We cannot say enough good things about Nightlife Band and, especially, Shelli. We originally saw Shelli perform at a friend’s wedding where it was just her and one other band member and even with only the two of them, they completely lit up the dance floor. From that moment, we knew she was the choice for our wedding.
We booked the full Nightlife Band crew for our big day and have not regretted it for a second. Shelli is an absolute powerhouse of a lead singer and brings an incredible amount of energy. She was hopping, dancing, and engaging with the crowd all night long, making it genuinely impossible for our guests to stay off the dance floor. Weeks after our wedding, we are still getting compliments about how amazing the band was and how much fun everyone had.
They did a perfect mix of oldies and newer songs, which kept guests of all ages dancing all night. Shelli was also incredibly flexible and fun—whether it was making last-minute changes when my husband suddenly decided we had to be lifted up on chairs to a specific song (haha), when my family wanted to announce the score of the Washington Capitals game, or when my friend grabbed the mic and serenaded us to “Don’t Stop Believin’.” She rolled with everything seamlessly and made it all feel intentional, exciting, and effortless.
Shelli even brought us up on stage, and her entire crew was dancing alongside us, making us and our guests feel so special and celebrated. The band truly engaged every single person in the room.
It is truly impossible not to have the time of your lives when you book Nightlife Band, we cannot recommend them highly enough.

One of the best wedding decisions we made
We hired the NightLife Band for our wedding and it was one of the best decisions we made. Shelli was great to work with leading up to and throughout, always responsive, upbeat, eager to accommodate our requests, and she really helped us make the day a success by emceeing and keeping us on schedule. Throughout the night of the performance and over the days following our wedding, guests kept asking us where we found the band and telling us how much the loved the performance. We had guests dancing that usually don't touch the dancefloor. It was a blast. We couldn't recommend the NightLife band enough. They're the ultimate professionals with the way that they approach the event and they deliver on the performance. Thank you NightLife!
A few more details for anyone considering using NightLife: their rates are affordable, you can pick the number of band members you need for your event, and having them perform is so much better than having a DJ. They truly put our wedding over the top.

65th birthday party
Shelli and Will (Nightlife Duo) are the “bestest” band in the whole world. We hired them for my wife’s 65th birthday party. We’ve been fans of NightLife for many years, and just had to have them play at her birthday party! They played a variety of songs offering a mix of current popular songs and older timeless classics from a long list of artists. Will is fantastic on guitar, and Shelli is the life of the party. So happy and energetic. I love her energy both singing and dancing throughout the night. All of our guests said how much they enjoyed them. Even the children were on the floor dancing and enjoying themselves. I know who I will be recommending to all my friends who need a band for their wedding or any other special event. St. Patrick's 20th Anniversary Gala
We had NightLife play the 20th Anniversary of St. Patrick's School in Rockville and they were amazing. Shelli was easy to work with during the planning stages and Will was a pro doing the setup. They played a wide range of music during the cocktail hour, then dinner and closing the night with 2.5 hours of non-stop energy and music. I would recommend them for any event or wedding. Great band for all ages.

From first contact to the wedding day, the NightLife Band was everything I could ever ask for in a band!! The communication was easy, attentive, and (dare I say it) fun! Shelli is so full of life and energy, it's contagious, and she really made the whole process simple and affordable. We had 200 guests at our wedding and have heard nothing but rave reviews from them as well, with each band member getting different shout outs for various reasons. Truly these guys make a great team and they love what they do, and, as someone with a keen ear for music, they're great at it, too! Honestly, they fit right in with the rest of the guests and felt more like part of the family than a hired vendor!! NightLife Band was a great choice for our event!
We had NightLife Band at our recent fundraiser. Working with Shelli was a great experience from start to finish. Shelli was always very accommodating as we modified the vision of our event. She was always available to answer questions, and relayed all of our event details to Kurt, or DJ extraordinaire.
The night of our event, Kurt was phenomenal! His music selection was appropriate to the event, and he was always willing to make announcements helping us to keep the evening running smoothly. When the dance floor opened, Kurt had a great selection of songs and brought his enthusiasm to every song he played and sang. EVERYONE loved Kurt, and by popular demand we already have him booked for next year's fundraising event!

