Amazing Amazing Amazing!!

Where can I even start to explain how incredible it was to work with Terri Telesco and the team at Nellie’s Catering?

From the very first time we met with Terri for our wedding, we knew that she was going to be the best partner in planning our wedding we could ask for.

She and her team are excellent at what they do from the quality of their food, to wedding planning and coordination, to their staff, to the products they create.

You could seriously hire Terri to do your entire wedding for you and it would be gorgeous and the food delicious. She and her team are also just nice and fun people?? Such a joy to work with!!!

But to share more specifically:
1) We were planning a wedding from out of state. Terri was VITAL in recommending other vendors and working directly with them. She’s well respected and loved in the area and gets the best deals.
2) Terri was super responsive and jumped right in there with every question we had and idea we can up with. She “made it happen” on more than one occasion with how we wanted things set up, and was able to balance all of this with cost, which we really appreciate.
3) Terri is also a fantastic day-of coordinator and her team, including bar tenders, carried off a seamless event. They took all the ideas we had and complicated directions and carried them out to a tee. We didn’t have to stress at all the morning of the wedding or even during tear-down. They executed every detail flawlessly and took care of everything.
4) Terri and her team were also able to do all of our printing and signage for us - they checked every spelling, every detail, and caught our mistakes. It was such a sign of relief working with them.
5) Nellie’s makes amazing food. They were also able to confirm last minute requests we had for kosher and halal preparations. The guests were all really happy with their meal and the appetizers.
6) Terri helped us figure out our bar and what drinks we needed, and her bartenders were well loved by the crowd, even covering up how we had forgotten to include some of the main ingredients for one of our drinks!!
7) Nellie’s has a storehouse of wedding supplies - you will save a ton of money using what she has. We didn’t have to buy any glassware or candle holders or frames at all.

I could go on and on. Let me also share that Terri had surgery right before our wedding and was using a scooter to keep her knee up on!! She still got all of this done - I can only imagine her at 100%.

We were so blessed to work with Nellie’s and the success of our wedding (guests were in awe) is 100% thanks to Terri and Nellie’s. Book them! You will be in incredible hands!!

Wedding catering

I don’t know if I can express in words how grateful I am for Terri at Nellie’s. She is incredible. Goes absolutely above and beyond. I wish I could hug her forever. (!!) They put together the wedding we dreamed of, in the budget we wanted, and we still don’t quite understand how. And the service — what an amazing staff!

More than just catering!

Nellie’s Catering went above and beyond for our wedding day. I didn’t even need to use a wedding planner because they did everything! They made the process of planning a wedding fun and easy, with meetings at the venue to plan layouts, help with vendors, decoration planning, and more. The food was absolutely delicious, they did a fabulous open bar, and their day of planner helped keep our day stress free and seamless. They took such incredible care of us, and I highly recommend them!

Catering/wedding planner

I don’t even know where to begin, Terri went above and beyond through this whole process. She really brought my vision to life and I couldn’t of done it without her and her team! From the planning to the reality of setting up and flipping my ceremony to the reception I really couldn’t of done it without them! Highly recommend because Terri and her team are AMAZING!

They deserved 10000 stars

They really were outstanding. 100 across-the-board. so much detail and hard work they put into my entire wedding. It’s not just awesome food but you have Terry who asks every detail question to help get what YOU want, then you have Freda who helps coordinate the day of. There’s a prop room and they allow you to use WHATEVER is there. They are there to help take a lot of stress off of people who are planning their wedding themselves. It was just wonderful. Our wedding was perfection. The crew was so kind to bubbly.

So Much more than a caterer

Terri and the staff at Nellies is amazing! We had the classic Covid wedding, we changed our date once and our venue 3 times! that ultimately had them driving over an hour away. through all of this they still managed to pull out some wonder full food, beautiful tables and even helped keep me sane during some of the harder times. when you go with them there is really no reason to hire a planner because they are so knowledgeable and willing to help. wish I could give more stars!

Nellie’s took the work out of wedding planning

We loved working with Nellie’s! Definitely ask for Terri for your wedding coordinator, she’s the absolute best! She made the entire process not only painless but enjoyable. She gave great advice and truly wants to give clients the wedding of their dreams. The food was incredible too. We had an entirely vegan wedding and our guests loved the catering as well. Couldn’t recommend them enough! :)

Nellie's Catering -Customer Service at its best!

I called Nellie's Catering for a last minute wedding. My daughter had planned her wedding originally for November and she opted for a more intimate back yard setting. Fredda was absolutely amazing. She helped with menu selections around food allergies, personalized touches for the bride and groom, last minute changes, and delivery for a perfectly timed meal after the ceremony. I was wowed by Fredda and her entire team. It has been quite some time that I was made to feel that important as a customer and the fact that it was stress free and seamless for my daughter's wedding was so appreciated. I would highly recommend Nellie's Catering. And just in case I left you wondering, yes, the food was delicious!

Soooo amazing. Worth every penny!

Amazing from the first moment they called us! So helpful. Without them, we would’ve been disorganized and they helped us think of the questions we never would’ve had. They are so much more than just catering... provided decor for us, set up the decor and made our venue SHINE so beautifully, literally were like my mom the day of at the wedding running around talking to everyone and keeping everyone on schedule. At the rehearsal, it started pouring and they helped us essentially replan the wedding that night. We worked with Terri and Kathy. Hire them!

Absolutely Perfect

Nellie's did such a great job!! Terri and Kathy were there to help us with EVERYTHING, not just catering. We worked with them with vendors, decor, planning, rehearsal, day of coordination, absolutely everything. There was not a single glitch in our wedding thanks to Terri and Kathy. Everything was way more amazing than I ever could have imagined it. I had some pretty crazy ideas when it came to decor and setup but they made it all happen! Our menu was not your traditional wedding food but Nellie's did a tasting with us and everything came out perfect! We had different types of kebabs, a raw bar, rice, roasted veg, bread & salad. All the staff were so friendly too. I could not recommend Nellie's enough.

Instrumental in making our destination wedding a huge success!!

We had Nellie's not only cater our reception at Sunset Beach Resort, Siesta Key, FL but they also helped with so much of our wedding planning. Terri and Kathy did an AMAZING job for us, we are so grateful to have had their help to make our special day go so smoothly. Their expertise with the venue and with the other vendors and their willingness to be flexible were really a lifesaver for Craig and I since we were planning this from 4 states away! We knew we'd need help from so many of our friends in order to make this 5-day-long party work! I had asked some of my girlfriends for day-of help in setting up the welcome table & dessert table....it wasn't until 2 weeks after the wedding that they told me they never touched either set-up because Terri did it all! And she did a perfect and awesome job :) It was also a huge help to me to be able to get the fishbowls & other centerpiece supplies and lanterns (which were absolutely beautiful!) early so that I knew what I was dealing with and so that I could get the fish water acclimated. Terri went the extra mile by dropping those items off with me a couple days early. She was also SO helpful with clean-up! Kathy was so knowledgeable with rehearsal details and arch placement. The day-of she was instrumental in having everyone in the wedding party where they needed to be when they needed to be there AND for keeping my nerves at bay all the different moments that I needed that support! I am forever grateful for their help. They allowed me to be able to enjoy some priceless moments that would have otherwise been buried by stress! Oh....and the food! It was just great! Craig admitted to being sad that he didn't try more appetizers.... but I did, and they were yummy :) as was all the food! We heard some great reports from our friends and family as well. Thank you so much for helping make our best day ever truly great for everyone who traveled so far to help us celebrate! Nellie's is now part of some pretty great memories, you will forever be family to us!

