YES. It's bouquet to stare !

There are still some truly amazing people in this world and Janet Flowers is one of them. She turned The Oak Barn at Loyalty into my dream come true for our wedding day. The attention to every little detail, left me breathless. I swear that when I walked into the barn... time stood still, I was able to take it all in, and it is a moment I will cherish forever. It was like my very own "first look" and stunning would be an understatement ;)

Now she is coming to the rescue for my younger sister who is, let's say, having a very different wedding due to the present issues we are all dealing with, surrounding all that is COVID 19. I have to say that Janet's positive cheerful attitude towards making Catherine's day just as special as mine made us all cry some tears of joy!!!

We loved working with Janet! She has such a magnificent eye for detail, and it REALLY showed for the floral elements in our wedding. All I wanted was a TON of baby's breath, but she was able to take that simple vision and elevate it by tastefully adding just a few other elements. The end results was amazing, and she was willing to work with my budget, and edit where necessary to achieve what we wanted at a price we could afford. Additionally, she's basically the nicest person you'll ever meet. Would absolutely recommend!

Do yourself a favor and book with Janet, she is AMAZINGLY TALENTED!!! She took my vision and completely surpassed all of my expectations. We received compliments all night long on every single aspect of the flowers, they were hands down the prettiest wedding flowers ever!!! She is easy to work with, super nice and so so talented. Prior to my phone consultation with Janet, she had me come up with a Pinterest inspiration board, which was incredibly helpful in narrowing down what I was actually looking for once we actually hopped on our call. We then met her in person and she put us even more at ease by walking us around her studio and workspace and giving us a sense for what she could create for us. She and her staff (especially Cristin, who is sadly no longer working with her) were extremely responsive and really helped turn our vision into a reality. I couldn't have been more pleased with our decision to work with Janet and her team, and would highly recommend her to other couples!!

Janet and her assistant, Christen, did a FABULOUS job with our daughter's wedding on 9.12.15 at Vis Arts in Rockville, MD. I really had a tough time finding a high-quality florist who had the time to work with me -- not sure why that was -- but it was a problem at the onset. I finally came to Wedding Wire after several personal referrals which did not work out. I found Janet on Wedding Wire, went on her website and was instantly intrigued by her artistry. Once I contacted her, I knew I had found a match. She and Christen were not only lovely to work with, they came up with a very unique and contemporary approach that really matched the style of the venue AND my daughter's unique self and taste. The flowers? STUNNING, STUNNING, STUNNING! We went with a fresh, contemporary vibe which included 5 different sets of unique arrangements on 10 tables including 2 long head tables. I cannot describe how beautiful and interesting they were. She was able to mix tall and low arrangments that gave the room some drama and elegance. She was also able to repurpose our ceremony flowers for the dinner -- plus take advantage of the stunning bridal bouquets on the head tables during the dinner/party. But the most spectacular piece in my opinion was the bride's bouquet -- gorgeous red and black roses surrounded by black feathers and bling -- which completely complemented my daughter's gown, bling belt and long black gloves. It was the hit of the night -- STUNNING! Janet and Christen worked with me to fine tune and get to a budget which would work for us. I am ever so glad we invested in the flowers because they truly made the bridal party and event elegant, fresh, contemporary and young -- complementing perfectly my daughter and my tastes. Their customer service and responsiveness is outstanding. I absolutely loved working with them and I would HIGHLY recommend them. I'm so glad the other florists did not work out -- they were amazing!!

I had a wonderful experience with Nature of Design (Janet and her studio manager Christen). I was a pretty laid back bride with a small budget, and these ladies were not only accommodating, but completely brought my eccentric and jumbled ideas to life. She and her team are creative, organized, and let me even bring some of my own items instead of renting them all from her (Which saved me some money!) A lot of my trust went into her because I was using "in season market flowers" so I wasn't even sure what the final product would look like. I wanted mismatched tables, but still wanted cohesion. I wanted it simple, tasteful and get this, with minimal flowers (I preferred greenery and single stemmed flowers). These ladies did it, and made my tables look like a million bucks. Each table was a work of art itself and I noticed guests visiting each table, looking at the decor, the photo frames, etc and commenting on how beautiful and unique everything was. There was a great flow, they made sure to include all the important elements of a tablescape; good height, balance, color and cohesion were all on point. Super chill and easy to work with, but efficient and professional none-the-less. They can read the vibes of their clients well and really connect with them on a personal level. I loved working with them and highly recommend!

