Do yourself a favor and book Nick! AMAZING!!!

You cannot go wrong with Nick. He is amazing, talented, knowledgeable, prepared for anything, so quick to respond, and up to play any music! We hired Nick and Brian to play guitar and violin for our ceremony and cocktail hour music. I can’t tell you how many of our guests were raving about them! These two were so much fun and provided a beautiful soundtrack to our wedding. I’m still getting texts and calls from our guests saying how wonderful they were and so unique. I was glad I could attend cocktail hour to hear them play! Do yourself a favor and book Nick now for the most amazing and memorable wedding music experience!!!!

Wonderful and talented

Nick has been an absolute pleasure to work with especially during the crazy times brought on by the pandemic. Easy to communicate with and always understanding and easy going. Would recommend him to anyone looking for a talented artist to perform for their wedding.

Wonderful Addition to our Wedding

My husband is a guitar player and loved music so having a quality musician for our wedding was very important to us. Nick delivered on incredible quality and professionalism. Nick provided ideas for our playlist and helped us through the process. I wanted a unique song for my processional that was difficult and Nick learned it with ease. It made our wedding day even more special and enjoyable. His music during our backyard wedding's "cocktail hour" added such a fun element and many guests commented how great he was. I would highly recommend Nick.

awesome live music

We hired Nick and his friend Brain Fitzy who plays Violin to perform at our wedding for the ceremony and cocktail hour. They were very easy to plan with and very responsive with everything we asked in the planning process. We picked them because they were able to play music beyond just a music list which all the other musicians had. They were able to play a wide range of music from oldies, alternative, and adult pop and excel in each area. They showed up early and were very response to direction from the venue staff about where to set up. During the cocktail hour we had a significant amount of guests tell us about how good their music was and how Nick and Brian were such a good combo. For anyone getting married who would like live music I would 100% recommend them to play at your wedding.

Wonderful guitarist!

Nick was absolutely fantastic! We had him perform for our ceremony and cocktail hour and it was beautiful. For our ceremony we asked for him to sing a specific song for my procession and it was beautiful! The song had a lot of meaning in the lyrics so I was so happy that he did that. We also asked for a slightly different recessional song (Jurassic park theme) and our guests loved it! We also received many compliments of his performance during the cocktail hour. Nick is super friendly and responsive and extremely affordable. I highly recommend him if you are in need of a guitarist!!

We hired Nick to play during our wedding ceremony and we couldn’t be happier with our decision to do so! He was so easy to work with and offered to learn a few specific songs we requested. He also sent us samples ahead of time to confirm everything sounded okay before the big day. We would highly recommend Nick as a professional guitarist to bring beautiful acoustic music to any wedding venue.

Nick played for our ceremony and cocktail
Hour at our wedding and he was seriously incredible. Planning with him was so simple and he made the process so easy. He was very responsive to all of our emails and questions. He has a wide range of music that he plays and will provide you with many suggestions for any songs you may need. We picked the specific music for our ceremony but for cocktail hour just gave him our “vibe”’with some artists and genres that we like and he crushed it! We received so many compliments on his music. Nick is also a very kind person and it was truly a pleasure to work with him! We would highly recommend him!!

My husband and I are so thankful to have found Nick to play at our ceremony and cocktail hour. So many of our guests have commented on his amazing talent and how they really enjoyed listening to him play and sing at our cocktail hour. Nick was willing to learn 2 songs for us for our ceremony, and it made the ceremony extremely special for us. He was so easy to work with before hand as well. You will be lucky to have him play for you!

Nick did the music for our wedding ceremony and during our cocktail hour. He did an amazing job for all of it. He gave us some examples for what other couples had picked as far as processional music which ended up being a huge help because I had no idea what i wanted. Nick is definitely a man of incredible talent and I would definitely recommend him for your wedding!

Nothing but praise for Nick Doak. Music was wonderful and exactly what I asked for. Very professional and I loved that the volume was just right. As for flexibility, the wedding reception was relocated at the last minute due to a fire at the original location. No problem for Nick. I notified him first thing morning of wedding and he was there on time and at the correct venue. No worries and I wouldn't hesitate to use his service again.

Nick is the best! With his experience, he made every step of the process very simple. He was very accomodating. We requested specific songs that he had no problem learning for the wedding. We are so happy we found guitarist, Nick, and violinist, Brian Fitzgerald, for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. They were so responsive and helpful for the whole process. We wanted some modern music for our ceremony, and Nick offered suggestions and advice that ultimately led us to unique songs that we'll associate with our wedding forever. The duo sounded fantastic and was so attentive to the timing of the ceremony. They added such a special touch to our cocktail hour, and all of our guests loved the music. They even able to accommodate song requests on the fly! Definitely reach out if you're considering their guitar/violin combo for your wedding!