Nellies did it all!

I'm so happy and pleased with the service with received from Nellies. Not only was the food amazing but you receive wedding coordinating service when you hire them. Kathy and Terri were amazing. Their attention to every single detail was on point which resulted in a perfect wedding day. If there were any hiccups at all I didn't see them. I recommend Nellies tenfold! I'm so happy I went this company.

Amazing from a - z

Terri and Kathy from Nellies did my wedding on October 5th and I can't say enough good things about my experience with them. They held my hand through the whole wedding planning process from start to finish. They helped me with things I didn't even know I needed to do, kept me organized, kept my budget in mind AND the food and service was great at the wedding. Amazing customer service and delicious food!

If I could give Nellie's 6 or 7 stars, I absolutely would! Brie and Kathy were WONDERFUL to work with. They were always super responsive and their attention to detail was unmatched. Not to mention, the food was beyond delicious. Numerous guests told us it was the best wedding food they've had! Brie and Kathy made planning our destination wedding a breeze. From our first meeting to our final hug after the reception, we always felt like we were in very caring and capable hands. Thanks to the entire Nellie's staff for making our big day a huge success!

Loved our Experience!

Working with Nellie’s was such a wonderful experience. We loved the personal connections and really felt like we got to know everyone in the office by the end of our time together. The communication throughout the planning process was excellent and they really made it an enjoyable experience. They worked with us to keep within our budget and we are still getting compliments on the quality of the dinner service. The food was delicious and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Using the decorations was a huge plus for us and saved us both time and money. Crafts have never been our strong suit so having Kathy and Brie to help us pick styles and decorate our venue really topped off what was an overall excellent experience. Would highly recommend!!!

Great food, Great staff

We can't thank Fredda, Craig, Ashlee, Kathy and the entire Nellie's team for making our day so perfect. The day ran exactly as planned, Nellie's helps with more than just delicious food. The catering team helps with everything from the timeline, to rentals and decor, to seating arrangements, exceptional servers and bartenders, and making the day flow exactly as planned. The food was delicious, we got so many compliments and even had people asking for seconds, Craig was able to work with us on creating a custom menu for a very picky crowd. Thank you Nellie's for making our day exactly what we wanted!

If quality and support are important to you, then look no further.

We strongly considered hiring Nellie’s as our wedding caterer based on a friend’s glowing referral. Being a native born Sarasotian, I had grown up with the city’s favorite family owned lunch spot called Nellie’s Deli but had learned (via referral) of their Catering extension.

My (now) husband and I were planning everything from out-of-state but managed to fly into Sarasota for vendor interviews one weekend. Upon arrival we met Ashlee Rulison, the Catering Manager, who quickly became one of our favorite vendors. She walked us through all that Nellie’s Catering had to offer without it coming off super salesy or overwhelming. Ashlee was never pressuring but calming and chill. Something my husband and I are as well, so we knew we liked her. Nellie’s Catering not only offered the food and catering staff but a day of coordinator (for an incremental cost), a prop room full of various decor to apply to your look (free of charge), and to top it all off the overall management of logistics and vendors during the planning process right through the day of. You can imagine the tension lifting from us once we discovered all that they do. We felt supported more than we could have expected and hired them on the spot.

Because we lived out-of-state from our wedding destination, I feared the planning process would be even more overwhelming but Ashlee's communication throughout the process was clearly organized and reassuring every step of the way. We had multiple check-ins and deadlines leading up to our wedding month that really kept us on track.

THE REHEARSAL
We ended up going with the incremental cost associated with the Day of Coordinator and honestly I don’t know how people manage without one. Kathy Taylor was our DOC and she is ON IT. Her direct/frank nature came in handy in the heat of it all. Our wedding party and immediate family was a 50-50 combination of locals and out-of-towners. The first time most of us saw one another was during our rehearsal walk through with Kathy. She was thorough and quick witted. She’s basically a bad ass who gets things done without offending anyone. Again, she was ON IT and I’m so glad we had her in our corner.

THE DAY
They say rain on your wedding day is good luck and means your marriage will last. At the time, this belief couldn’t calm me fast enough but in the moment Nellie’s team (both Ashlee and Kathy) reassured us that we had a couple options. I mean it was down right pouring on our outdoor dream of a wedding day. Ashlee made sure all outside table/furniture was covered with tarps during the storm, while Kathy managed the band and our guests stuck inside. As time went on Kathy devised a plan to start the cocktail hour in place of the ceremony time slot to keep guests occupied and satiated. She worked it out with our photographer to take photos with family to keep us focused and somewhat on schedule. It couldn’t have worked out more perfectly. The rain caused delay in transportation and ppl were arriving late anyway but immediately calmed by the cocktail hour and knowing they did not miss the ceremony. The Sunset following the storm was majestic. Every last detail I conveyed with Ashlee leading up to this moment was as I imagined and better. Seeing everything brought to life was my aw-ha moment. I remember thinking how grateful I was for Nellie’s Catering team and how much care they put into our special day. The little food I got to eat was delicious and our guests still talk about how genius having a cocktail hour first was for a wedding. They think it was planned the whole time. :)

I cannot recommend Nellie’s Catering enough. If quality and support are important to you, then look no further.

Highly Recommend!!!

Brie and Kathy at Nellie's were beyond outstanding! They were so amazing to work with, patient with my million changes to the menu, answered all of my questions promptly, and met with me numerous times. The ENTIRE staff the day of set everything up perfectly, were extremely professional, kind, and efficient. Nellies can literally do it all and you will not be disappointed!!!!!

Awesome Food and Service

Awesome food and service! Loved working with them. They provided a ton of little details that we were able to use for our special day and made things so easy for us.

After we decided to book Nellie's my wife found out she had a Gluten Allergy - They were able to make sure all of the items we chose were gluten free.

Perfect Addition to Our Happily Ever After

We are forever grateful to Kathy and Brie who helped make our wedding day absolutely perfect! They were extremely responsive from the beginning of the entire process and so helpful to us, who had no clue where to begin planning our wedding. The food was fantastic and the service was great, from setting up all of our decor and centerpieces for the reception to the break down at the end of the night, we couldn't have done this without them. This Is Your Catering Dream Team!