The bouquets and floral arrangements not only captured perfectly what we wanted they surpassed our expectations. The flowers were fresh, gorgeous and beautifully arranged in a unique and stunning display. The flowers were spectacular. The table settings extraordinary. The staff of Nature of Design were easy to work with. We could not have asked for a more lovely experience and a most beautiful setting for our daughter's wedding.

My flowers were unbelievable. I don't even know how else to describe them. I wanted calla lilies in a vase and I received the tallest (like three feet and I'm not exaggerating) calla lilies that I've ever seen. I wanted lush arrangements with floating candles and I got centerpieces that look like they should be in a magazine. She absolutely blew my mind. The bouquets were gorgeous and four days later, mine still looks as good as it did last Saturday. I can't recommend her enough. Our ballroom was one of the most gorgeous I have ever seen thanks to Janet.

The flowers for my wedding were absolutely beautiful! All of the bouquets, the table arrangements, the front table arrangements were all perfect! I had a few meetings with Janet and she was just so personable and nice! I honestly wasn't expecting to meet with the business owner which was such a great aspect of choosing Nature of Design with Janet Flowers! You can tell how passionate she is for her profession! Janet had great ideas and was completely open to what I wanted. I was able to see a preview of the table arrangement and we changed a few things so I knew it was going to perfect! Her assistants were very helpful and someone was always available for any questions. I would absolutely recommend Nature of Design with Janet Flowers!

I found Janet through a reccomendation from a venue we looked at - the coordinator there said Janet's flower were the most beautiful flowers ever and boy were they right. First, Janet is one the nicest, gracious people. At every meeting, she allowed us to change our minds multiple times and kindly make changes to our contract. We meet with her twice and had a flower demonstration with her. Additionally she came to our venue for a walk through. I wanted something different for our wedding that had not been seen at every wedding. Janet delivered beyond my wildest dreams. The bouquets for my bridesmaids were gorgeous and my bridal bouquet was just outrageous - more beautiful then I can even describe. The flowers for ceremony - again flawless. As for the reception space- I don't even know here to begin. The table arrangements were jaw-dropping - my friends literally called it "magazine worthy" - I mean they were incredible. Everyone is still telling me that they were the most gorgeous and unique flowers they had seen ever at any wedding. I'm so excited for all our photos to come back. Janet delivered beyond anything I could have ever dreamed and my husband and I are forever grateful that she was able to create something so spectacular for us to remember!

Fabulous and gorgeous! We can only say good things about Janet Flowers who created a magnificent setting for us at the Fairmont Hotel. Janet knows the room well and knows what it needs. Through the planning to the execution, she "got us". She knew how to provide what we wanted without blowing up the budget and came up with creative solutions to make the room look unique, sparkling and magical.

And…we had fun along the way! Can't wait for our pictures!

Janet Flowers designed and made the floral arrangements for our Rehearsal Dinner which was held at Sequoia Restaurant. The richness of the oranges and blues in blue vases were exactly what we hoped for but had been unable to describe. We could not be happier! The initial consultation with Janet made us feel very comfortable that we could trust her and her team to take creative liberties and come up with something that we would truly love - and they did not disappoint! The bridesmaid bouquets were one of my favorite parts - all I told her was that we wanted pinks and greens, and that I loved Peonies - otherwise, she could get creative. She arrived with 9 Peony bouquets in 3 different shades of pink ranging from light to dark, framed with big green leaves - they were absolutely gorgeous and more than I could have hoped for, and they looked stunning against the pewter colored dresses. She also surprised us by replacing what we thought was going to be a babies breath arrangement for the front table with a garden style arrangement of peonies, since she knew how much I loved them. They were a joy to work with from start to finish - we highly recommend them!!