We hired Nick for our Fall wedding and he was fantastic! We told Nick we weren't really looking for classical music...we wanted more of an edge and he definitely brought that to the table, playing us a super fun selection of pop music, love songs, and my husband's special request, Star Wars themes. We are a bit nerdy, and we were so glad Nick could accommodate our unique style! We hope to hire him for our family's annual Spring Bash in May. Thanks again Nick for your excellent services!

Nick did a phenomenal job playing during my wedding ceremony. I wish we hired him for the cocktail hour as well! He knew how important the music to us and he did not disappoint. I was able to sneak out of the bridal suite for a second to listen to him play as guests arrived. He created a romantic flow, which was just what we wanted for our small winter wedding. Nick is a true professional you can count on, and an all around great guy.

Nick played guitar for us and our guests during our short outdoor wedding ceremony in May 2017. Nick was professional, accommodating and flexible throughout the whole process but especially with this bride's last minute decision making!! I loved Nick Doak. He was extremely flexible when it came to song selection (the guy can play everything). He was able to accommodate last minute changes. He is such a gentleman and so professional that you will want to introduce him to everyone at the wedding. I would highly recommend Nick Doak.

Nick was absolutely great! We hired him to play classical guitar for our outdoor wedding ceremony. He learned several new songs for a wedding, some that were quite out of the ordinary, and he was extremely professional about everything. He was the only classical guitar player we spoke with that could play in an outdoor ceremony with no temperature or weather restrictions, as long as we could keep his electrical equipment dry. His music was beautiful, and for the service he provides he comes at a really great value. I'd use him again in a heartbeat.

Nick is awesome! He's incredibly talented and is super laid back. I hired Nick to play the guitar and sing for my wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. He played instrumental guitar and led a worship song during the ceremony and played acoustic Italian guitar for the cocktail hour. I was a little nervous because of how few questions he asked and how little he needed from me leading up to the wedding. But he did not disappoint. He delivered exactly what he promised and created the perfect atmosphere for my ceremony and cocktail hour. I even forgot to write him the check to give to him before he left and he kindly reminded me and was so patient and laid back about it all. I highly recommend!

A wonderful guitarist! Nick did our ceremony music for us. We did not want traditional wedding music and Nick was open to all of my suggestions. Needless to say, he made my vision come to life with very little instruction or direction. While planning a wedding with so many details, it was truly a pleasure working with Nick as he is very laid back and communicates efficiently. Not only did we appreciate his communication with us, but I also appreciated his communication with our DJ. They both coordinated who was bringing what so we didn't have 2 sets of equipment. I would highly recommend Nick for any occasion!

It was SUCH a treat to have Nick play at our wedding! He did our ceremony and our cocktail hour and guests raved about his talented performance. I had Nick play at our ceremony and cocktail hour and I cannot even begin to count the number of guests who came up to us raving about him! The live music for the ceremony really made it so much more special! I told him the songs and music style that I wanted in the ceremony and cocktail hour and he made it happen! We hired Nick to play the guitar during our ceremony, just instrumentals without singing. He was great! We sent him a list of songs we wanted for the pre-ceremony, processional, bride's entrance, and recessional, and he either knew or learned them all, even though they were not traditional. The lone guitar played a perfect backdrop as I walked down the aisle. Did not need any help setting up, taking cues, or breaking down. By far the easiest vendor that we worked with!!!

It was such a pleasure working with Nick for our June wedding. He was quick to respond to e-mails and questions throughout the wedding planning process, and we really appreciated how he was open to song suggestions. I heard about Nick through an old friend and reached out to him through his website. He got back to right away and couldn't have been nicer or more flexible. He played guitar during the seating prior to my wedding ceremony (outdoors), which produced a lovely atmosphere. He also accompanied my aunt in singing a special song during my ceremony, which was perfection. He worked it out with her directly ahead of time to rehearse so that I didn't have to stress about it, and everything went off without a hitch. He was extremely helpful in guiding me to choose the song that worked best for me and was also flexible in learning the song and putting in the best key for her. I couldn't recommend him more highly! Very courteous and professional, and all for a great value.