Nellies was PHENOMENAL!! From the flexibility of meetings, to the food tasting, to the decor options, this team has got it down! They went above and beyond to help us through our decision process, and were able to accommodate our food allergies flawlessly. Our guests were all talking about how incredible the food was! (Even the ones who owned their own restaurant!) As if the food wasn't enough, Ashlee and Kathy walked us back to their decor room where we were able to pick from a plethora of details! Lanterns, center pieces, table numbers, candles, stones, etc. They even set up a mock table with our linens to show us how it would all look! Their staff was incredibly kind and professional the day of and made sure our guests were fed and happy!!

Catering and Co-ordinating all in one

Nellies was an excellent choice. The staff were very professional, everybody had a job that they executed extremely well with a smile on their faces, from set-up, to break-down, they did not miss a beat. Every guest complimented us on the food, the courteous staff and bar-tender, I do not think we had even one neutral comment. At the end of the evening the staff continued to amaze me in helping with every aspect of clean-up and removing items from the venue - again, with smiles on their faces. I can highly recommend this company for all your wedding needs.

Nellie's was the first and only caterer we looked at for our wedding. We initially met with Fredda who quickly answered our questions and made our decision an easy one. We were introduced to our catering manager and did a walk thru. This made envisioning everything so simple and exciting. Sadly our manager left the company before our wedding however Brie was assigned to our wedding and did such a fabulous job! She put my mind at ease immediately. Many compliments were given about the staff and the food the night of the wedding. Nellie's will truly let you be in charge and let you dictate your special day. They just make sure everything goes as planned so that the day of you have no worries. This was very true for myself and my husband. The wedding day was truly one that was relaxing and stress free. We enjoyed every minute to the fullest.

From the beginning to the end Nellie's was an awesome caterer to work with. They have a great team that managed communication very well. Everyone I encountered - Fredda, Kathy, and Brie were super easy and enjoyable to work with. We have been lost without Nellie's Deli as our caterer! The amount of services that Nellie's provided makes them much more than just a catering company. Nellie's schedules several meetings throughout the planning process to help ensure all details are covered. Nellie's also has a storeroom of wedding decor that they let you look through and pick items to use during the wedding. We didn't have to purchase any centerpieces and used all the items from Nellie's. They also provide a day-of ceremony coordinator. Kathy was our ceremony coordinator and she made sure everyone knew where to go and how to line up. Brie was our amazing catering manager! Brie took care of the set up of our ceremony and reception. She decorated the entire wedding exactly the way I wanted. All we had to do was drop off our items to Nellie's a couple days before the wedding and they took care of the rest! All of our guests commented on how great the food was! We also used Nellie's to serve the alcohol at the wedding. We provided all the alcohol, mixers, and cups. Nellie's provided the drink dispensers, napkins, and ice. We definitely saved a lot of money by providing our own alcohol and having Nellie's serve.

Nellie's Catering was hired to cater my daughter's wedding. Fredda and Mary Kay had so many wonderful ideas to make this day so magical. They were always easy to deal with and accessible. Fredda always had a positive attitude and assured us that it would be beautiful. We made many changes throughout the process but this never affected Fredda or Mary Kay.
As the day approached and the crew were setting up, it all fell into place. Her crew knew exactly what needed to be done. They worked well with the venue. During the reception, they were willing to answer any questions we had.
The food, the absolutely DELICIOUS, food!! The presentation was beautiful and we had so many compliments on the food.
Nellie's Catering was very instrumental in making this such a magical, "fairy tale" wedding. We could not have done all of this without their input. I would recommend Nellie's Catering for your next event.

Nellie's service at our wedding was phenomenal. From our first meeting/tasting I could tell that the service with Nellie's was so much better than other caterers we met with. The Nellie's team really cares about your wedding and they showed great enthusiasm towards our wedding which was greatly appreciated. Nellie's was great at accommodating our budget while also still providing yummy food. At the wedding I was extremely happy with their professionalism and kindness towards my guests. It was also nice that Nellie's made sure the groom and I ate dinner as well as had full drinks all night. Thanks again Nellie's for your amazing work at our wedding and helping to make our special day even better!

My husband and I booked Nellie's to cater our wedding reception this weekend at Historic Spanish Point. I worked directly with MaryKay and Kathy, and they were exceptionally professional, making sure our special day was organized, classy, and beautiful. Although the weather brought wind and cold, our guests raved about the Spanish style cuisine Nellie's customized for us, especially the freshly sauteed seafood paella. The hospitality they showed our guests was amazing. I would highly recommend Nellie's Catering to any bride looking for an experienced catering company willing to accommodate specific requests and menu ideas.

Fredda, Kathy and Mary Kay were an amazing team to work with! Kathy and Fredda gave me a number of menu/service options for our budget, and we went with food stations (tacos and pasta). We stayed well-within our planned budget, and got so much more than we'd hoped for from Nellie's! The complementary day-of-coordinator was fantastic, and helped bring our dream to life! Mary Kay knew exactly what I had in mind, and coordinated everything so seamlessly and quickly. The entire process was so well-organized and comprehensive, and my every request and concern was addressed and accommodated immediately. I would add a sixth star to their rating if possible!

The entire Nellies team is truly fabulous! Kathy is absolutely amazing to work with!! She and Fredda are an awesome team. They go over every aspect of your day in a very detailed outline. They strive to ensure you have THE BEST DAY EVER!! They did not disappoint! In fact, they truly exceeded our expectations. The food is so good and the desserts are beautiful and also delicious. Our wedding day could not have been more perfect!! Thank you, Nellies team!!

Kathy went way above and beyond for our Big Day. She is very attentive to every tiny detail and extremely hardworking. When we would walk into the office, we felt like family. She has a huge heart and genuinely cares for her clients. You will feel like friends pretty much immediately. Kathy was onsite, ensuring our day went smoothly and all the vendors are on time and placed where we had talked about. She took care of everything. I entrusted Kathy with making our day special and she completely exceeded all expectations.

Nellie's catering was amazing to have through the whole wedding process. Through the whole time before the wedding they were there to help with wedding planning and helped recommend other amazing vendors for me. The day of the wedding I had Kathy there to help for the whole ceremony process. I could not say enough and am so thankful for all that she did to make sure my wedding was amazing. After the ceremony I had Mary Kay that made sure the reception was decorated beautiful and the food was delicious. I had many of the guests tell me how amazing the food was for the reception. The best part of choosing Nellie's Catering as my caterer/wedding planner is that I was able to tell them everything I wanted for the day of the wedding and give them all of the decorations I wanted placed before the wedding. The day of the wedding I didn’t have to stress about putting anything together for the day. They were in charge and made sure the ceremony was decorated beautifully and that the ceremony went off without any trouble. The reception was also decorated for me with not only my decorations, but also some of the decorations that nellie's offers for centerpieces. The best decision I made on my vendors was having Nellie's Catering there.

