Danced All Night to the Best Song Ever
Shiran and Nicholson Events helped us throw an incredibly memorable, fun and high energy bat mitzvah for our daughter at The Knowlton. The dance floor was packed the entire night, the furnishings and the space looked amazing, the video wall was spectacular and the high-tech lighting brought it all together! Top notch!

Best dj ever
We booked Shiran for our 2022 New Year's Eve wedding and he was an absolute HIT!! I had SO many guests come up to us to tell us he was the best wedding DJ and DJ in general they've ever heard, and my husband and I couldn't agree more. Our friends and family also told us they've never seen so many guests hit the dance floor and go for hours like they did at our wedding, and that 100% has to do with Shiran. He kept the party going and his energy is amazing, he even had an outfit change after midnight which was stellar and totally unexpected. Shiran pays total attention to detail with the music we like and we adored his ability to remix two songs to make them into one cohesive banger. If this blurry photo of my husband and I in front of Shiran and his DJ booth (taken by a friend at midnight at our wedding) doesn't say it, then let me be the one to tell you that he is more than worth every penny. Excellent Experience!
DJ Shiran worked with us very closely to curate an evening that really reflected us as a couple. We were looking to include a lot of international music from our cultural background and DJ Shiran really delivered!! He was such a pleasure to work with leading up to our wedding and helped us bring so much energy to our wedding. Superb DJ and a joy to work with
Shiran was a huge hit at our son’s Bar Mitzvah. He brought fun, warmth and a seamless mix of great music that blended our requests with perfect choices of his own. The dance floor was full the entire night. Beyond his DJ skills, Shiran was great to work with and his crew was super nice and energetic; we were extremely happy with the lighting and photo booth. He took pains to understand our taste and communicated throughout the evening to make sure that everyone had a good time. He is genuinely engaged, professional and has a sense of humor – I'm sure that he is amazing at weddings, and we couldn’t recommend him more.Shiran was a huge hit at our son’s Bar Mitzvah. Best DJ you’ll ever find!
Shiran and his team at Nicholson Events are incredible. My husband and I knew we wanted a DJ from the minute we got engaged — the question was, “How do we find someone with the right vibe?” We knew from the minute we met Shiran (virtually!) that he was going to be amazing. All of our guests of all generations had a blast, and people are STILL talking about how much fun they had on the dance floor! Shiran’s team also did the lights and the photo booth, which was so sleek, easy and fun to use. People loved it. It was professionalism from start to finish with Shiran’s team — I will never use another company again when I need something like this. Shiran is amazing and his team is stellar. Incredible. The only DJ you should use!!!
Shiran DJ’d at my wedding on November 11, 2018. When I first saw Shiran DJ at a wedding expo, I was absolutely blown away! His music is perfect and he really knows how to get the party started! For my wedding, he was so easy to connect with and responded within minutes to any questions or concerns that I had. He listened to all of my music requests and followed directions so easily. We also got the electric violin- HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Our guests are still raving about the great music and the electric violin. Shiran is the ONLY DJ you should use for your next event!Shiran DJ’d at my wedding on November 11, 2018. When I first saw Shiran DJ at a wedding expo, I was absolutely blown away! Shiran was the best decision we made for our wedding. He was SO easy to communicate with leading up to our day (even from abroad) and he helped us plan and revise our entire schedule. He got everyone on the dance floor - even my 80 year old grandparents. Shiran was so hands on and checked in with me throughout the night to make sure everything was going okay. He played the crowed and mixed in our requests.. We really can't recommend him highly enough!!

I cannot day enough good things about DJ Shiran. After our initial DJ was not able to attend last minute, DJ Shiran saved the day by quickly drove from CT to NYC to DJ for the night. Every of my guests were so enjoyed the music at the wedding. Shiran is not only a great DJ, who’s also professionalI cannot day enough good things about DJ Shiran. We hired Nicholson Events for our wedding at the Loeb Boathouse in Central park several weeks ago. We hired them for lighting the event, we rented their photo booth and associated services - it's open air and very classy - and providing sound for a jazz quintet that we hired for cocktail hour. These guys kick ass! They made the event pop. My wife has eye for design and is particular and amazing in every way. I have a video production company, and I throw lots of partiees. Lighting is important to meThus, we're fairly critical and have high expectations. Nicholson exceeded our expectations. Shiran and his team was excellent in terms of customer service, equipment and execution. Their pricing is reasonable. I rarely give reviews, but I felt it necessary in this instance because Nicholson Events is very good at what they do. If you're considering hiring them, and you have any specific questions or concerns, feel free to reach out. Shiran is absolutely amazing. He came highly recommended for my wedding and he absolutely delivered. I had a SInatra-inspired singer for 2 hours of the night and wanted Shiran and him to work together, and Shiran took the lead in organizing and spear-heading that effort. He also met with my husband and I numerous times to discuss our guests, music preferences and the general feel we wanted for an old-NY inspired wedding. We sent him at least 6 different revised playlists, with an absurd amount of songs on them, and he was expert in reviewing those and findings the best songs for the moment, fading them in and out depending on the guests, and working the crowd!
I received countless compliments on how great my wedding was and, specifically, on how amazing the music was. There was barely a minute that went by when people were not on the dance floor, which was exactly what I wanted. In addition, Shiran is completely down to earth. He hung out with us as the wedding was winding down, told us how beautiful the day was and how happy he was to be a part of it, and that was just truly sweet and wonderful to hear. Music and the event flow were a huge priority for our wedding. I had worked with Shiran professionally before through corporate events so I had some exposure to his style prior. Shiran has a great sense for what to play for various audiences. He is professional through and through. He was easy to get in touch with and he had me fill out the wedding details sheet which has a page for preferred songs. I gave an extensive list of songs, indicated preferred timing throughout the night to ensure the oldies were played in the first half, told him we wanted to keep it moving so only to play 3/4ths of each song, and indicated the bands and songs we wanted played while people were getting seated, mingling or otherwise just not dance songs - the in between dance songs.
Shiran took our notes to heart and we had the time of our lives. We were literally on the dance floor for our entire wedding post speeches. Countless people told me how much they loved the music, loved the dj, wanted the playlist, even our venue contact complimented the song choices. I couldn't have been happier with the flow of the night and the amount of dancing. Shiran was able to keep the crowd as energized and our final song had every single person on the dance floor.