For our wedding, we imagined an upbeat cocktail hour that would be a precursor to a packed dance floor that evening! We immediately knew Nick would be a good choice to play for our family and friends. He was able to incorporate all of our requests as well as his own expertise to create a flawless playlist for the hour! When I decided I wanted live music for my wedding, I asked my daughter to help me find a musician. She thought of Nick immediately. He is a very talented, professional, and entertaining musician who was able to provide the perfect music for my wedding. I had specific songs I wanted and Nick played all of them and more. Nick was the best wedding ceremony and cocktail hour musician I could've hoped for. He was very responsive through the whole process, helping me pick songs of my liking and also providing his suggestions when I needed it. I couldn't fill out a playlist for the whole cocktail hour, so I gave him a few music I liked and he was able to put together the whole set, which was great. He was promptly there with plenty of cushion time before the wedding. He had communicated with the wedding coordinators ahead of time, so the music and everything was right on cue for the ceremony. I recommend him for any wedding or events, 10 out of 10!

Nick was great! He was always very responsive to emails, had a large repertoire of songs and was willing to learn new ones if needed. People told me how wonderful he sounded during the ceremony. I would definitely recommend Nick!

Nick and his quartet were great. They were very flexible and responsive leading up to the day. They sounded great and played all of the songs we requested. Couldn't have been happier with them and we are glad they were a part of our special day.

Nick was a joy to work with. He responded to all the emails I sent . We needed a microphone and he didn't hesitate helping us out. Following the ceremony Nick found us to thank us and also introduce himself. It was a pleasure to meet him.

Nick was great in everything from planning to playing the ceremony on our wedding day. My husband and I knew we wanted guitar for our ceremony, but we didn't know what songs to choose. Nick helped by sending us a list of songs that he has played, he also said that we could suggest any other song that was meaningful to us. We found several songs on his list that we choose from. The ceremony music was beautiful, and we received so many compliments on the song choices and how beautiful it sounded, it really set the mood for a beautiful ceremony. I would highly recommend Nick. He is very talented, was on time, responsive, and very very easy to work with!

Nick's performance at my wedding and reception was a surprise for my bride. She was very impressed and everyone enjoyed Nick's music. Nick was very helpful in determining the music by offering selections for the wedding. He also did a great job of playing and singing the songs that I requested at the reception. Nick is an exceptionally talented musician which is exactly what you would expect. Better yet, he is equally professional. He was very responsive, reasonably priced, and accommodating.

Nick has an extensive list of music he has already mastered (classical, contemporary, classic rock, pop, you name it), but was flexible and dedicated enough to learn 3 new songs in the month or so before our wedding. Our guests were extremely complementary and impressed.

If we threw fancy parties with any sort of regularity, I would rehire him without a second thought. I would recommend him for any and all occasions.

My fiancee and I were nervous about finding the right entertainment for a Sunday brunch wedding reception....luckily we found Nick Doak (after some extensive web surfing). His guitar playing really added a lovely dimension to our ceremony and cocktail hour.

The brunch was awesome! Nick and his partner Vinny had our guests entertained for three hours with a great live performance. The sound quality was really professional but it was still easy to hold a conversation throughout the room. The song selection was very diverse and every table we stopped to visit at commented how great they sounded. They crushed it!

Nick and Vinny were completely courteous and professional throughout the day, and didn't need any direction while transitioning from each part. The day was seamless; at every phase of our celebration the music was ready to establish the right mood without any disruption.

We felt Nick's playing set the perfect tone for our Wedding and his due was the perfect accompaniment to our reception. We highly recommend him and can't wait to see him perform again!

Nick was able to provide the perfect touch my wife and I were looking for in our wedding ceremony. We had many guests tell us how much they loved the music he provided. Nick was great to work with from the start to finish. He met with us in person to review exactly what we wanted for the ceremony. He even learned a specific arrangement of a song that my wife requested and sent us video of himself playing it beforehand so we could confirm it was exactly the way she pictured it. I can't say enough great things about the service Nick provided!

Nick performed at our wedding recently in August 2014 for our ceremony and cocktail hour! He and his bassist were absolutely wonderful. We had asked Nick if he could play the acoustic versions of 4 contemporary pop and indie songs at the ceremony, and he and his bassist played them beautifully! We will never forget our ceremony or the mood that they were able to create. As with most bride and grooms, we weren't able to attend much of cocktail hour, but my guests came up to my after the fact and commented on how much they enjoyed the cocktail music! We were so happy with Nick and would highly recommend him to anyone hosting a special event. Nick was professional, reliable, and very accommodating. He even met us on Skype for our first meeting since we couldn't find time to meet in person! Thank you again!!

