  Excellent Photographer

  Neva helped capture both our engagement photos and wedding photos, and we couldn't be happier with the result! Starting with the engagement shoot, Neva was very easy to communicate with, and the day of she had tons of ideas of where best to shoot, while still listening to our preferences. She went above and beyond, spending longer than we initially had planned on the shoot, and sending us preview photos with a really short turnaround. She was very quick and responsive via email with answers to any questions and she gave us detailed, helpful responses. For the wedding itself, Neva was very involved in giving suggestions as to the day of timeline, providing detailed estimates of how long each type of shoot we were looking for would take, and working closely with us to make sure we could capture all of the moments we had hoped for. On the actual wedding day, Neva was phenomenal, helping guide us around to the different areas for our photos, and herding the large groups of family and friend around for their respective shoots. With expert advice on when to take each type of photo, we were able to capture the moments we wanted while still being present and enjoying the wedding itself. Again, Neva went above and beyond and stayed longer than she was supposed to, and getting us the sneak peaks within a few days so we could enjoy her amazing work. We couldn't be any more satisfied with Neva's work throughout the entire wedding process! A huge plus is that she's also such a friendly, caring person to be around who makes you feel comfortable. Thank you for everything, Neva!

  Perfectly Lasting Memories!

  Neva was absolutely everything we wanted and more! With COVID, schedule changes, etc, she was incredibly flexible, easy to work with, and honest about aligning her services with our needs. She was able to capture all the right moments of our special day and made sure that we have lasting memories. Neva captured great intimate moments, awesome party filled moments, and all the other little details that we weren’t able to see for ourselves. Her turnaround was amazingly quick too! We would absolutely recommend her, and hope to be able to have the opportunity to use her for future celebrations!

  Neva is amazing!

  One of the best decisions that we made for our wedding was choosing Neva as our photographer! Immediately after our initial zoom meeting with Neva, we knew that we wanted her to capture our special day because of her warm and bubbly personality. Throughout the whole wedding planning process, Neva was extremely responsive and helpful. On the wedding day, Neva was truly our hype-woman and made us feel SO comfortable in front of the camera. My husband and I are never great at taking pictures and she made us actually enjoy being in front of the camera! Neva was extremely organized and was able to get amazing pictures in a timely manner so that we were able to spend more time with our family and friends. I am still shocked by how quick Neva's turnaround was. She sent us a few pictures during the reception and several sneak peeks the following day. Within two weeks we had our full gallery!! We could not be happier with how the pictures turned out and we will forever recommend Neva!

  amazing experience with Neva!

  We are so glad that we chose Neva to be our wedding photographer. She made the whole process so easy with her thoughtful and helpful direction for both our engagement and wedding shoots. Neva made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera and kept us laughing the whole way! She puts so much thought in capturing all the special moments and details and the photos themselves are absolutely stunning. As a bonus she is very timely. For both shoots, we received sneak peaks the day after and the full gallery around 2 weeks later. I highly recommend her for anyone looking for a wedding photographer.

  The Best Photographer in the DMV!

  Neva Sullivan was THE most fantastic wedding photographer for our special day! Throughout our engagement and leading up to our wedding day Neva was attentive, knowledgeable, professional, charismatic, creative, stylish, and we could not have asked for a better photographer! She has such a warm personality, a great vision for photographs, and made our wedding that much more special! We cannot wait to refer her to our friends whenever we get the chance.   Neva was the best!

  We LOVED working with Neva! From start to finish Neva has been such an incredible photographer (and also now friend). Not only are her photos and editing stunning - but she made me feel comfortable being the center of attention. Her communication and direction during the wedding helped us use our time effectively, and also prioritize photos that we wanted to take with our family and friends. With her direction we were able to capture photos and then actually *enjoy* time during our wedding and cocktail hour with family and friends.
  
  Outside of the photos itself - the other thing we adored about Neva is her accessibility and communication with us throughout this process. She was super responsive, clear, warm and helpful. As an admittedly type A person, it was amazing to have a photographer who values good communication and made us feel so special. WIthin HOURS of our wedding she had a sneak preview in our inboxes - which was also so great to have prior to the full gallery. And we were wow'ed by the preview - we cannot wait to see them all!

  If I Could Give Neva a Galaxy of Stars, I Would!

  We are so beyond thankful to have worked with Neva for our elopement photography! Best vendor we worked with by far!! From start to finish, she was thoughtful, easy to work with, and invested in our experience. When the morning of our elopement came, Neva made the entire process an absolute joy. Both Will and I are fairly introverted, but Neva brought out the best in both of us and made us feel completely at ease in front of the camera. We were blown away!
  Though we didn’t have any family with us for the wedding, Neva gave us the gift of being able to share our day with loved ones – through sharing her talent. She is an incredible photographer (both film and digital!!), a beautiful soul, and an absolute pro. The photos she captured the morning of our elopement are GORGEOUS.
  We’d work with Neva again in a heartbeat – truly can’t recommend her enough.

  11/10 starts!

  Over the last year, Neva has been so amazing from our engagement photos through our wedding day. My husband does not like having pictures taken, but Neva made us both so comfortable and he even laughed during all of the photos! She will be your #1 hype-woman throughout your day and make you feel so special! In the words of my now husband “We literally couldn’t have had a better photographer, her attitude makes her the best!” She is so enthusiastic and will help you to create stunning images without feeling over-posed. She also feels like a friend from the beginning. We will be using her to capture all of our special moments forever!! 10/10 recommend Neva!

