Worth every penny

Stephen did an incredible job as MC/DJ for our wedding day! Start to finish communication was timely and clear, he paid attention to details that mattered to us and even thought of many things we did not. It is obvious he has been doing this for some time and that experience has taught him how to ROCK a wedding ceremony and reception! Very professional and such a fun personality to have behind the microphone. When we had many guests resistant to hitting the dance floor, Stephen was so committed to making the party happen that HE got out on the dance floor and taught some of us a few dance moves! He was also super available during the event to help make announcements to shuffle guests around for the many events we had planned (ceremony, photo shoot, mini games, toasts, dancing, cake cutting, garter removal, etc). I have a few regrets about some of my vendors, but hiring stephen is NOT one of them. Brides, do yourself a favor and hire DJ New Hope and save yourself ANY stress about your wedding ceremony being handled professionally and smoothly, and knowing that your reception vibes are in good hands!

Miss Perry County Competition

Stephen was absolutely outstanding as our sound technician for the Miss Perry County Scholarship Competition. He was incredibly professional, and his extensive production knowledge was invaluable in choreographing both our opening number and the contestants’ talent performances. Sound is such a critical element of a Miss America local preliminary, and Stephen is the reason our competition runs smoothly from beginning to end. I cannot recommend him highly enough for any event requiring a skilled and reliable sound professional.

Stephen was awesome and so easy to work with! He went above and beyond to make our wedding day so special! We had a few special requests and he made sure they happened. You know a DJ can make or break an event

Stephen made the event absolutely amazing 👏. The dance floor was packed the whole entire time. He was very flexible when we had to pivot and do the ceremony in a different spot and was happy to bring his wireless set up to accommodate. Then when we brought out the TV and asked if we could do some kareoke he got everything connected and even sang a song for us. I can't recommend Stephen enough. You definitely will not be disappointed.

Best DJ ever!!

Stephen is amazing. We had to move our venue from the place I had originally told him and he was very understanding. He was great at mixing the playlist I had made and helped get everyone started on the dance floor. He kept the flow of the reception going very well and I appreciated that sooooo much. Such a nice guy in general. 10/10 recommend 😄

Working with New Hope Entertainment was a smooth process with a very dependable DJ!

Stephen with New Hope Entertainment was awesome to work with. He was very responsive, personable, and he took the time to ensure all of the music and flow of events on our big day were exactly what we wanted. I changed a couple of things last minute the day of our wedding, and Stephen was flexible, fun, and had a great attitude the whole time. My music desires were very specific, and he worked with my wedding coordinator to make sure the details were perfect. Would highly recommend!

Top-notch in every aspect!

My husband and I couldn’t have asked for a better DJ and officiant for our wedding! We had countless compliments on the vows at the ceremony (written by Stephen) and how personal it was even having only met him twice! The playlists were spot on and his set up was perfect. The lights on the dance floor were perfect and the sound was great. I cannot recommend him enough!

Stephen created a tailored wedding ceremony that was unique and special to our relationship and personalities!! We also had originally hired another DJ, but this fell through less than a month before the wedding. Stephen stepped in and did an incredible job!! We cannot say that you enough!!

Absolutely incredible!

Steven was a lifesaver for us. Our original DJ accidentally double booked and Steven took us as a last minute booking and did an amazing job! Not only was he professional, kind and understanding but also did an amazing job. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ for any type of party. Excellent Experience, Great Service

We attended a wedding Stephen DJed, and they had a very particular playlist and unique location. He accommodated both well. We then had to postpone our wedding reception due to Covid, and Stephen was flexible and communicative. He was so easy to work with on scheduling and determining playlists. He goes out of the way to make the event exactly what the bride/groom want. I highly recommend him.

Let's face it - working with wedding vendors can be stressful. SO not the case with New Hope/Stephen. We "met" over the phone and reviewed some key points, but to say that he adapted to the party environment and kept everything going is an understatement. Would definitely use again (and again).

Fantastic! Will never use anyone else!

Perfect from start to finish! Wedding venue was at the lake and he provided music for the wedding and then moved to tents for the reception! We were able to select special music for both and he provided guidance when needed. We had a mixed age crowd but he had everyone out on the dance floor. Highly recommend! Thank you Stephen for helping make my daughter's wedding perfect!

Great experience

Stephen was very professional and very accommodating. He informed us of everything Before hand so we knew exactly what to expect. He came to our house for our sons graduation party and he made his party a great success. He even went out there and showed the kids how to line dance to a song they didn’t know. The kids went up to him several times to get him to play a song, and he went out of his way to make sure he found the right song, no matter how silly.

Stephen also had great strobe lights that added to the ambience. I would definitely recommend him to anyone that is looking for a great DJ for a party.

Incredible experience!

Stephen was awesome to work with! He met with us twice to iron out all the details, and was so helpful with suggestions. At the wedding, he did such a great job of moving from song to song in the ceremony and at the reception. And he had all of the equipment, including speakers and a microphone for the pastor. Stephen was very professional and was so great to work with. I highly recommend him!

