Comforting Officiant
Shelly was exactly who we were looking for to officiate our wedding. My husband and I are not ones to share our feelings in front of others so the idea of standing in front of a crowd sharing our love for each other was daunting. Shelly made us feel comfortable and respected our requests for variations in the ceremony. Shelly got glowing reviews from our guests who mentioned how well she spoke and how she really knew her part and did it well. Shelly even offers dog care for the day of, an opportunity that we didn't use but loved having the option as our dog was in the ceremony. Shelly will walk your dog before/after the ceremony and even offers dog care from her home or will drop your dog off at a requested location. If you choose Shelly for your wedding, you won't regret it. I am so thankful we met her at a wedding expo. From the moment I walked up to her I felt a sense of comfort, and I knew from that moment she was going to be our officiant.

My husband and I planned our elopement a few weeks before the date that we chose. We weren't sure if we were going to be able to find the right Justice of the Peace in time. Then we came across Shelly. She got back to us so quickly and she was so wonderful to work with. We were planning a more casual, small, and intimate ceremony. With this, we also wanted the day to feel sentimental and special. Shelly knew exactly what were were looking for. She sent a draft of the ceremony in advance of our elopement date and it was so easy to work with Shelly, she touched on everything we had asked for! We were expecting our first baby at the time, she was able to include a statement about this in our ceremony and that meant so much to us. Our family was so impressed by Shelly and they all felt like our ceremony was a perfect reflection of our relationship and just such a special day. Thank you Shelly!

Shelly is the PERFECT Justice of the Peace
Shelly is an amazing JP. I have watched her as a member of a friend's wedding party, I have watched her as a witness to an elopement ceremony, and I have worked with her when she officiated my wedding. You're not going to find a sweeter person to work with. Because I have to have my hand in the cookie jar, I wrote my a script outline for my ceremony and asked Shelly to improve it. I am glad she did, for her wording was much better and she added very personal details that I overlooked. I heard several laughs and acknowledgments from guests during the ceremony, so I can assure you Shelly nailed it perfectly. I couldn't have asked for a better JP, and I will forever recommend her to anyone looking for a JP.

Shelly officiated my wedding yesterday. I was hesitant at first to have someone I didn’t know officiate my wedding but I am so glad I did!! I chose her love story package. She asks detailed questions to get to know you and then writes up the most amazing heartfelt ceremony as if she’s knows you for years! Shelly officiated our June 2024 wedding at Zorvino Vineyards and we couldn’t be happier! We chose the Love Story package and it made our ceremony so personal and special. Multiple people came up to us after the ceremony and asked how we knew Shelly - they were shocked to hear that we didn’t know Shelly personally prior to officiating our wedding because of how personal the ceremony felt. We also incorporated a reader and a unity candle ceremony and Shelly did a beautiful job weaving everything in. She thinks of every detail - like asking what the wedding party is wearing so she can plan her outfit accordingly, or moving to the side during the first kiss. Shelly was so kind and professional. I couldn't be happier with choosing Shelly to be our JOP for our wedding ceremony. She is kind, attentive, and so easy to work with. With only one call and a few e-mails, Shelly was able to draft up a reading and vows that fit us perfectly without sounding generic. Thank you so much, Shelly! Kait and I are huge nerds, and Shelly managed to tell a love story about us that was both elegant and fantastical at the same time. People...she quoted Tolkien for us! She's extremely charismatic and provides you with a draft copy of her story way in advance. Kait and I didn't need to change a thing about it! After researching officiant options, we made the decision to select Shelly. We could not have been happier. Being our second marriage we were stumped on how to approach the small ceremony with our children that would not replicate the traditional vows. We talked through zoom with Shelly for maybe a half hour. Each of us telling her our story of how we met and how we feel about each other. Shelly proposed the most beautiful script for our ceremony. So fitting for our story. Our day was so special to us and Shelly played such a significant role.