I write this review as a music professional/teacher and my advice is to hire this incredibly talented musician. Nick provided the most beautiful guitar music for our daughter's wedding. His extensive repertoire allowed him to play traditional wedding music during the ceremony and switch to contemporary music for the cocktail hour. He sang some of the songs during the cocktail hour and it was amazing! Some of my friends, also music teachers, attended the wedding. They were so impressed with his abilities and asked me, "Where did you find him? He's magnificent!" I could not agree more. If you are looking for a talented guitarist for your event - you have found him! Thank you, Nick, for adding to the beauty of the day!

We found Nick on Wedding Wire and he provided the perfect ambiance to both our ceremony and our cocktail hour. Nick was laid back and very easy to work with. We provided a list of songs for the cocktail hour and he was like a human pandora! Nick performed all music beautifully in an outdoor cafe style setting which is exactly what we wanted for our cocktail hour. Everyone commented on the great music we had!

We hired Nick to play guitar at our wedding ceremony. Nick was a joy to work with. He was professional, responded quickly to questions I had, and was very accommodating. I had some special songs I wanted to play, and Nick found music and learned each song for me. His prices are extremely reasonable, DEFINITELY worth the money!!

Nick did as fabulous job as the guitarist for our August wedding. He listened to exactly what we wanted and helped us figure out music when we needed assistance. Nick's superb talent as a guitarist added just the right touch to my daughter's wedding. He played selections before the wedding ceremony as our guests arrived as well as for the processional/recessional. The music just flowed during the cocktail hour too -- Nick is a real gem!

Nick proved to be an asset throughout our wedding day. He and a flutist played our ceremony, and he dj'd the music between our wedding band sets.

During our outdoor ceremony, Nick and the flutist played as our guests were seated. I wasn't listening at that point, but more than a couple guests noted how well the "lovely music" complemented the feel of the outdoor space. Nick and the flutist were willing to learn new songs for our ceremony (not sure if they knew our songs already or not). My wife processed to "Can't Help Falling in Love" and it sounded great, but I'd be lying if i said I were paying much attention to the music at that point. We didn't have music during our ceremony, but once it was finished, we recessed to "A Beautiful Day," which I was able to pay closer attention to, since I was elated and no longer nervous at that point. Nick and Katie did an awesome job with it, and it really set the tone for the party that was starting! Like I said before, many guests told us what a great job these two did. I'm sure it's harder to make an impact as only two musicians, but it was perfect for our wedding. We were really happy with the guitar/flute combo, and with Nick and Kate, specifically. If we did it again, we would make the same choice!

Nick then served double-duty and dj'd in between our band sets. Again, he did an awesome job. He and the band were in perfect sync, and there was never a lull in the tunes. He played all of the requests we made and mixed in his own selections, which were exactly what we asked for (in our case, lots of current stuff, and very little Motown-y stuff, but I'm sure he could tailor to anything).

Throughout it all, Nick was a great presence--totally upbeat and fun, yet hard-working and professional. My wife and I are really grateful for his hard work and expertise and can't recommend his services more highly.

My wife and I hired Nick to play guitar during our wedding ceremony in New Hope, PA. We were unsure exactly what songs we wanted and every time we changed our mind Nick was very understanding and responsive. We ended up choosing songs to entertain our guests while they waited for the ceremony to start and asked Nick if he wouldn't mind singing as well. He never hesitated to agree to sing for us. While I never got the chance to hear him sing, all of the guests told me afterward that our songs were great and that Nick did a fantastic job. I can tell firsthand that the music he played for the processional and recessional were awesome. I would highly recommend Nick for any wedding or event.

On the greatest day of my life, I couldn't have been happier with having Nick bring his talents and energy to our wonderful wedding reception. This day meant the world to my wife and I and Nick was able to fulfill our dream of having an awesome backyard wedding reception. Nick brings a wealth of ability and a range of music which touched basically anything we really wanted. We appreciated Nick's ability to work with us as our plans were very dynamic with how we wanted the music to flow throughout the gathering. I can’t thank Nick enough for making our day special. On top of his amazing talent, he is super sweet and easy to work with. He was very responsive and extremely flexible when emailing back and forth about the details of our wedding. Although we are a bit biased because Nick is a friend of ours from college, he is incredible at what he does! Even though we have been friends with him for years, he still was very professional and took his role in our wedding very seriously. He met with us to find out what exactly we wanted, and he did such a great job working with our very vague requests.