Janet Flowers, was so much more than I had imagined! I thought I might have been to vague in terms of what I wanted for my flower choices and colors as well.... but Janet had me in completely awwww over her designs. :) It was something that you would imagine seeing in the movies, or magazines, but never did I think my wedding would look as beautiful as it did! The colors she put together (pink, teal and grey) was soooooo hard to do, but not for Janet! The variations of pinks, and purples complimented each-other so well. She tied in my Greys with sliver accents, and wrappings on the bridesmaids bouquets. I didn't want over the top flowers or centerpieces as far as flower galore, everything was just as I wanted. My card table, was different variations in heighten cylinder vases, and had different flower bouquets laid on top. So dramatic, and I LOVED IT!!! My table centerpieces dramatic, yet simple too, I had two different themed center pieces among the 12 tables. Submerged flowers, again with different vases in height, and stacked. Guest were taking pictures and wanting to know, where the ideas of mine came from, and I told them, "I left it all to the professionals!" Janet... you and your team were so great to work with, and made something I had a very hard time deciding on (flowers) so easy. Thank you for bring the decor, flowers and color to come together so nicely. Oh and I forgot to mention I had an arch and they assembled that on the spot and then were able to turn the flowers into the decoration on the buffet table, for the reception. The flowers I was able to keep and give away at the end of the night, and rented vases were returned that day and later!! Check out Janet's website, you will be so impressed! We would like to send huge thanks to Janet for her great services. She provided some amazing flower arrangements for our wedding and helped make our dream come true.

She helped us with the wedding bouquet, bridesmaid’s bouquet, boutonnieres and decorations at the wedding dinner, which were simply breathtaking. The centerpiece along with the other decorations such as rose petals and candles were wonderful and the bridal bouquet was absolutely gorgeous.
Janet was very keen to find out our preferences and taste and she also gave some great input and advice on how to get the best result. She provided some stunning flower arrangements and decorations for us that exceeded our expectations in every way.

She stuck to the budget and gave us great value for money. She is highly professional and reliable and made this part of the wedding preparations an enjoyable and memorable moment for us. The flowers were in a wonderful condition and kept fresh for a long time even though we married on a very hot day in August.

We would definitely recommend her services to others wishing to have wonderful flower decorations at their wedding or event!

I need to send a huge thank you to Janet, Heather and the amazing team at Janet Flowers Wedding and Event Designs. I came to them with a bit of a crazy idea for my wedding decor and they were not only excited to tackle the challenge but they did an absolutely amazing job taking my crazy ideas and turning them into reality!

After my initial meeting with Janet, I worked closely with Heather, who was professional and enthusiastic. I gave Janet and Heather my budget up front and they provided me an itemized proposal which included some optional extras we had discussed. Some of the extras I decided to keep and others I removed. Never once did I feel pressured to “up” my budget or pick more expensive options. After the contract was signed, the worked very closely with my budget. The was one pricing change due to the fact that I brought them way more decorations than they anticipated and as a result would need more candles than they originally quoted. They didn’t just charge me though. Janet met with me to talk about the change and our options. In the end, I decided to keep the extra items and OK’d the price change, which didn’t end up costing that much. Again, I didn’t feel pressured to make the change and I really appreciated Janet and Heather reviewed the change with me and got my OK before moving forward.

The day of the wedding, the bouquets, boutonnieres and centerpieces looked amazing! Everyone kept talking about how wonderful they were, including the venue staff! Thank you Janet, Heather and the rest of the team for taking my vision for my wedding and bringing everything together to make it a reality! I couldn’t have asked for a more creative, talented and professional group of people! Thank you again for everything!

We met with Janet eight months before our wedding with our initial vision in mind and subsequently changed a few things along the way. Wedding day flowers for the bouquets (bride/bridesmaids) were stunning and even more than we expected. Janet took into consideration the bride's allergies to flowers and used the most beautiful, less aromatic flowers and accented them superbly. The centerpieces at the reception were truly amazing and we were extremely pleased she recommended the cascading arrangements for the place card table -- such a lovely introduction for our arriving guests. Working with Janet and her staff was an experience we wish for every bride in the Washington DC area -- it was perfection as every level.