I cannot speak highly enough of Shelli and the band. First, just in the planning of our timeline and working in a few special surprises to working through things with our venue and special audio/ video was incredibly helpful. She also lined up a string duo for our ceremony and cocktail hour. During our reception, the kept things moving, kept the guests excited, energized and ON THE DANCE FLOOR. We had so much fun!!! Outstanding Band!
The Humane Society of Calvert County had Shelli and her fantastic band play for our biggest fundraiser of the year, and they sure did not disappoint! Shelli and her band are so professional and courteous and go to great lengths to ensure customer satisfaction. They are engaging with the audience, can play all types of music and Shelli is a fantastic singer and her band will rock the house! They keep the crowd on their feet wanting more! Fun, high-energy band!
I cannot say enough good things about Shelli and NightLife! Firstly, my husband and I were one of the couples caught up in the spring 2020 wedding postponements and ended up having to postpone our wedding multiple times. Shelli was unbelievably empathetic and understanding each time and remained incredibly communicative. I so appreciated her check-ins and kind words throughout this process. She was also so flexible--we had worked out a timeline ahead of time, but of course things come up and shift in the moment--and Shelli (and team!) adapted like an absolute pro every time. An absolute pleasure to work with. And NightLife's actual performance was outstanding! NightLife is an incredibly high-energy band with a fantastic music selection, incredible performances, and fun dance moves! Our guests were absolutely raving the entire night about how amazing they were, commenting that they were the best band they'd ever seen at a wedding. I'd have to agree! The music performances were incredible, but it was evident that they were having a great time, which was infectious! We feel so, so lucky that Shelli and NightLife were able to be a part of our celebration--even after 3 years of postponements! I have to agree with our guests that they're the best wedding band around. If you're thinking about hiring them for your event--DO IT! You absolutely will not regret it.

Incredible wedding band! 11/10!!
My wife and I were so thrilled to have The NightLife band at our wedding! Shelli was such a pleasure to work with leading up to the wedding. She was very helpful in picking songs that would be great for a wedding when we were looking for suggestions. The night of the wedding was unforgettable and we received so many compliments from guests saying it was the best wedding they've been to. They played all the songs/genres we requested and were very high energy! Shelli would dance with the guests and lead the group dances to keep everyone in sync. She was awesome! One thing that I was concerned about hiring a live band was them being too loud and not being able to talk with all our friends and family that we haven't seen in years, but that was not an issue at all. The volume was perfect the whole night. I highly recommend hiring these guys! They are pros through and through! We had a beautiful, memorable wedding and couldn't have asked for a better wedding band.

Highlight of our wedding!
Nightlife was honestly the highlight of our wedding and the best decision we made about the entire day. Our wedding ended up being much smaller than initially intended because of COVID so I was worried there wouldn’t be enough people dancing, and that it might be awkward, but I was so wrong!! Nightlife got everyone up on their feet and having fun! They played high energy songs that were fun for all ages. We had my young nieces and nephews, my college friends, and my parents and their friends all out on the dance floor enjoying themselves. They were just such a blast. We also had an acoustic duet play during dinner and it was so so nice. The band took turns playing solos and just rocking out. Shelli was so easy to work with throughout this process and our multiple reschedules. Her experience of the flow of a reception was much appreciated when planning out the itinerary. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU HIRE THEM FOR YOUR WEDDING. Worth every penny!

We had NightLife for our Yacht Club Commodore's Ball, not a wedding. But their talent apply to any celebratory party. The enthusiasm and energy level of the band members are unmatched. What a fantastic band!
We hired NightLife Band for our daughter’s May 2020 wedding which was ultimately postponed until May 8, 2021. Wow, was it worth the wait! Words can’t begin to express how happy we were with our decision to go with this band. First of all, Shelli is one of the most personable and responsive professionals that I’ve had the pleasure to work with. She returned calls and emails immediately, and she tailored the evening to our specifications, happily including all of our favorite songs. Nightlife is every bit as energetic and fun as the multitude of five star reviews suggest. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how fantastic the band was, and people jammed the dance floor all night long. Don’t hesitate. Hire this band!