  Enthusiastic and Responsive

  Neva was a great part of our wedding day. She is very positive and enthusiastic. Her photos are bright, vivid, and crisp. She was super flexible with covid postponements and always suuuper responsive. She also provided sneak peaks and our full album in record time, which was SO nice to be able to see and share our pics so close to the big day. We would definitely recommend!

  Best Photographer in the DMV

  Neva is by far the best photographer in the DMV, and the best that i've had the pleasure of working with.
  
  Neva was soooo sweet, professional, and super patient, whenever i had a question, she would respond within an hour or two
  
  My husband is extremely camera shy, and she made him comfortable in front of the cameras
  
  The best part was how speedy she was in getting us our pictures back, the contract said six weeks, we got them in 3....

  Neva: Best. Photographer. Ever.

  Neva was by far and away one of the best parts of our wedding day. Her talent is undeniable - and her cheerful personality meant that my husband and I never felt awkward while getting our shots taken! She is able to instantly connect with anyone, and our family and friends are so impressed with the quality of her work (we are too, but we knew how great she was prior to the wedding). Neva was able to turn around a sneak peek in about one business day - perfect to show our guests who weren't able to attend the family-only ceremony of our wedding! I cannot recommend Neva highly enough - she not only will make you feel special on your wedding day, she will also produce a top-quality product that you can treasure forever. She is truly the best investment one could make on your wedding day.

  Two Thumbs Way Way Up!

  My husband and I the pleasure of working with Neva, owner of Aveli Studios, for our engagement and wedding photos in September, 2019, and we are thrilled with the results!
  
  Neva's services were recommended by her cousin, who is a close friend of mine from childhood. From our first meeting, Neva was personable and professional. She made my husband and me feel comfortable and relaxed, and we felt free to be our silly selves during our photo shoots. To our surprise and delight, Neva edited and sent our engagement photos to us within 24 hours!
  
  Neva's passion for, and dedication to her craft is beyond impressive! Something that sets her apart from other photographers is her enthusiasm. I never met a photographer who was equally (if not more) excited as her subjects during a shoot! Between shots, Neva squealed, "Oh my gosh, that's too cute! That is so perfect!"
  
  Neva's love for her work is reflected in every photograph she takes. Some artists prefer to separate themselves from their subjects when they work; Neva is the exact opposite. She made a connection with us and she was genuinely invested in our story. Her sense of humor, kindness, and passion shine through her work. She made us feel like we were creating and sharing something together as a community. And her prices were more reasonable than were other photographers for similar packages.

  Book her ASAP. Neva is GOLD.

  If I could have Neva narrate my life through film, I think I would - and not because my life is at cool, but DAMN it would look amazing through her lens. Neva was the best choice I made for my wedding. At an absolute freaking steal for videography, she was there from dusk to dawn capturing all the moments that we needed to remember our day at its best. She was THE FIRST PERSON to arrive out our venue, and came early to take detail shots of the venue being set, took videos of me getting ready, the boys getting ready, our dog arriving, the ceremony, the dancing, you name it she was THERE. In fact, if I wasn't 100% sure she doesn't have a sibling I would guess that she has 30 twins doing all the work she did. On top of that, she just understands lighting, framing, and mood. The video she sent us the morning after (literally less than 24 hours) as a sneak preview made me cry - 14 times. And my dad. And my mom. And my coworkers. So don't book her if you like to have boring videos, I guess.
  
  That's enough about her artistic style. LET'S GET TO THE PERSONAL STUFF. I think Neva might be my new best friend. Because what we need in life is people with integrity and who go above and beyond. Neva was not my wedding planner, but she has a event management background and kept us on time for everything we did. And she even helped manage some small fires here and there that had NOTHING to do with videography! So beyond just being an amazing artistic talent, she's the vendor we all need. My point is book this woman. You will never ever ever regret it.

  If I could have Neva narrate my life through film, I think I would - and not because my life is at cool, but DAMN it would look amazing through her lens.   Best Videographer EVER!

  I booked Neva after reviewing a couple clips of her sample work. The minute I saw her beautiful, artistic point of view, I knew I wanted her to capture my special day! I received a sneak peek video almost immediately after my wedding and it honestly took my breath away. I just received the finished video and was literally crying the entire time. She captured all the special moments from my wedding in the most intimate and caring way...and now I have this video to watch for years to come so I can re-live it and cherish these memories forever!

  Neva went above and beyond our expectations for our wedding. She was a kind, patient (with our crazy families!!), and professional videographer that worked so well with our photographer from another company. She is so passionate about her work and that passion shows through in the incredible wedding highlight video that we’ll be able to cherish for a lifetime. I would recommend her again and again.

  My husband and I recently hired Neva to photograph our wedding ceremony. We couldn't be happier with our choice! She was extremely professional, punctual, and willing to do everything to provide us with some amazing shots. It poured all day long on our wedding day but Neva was willing (excited, really) to shoot us outside and keep our dream of an outdoor wedding alive. She even brought us extra clear umbrellas to add to our stash so that every guest had a matching umbrella. We had spoken on the phone a few weeks before the ceremony about our vision for the photographs and she captured everything so beautifully. Our wedding guests actually couldn't believe that she wasn't a friend of ours because of how well she captured us. She was the perfect person to stealthily take great candids as well as direct us for more posed shots after the ceremony. We HIGHLY recommend her!