I should've known that the flowers were going to be magnificent once I found out Janet does the flowers for the Mandarin Oriental in DC, but I was sooooo blown away by how beautiful all the bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, and centerpieces turned out. We had consultations and everything but seeing it all come together was absolutely breathtaking. I thought guests only cared about the food, booze, and music, but it turns out they pay ALOT of attention to the decor as well. I'm still receiving positive feedback from all the guests on how beautiful the flowers were. I'd definitely recommend her services to other brides, especially if you care about having beautiful flowers for your wedding. I only hope that I'll have a reason to use her services in the future, I rarely get to see centerpieces that beautiful in my everyday life.

Janet Flowers provided flowers and decor for our wedding hosted in Baltimore last month. Janet and her team came highly recommended by my wedding planner, Julie Savage. They have worked together on many projects and they have fantastic synergy. I met with Janet and checked out pictures from her previous events and I was totally comfortable allowing her to take the ball. She worked with my wedding planner to create the perfect combination of flowers/colors/decor for our day! Everything was beautiful...thank you Janet Flowers.

Janet was wonderful to work with and we will definitely recommend her to friends/family for future events.

We (me, my now Husband, and my parents) met Janet at a large Bridal Show just a few months before our wedding. It was VERY intimidating being at a bridal show where everyone reacted the same way, "Your wedding is when?! Girl, you have to get going." Janet, however, was so kind and did not make us feel like we were soooo behind, which we weren't. We got everything done. The truth is, you just have to have the right vendors who work well with you and you can plan and enjoy a wedding in just a few months.

She clearly has a LOT of great experience doing large events and creating amazing pieces, so we were a little nervous about reaching out to her and asking her to do our, what we believed to be average, wedding. She told us not to worry, that we should give her a number and she will get as close to our vision as possible. So we contacted her and scheduled our consultation. Before the face to face meeting, I was in touch with her assistant. I worked with her by putting together an overview of what me and my Husband were looking for in style, our Budget, etc. That way, there were no surprises when we got down to business with Janet. Janet was great about being honest with us that she would work hard to get as close to our vision as possible, but we should keep in mind the possibilty that we may have things to scale back on. Most people would not take that well. Compromise? No way!, but in the end... Janet and her staff really do create something beautiful for you.

Janet provided a proposal that she warned us had all the bells and whistles. From there we worked with Janet and Meghan to edit so we could get closer to our budget. Honestly, as you go through this process you think, "I'm pulling a bunch of things. Is it going to look bare?" NO, NO, and NO. In the end,

Janet, Meghan, and staff created a BEAUTIFUL atmosphere for our ceremony and reception. We saw them the day before wedding day for a sneak peek, but mostly so i could drop off something special that would go in my bouquet. That was the first time I saw what would arrive on wedding day. It made me so excited! The next day, delivery was on time, nothing was missing, and the professionalism was perfect. We couldn't have been happier. We went slightly over budget, but it was worth it, and we had a little bit of cushion because flowers was something that was REALLY important to me. Important information about what Janet and Co. were able to create for us: A spectacular arch for our ceremony, various styles of center pieces that complimented each other and went well with the venue decor, boutiniere's and bridal bouquets that were adorable, and a display of flowers on our cake that made it an undeniable eye-catcher. And my bridal bouquet?... to die for. Unfortunately, i didn't salvage it properly. If i could, I would love to have Janet replicate my bouquet. Largest roses i've ever seen.

Janet and Co. know what they're doing and they are incredibly kind and honest the whole way through the process. Each time we spoke with them we felt like we had been working with them for a long time. The reality was, we met at the show, met in person, planned, and had a final proposal within 2 months. I would highly recommend them.