I would highly recommend Nellie's to any bride in the area. They were professional, worked around my schedule, and provided a fantastic value. We had rain during our reception and they were fantastic to inform us, they moved all the chairs under cover, and there was hardly a stop in the party! We are still receiving raving food reviews from our family and friends as well (we did a buffet style taco dinner)! Fredda was delightful to work with, and Cheryl and Kathy were so helpful and kind during the whole process.

The food, décor arrangement, graphics...everything that was done by Nellie's was so well done! It was so easy to work with Nellie's as well especially from being out of the country. It was so nice to have the event planning and catering all wrapped into one! I would highly recommend Nellie's!

Nellie's catered for our wedding on April 9th at the Palmetto Bed and Breakfast. We served a duet plate of mahi mahi and beef tenderloin and people are still telling me how delicious the food was. Nellie's team takes care of everything that you need. From the moment you book with her they treat you as though you are their only client. They have six different meetings with you, one of them being at the site of your venue. This is huge because they walk the property and go over how everything will be set up!! They also take care of ordering all the rentals for you, and go over the list to make sure nothing is forgotten. Not to mention they have an entire room of decorations that they let you use, which is amazing!! Thank you so much to Cheryl and her team for making our day perfect!! The service, food, and professionalism is beyond anything you could imagine.

There are not enough words in the English language to say how amazing Nellie's is. Not only do they provide the catering for your wedding, but they also help you with the planning. Nellie's is there every step of the way to make sure you are staying on schedule, not forgetting anything, and enjoying the planning process.
We don't know what we would have done without them. They took all the stress out of wedding planning. I swear. From the moment we walked through the door, Fredda the owner greeted us with a smile and a hug. We knew we were in good hands.
She and her team helped us navigate food, rental items, table design, table decor, time schedule for the day of rehearsal and day of the wedding, and so much more.
I should mention that the food is beyond delicious. A week after the wedding and people are still commenting on how good the food was. I have an aunt and uncle with special dietary needs, and Nellie's was able to work with us to create special plates for them so they could enjoy the reception like everyone else.
I was never worried or stressed when it came to planning, because I knew we were in good hands. Fredda made us feel like family. The day of the wedding, because of how thorough and wonderful Nellie's is, I was able to just enjoy myself, because I knew Nellie's was taking care of everything else. That is no price you can put on that kind of peace of mind.
If you are planning your wedding, do yourself a favor and go with Nellie's. They are the best in the business with quality, friendliness, professionalism, flexibility, and service.

We teamed with Kathy for the wedding ceremony and Mary Kay and team for the reception. They both did an outstanding job being flexible and well organized. As a mobile DJ we see new caterers all the time and Nellie's was phenomenal. Their presentation and attention to detail makes them a great choice and we will absolutely recommend Nellie's!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Nellie's and their AMAZING wedding coordinator MaryKay. We chose Nellie's as our wedding caterer and ended up getting much more than that. They assisted us every step of the way in our planning -- wedding coordination, complete day of timeline, decor and set-up, plus much more. We also had a very unique wedding experience because our original venue went out of business just over 3 weeks before our wedding. Nellie's rallied around out and assisted us in finding and booking a new venue and still having the most beautiful wedding day ever. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the company as a whole and about our assigned coordinator MaryKay! I 200% recommend Nellie's Catering services!

As the mother of the bride, I needed to find a caterer that could work with our daughter, an out of state college student, for her Sarasota wedding that was in less than 6 months. Fredda and Craig Pohl, of Nellie's Catering surpassed our expectations. Fredda created a detailed time line to keep us on track and developed a delicious menu that stayed within our budget. Our catering manager, Stephanie, assisted us in designing a beautiful reception by utilizing decorating ideas from the magical "prop" room, ordering the many rental items that we needed for our venue, printing lovely place cards and signs, and collaborating with us via countless phone, e-mail, and one on one meetings.
Our daughter's wedding reception was beautiful and classy, and the food was yummy. We owe that to the wonderful owners and staff at Nellie's, and their truly, Full Service catering.

We could not have been more pleased with Fredda and Craig and their staff at Nellie's Catering. We hired them to cater a sit down served dinner in our home for our 50th wedding anniversary. The food was wonderful and Fredda and Mary Kay Abate took care of every detail for us including rental equipment that was needed. They helped plan every detail of the event and made sure that everything went according to plan. Fredda had great ideas on hosting an elegant dinner while keeping costs under control. We can't wait to have them plan our daughter's wedding in December!

Thanks to Fredda and her wonderful support staff my daughter had the wedding of her dreams. Fredda is so knowledgeable and professional but manages to make you feel like family. Her staff work together really well and everything looked so easy. Her husband is the chef and the food was amazing. If I hadn't known better I would have sworn the food was prepared on the premises and not transported from Sarasota to Bradenton. If you want a high class service at a very reasonable price you could not do better than Nellie's.

We used Nellie's for our April wedding at Phillippi Mansion and they were a dream to work with right from the start. Fredda is the most organized, detail oriented person and I don't think I would have been able to plan my wedding without her! She went through every minute of the wedding and thought of things that I never would have remembered.

The food was awesome and the service was spot on. They even had food and drinks waiting for us after the ceremony so we wouldn't miss all of cocktail hour! If anything went wrong, I didn't know about it and that speaks volumes for this awesome team. Mary Kay was our Catering Manager and I couldn't have been happier with her. She is AMAZING at her job and I am so lucky that we got to work with her!

We used Nellie's catering for our beach wedding at the Tortuga Resort. If you are looking for a wonderful catering team and experience, look no more! We live 2.5 hours away so coordinating appointments for all of our vendors was a challenge. Nellie's owner, Fredda, and our catering manager, Mary Kay, made this more than easy. Fredda handled our first phone appointments; she was so thorough and helpful that we felt like we had everything planned months and months in advance! She gave us great ideas and advice when we needed it.

We met Mary Kay at our on site appointment and knew we were meant to be! She was energetic, fun, smart, and extremely laid back - more than we could have hoped for. We knew that when she said she would "make it work," she meant it. And did she ever! Her team rocked our wedding. With the onset of monsoon rains and 30 mile-an-hour winds, it seemed like her team didn't blink an eye. I can't imagine how challenging it must have been to set up, coordinate, feed and supply alcohol to 75 people during these conditions, but she made it look like a cake walk.

The food was delicious!! Even we were impressed by how good it was, and our guests commented on how much they enjoyed it. The bartender was everyone's favorite person :) When our guests would walk up to get a drink, she knew what they were drinking and had it ready before they got there.

Nellie's catering team is outstanding, especially manager Mary Kay. HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY!!! RECOMMEND!

