I have family and bridesmaids out of town so I had three fittings there before purchasing my dress. All the ladies that worked there was so kind and caring to my thoughts and opinions on the dresses I tried on. They refused to stop until I found a dress in my budget that made me feel absolutely beautiful. Once I found the dress I cried each time I put it on and so did the reps. The store was clean, dresses were gorgeous and women nice -

I visited the store the first time and i found my dream dress, but i wanted to make sure that was the one, so i visited 3 other stores..Needless to say i returned to NYBG because their service, the quality of the dresses, and the prices were much better than the other places i went. I love my dress and i thank NYBG for their help and patience in making my wedding dress shopping experience memorable!! -

Hands down, New York Bride & Groom net and surpassed all my expectations for dress shopping. I went in feeling nervous because I had never looked at dresses before and I didn’t know what to expect from a non-appointment environment. My nerves were quickly relieved when I realized how laid back and welcoming all the consultants were. They gave us time and space to browse around and look at dresses ourselves while they pulled styles I came in knowing I wanted to try on. The consultant we worked with was patient and kind and complimentary-she was a dream! I tried on probably 8-10 different dresses and never felt like I was taking too long or needed to hurry up. In fact, I tried on the dress I ultimately said yes to three times!
The other groups that were there, shopped and tried on dresses without anyone feeling like they were in each other’s way and even helped give some feedback on each other’s choices!
I would recommend this bridal shop to anyone searching for your perfect dress! I had such an amazing experience and felt totally confident saying yes to the dress! I live out of town and love the comfort of knowing they will store my dress and complete alterations on site so I don’t have to worry about unnecessary transportation before my wedding day. Definitely spend an afternoon shopping here-you won’t regret it! -

A girl I work with that recently got married suggested I look for my dress here. This was the only place I had to go to find my dream dress! It was such a wonderful experience and everyone was so kind and helpful! They have a great variety of dresses to choose from! -

I found my dress here over a year ago and had a wonderful experience. The shop is set up with rows of beautiful dresses and several large dressing rooms that easily fit yourself and friends or family you bring. We were able to choose several dresses at a time to bring to the room and try on. During our visit, the staff were very accommodating and helpful in decisions. They also had dresses that fit several different budgets! After ordering my dress, I also received my alterations at the shop. Although the alterations were pricey, my dress turned out beautiful and it was well worth it. -

After trying five other stores, I said yes to the dress 👰🏻at this store! Not only did they have the best selection of dresses I had seen, they have nice fitting rooms and a nice atmosphere that makes the experience even more special❤️. You will get an enormous fitting room with a nice couch! (Unlike a lot of stores) Not to mention, they have great prices 👍🏼 that are realistic.New York Bride & Groom of Columbia's reply:

This is a long story, but I believe it should be told, and if you are considering this shop as an option I believe you should read until the end. It talks about bridesmaid dresses (which they don't sell anymore), but the same thing could happen with a wedding dress so please keep reading. I had my bridal party purchase their bridesmaids dresses from New York Bride and Groom of Columbia. The 6 of them, plus me (the bride), went in together to get measured and to try on styles. They were absolutely fantastic that day! They let us try on different styles, have our own little section of the store, they measured us and wrote the recommended sizes down on a piece of paper, which they all had to initial before we left. None of us thought to take a picture of that paper or remember what size they wrote down, because they were professionals and they were taking care of it. Once the dresses came in one of my bridesmaids went to try on her dress and it was no where near close to fitting. So in a panic she went straight to an alterations shop while I called New York Bride to see what our options were. They told her to go straight to them so they could see what was going on! So she left her spot in line at the alterations shop to drive to them, just for them to say "Yea it doesn't fit." (Did they think we didn't know how to put on a dress? Is it even possible to do that wrong?) They said her only option was to order $70 of fabric and get a corset put in the back and pay $100 of alterations to get it fixed (more than the dress itself costs). Then we had to convince them to even do the alterations in house because they had stopped selling bridesmaids dresses between when we ordered them and when they arrived. So I reach out to my other bridesmaid (the one that was measured at the same time and was determined to be the same size as the one who's dress does not fit) and she said she received a size 12. We look at the dress in our hands and it is a size 8!!!!! So i call new york and ask them to read the sizes of each bridesmaid to me and off the computer it said we had 3 8's, 1 12, and 2 16's. This made no sense to me because the other bridesmaids who ordered an 8 have a B cup breast size!!! The one with trouble fitting into the dress has a Triple D cup breast size!! There is no way they would all fit into the same dress! So I ask the lady on the phone to read me the sizes on the original paper!!! And it did in fact say that she was a size 12, which is what she initialed next to!!!!!!! But, they accused her of calling up later and changing the size and "thinking she could fit into something smaller" Which there are zero phone records for. After lots of back and forth she still had to pay $75 dollars extra on alterations that were not her fault in the first place. The entire staff decided to band together. The initial girl that measured her was there and they asked her if she measured her at a size 12, and she said no it was an 8. First of all, she should be fired for poor measuring skills if she measured someone with a triple D as the same size as someone as a B and completely different body types. They refused to show us the original paper. I have never experienced this horrible of customer service. This was stressful being bridesmaids dresses, but I cannot imagine what this experience would have been like if this happened to someone's actual wedding dress. I highly recommend you take the time to drive to the Charlotte location. That is where I found my wedding dress and the people there are absolutely amazing. Do not even risk going to the Columbia location. It is not worth the stress!!!! -