Not sure what everyone else is complaining about here...I had a great experience with Janet. Maybe because I was working with a wedding planner that already had a relationship with her?...Not sure but she came up with really great ideas for our reception and cocktail hour..my bouquet was gorgeous calaillies...very fresh and big!...Our centerpieces were very modern and unique....we also had a canopy designed by janet with lots of crystal and detail...all my guests loved it and I thought she did a great job. I cant speak to the responsiveness bc the wedding planner did most of that towards the end.

We used Janet and her team for my daughter's November 7th wedding and absolutely loved working with Janet and Christen! Like most MOB and Bride's we changed our vision a couple of times and Janet was flexible and worked with us until we settled in on exactly what my daughter wanted that day to look like. We also gave some creative liberties to Janet and she didn't disappoint. We had rave reviews on the florals. Thank you for helping to make our daughter's wedding "perfect"!

Janet is a floral genius. Could I have gotten a better deal with other florists I looked at ? Absolutely. But, none of them matched Janet's design knowledge and professionalism. I also had a problem with getting a florist who would understand that Old Hollywood glamour meant classy sparkle, not glitter everywhere. Janet struck the perfect balance for my vision. She typically does bigger and more expensive weddings than mine, but she was more than willing to work with me within my budget. The number of unique floral props and vases and decorations she has in her back warehouse is truly impressive. I had never seen anything like the designs she created for me. You truly get what you pay for with Janet! And I can't forget to mention her adorable dachshund that came to snuggle with me during my appointments. I received nothing but glowing reviews from all of my guests. Most of them said that they had never seen better floral arrangements and that I had the flowers of the century! Even my event coordinator was truly impressed! If you're an orchid fan but on a budget, she has the most convincing fake orchids I've ever seen. Even my husband was fooled and they were right in front of his face at our head table. I can't recommend Janet and her team enough!

Nature of Design was incredible. I really appreciated the fact that Janet Flowers worked with us. She scheduled time on the phone to discuss my vision for the wedding ceremony and reception decor when I wasn't sure what I wanted. I am not a "flowers person", so she patiently pointed out some places to look on her website, which is also excellent, by the way, and she also made sure that she set aside time for me by scheduling a time for our call and sharing her email. Her assistants were helpful in confirming decisions and next steps and I was absolutely delighted with the final products on my wedding day! The bouquets and boutonnieres were stunning! The reception flowers were lovely and professionally done, and to top it off, she helped me find options to match my budget within reason.

Janet Flowers provided the bouquets for our ceremony. The flowers were stunning and so fresh. I've been to many weddings where the tips of the flowers are starting to get a bit brown, but these were perfect. They listened to what I wanted and definitely delivered....Janet was even able to work both the sleeve of my mother's gown and my grandmother's rosary into my bouquet. Everything was delivered to us right on time and without any stress. I couldn't be happier!

Janet and her team were excellent! We booked them about a year in advance and throughout the year I made numerous changes and had tons of questions and they responded promptly! Heather is a doll and was my consultant the whole time and definitely made my vision come to life and made things work when at the last minute a couple things changed. They definitely aren't cheap but their customer service and quality is totally worth it! I am so happy I worked with Heather and Janet, it made the whole process much easier!

Beautiful flowers. Janet was a pleasure to work with. There was some slight confusing towards the very end concerning final payments, but nothing too troubling. They also did the flowers for my rehearsal dinner and that had no problems whatsoever. Would definitely recommend.

Janet Flowers did a fabulous job with my wedding flowers! I didn't have a clear idea of what I wanted going into our meeting, but she understood my vague descriptions right away, and my flowers at the wedding couldn't have been more perfect! They were very flexible; and I was able to trim a considerable amount out of the initial proposal to seriously cut the budget, and that was no problem at all! I gave a slightly lower rating for responsiveness: there was some slight miscommunication where one of her assistants kept calling me to confirm some detail that my mother had already confirmed with Janet herself, but that was no big deal, everything worked out great in the end. Thanks, Janet, for the gorgeous flowers!!

On a scale from 1 to 10 I personally rate Janet Flowers at a 10. Our arrangements, centerpieces, and bouquets were gorgeous; she, along with her staff (specifically Gaylen), were very easy to work with. We had a specific budget and they were able to work out a deal with us in which we were able to have everything we wanted (with a few budget-friendly suggestions from Janet) and stay within budget.