My daughter got married at Mote Marine on March 7, 2015 and had Nellies as her caterer. We had a wonderful experience with everyone there. The food was amazing!! Everyone raved about everything. They helped us plan every single step of the wedding. They even provided help by loaning us some of the centerpieces. They have a prop room with items to pick from. Lots of complimentary things to use. Fredda helped us plan every single minute of my daughters wonderful day. Everyone attending said it was the best wedding!! Would recommend them in a heartbeat!!

Nellies was amazing from start to finish. They provide more than just food, they help in planning every step of the way. Planning a wedding can be overwhelming but Nellies provides a plan with goals and timelines and takes so much pressure off. Their prop room saved me a ton in added decorations and their staff are some of the nicest people I've ever met.

They won't be the least expensive option out there at first glance but the value they provide in borrowing decor items, planning services, and an added day of coordinator makes them hands down the best there is.

They take care of everything the day of from setup to breakdown and it makes it so you are able to relax and enjoy the day

From the moment I met with the owner of Nellie's Catering, Fredda Pohl, I/We were treated like Royalty. Fredda spent so much time with me over my 9 month time-frame, not only making sure that she knew what we wanted for our special day but also to give me suggestions and ideas that would help make things perfect. We were also blessed with having Cheryl as our Catering Manager. I first met Cheryl the day I picked her up from Nellie's to take her to see our venue. Cheryl spent hours with me, listening to my ideas and giving me her suggestions. I felt like I had just spent the day with a very good friend. Fredda and Cheryl never made me feel like I was calling, emailing, or changing things too much. Actually the opposite, they always made me feel like I was their only concern. We were also lucky enough to have Susan as our "Day of" Coordinator. Susan was not only professional, but she was able to corral our family into doing what needed to be done. Everything went so smoothly thanks to her. On the day of our wedding, Cheryl and our event staff came several hours early to help set up everything. Now I don't mean just putting on some table cloths and arranging tables and chairs. They did everything for me, from placing the table cloths and overlays on the tables, to setting the tables with our antique china and glass water pitchers to the rented silverware and glasses. Plus they decorated the tables with all of my centerpieces and many candleholders and bud vases. Then they decorated our dessert table with all of the desserts that they placed on my dessert trays along with candles and flowers. Everything looked AMAZING, and I could not have done all of this without them. They were wonderful ! And the food was the BEST that I have ever had at an event. We received so many wonderful compliments on the food and on the incredible service that Cheryl and her staff gave everyone. Choosing Nellie's was the BEST decision that we made when planning our incredible wedding !!!!!

The staff at Nellie's Catering, especially Stephanie Goldsby, our catering manager, really came through in a big way in creating the perfect wedding event for us. Due to unforeseen circumstances, our original catering manager was unavailable for our event two weeks before our big day. However, thanks to the professionalism of Nellie's staff, a team effort ensued headed by Stephanie Goldsby who worked tirelessly to make sure that EVERY tiny detail (and then some!) was attended to and taken care of seamlessly. Our guests raved about the quality of the food that Nellie's prepared and about the elegance in which our venue was decorated. From our first meeting with Fredda, the owner of Nellie’s, we knew that Nellie’s catering was the one. She immediately made us feel like the most important couple she was working with. The food was delicious and they were well priced too. Once we signed on the entire planning process was laid out and we were given the freedom to move through it as slowly or as quickly as we’d like. Since we picked a venue where all the planning was left to us it was great to have Nellie’s guide us the entire time. Our catering manager Cheryl was efficient, friendly and always prompt in her responses to emails and phone calls. Everytime we met with Fredda or Cheryl they were well prepared, able to answer any questions and calm any concerns. I loved that thru the entire experience Fredda kept reminding us this is our story to tell. I think you need that because you tend to get caught up in the details and sometimes lose focus on what this is all about. The wedding coordinator Susan was great! It isn’t easy organizing my family but she did it with grace and ease. Having her there to run the show eased the stress of the both the rehearsal and the big day. At the reception, all of our guests raved about the delicious food, the superior organization and how smoothly the evening went! Even my mom, who usually only eats food she makes, said how tasty all the food was-she stuffed herself full! When I got my security deposit back from the venue, the very particular venue manager told me that Nellie’s did an excellent clean up job and she was very pleased. They are truly a full service catering company but also more-they are family! Cheryl was there before I walked down the aisle to tell me I looked beautiful and give me a reassuring smile. Fredda stopped by later in the night to see how the things were going and ended up helping us with the cake cutting. Little touches like these make you see just how much the staff truly cares about you and want this to be the most magical day of your life!

It has been one year today since our wedding day and still we have friends and family that speak so very highly of the delectable dinner that was served that evening along with the thoughtfulness and care that the professional staff there put in to make our wedding go off without a hitch. I cannot speak highly enough about how professional, accommodating, and thoroughly pleasant it was to work with Fredda and her staff. The food really was spectacular and service all around impeccable. Having a non traditional wedding (without a bride) we struggled in finding a caterer with such a welcoming and open door policy however Fredda and her team treated us with such care and respect as they do with all of their clientele that we could not imagine having worked with anyone else. They were so thorough down to the last detail from table arrangements to table decor and even placement rehearsal (not to mention that as amazing as they were they were also just as accommodating and affordable - trust me we looked around!) I would recommend Nellie's to anyone. They made our whole evening come together in a way that was unforgettable!

In the case of Nellie's, not only were the food and service excellent...I can't say enough about how beneficial the other services they offer were. Included in the price, co-owner Fredda took great care and time to sit with us and create a detailed timeline of the entire wedding day for us to follow. In other words, you get the bonus of a wedding coordinator. They also have many beautiful props which you can use for the wedding or reception. My sister and I set-up and decorated the entire reception with a combination of things I purchased and things I used from Nellie's prop room. It was great fun and turned out beautiful! Also well worth mentioning, Fredda was wonderful at working a menu to fit our budget. Their willingness and ability to offer grand fare or something simpler is just one more thing which makes them unique and special. I highly recommend Nellie's to any future bride and groom!