The Nightlife Band has provided the entertainment for our annual Valentine's Gala fundraiser for the past 7 years. We love working with Shelli and the band. They are easy to work with leading up to and during the event. People love their music; the selections are perfectly tailored to our audience and the dance floor is packed all night. NightLife is such a fantastic band. I cannot say enough good things about them. Shelli, Kurt and the rest of the gang are so lively! Shelli comes out into the crowd to sing and dance with you (limited during COVID) and just brings her performance to life. Dancing all night
I booked Shelli and The Nightlife Band for a black tie charity Gala I co-chaired (Feb 2020). They were phenomenal! The booking process was simple, great communication leading up to the event and the guests loved their energy. This was a veterans gala and Shelli needed to also sing the National Anthem, she did so flawlessly. This event happens annually and I have never seen so much dancing before. Would 100% work with them again

20th Anniversary Party
Night Life played for our 20th anniversary party. They were low-key and provided excellent music during dinner, then amped it up and had everyone dancing. Even the venue staff said it was so much fun and they had never had an event anything like it. Young and old were dancing the night away. love them!

My husband and I got married a week ago and people are still talking about how great the band was. NightLife was UNBELIEVABLE!! Shelli and the rest of the band were fantastic! They had so much energy and the dance floor was packed all night long! Shelli has had so much experience and she totally knew how to run the show and the schedule, timeline, etc. If NightLife is available for your wedding, you will be so lucky!! Wonderful experience!
We are so happy we chose Nightlife as our wedding band! They were very professional, were great with helping us develop a timeline of the wedding reception, and of course were wonderful musicians/performers!
The process starts when Shelli, the lead singer and band leader, sending out a questionnaire of how we want the day to go, what songs we want to play, and any other detail we can think of musically. Shelli will take all of our answers, and make suggestions based on our tastes and if we wanted it to be a food focused event or dancing focused event. The suggestions really helped make sure we got everything out of the band, and make sure we made use of our time. Shelli even provided up lighting that really accented our reception room.
It was evident they had A LOT of experience playing at weddings! Having a very experienced band be essentially in charge of the flow of the wedding reception allowed us to completely relax and enjoy our perfect day. We have received numerous compliments about our band and 3 months later our guests are still raving about Nightlife! The music was everything we could have hoped for and more. All of their musicians were fantastic and very friendly. They played everything we asked them too and more…it was really amazing! If we were to plan our wedding all over again we would 100% hire Nightlife again. We recommend them to all of our family and friends!

Absolutely incredible! Guests kept saying it was the "best wedding ever" thanks to NightLife!
NightLife provided the most incredible wedding entertainment and we could not have asked for anything better! NightLife was such a pleasure to work with in the months leading up to our wedding. Shelli was so organized and made planning for the reception such a breeze. She drafted a schedule for the whole reception and ensured everything we wanted was incorporated, while still leaving plenty of time for dancing. At the reception, NightLife kept everything flowing beautifully so we didn't have to think about it and could just have fun with our guests. NightLife was so interactive too and put on such a great show. Our guests had an awesome time and kept coming up to us all night raving about NightLife's performance, saying it was the "best wedding ever" and that "we'd never had so much fun at a wedding before." If you are looking for live entertainment for your wedding, look no further. Nightlife is the best live band for any event that will keep your dance floor packed all night long. They play a wide variety of music that is tailored to your preferences that will also appeal to all ages at your event. Their energy on stage is unmatched and is not only great to dance to but to watch and listen as they choreograph moves to many of their songs. Shelli was awesome and easy to work with allowing us to customize our musical preferences, use pre-recorded music for some of our first dances as they were choreographed to original score as well as performing some of the tunes as well. There is the perfect blend of energetic and slow songs, to allow all guests to enjoy the dance floor. If you are also looking for ceremony music as well, Nightlife works with String Poets to provide string music. They also will provide sound support for your ceremony as well if needed as an add on option. We have been to multiple events where Nightlife has performed, and every single time is awesome! We knew that we could put our trust in them for our big day in June 2019. Many wedding guests continue to rave about the music from our wedding to this day 3 months later. They made a lasting impression and can’t wait to dance to their music soon!

Retirement Party for Hubby after 43 Years
If I could give the NightLife Band 100 stars, I would! We have followed NightLife for several years but only recently hired them for a surprise retirement party for my husband, and they did not disappoint, no surprise! Shelli's constant energy makes it difficult to stay in your seat, and her voice is beyond fabulous! Kurt's saxophone playing is out of this world great, not to mention he has a great connection with Shelli on stage! There are not enough words to describe how phenomenal they truly are.