Janet even makes a sample arrangement close to your wedding date to make sure you like the centerpieces. For our wedding we had many handmade decorations, and Janet was great about giving us honest and tactful feedback and helping us come up with and execute a very elegant and unique vision of our wedding. She's also very talented: she made my bouquet exactly like the one I printed out from a site.

We hired Janet for our wedding at the Fairmont and had a fantastic experience working with her. The flowers were GORGEOUS!! I was relatively hands-off in terms of flowers and decor and basically told Janet what I liked and let her run with it. They did such an amazing job and I can't tell you how many compliments we received. The ceremony room looked so gorgeous that I think I shed a tear when I saw it! And they (along with Frost lighting) turned the ballroom into such a beautiful, elegant, and warm setting. They were also very flexible in working around our budget. I highly recommend them to anyone in the DC area.

We were put in touch with Janet Flowers by our wedding planner and we are thrilled with her work. She designed the perfect centerpieces for us that, even though it was an outdoor wedding, made it look elegant and fancy. Her prices were fair and she was more than willing to work with us to make her services fit our budget.

The day of the wedding, all the flowers were fresh and beautiful. I actually think she threw in some extra at the last minute... which was great. I'd highly recommend her services to anyone looking for a top notch florist.

Janet worked with me to design a centerpiece that worked very well with my vision for my event. She has a great variet of rental items to enhance your event. Due to a short engagement, I never had the chance to see a mockup of my bridal parties flowers or my own bouquet prior to the event. I told Janet what I liked and showed her a few photos - she did an amazing job and everything was better than I imagined!

The flowers were amazing. I loved my bouquet and all the table arrangements and decorations - Janet and her team did a fantastic job. They arrived early and everything went great. Also loved her crystals that she hung for the reception. Beautiful!!! Expensive but worth it.

Only negative is that Janet is very busy but her assistant was great and very responsive and we were able to set up meetings with Janet fairly easily, considering that I was planning the wedding from out of state.

Janet was very friendly and easy to work with. She was open to what I had in mind and reasonably skillful at producing boquets for my wedding party that matched up pretty well with my vision. I was a little disappointed in the flexibility and accountability of the staff as they changed my pickup time just days before the wedding after I had adjusted my schedule to fit their original request for pickup. It was not a disaster, but definitely a stress that most brides don't want to deal with right before their wedding. Overall, I was pleased with Janet's flowers, however the bouquets weren't something that I felt strongly about. I think that if having "perfect" flowers (exactly in line with what I wanted) had been important to me, I would have been disappointed. The bouquets I received from Janet's flowers were pretty, but certainly not something you'd see in a magazine.

I chose Janet Flowers because I was intrigued by the unique designs I saw on her website. Throughout my time working with them I did not always feel they were responsive. There was some miscommunication of what I thought I was asking for and what they thought I was asking for. At first, I was not happy that the bouquet I dreamed of was not the bouquet I received. But then I got back my wedding photos.
It wasn't what I was expecting, but it was soooo GORGEOUS. Being the bride, I was so overwhelmed at the wedding, and still when I first wrote this review, which I have now edited since I have had a chance to breathe... looking back, and even more ... looking at the pictures, I would say Janet nailed it. It was the perfect bouquet for me and my wedding. She's so good, she knew what I wanted before I did. Thank you Janet. The bouquet is long gone, but those photos will live on and they look fabulous.

My Mom and I had planned to DIY for the flower bouquets in my wedding, but as the time drew near, it became evident we couldn't do it all. My mom would do the bridesmaids bouquets, but my bouquet and the boutonnieres (for the guys) and corsages (for the Moms) would be a bit much. I called Janet Flowers within a few weeks of my wedding, and she was open to help within the budget I specified, which was right around $200. She did an all-white bouquet for me, like I requested (though it was a little off-white compared to my dress), and had gorgeous single-rose boutonnieres for the guys. My mother-in-law and my Mom had nice orchid corsages, though my Mom's looked a little lop-sided. If I had had more time and been more picky, I may have been slightly dissappointed, but I was happy and thankful for the last-minute help.