When we first started planning, our wedding venue (Marie Selby Gardens) had recommended Nellie's Catering to us. We did not hire a planner and we don't have any family in Sarasota, so it was a blessing to work with Fredda Pohl right from the start. She guided us throughout the entire planning process and frequently stayed late to meet with us after hours due to our work schedules. We had several tastings (all complimentary and wonderful by the way!) and Nellie's customized our catering package to work within our budget. We had an open bar which was so much more affordable than any other caterer. The food was AMAZING-- several people told us it was the best "wedding meal" they've ever had! Also, our guests were very complimentary of the service at the wedding, which was super important to us. Nellie's is the best in town and it will be the best decision any bride and groom can make! Our Catering Manager was Cheryl and she was wonderful! Always quick to respond to e-mails/calls and gave wonderful advice. We moved our reception indoors 1 week prior to the wedding day, yet Cheryl still made everything perfect! She turned our visions into a reality and our wedding was a dream come true as a result :) We also used Nellie's for our Rehearsal Dinner, as they provided their restaurant for a private venue at no extra cost (huge perk)! Our Rehearsal Catering Manager was MaryKay and she was awesome! She had great ideas and created the most beautiful and intimate rehearsal dinner. We had an Italian theme and the food was OUTSTANDING! We cannot thank MK enough for making our Rehearsal Dinner so special. Brie at Nellie’s was also very helpful and rocked our wedding bar! We would recommend Nellie's Catering to any future couple because they are so much more than a caterer. Truly Five Star! Thank you to the entire Nellie's team for everything! For someone who unfortunately didn't have her mother to help her plan her wedding, Nellie's provided the love, security and service that all brides want. I can start off by saying that they are the most flexible company I have ever worked with. For our first meeting, we met with Fredda Pohl. She was kind enough to meet with us after hours since we were only in town that weekend. My husband and I live in Tallahassee but we are both from Sarasota. We were 30 minutes late for our appointment due to horrible traffic and she still was so kind enough to meet us. We talked and talked about everything that she could make happen and even gave me ideas for ways to incorporate both my mom and grandma who passed away last year. I was so indecisive about everything but she reassured me that would take care of everything. From there we decided that they would be the company to cater our wedding. . My husband and I are huge procrastinators so a lot of things were done last minute but they were there for us the whole way. They helped me figure out how to decorate everywhere with a few DIY projects and a lot of props that they have in stock. They understood my vision when I didn't. We also had a ceremony coordinator. I only met her the day before the wedding but she we were sure that everything would run smoothly and that we didnt have to worry about having every little detail in mind. Our wedding day was so carefree and wonderful. Everything was decorated beautifully and exactly the way I had planned it. The food was incredible and everyone was talking about it afterwards. Nellie's was able to make a special sauce that was a staple of my mom's cooking and they replicated it to a T. My whole family was reminded of my mom that night. I would recommend Nellie's deli above any other catering service in the Sarasota area. We met with a few vendors that didn't even give us as many options and choices as Nellie's Catering did. And for that I thank them with all of my heart and soul!

I was amazed at how wonderful and accommodating the Nellie's Deli Catering crew was with me and my husband while planning our wedding. From the first day we stepped foot into their office, they were not only super warm and friendly to get to know us, but also very organized and professional while reassuring us that they would not only cater the wedding, but also help us plan every detail, leading into the wedding day.
I couldn't believe how well they kept their word. It clearly wasn't their first rodeo and they made sure to guide us with monthly meetings, where we would communicate the progress of our wedding planning, along with collecting new ideas that would come along the way. After only a few meetings with Fredda (the owner of Nellie's), she had matched me up with one of her team members named Brie, who would be working directly with me for any further planning.
Brie was a delight to work with. During our meetings we were able to knock out some of the important decisions as far as the dinner menu and music arrangements, and also managed to resolve some of the smaller ones too, such as the decorations.
The decorations actually became a huge bonus once working with Nellie's, because of their large variety of vases, marbles, fake flowers, and candle holders, that were all complimentary and stored in the prop room. This alone helped us budget the cost in certain areas, while still giving our wedding the glamorous look it deserved.
When the wedding day came, Fredda, Brie and the whole Nellie's crew were there hours early to set up, an hours after to close it all down. They were so kind to my husband and I, along with all our guests. Not only were they happy to be there but truly focused on executing the night just as we planned in the upcoming months before then. I truly felt as if our wedding couldn't have gone more right. Nellie's Deli is an AMAZING team and I would highly recommend them to everyone!

We used Nellie's for our fathers 90th birthday celebration and they were great. The pricing was good, they were on top of everything right from the start, were flexible during the preparations and especially during the event. Being an event planner myself, I had to choose a caterer that provided a complete package. Fredda Pohl & the Nellie's Catering Staff handled my daughter's wedding with professionalism and creativity. Nellie's planned every detail, and documented every change that occurs in the process of planning your event. At the end of our meetings, we were given a printed detailed agenda, that the Nellie’s Wedding Coordinator brought to the rehearsal, and reviewed it with the wedding party so that that everyone was on the same page. EVERYONE knew what to expect the day of the wedding. The agenda assured us that the events of the ceremony and reception fit together seamlessly. Having a wedding coordinator is PRICELESS! I LOVE Nellie's prop room! Nellie's props are offered complimentary, AND Nellie’s will work with your florist to create the centerpieces or let you DIY. The catering managers are dedicated to making sure that every item that is needed for the reception, is collected, inventoried and delivered without a hitch. (Thanks MK) Nellie's coordinates with the rental companies, making sure that the proper number is given for each item rented...from chairs to chargers, teaspoons and tablecloths, they calculate each item and make changes as your guest count increases or wanes. Every member of the team works hard to make sure you feel like the special guest, at the reception you are throwing for YOUR GUESTS. (Thanks to Cheryl, Judy, Ali, Jared, Olga and….)
Nellie's created a customized menu to meet our exact needs. Because Nellie's took such good care of us, we were able to enjoy our guests and not carry the burden of making sure everything was accomplished. Nellie's made our wedding day dreams become a reality...on OUR BUDGET!!!

Nellie's did an amazing job with our wedding! I have gotten endless complements on the food.. one person actually almost licked the plate clean! Cheryl is an amazing catering manager. She could almost read my mind (or maybe my body language) with a lot of things which was great because I'm not very vocal about what I want most of the time. The catering staff kept all of my guests happy. The set up of the reception was absolutely beautiful. They went along with all my crazy ideas and let my family be control freaks with it all! We also hired Susan as our ceremony director. She saved the day twice- once when the petals for the ceremony aisle didn't quite make it out in time and again when the flower girl did not want to cooperate! She is my hero! Thank you Susan, Cheryl, Fredda, Brie and everyone else who helped make our wedding perfect!

Nellie’s was all that we ever could have asked for and MORE in a catering company! We had some bumps along the way, but Nellie’s was always ready to amend any issues that came to light. Let me just say that I am not the most easy-going or easily pleased girl around, so for them for surpass my expectations says a lot about the quality of service they offer.

Constant emails, phone calls and meetings prior to our big day ensured that everyone involved was on the same page at all times. Our Catering Manager, Cheryl, did a fabulous job of staying in touch and keeping in contact with me to make sure things were on the right track. Fredda, the owner, also played a tremendously helpful role in guaranteeing our day was a success. Everyone we worked with was wonderful and always there to lend a helping hand if we needed anything. We had a wedding planner and Nellie’s was also great about working with our other vendors to ensure things functioned properly. If you are looking for a prepared, experienced and detail-oriented catering company…Nellie’s is your answer without a doubt.

Aside from service, the food was absolutely magnificent! All our guests were raving about how delicious the food was at our wedding, and this was all thanks to Nellie’s and their extraordinary team. They offer a wide variety of options so that you can make the day all your own, right down to the appetizers. We did stations with a variety of tacos, hamburger sliders, a hummus display and many other tasty options. I can assure you….everything was utterly mouthwatering…even the crab cakes…and I don’t even like crab! Their team made sure my husband, and I both ate, and we were greeted with cocktails right after the ceremony! Seriously, what more could you ask for?!?!?