Nightlife is a fantastic band! They bring a lot of energy and really keep the party going! We wanted a band that could really cover all genres and decades with the variety of people at our wedding. Their song list was certainly one of the most extensive, and they really knew how to engage to crowd to keep them going. LW Halloween Dance Party
It was so much fun handling the Halloween party this year. NightLife is an excellent band. As soon as they started playing there was a mass exodus from tables to the dance floor. And it stayed that way all night. Most people did not leave the dance floor until the band took a break. Shelli was wonderful at organizing the parade of costumes. Her comments entertained the participants as they circled the dance floor while we selected the winners. Any time NightLife appears for our dances, I will be there and bring all my friends!

NightLife is the ultimate wedding band. From our first interactions, Shelli was warm and accommodating, flexible and just lovely to deal with. Having seen the band live many times, their performance at the wedding still managed to blow away our expectations. Shelli talked to us multiple times before the wedding to make sure everything was just the way we wanted. In reality we ended up relying heavily on their musical and crowd pleasing genius. The band can do everything, from the keyboard performance during the cocktail hour, the fabulous saxophone performance and of course the unbelievable vocals has our guests still talking. The dance floor was packed from the beginning to end. We could not recommend NightLife more highly and look forward to going to many more of their performances in the future.

Absolutely fantastic....without them I don't know how my party would have went. They were a hit. No one was in their seats and people came up to me and said it was the most fun they have had at a wedding. I would not hesitate to reccomend NightLife to anyone who needs a band.

If you are looking for a band to provide non-stop, energy-packed entertainment for your big day, then Nightlife Band is the way to go! Shelli and her team worked with us on every detail from the second we booked them up until our wedding day. They contracted our string quartet, worked with us on editing a track for our ‘flash-mob,’ and made it a point to learn certain special songs that we hoped would be performed live.
Shelli commutated openly with our day-of coordinator to make sure timelines were precise, and worked with us to get us everything that we hoped for on a reasonable budget.
When it came to the big day, Shelli and her team were phenomenal! The energy that they brought to our reception was electric! Our family and friends love to dance, so anything but top of the line nightlife entertainment would NOT have worked. Nightlife Band was JUST THAT! They kept everyone dancing until the end of the night, and had us begging for more. Their song selection was incredibly eclectic and included everything from classic hits to today’s top 40!
Thank you, Nightlife Band for making both our ceremony and reception more incredible than we could have ever imagined!

NightLife was fantastic! Very entertaining and sounded great! Played a wide variety of music, something for everyone at our event. Everyone was asking for the name of the band. I would not hesitate to hire them again.

Kurt and Shelli absolutely rocked my daughter’s wedding reception. Everyone enjoyed the entertainment so much. I overheard so many of our guests say that it was the best reception they had ever been to, and it was because Kurt and Shelli got them off their seats and on to the dance floor. I wish we could do it all again!

Shelli and Nightlife are just flat out amazing! They are professional, responsive to special requests, flexible, fun, and talented! And I mean talented! And they bring an energy that is unstoppable - everyone feels it and that helps make any event successful. Attendees are happy and energized and create a great party! Our fundraising events wouldn't be the same without them, and that's why we book them every year, year after year after year!

If you’re looking for amazing (i.e. the BEST) live entertainment to play at your wedding or next event, then this is THE band to book! You will definitely not be disappointed. We hired the full band to play at our wedding reception on 4/21/18 and our guests are still talking about how awesome they were! Anyone planning a wedding knows how many details need to be taken care of; especially if you’re doing it all yourself like we did. The week before the wedding, my brother asked me to send him our song “playlist.” I just laughed and said, “We don’t need a playlist because we hired THIS band.” Nightlife gave us the confidence that they would bring the energy and feeling that “we’re all going to have a really great time at our wedding.” We never doubted that feeling for a second, because Shelli, the band leader, is so cool to work with. She totally puts you at ease and makes sure the final details are all in place for a great party! And, how nice it felt to not have to worry about things like picking out what songs to play at your reception. Yes, they will work with you to make sure you hear what you want to hear, but to have that kind of trust that they will handle everything because they know what they are doing is such a relief to an already stressed out bride! So, for all those brides out there that want to cross off one less thing to worry about – BOOK NIGHTLIFE RIGHT NOW, you won’t regret it.

The band is amazing - they get our gala crowd on their feet early and keep them dancing all night long! We love how they interact with the crowd and dance along with the guests. Oh, and the costumes, we love how they fit into our theme! Shelli is amazing, making annoucements, urging our guests to bid on auction items, she handles it all perfectly! Everything from start to finish is a great experience!