I went to a wedding and was floored by the floral arrangements and wanted the same effect for my own wedding, which led me to Janet Flowers. I knew what color scheme I wanted but really was looking for the professionals to suggest a look and ideas for my wedding flowers. My first 2 meetings were with an assistant who would take notes but never really gave me any suggestions, ideas, or input. I left these meetings so frustrated like it was a waste of time (this employee no longer works for Janet). When I finally got to meet with Janet, she helped out tremendously, and had some great ideas. On the day of, the wreath and ceremony flowers were beautiful, the staff was excellent, and I got a lot of compliments, although my bouquet did not turn out AT ALL like what we had discussed.

I would recommend against working with Nature of Design. I had an extremely disappointing interaction with them while planning my wedding for the end of April. I reached out to them in January to request an estimate-- our order was very humble because our ceremony was for family only. NoD design wrote back that they would be interested in providing me with the bouquet, corsages, and boutonnieres I needed, and asked that I complete a questionnaire before we moved forward with the order. I happily spent a good amount of time filling out the questionnaire and then heard.. crickets. I sent them an email to follow up. And then after a week sent another email to make sure I had done everything correctly. They literally never wrote me back. Let me tell you-- as a bride who is frantically planning a wedding on her own, this is DEVASTATING. I had held off on making plans with other florists until I heard back, so this put me behind in my schedule by a week. In addition, I really can't tell you how much it hurt my feelings to have someone ghost on me-- especially when their first email was so enthusiastic. It's possible that my $400 order was just too small for them to take on, but they could have had the decency to let me know that. I want to warn other brides ahead of time so that no one is left hanging like I was!

Complete waste of time. I spent two and half hours with Janet, going over details and talking about my wedding. She promised a proposal by the end of the following week. I followed up after that deadline past. Janet asked for a few pictures and said she would send the proposal the following Wednesday. I sent what she asked for and two weeks later haven't received a thing except silence.

I took off work early to meet this woman, drove an hour each way, spent two and half hours with her for absolutely nothing. I wasted my time, don't waste yours. There are better more professional florists.

Horrible experience, avoid at all costs.
I am incredibly disappointed by my experience with Janet and Nature of Design. The problems started early: I had to reach out multiple times to get a proposal and answers to my questions. Each time it took several weeks to get a response to my calls and emails. Janet gave plausible explanations, and I liked her designs, so I went ahead and sent the 50% deposit and contract. This was a mistake.
For the next 5 weeks, Janet did not respond to any communications. I called (2X) and emailed (3X) to confirm that she had received the contract and that we were booked for my date - without response. I finally sent her an email and certified letter expressing my concerns and asking that she release us from the contract, as no work had been done and we were still 9+ months from our wedding. Again - no response.
I called 3 more times, but it was not until I gave a different name and identified myself as a potential new client that Janet came to the phone. When I was finally able to confront her about my repeated calls, emails, and letter, she dismissed my concerns, telling me she doesn't usually talk to clients after they sign the contract until close to their wedding day. She never apologized for ignoring me.
When I pointed out why our experiences with her had destroyed our confidence in her, she dismissed my concerns. She suggested that my bank statement with a cashed check was sufficient confirmation and that this relieved her of the responsibility to respond to me when I reached out multiple times over the course of two months to confirm that our florist was secured for the wedding.
No client should be made to feel as unwelcome, unacknowledged or unanswered as she made me feel. And no bride should go through this stress when planning her wedding day. Nor should she have to forfeit a large sum of money because she made the mistake of assuming Nature of Design would care about their clients and respond to concerns.

Totally over the top... bad taste... very strong personality - will force down her 'extremely expensive' ideas down on a bride. Unprofessional. very arrogant and snobby. I would NOT recommend her at all. Luckily, I managed to find another wonderful florist at 1/10 of the price she quoted and at much better service and quality.