He played during our ceremony and cocktail hour. For our ceremony, he learned a song that my husband had written for me, and he also learned how to play the Jurassic Park theme song! So many of our guests commented on how talented he is as a musician, and he really is. For our cocktail hour, we asked him to play more upbeat songs, but we weren't sure which ones. We had a few suggestions, but, for the most part, we let him decide what he wanted to play. He put together an awesome playlist! Everyone seemed s happy when we returned from getting our pictures taken, and I am sure part of that is because of the music :) Again, Nick is wonderful to work with, and he is, overall, just a great person.

Nick, we can't thank you enough for helping to make our wedding day so personalized and so special. Thank you for everything that you did! We are so happy we asked you (and that you agreed) to be part of our day!

Nick played during our ceremony and with a friend during our reception. We have received numerous compliments about the music at our wedding. He played classical music during the ceremony and cocktail hour, and then a relaxed mix of music during the reception.

The vibe was perfect for our small intimate wedding. He was very communicative during the planning process and made excellent suggestions when I was and indecisive bride. He was so polite and flexible on the big day, a true pleasure to work with.

I would absolutely recommend Nick for anyone looking for a talented guitarist for their wedding!

We hired Nick to play acoustic guitar before and after our ceremony. Nick was courteous, responsive, professional and excited to play at our wedding. He supplied recommendations for the ceremony music at my request and I was able to take the traditional music and mix it with less traditional music. Nick was more than willing to work with our requests. We booked him two months before the wedding, and he was very courteous considering our hectic schedule and my sometimes slow response time. He was also upfront about costs before the wedding which was very nice.
The day of the wedding is always crazy and you worry if everything is taken care of and did all your vendors show up. Nick was very professional, showed up at the time he said he would be there, played beautifully before and after the ceremony and even came up and quickly said goodbye and thanked us after the ceremony. We were really happy with his service and highly recommend him!

Vinny and Nick were outstanding entertainers for our wedding. Very friendly, accomodating, flexible, professional....and VERY Talented! I would heartily recommend them for anyone interested in musical entertainment for their functions.

Nick played for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. Nick is a great guitarist and was perfect for a small, quiet, outdoor wedding. He was very responsive and flexible to our song requests for the ceremony and he pick good, appropriate music for the cocktail hour. He was quick to respond to email and phone calls and offered good suggestions. I would totally recommend him to anyone wgose looking for a guitarist for a wedding!

Nick was great! We met with him before hiring him to talk d through what we wanted (and what we didn't want) and he was very open to learning any songs necessary. But we didn't need him to, as he already has a great repertoire of classic rock and modern acoustics (as well as all of the classical standards) that set the perfect mood for the ceremony. On the day of he was on-time, professional, and did a great job! Highly recommended!

Nick performed our pre-ceremony and ceremony music. It was fantastic. As a bride, you do not want to worry about details the day of. Nick was extra prepared and kept in great contact with me prior to our big day. He arrived extra early to set up and carried himself with the greatest deal of professionalism throughout the night.

For the pre-ceremony he did classical guitar renditions of our favorite Beatles songs. My only complaint is that I was hidden away from the crowd and was unable to enjoy the music for myself. My guests raved about how nice it was to have some light and familiar tunes prior to the start of the ceremony.

Nick also did the music for our processional, for my walk down the issue, and for the recessional. The songs we picked were not traditional and not easy, but Nick did not skip a beat.

We were so happy to have had Nick’s music incorporated into our wedding day. It was not a DJ pushing the play button as I walked down the isle, it was beautiful music played with passion and everyone could feel it. :)

Nick overall was a pleasure to work with and we would highly recommend him. The quality of the service and his flexibility were greatly appreciated. His performance added the perfect celebratory quality to our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour and we can not thank him enough for rolling with the unexpected twists of the evening and adjusting location for our first dance.

Nick did a great job at our wedding ceremony. He understood the kind of music we liked and really helped set the mood for us. He even learned a traditional jewish celebration song that was important to us!

Nick did a beautiful job as our ceremony musician! He provided feedback on our requested music (Beatles and Paul McCartney, although he does classical music as well) - and learned the songs quickly. He even sent recordings prior to the wedding for us to hear! We only had him for a short time but we were very impressed and would definitely recommend him to our friends.

Great & Versatile Ceremony Musician!

Nick was fantastic for our wedding ceremony! He performed every song we requested perfectly and also provided all of the audio equipment. Live music was the best choice for our wedding, and Nick definitely stepped it up for our special day!