We are sooo happy we were able to schedule the night life to play at our wedding!!! We had seen them play at 3 other weddings and they blew us away. At the third wedding we attended, members of our family were also there as guests and before the night was over they insisted we reach out to the band to schedule them for our upcoming wedding. Luckily, it worked out perfectly! Shelli was very nice to work with - she was very accommodating of our special requests and also gave us helpful recommendations. They traveled from D.C. to central Pennsylvania, worked well with our venue in advance to ensure day-of set up went smoothly, and also collaborated with our cousin who provided the lighting and other audio equipment. Our guests were blown away by their vocals, dance moves and overall performance! They will forever be in our memories of our special day! We would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

Nightlife did such a great job at our wedding!! I can’t say enough good things about them. We received so many compliments from guests about how fun Nightlife was, how engaged they were, and what a good time folks were having because of the band. Shelli was extremely helpful in the weeks leading up the wedding, helping with timeline of the reception and flow of the wedding, and at the wedding, checking with us to make sure we were ready for introductions, cake cutting, etc. We really appreciated all the guidance and help, and we REALLY appreciate the awesome time everyone had because of Nightlife. Thank you!!

We have used them 3 times for a hospice black tie gala. Have used different numbers of the band for price. Had the full monty for my daughters wedding fabulous. Just as great with 6 or 8 members.

Nightlife was the LIFE of the party! Not only was communication before our wedding seamless with Shelli but they really understood exactly what we were looking for. It was important for us that everyone attending our wedding (ages 18-80) was on the dance floor at all times and they certainly kept the party going into the night. Where to start. The Nightlife Band.........WOW. My wife and I had the pleasure of hearing the Nightlife Band two times before the wedding at two different venues (a wedding and a fundraiser). When it came time to choose a band for our big day this was one of the easiest decisions that we had. Nightlife was a must. Shelli was our contact and was very responsive. We did not have a wedding planner and was a little nervous on how everything would work out. Trust me when I say this, you don't have to worry. Everything went absolutely perfect. I could go on and on. The only recommendation I have is to get a big dance floor.

Nightlife , once again gave a high energy , professional , crowd pleasing performance at OSCC Men’s Member Guest . The dance floor was packed all night and our guests were treated to outstanding music and entertainment . Nightlife has a wide range of music from the Motown era to today’s top charted hits . NightLife stands the test of time for stellar celebrations. They made my mom's 80th birthday celebration this past summer spectacular and memorable for guests of all ages. Not an easy task when you have generations of family members clamoring for the microphone. They got everyone up dancing and joining the festivities. We loved them as much as we did when they played our wedding celebration over 25 years ago!

We got married at the Baltimore Four Seasons and this August and had NightLife band for our cocktail hour and reception. They are AMAZING! They had our guests dancing ALL night, we had so much fun!!! Even people who DON'T dance, were dancing at our wedding!
Their variety is great, and they are awesome at reading a crowd! They were called back out at the end of the night for one last song, and many of our guests went up and gave them compliments! You will not be disappointed!

Ok Shelli & NightLife- you guys ROCK! Heard you perform at a CF Gala here in Baltimore and knew if we ever needed a band you would be the one we called- fast forward 3 years and one engagement and the rest is party history! The dance floor was packed all night long and people are still raving about how great that band was. Truly a fantastic experience- couldn't have asked for a more fun group.

THE BEST BAND EVER!!! Shelli and the band are absolutely AMAZING! The dance floor was packed the whole night. EVERYONE danced. Both our wedding guests and staff members at The Four Seasons gushed about the electrifying atmosphere Shelli and the band created. Also, Shelli is the best wedding emcee I've ever seen. Spectacular! A most amazing band. I heard them at two different weddings and then hired them to play at my husband's 70th birthday party. They rocked the party! Traveling from the east coast to Seattle wasn't easy, but they were ready to make it the best night of dancing ever for our 100+ guests. All the music they played fit the guests' demographics. Their energy and musicality was contagious and everyone stayed till the end to keep on dancing. Each band member is very talented and the leader (Shelli) helped me plan the party with tons of great advice.

Once again The NightLife Band provided the music for our annual Valentine's Gala Fundraiser at the Columbia Sheraton Hotel. They are a crowd favorite at this event, providing softer music during dinner followed by two wonderful dance sets. We have a wide varienty of ages at our event and everyone has a good time. The dance floor is packed the entire evening. I coordinate this event and I find the band leaders to extremely accommodating and easy to work with. We definitely plan to have them back again next year.
