through tears and a quick nap.
I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding day experience for everyone involved and I would use Nikki for any makeup services in future and also recommend her services to anyone!Nikki Jay Artistry, LLC's reply:

I recently had my Bridal Makeup Preview for my upcoming wedding and it was a wonderful experience. Nikki was professional, friendly and easy to talk to. She asked questions to get a feel of what you like, what you don't like and what overall look you are going for. You won’t be disappointed
I found Nikki Jay on instagram as I was looking for a make up artist that specializes in soft glam. I don’t wear make up everyday and the first couple of trials I had with other make up artists were complete fails. When I reached out to Nikki Jay she was responsive and professional. She helped me achieve the desired look I was going for and her prices are phenomenal. My girls and I received so many compliments about our make up and I will definitely book her for future events. Perfection!
Working with Nikki Jay was the best decision I made for my makeup on my wedding day. From the initial call to the trial to the actual wedding day the entire process was easy. I looked in the mirror on my wedding day and felt so pretty because of how perfect my makeup was. She did exactly the look I was going for and got compliments all night long. Nikki did makeup for my entire bridal party including myself and my mother and my bridesman! We all looked fabulous and my bridesman said his makeup has never looked so good and so natural! I truly felt so beautiful on my wedding day! The only issue was that her and her hair person were almost an hour late. The circumstances were understandable and bad luck, but the schedule was thrown off by this. Luckily we had padding in our schedule that was able to accommodate this. -

Best Day Ever
I used Nikki and her team for my wedding on 7/11/25 and was so happy with the results! The makeup was flawless and lasted beautifully through the July heat. My bridesmaids and I felt gorgeous but still natural, and we received so many compliments throughout the day. Lanishka was also wonderful, her positive energy made getting ready so fun!
There was one hiccup, but it was rectified later, and overall I was very pleased with the quality of the services. I would recommend Nikki for her talent and professionalism. -

If I could give zero stars, I most definitely would! Nikki J tried to ruin my wedding day but God stepped in! Hours before my wedding day on May 17th, Nikki J told me that she needed to bring her sick child that required around the clock medical treatment and her babysitter to my home in order to perform both my hair and makeup services!!! Absolutely not! Not professional in the least AND extreme liability for me and my husband as homeowners! Luckily my husband has a huge network of friends and I was able to secure a mother/daughter duo at MIDNIGHT!, hours before my big day! Brides to be BEWARE or you will be forced to have people not performing services you paid for while in your home OR be left with chaos trying to secure an alternative last minute before your most important day! Nikki J needs a total overhaul on how she conducts business! I will continue to warn others about her and her businessNikki Jay Artistry, LLC's reply:

While I typically let my work and countless five-star reviews speak for themselves, your repeated attempts to defame my name and business can no longer go unchecked. It’s deeply disheartening to see a grown woman—newly into her marriage—still investing this much time and energy into attacking a small Black-Owned, Woman-Owned business over a situation entirely outside of my control.
Let’s be clear: I did not "set you up" or breach our agreement. My son experienced a sudden, serious asthma episode the night before your wedding. As a mother and a business owner, I did what any responsible, caring professional would do—I informed you of the situation in real time and began offering solutions in accordance with our signed contract, which you received and agreed to months in advance. That contract clearly states that in the event of an emergency, a qualified and trusted associate would be sent in my place—and one was secured.
The reference to me “bringing my son and a babysitter to your home” was never a finalized plan—it was a suggested option I shared transparently, because I didn’t want to leave you without a solution. You never allowed the conversation to continue or resolve. Instead, you immediately escalated, refused any resolution, and canceled ON YOUR OWN—then demanded a full refund, including for services already rendered like your bridal preview and outlined administrative fees.
Let’s be honest here: this wasn’t about any lack of care or professionalism on my part. This was a moment where you could’ve shown compassion and understanding, and instead chose retaliation, hatred and public shaming.
Dragging your husband into your personal vendetta to post multiple coordinated reviews on various platforms of mine, making false claims, name calling and calling my parenting into question is not only uncalled for—it’s harassment.
Every bride deserves peace and joy leading up to her wedding and that is what I provided you. I am sorry my son went into respiratory distress and it impacted your
wedding . I truly am. It was clearly not my intention and clearly outside of my control . As a service provider and a mother these are situations I dread and never want to happen. And yet here I am—days, weeks, and now months later—still being harassed for something that was resolved as best as possible under the unforseen circumstances.
What you are doing now is not a warning to other brides—it’s a character assassination attempt built on a one-sided, emotionally charged narrative that twists truth and lacks maturity. How can you mention God in any of your "reviews," claiming He helped you? Where is Christ in how you are behaving now?? I'm frankly just appalled. Any sound-minded person reading this can see the vitriol and vindictiveness behind your words and actions.
I too have receipts, I have a contract, and I also have boundaries.
If your harassment continues, I will be forced to pursue legal action to protect myself and my business.
At the end of the day, you made your choice—to cancel your services, ignore the resolution offered, and now to twist the truth in hopes of damaging me and my business. But your behavior says far more about your character than it ever could about mine.
May you find peace in your new life and redirect your energy to where it belongs.