We found Shelly through a referral and we are so glad she was a part of our special day! She was extremely accommodating and so nice when we had to postpone our wedding from last year. She truly captured what we wanted for our ceremony. Our guests were so impressed by the story she had put together for us. Some guests said it was one of the best ceremonies they had ever attended! Amazing doesn't begin to discribe
Shelly was amazing in every sense of the word. She met with us prior to our original wedding date that had to be postponed due to COVID and worked with us every step on get things rescheduled. On the day of Shelly showed up early to talk with us and The ceremony itself was made more wonderful by her beautiful words. I can not thank Shelly enough for how beautiful she made our ceremony. What she wrote was so beautiful and is something I will treasure always. Shelly is so down to earth, understanding, and really listens to what you want for a ceremony. From the very beginning she made us feel comfortable, and you could tell she really got a sense of who we are as a couple in a short amount of time. I love how she personalizes the ceremony to responses you give her from a questionnaire so the ceremony isn’t generic and can be applied to anyone. Shelly was absolutely phenomenal! When we found out our friend (who was supposed to be the JP for our wedding) was going away for training, we were on the hunt to find a replacement. Shelly exceeded our expectations! Our original wedding was 4/24/2020, but thanks to COVID, we had to postpone (first on 7/10/2020 and then 4/23/2021). Shelly was beyond accommodating for each postponement we were forced to make. She was in constant communication with us throughout our entire planning process. Shelly made sure our ceremony was written exactly how we wanted it and was always willing to make changes if necessary. Words can't even begin to describe how truly awesome Shelly is. I highly recommend Shelly! You will NOT be disappointed!

Remote private ceremony
We wanted to get married on a hiking trail covered in snow, when the weather predicted -10° windchill and only a weeks notice. Shelly was happy to go along with our plan and even helped to surprise family who were not expecting a wedding. Shelly was an absolute pleasure to work with! I recently had a small ceremony in my backyard due to the Coronavirus. I wasn't able to meet with Shelly in person, but it didn't even matter because she created the most beautiful vows after we filled out a few brief questions. We didn't even have a rehearsal! You want Shelly to Officiate your Wedding!
After seeing Shelly beautifully and articulately officiate a dear friend's wedding, she was the first (and only) officiant we reached out to when planning our wedding. Luckily for us, she was available on our day. Throughout the process she caringly got to know us via a phone interview, email and her well thought through couples questionnaire before writing a custom ceremony just for us. She allowed us to read through what she'd wrote and would have incorporated any edits or suggestions we had. The draft she sent via email was quite nearly perfect and we were both in tears reading it on our phones. Having attended, photographed and filmed dozens of weddings, I've come to realize the officiant is one of the most important pieces of the wedding puzzle. Ceremonies are all too often stymied by an unsure officiant tripping over their words. This wasn't a worry of ours with Shelly on our team. All you have to do is get your marriage license and she takes care of the rest!

Shelly was immediately available to take our call and was able to perform her serviced on short notice. She was here promptly at the time we requested and met with my family prior to the service. She spent months communicating back and forth with me and my husband to make sure we got the ceremony of our dreams. She included all of the ceremony pieces that we wanted and wrote some parts that we didn't even know we wanted until we heard them!

Very pleasant and professional Wedding Officiant
Shelly responded to our inquiry the next day, have a detailed conversation about what we think we want. Professionally provided suggestions and shared some of her experience on others' wedding plan. Once we decided to use Shelly, she sent us a draft procedure and vows to review and agreed upon. We kept in touch until the wedding day, reminding us all the proper document required. She arrived early on the wedding day, dressed very nice and professional, performed the ceremony flawlessly. Me & my wife are very pleased with Shelly to be our officiant and will be in our memory forever. Her fees are very reasonable and I will definitely recommend her to my friends and families if there is an opportunity.

St Patrick’s Day Wedding
Shelly was extremely kind, prompt, and professional for our St. Patrick’s Day wedding. Leading up to the day, she was always willing to answer any and all questions that we had about our big day. She gave us the run down of what to expect and that eased our nerves. The day of, she was there on time, wore an awesome green dress, and conversed with our families. She found beautiful Irish blessings and was just all around amazing and flexible!

We were beginning to lose hope that we would find not only an officiant to perform our marriage ceremony but someone who would make such an important day feel special.
Shelly not only took the time to get to know us, she guided us in such a way that helped us remember why this day was so important and all the reasons why we wanted to share our lives together.