I genuinely can’t say enough…Nellie’s is absolutely the way to go…we are so over joyed that we chose them to cater our wedding….and you will be too.

Nellies was the best decision that I made for my wedding by far! I would have been so disorganized without them. I was looking for a "day of" wedding planner and I realized that they were all very expensive so during my search I came across Nellies as a catering option and realized that they do free wedding planning with catering! I went to meet them and I was really impressed with their catering center, how nice and accommodating they were, and I also loved how they have a prop room where you can borrow things for your wedding decorations ( they have glass beads, sand, votives, so many glass vases in various shapes and sizes, lanterns, drink tubs, everything you can imagine- to borrow!). I knew they were the right fit for me. My catering manager was Cheryl and she was amazing! She had a photographic memory and remembered all the little things even i forgot. I was really anxious on how the wedding would turn out because we were having it at my husband's Grandad's house and it wasn't going to be the "typical" wedding and Cheryl put me at ease. She came to do a site inspection and drew out a map from memory of where everything was going to go and be and was so positive and helpful the entire time. During the process I came for several meetings and they go over every detail ( many of them you would have NEVER thought of otherwise)- so the day runs very smoothly. My wedding day was the day of my dreams, there were no issues, everyone raved about the food and service, all of the staff members were amazing- including Cheryl. I had many family skeptics before the wedding and afterwards we got multiple comments of "that was the best wedding I have ever been to" and "that ran so smoothly". The next day the house looked untouched and back to normal- Nellies was very respectful with the house and made sure to leave it like it was when they got there. I can't say enough wonderful things about my experience. Thank you Nellies for helping me have the wedding of my dreams!!!

Very well organized and professional, we had to make some last minute changes because of bad weather for our wedding ceremony and reception, Brie and her crew took control made everything that could have been a disaster into a wonderful day. I cannot rave enough on how great the food was everyone complimented how wonderful it was. Nellie's Catering was the perfect choice for my daughter's wedding. Venue was the bride's Grandmother's home which made for a few unusual challenges but our Catering Manager Brie Barstow handled everything with the utmost professionalism and caring. A huge THANK YOU! to Nellie's Catering for making our wedding day so magical and worry-free!

We had called about two weeks before our wedding day, freak out because all food plans had slowly fallen apart on us. We had vegetarians, carb-free dieters, and lactose intolerant people attending our wedding. Lucky for us, Nellie's came to our rescue! Everyone left full, satisfied and saying how the loved the food and decorations were.

All the staff is wonderful and makes you feel like a family member. They go above and beyond what other caterers do. They are willing to work with you and guide you in the right direction to make your special a dream come true.

I plan to use them again anytime I have a party that is in need of catering.

Fredda and her staff at Nellie's made my wedding so easy to get through. They walk you through every step of the way. They have meetings for you to plan every detail of the wedding. We had a destination wedding in a place that neither of us had ever visited. Fredda and her team went beyond our expectations to provide us with our dream wedding. From our first meeting, I knew Fredda was the one that would help me get through the wedding planning. Terrific is the only way to describe Nellie's Catering from beginning to end! From our first interviews and tastings trying to determine who we would contract with for our daughter's destination beach wedding for 100 guests, Nellie's stood out! Trying to plan a wedding from a distance was made so much easier for my daughter and myself because of the catering staff at Nellie's. They are truly experts and any issue that came up seemed to be handled effortlessly and when we were faced with "what do we do about this" times, we relied on our Nellie's catering manager, Brian Delutz, for his reccommendations and he was always right! Brian is a professional that saw us through the pressure that mounts as the wedding draws near and his calm response was always "it will be fine, this is what we do". Brian was calm and reassuring through it all including through the pressure of "showtime", the reception. Brian and the Nellie's staff were fabulous and it all went by far too quickly! Probably the question that now raises though is "how was the food'? The food was amazing and even days after our wedding, we had people commenting about how truly wonderful all of the food was. The presentation was wonderful but it also was incredible tasting! So, the food was wonderful but even beyond the food, they do so much more! Our tablescapes were lovely as well as their ability to fill in all the little things that we hadn't thought of or knew how to handle. Nellie's was sooo right for us - Fredda is clearly an expert running this business and we are grateful to Brian in particular and the Nellie's staff that supported us! People's comments ranged from "amazing" to "the best food I have ever had at a wedding" . Most importantly, we would use Nellie's again if we had the opportunity!!!! Bravo! Job well done!

I think the one thing I will always remember was the "can do attitude" at

There is not enough space in this little box to say enough nice things about Fredda, the owner of Nellie's catering. She will make sure that EVERYTHING with all of your vendors and deliveries goes well. She is calm, patient, pleasant, and you and your entire wedding party will LOVE her! I contacted just about every caterer in sarasota and NOT ONE had an all inclusive catering/wedding planning service except Nellie's! Not to mention the wedding planning is a Complimentary service. The prices were the most reasonable and the customer service....Im not sure where to begin. EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE that works at Nellie's is Amazing! You do not have to want for ANYTHING!

Fredda is the main person that gets the ball rolling. Then she passes everything over to a coordinator ( for my wedding -Cheryl P) Then the day of the wedding your coordinator and a wedding director ( for my wedding -Christie)

Cheryl recommened vendors, welcomed my ideas and made them 100% better with her suggestions.

They've mastered the primary role of a caterer; great food, but also provide a level of service that exceeds what you expect. They're caterer and event planner in one. Trisha, our primary contact, had great ideas of her own in addition to executing ours. Even the details we didn't discuss (for example the cake knife, which they decorated beautifully) was well executed. There was always someone nearby if you needed something, but they weren't overly present. Our guests commented how courteous and thoughtful the servers were as well as how much they enjoyed dinner (grouper or teriyaki chicken.) The day was truly flawless and I'm so glad I went with Nellie's. I'd also recommend Trish Richards from Nellie's to do your flowers!

Our wedding would not be a success if it wasn't for Nellie's Catering. The food was amazing!! And the amount of detail that Loren, Nina & Fredda put into the planning process is far beyond any caterer is required to. They actually care about your event and do everything in their power to make it a success. Loren even delivered us lunch while we were getting ready. Trisha, Greta, and Nina were all very helpful. Trisha was the catering manager and she did absolutely everything to make you feel at ease. I loved how from the first meeting you knew she knows her stuff. They offer a day of wedding coordinater for a phenomenal price. I highly recommend it. Her name was Greta and she is very detailed and the absolute sweetest woman I've ever met. The food was great and I was able to have an open bar on a smaller budget. They were so flexible and really catered to me on my big day. They have a prop room as well where you can use some of their decor and helped with any questions I had even if it had nothing to do with catering. There are no words that express my gratitude for all the things they've done for us.