Exactly what we needed!

We had a very stressful set up before our wedding, and our music/Stephen was the one thing we didn't have to worry about. He was extremely easy to talk to and had everything in order from the first meeting with him to the day of. We also had a few last minute changes that he easily handled for us without making us feel like a burden. Most importantly, we gave him total control of the music with just a few genre preferences and he absolutely nailed it! He was able to read the room and play music that kept the guests dancing and having a good time the entire night. We absolutely recommend working with him.

He also got the party started when the guest were to shy to dance during the ceremony. Once he started dancing they joined in and had a blast! He was a true pleasure to work with! Book him. New Hope Entertainment did such a great job DJ'ing my wedding! Stephen was very attentive to our needs and responsive to our questions before the big day. His thorough approach gave me confidence that he was going to do a great job. He provided the music for the service and hit every cue perfectly. I knew i wanted a DJ and not a live band. I didn’t want to spend too much money, but I wanted great quality! Thats exactly what I got with this guy! He is professional and personable. We were not the easiest couple for a DJ; we don't like most top 40 music or any of the typical songs played at weddings. Stephen did a wonderful job finding music that we liked. I am a southern girl who married a Cuban family. Stephen found a great mix of the oldies and Spanish music me and my husband love. He was also incredibly affordable. Stephen was so easy to work with, he was quick to respond to any questions and listened to what we wanted. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a wedding DJ and MC.

I got married on October 4, 2014. Stephen was recommended to me by a friend. He was easy to reach and replied quickly! For our first meeting, he was prepared with material and answer all questions. He was awesome! (And he was on time :))He kept in touch in the next few months making sure I didn't need anything. A month before the wedding, we met again to finalize our decisions. He was laid back and pretty flexible with everything. The day of the wedding, he was amazing. The day was cold and windy, but he just took direction when needed and worked around the change of plans. He's a great guy! I would recommend him to any event or bride.

It rained on our wedding day and we ended up having to make some huge adjustments since it was outdoors. New Hope just stepped right in and helped us every minute! They were also the cheapest DJ I found while I was looking.

Steven was very professional to work with. He provided a checklist, allowing us to choose songs, provided recommendations on songs and order of events. Stephen is very professional, and without that brashness of many of the DJs I spoke with.

This is technically Stephen’s review, but you have to know if you are looking for a DJ and Photographer these two are the total package. New Hope Entertainment and Dear Lauren Photography were the best package deal out there. Trust me I looked everywhere, and talked to everyone! Stephen was absolutely great!!! Great selection of music, which kept the crowd going at the Zeta Psi Chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity at MTSU Open Mic Night. He was prompt and on time with professionalism, which is hard to find in this industry now days. I first found Stephen through a friend's wedding, and admired how well he kept to the couple's musical personalities and flow of the reception. When my first DJ fell through, Stephen was my first choice for a replacement. He was instant with responses, cooperative, and overall a joy to work with. Stephen is a phenomenal DJ. He responded quickly when we had questions and has a talent for creating a fun, musical atmosphere. Not only did we see him do a top notch job being the DJ at our friend's wedding recently, but when we chose Stephen for our own wedding, people said afterward that the best part of our wedding was the music and dancing. Stephen was great! He was easy to work with and played to our musical tastes. The music transitioned beautifully throughout the reception. While everyone was eating he played some good jazz music. In the middle of the night he played some good soul/motown (my favorite), which everyone got up and danced to. Then later when most everyone was gone and it was just some family and friends left and everyone had had a few drinks he played some fun Top 40 stuff. He's very thoughtful about the playlist and will listen to your likes and dislikes. Thanks for being a part of our special day!!

We got married on April 28 2012. With all the excitement and frustration of finishing the details of a wedding we had over looked one of the most important things "MUSIC". Only two days before the wedding and we weren't ready. Little did I know that Stephen Belk would be able to cover all of our bases. He simply need 2 songs and the rest was taken care of. On the day of the wedding Stephen had all of his equipment ready to go, sound check complete and song list ready. During the reception all of the guest had a Blast, Stephen was very professional and even introduced us as we entered! The song list was amazing and all of our guest enjoyed the contemporary selection. My wedding planner even complemented him on his services. Our wedding was a bit chaotic because it was supposed to be an outdoor wedding & it rained. Stephen was at the event early and was very flexible with the last minute changes to schedule that were caused due to the weather. He was professional, organized, and was on the ball with all our meetings leading up to the wedding. He was a great DJ and very much so worth the money!

He was very flexible and easy to work with leading up to our wedding day. Super nice and quickly responded to any calls or emails. Some of the music that we asked to have played at the reception did not get played and other random songs were played instead. It wasn't terrible but we would have liked to had more of our requested songs played. Overall though it all turned out well!