Nellie's was wonderful! I was thoroughly impressed with everyone i worked with from Nellies. I had a very casual beach themed wedding, which included a very simple beach picnic themed menu. Nellie's created all of my centerpieces and truly transformed their event room into a great reception area. The food was fantastic and I can't say enough about how wonderful their staff was.

Fredda, Nina, Cheryl, Trisha, Words cannot begin to express the thankfulness and gratitude we feel for all of the exceptional, extraordinary effort and kindness you put forth to make Bonnie's and Justin's wedding weekend as near to perfection as possible. Thank God we chose Nellie's as our catering vendor. From our initial interactions with Nina, to the most awesome taste-testing event, to the wonderful advice for food choices to put the menus together for the rehearsal dinner, wedding reception and farewell brunch, and for all the support and professionalism of all of Nellie's staff, you are truly in a class of your own!

Part of my work responsibilities is event planning for faculty conferences/ events here at the Tepper School of Business, Carnegie Mellon University. I have to admit that it was very difficult for me to actually be the "customer" for a change--not being in charge and having to rely on your expertise. You are not only true professionals in every aspect, you bring your heart and soul to your clients, we are proof of that. What you did for us for the rehearsal dinner was a prime example of how you went the extra mile to do whatever it took to make us (especially Bonnie) so happy by executing Plan B within a very short range of time. What you did for us was exemplary, and we are so grateful to all of you. I had so many comments the whole weekend on how wonderful all the food was so all of the choices were excellent! The whole wedding day was magical, and thanks to you and you staff, you helped make Bonnie's dream come true.

We plan to come back to Siesta Key for Bonnie's and Justin's first anniversary. I am already thinking of having a catered dinner, and I will definitely get in touch with you when this transpires.

Sometimes in our lives we meet people who make a special impact and you know that you have made a special bond. You are certainly these kind of people, and we will ever be grateful to all of you. May God bless all of you, and I thank Him for the privilege of having you in our lives. Sarasota is so fortunate that it has a "gem" in the catering business. All of you brides, I highly recommend using Nellie's as your catering vendor. They will do everything in their power to make your wedding day as magical as they did for my daughter!

I worked with Nellie's Catering in Sarasota from NJ. I loved my catering coordinator, Nina. She was excellent! Her and her team were very responsive with every question and concern that I had. I had a clear vision of what I wanted and expected and they were very patient and willing to work with me.

I feel that not only is Nellie's a catering company, but a wedding planner as well. They go above and beyond the realm of catering, including printing name cards, menu's, offering "props" at no cost.... The list goes on and on.

I highly recommend this company! They did an awesome job at making my wedding day so special!

We highly recommend Nellie's for your catering needs whether large or small!!! The meal at our wedding reception was exceptional; everybody loved it!!! The staff catered to our every needs. Their attention to details from initial planning our venue to the smallest detail was above and beyond our expectation. We are so thankful to Nellie's for making our day so memorable.

Nellie's did our catering for our wedding a few weeks ago. They are AMAZING! They are great people and excellent quality. They are completely professional and take care of everything so you are not worrying about forgetting anything! Their food is delicious and they have great ideas based around your taste! They all care a great deal about what they are doing and truely want your event to be wonderful! I gave them pictures and told them ideas I had and they developed a simplistic elegance that was perfect! I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for nothing but the best!

Fredda and Laren were so amazing to work with. We didn't have to worry about one single detail on our wedding day. It was so nice to know that everything was taken care of on our special day. It was like having a personal assisntant too. Fredda did everything from fluffing my dress, to brining us drinks to pinning the flowers on the men. Not to mention, the FOOD was SOOOO YUMMY! I would definetly recommend Nellie's Catering to anyone who want's a pleasurable experience on their wedding day! It was worth every penny!

Having Nellie's cater our wedding was the best decision! They truly captured our vision. The food was FANTASTIC!!! For the main meal, we wanted southern food along the lines of a shrimp boil, and Nellie's delivered! Best collard greens we have EVER had!
They also provided a super detailed timeline of the wedding day which enabled everything to run smoothly and without confusion.
As well, they have a room full of decorations which helped saved us money on centerpieces etc.
We would definitely recommend Nellie's to EVERYONE!!

Nellie's Catering not only provided the food for my wedding, but wedding planning services as well. They were great to work with - so flexible and accommodating. They offered suggestions for things I never would have thought of. The food was delish and the staff was amazing. I knew it would be a success when I chose them and they didn't disappoint.

The Nellie's team did an AMAZING job on my wedding, I was extremely impressed. They helped me every step of the way in my wedding planning and made my wedding day perfect, I did not have to worry about a thing. For example, we realized last minute that the tuxedo rental company did not put in the best man's pants and the Nellie's team was able to provide black pants for him and it worked out perfectly. The food was excellent, as was the service and the decor that they provided. Nellie's absolutely exceeded my expectations!

Fredda(owner) & Trish, our catering manager could not have been more professional, efficient & attentive. Even during an unfortunate event in Trish's family, she attended our wedding and saw to it that everything was absolutely divine. Fredda was amazing in that she made us feel like family and that all had to be perfect. Wonderful individuals, exceptional food and display. Could not have asked for any more.

I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Nellie's catering our wedding. VALUE and PROFESSIONALISM top the list.
From my first call with them in the exploration phase to the very last moment of the reception they were warm, helpful and professional. Lauren, our catering manager, was incredibly responsive at every turn, and I can honestly say by my big day she felt like a friend. She returned every call promptly and had very helpful ideas and advice---often proactively suggesting budget savers--HUGE in my book.
Our guests could not stop talking about the food, and the tiny bit I tasted was wonderful. They were patient with my as I scheduled two tastings to make sure we found what we liked---I would recommend having an idea of what you want prior to the tasting as they will work to create what you want even outside the menu they offer. We had two tastings as I wanted to try a non-stuffed chicken--I was infinitely happy with chicken piccata we tried in the second round. Off menu they created a beautiful raw bar and artisan cheese plate for the cocktail hour that received great reviews from our guests.
The two greatest value adds they offer with catering, which I'm certain you will get no where else, are day of planning and access to their extensive prop room. Fredda, the owner, was our planner and was as organized and together as anyone I've ever worked with. We had a series of meetings and conference calls (this was a destination wedding) with her to lay out every moment of the day before and day of. She thought of things I would never have occurred to me and ensured the day went perfectly.
The prop room is filled with vases, frames, bows, flowers, candle holders, baskets, center pieces, etc which you can use at no additional cost. The entire staff seemed to be as excited as me as we began pulling items and creating a beautiful decor--and at no extra cost!
Needless to say, I believe that Nellie's was an integral part of preparing for and executing a flawless day and I would recommend them to any bride looking for the same.

You could not have asked for a better team! We did not have to worry about anything during the wedding/reception! Almost want to do it all over again!
