Perfect wedding venue in the heart of downtown Naperville!
This historic venue was absolutely perfect for our small, intimate wedding ceremony. Krupa, the venue coordinator was incredibly responsive and made herself available for all of our questions and needs throughout the planning process and on the day itself. Can't recommend the Memorial Chapel highly enough! -

Beautiful venue
Our pictures came out amazing in this space. We mainly worked with Barbara in this process who was amazing. It is a very reasonably priced venue too. Overall we are very happy that we chose Naper Settlement! -

Summer Dream
Our wedding at Naper Settlement was nothing short of magical! From start to finish, the venue exceeded all our expectations and provided a truly enchanting setting for our special day.
The quaint and charming atmosphere of Naper Settlement made it the perfect backdrop for our celebration. The beautiful chapel was a highlight, with its timeless elegance and serene ambiance creating an ideal space for our vows. The architectural details and historical charm of the chapel provided a stunning and unique setting that we, and our guests, will remember forever.
A special mention must go to Melissa, the incredible assistant who helped make our day run smoothly. Her professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail ensured everything was perfectly coordinated. From answering our myriad of questions to assisting with last-minute arrangements, Melissa was an absolute delight and a crucial part of our wedding’s success.
The venue also proved to be a photographer’s dream. With its picturesque surroundings and meticulously maintained grounds, we captured some truly breathtaking shots that we’ll treasure for a lifetime. The natural beauty and thoughtful design of the venue provided the perfect backdrop for our wedding photos.
Moreover, the acoustics in the chapel were fantastic. The sound of our ceremony and music was crystal clear, which made the experience even more memorable for everyone involved.
In short, Naper Settlement provided an unforgettable setting for our wedding. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue to celebrate our love and begin our journey together. Thank you to everyone at Naper Settlement for making our day so incredibly special! -

Charming Ceremony Venue
The Century Memorial Chapel was the perfect choice for our wedding ceremony! The chapel looks stunning in pictures and has such a unique charm unlike any other venue in the area. The chapel stayed cool for guests on our very hot summer wedding day. The acoustics of the chapel are also incredible for live music! Melissa and Nicole were so accommodating and helpful throughout the entire wedding process, allowing us to come in and view the chapel on multiple different occasions. We would highly recommend the Century Memorial Chapel! -

I have been wanting to get married here since I was a kid! (It was always my favorite school trip haha). The chapel is beautiful and needs next to no decorations (all we had was pew bows and it was amazing). I do recommend sound, we added it last minute and were happy we did since we nearly filled the church to capacity! Our contact for day of was Judy and she was amazing! she offered suggests and the wedding went perfectly! -

We had our ceremony at the chapel, and it was the perfect place for us. They were able to meet with us quickly to show us the chapel, and the payment process was easy. There wasn't really a need to talk with them too much, but when I had more detailed questions closer to the date, the staff responded very quickly. Our day-of coordinator was very friendly and was even willing to stay a little longer during our rehearsal so that we could work all of our details in.
The historic nature and beautiful details of the chapel makes extra decoration really unnecessary, but we did spring for some lovely pew bows and an aisle runner through our florist. You cannot drop flower petals (real or fake), so be sure to have an alternative for your flower girl.
There is tons of parking, and the grounds are gorgeous. One of the best parts of the chapel is the location. We were in perfect walking distance to different photo locations along the Naperville riverwalk. -

We weren't sure we were going to find the right place for our ceremony. We wanted a non-denominational place of worship that could seat at least 150 people. It could have not have worked out more perfectly that one of the few options in northern Illinois was in our home town! The Century Memorial Chapel is adorable, seats about 200 people, has plenty of free parking across the street and is on the gorgeous Napper Settlement grounds. Some people in my wedding party felt our coordinator was a little bossy but she definitely knew what she was doing and I was more than comfortable letting her take charge. Things could not have gone more smoothly and I think our guests were very impressed. If you are looking to have an non-denominational or inter-faith ceremony in a traditional church-like setting, this place is perfect.Naper Settlement's reply:

Just perfect!! I loved having out ceremony here!! It has that quaint chapel feel and photographed beautifully!! It gave us an intimate setting while still accommodating 150 people comfortably. I also LOVED our two day-of ladies, they were truly outstanding and I was thankful for them the whole time, made the entire thing a breeze. If you want a chapel wedding but prefer to avoid the politics of traditional churches and want flexibility with your officiant this is your place!Naper Settlement's reply:

If I could sing the praises of Naper Settlement as a venue, I would. I worked with Andi as well as with Kelly, and they were both incredibly helpful. They also provided honest feedback that showed they really knew the space well, and that helped make mine and my husband's wedding absolutely spectacular. Keep up the beautiful work, ladies, and thank you so much for all that you do!Naper Settlement's reply:

Century Memorial Chapel at Naper Settlement is by far one of the most stunning historic churches in the area. Its also wonderful because you can have a non-denominational ceremony in an actual church! Becca and her staff were wonderful to work with. My questions were answered promptly, and the day of staff were very accommodating and patient. No matter what season you get married, this church is the perfect setting, as well as the surrounding grounds. I highly recommend this church to anyone searching for a ceremony site. The staff at the Naper Settlement went above and beyond anything I could have hoped for, from answering all of my many questions and helping to run what many people called the smoothest wedding rehearsal they'd ever attended to calming down an anxious bride and assisting in finding a lost cell phone after the ceremony. And of course, needless to say, the Chapel itself was truly stunning the day of the ceremony.Naper Settlement's reply:

The chapel is beautiful and seated our 165 guests with room to spare. Having access to walk around Naper Settlement to take our wedding pictures was a huge plus as we were able to have very unique settings. Everyone we worked with from Naper Settlement for this event was very helpful and professional. We priced out other ceremony locations in the west suburbs and I felt that the price for rental was very reasonable.Naper Settlement's reply:

This quaint, historic, picturesque, little chapel created the intimate wedding ceremony we longed for. On top of that, everyone we worked with was extraordinarily kind and helpful from beginning to end. A tip if you decide to have your ceremony here... it may not seem like you need a sound system, but I do recommend renting one (from a third party).Naper Settlement's reply:
Thank you for your kind words, we are proud of our staff. The chapel doesn't have a sound system, however, most of the time it seems to be ok as long as everybody speaks loud enough. I hope it wasn't an inconvenience for you or your guests. -

I had my ceremony at century memorial chapel and it was beautiful! Naper settlement let us visit as much as we'd like to get a feel for the layout and ceremony. They helped guide the entire ceremony even told the bms and gms when to walk. They were incredibly helpful even offered use of their unity candle and aisle runner if needed. The chapel also looks amazing in photos!Naper Settlement's reply:

I could not have been happier with my ceremony location! Century Memorial Chapel is charming, historic, and gorgeous. It's also elegant and cozy at the same time. The chapel felt full with my 125 guests, which I really loved--I would not have wanted to walk into a gigantic church and feel like it was empty. The chapel has the elegance of a larger cathedral space--the woodwork and ceilings are stunning, as are the stained glass--but also lets you feel close to your guests. The service at Naper Settlement was excellent, too. Heather was extremely caring and answered any questions I had, which were many, since I was planning long-distance. It seemed like she really cared about my day being special. She was great leading up to the wedding, and then, for the rehearsal and actual wedding, my coordinator Andie was AWESOME. I was nervous about corralling everyone in my wedding party and wasn't really sure when certain people should enter, where my readers should stand, etc. Andie took care of all of that--I didn't have to think about it! She has this great get-things-done personality that ensured the wedding ran so smoothly. I really felt I did not have to worry about anything because of her. Thank you Andie, Heather, and the rest of Naper Settlement for a wedding ceremony my guests could not stop raving about!Naper Settlement's reply:

WOW what can I say about it! They were amazing! I had my wedding ceremony here and it was just incredible. The way the people work to make your day the best ever is great! The assign a coordinator for you the day before and you work with her throughout the rehersal and then she puts it all in motion the day of the wedding! It really did make my day so much easier! Also, I had forgoten my unity candle and about 10 min before the ceremony, so my brother went to their gift shop at Naper Settlement and they HAD ONE!!! How amazing!? I just can't do anything but rave about the service! Then we got to take great pictures around the settlement and it was just WOW! I loved everything that day and the day of the rehersal.
Also, the library area is a great place to have your rehersal dinner. It's close, and its so beautiful! If you are going to get it catered, i'd recomend Heaven on Seven in Downtown Naperville, they did ours and it was delicious and a great deal!Naper Settlement's reply:
Thank you for your kind words. Our grounds do offer a variety of unique picture opportunities. We wish you the best! -

Since our church meets at a local high school, I was thrilled to find the Century Memorial Chapel for our wedding ceremony. The beauty and charm of the chapel helped to make our day spectacular. Century Memorial Chapel is a beautiful place to hold your wedding! It is a vintage church with hand-carved wooden pews and original stained glass. The acoustics are outstanding - we didn't need any kind of amplification for our ceremony. The staff is very professional and helpful and helped us with everything we needed. A GREAT option for anyone who wants a classic, old-school wedding venue.Naper Settlement's reply:

Beautiful venue. Very historical.
We had a boatload of snow that morning and the walks were nice and clear.
Everyone was very helpful and informative. As the mother of the bride, it helped to have someone else handling everything for me so that I could enjoy the ceremony.
There was another rehearsal before us and a wedding after us, so the time is cut a little close, but it worked. Definately a great chapel to hold a wedding.Naper Settlement's reply:

We recently had our wedding at Naper Settlement, in downtown Naperville. It was charming, efficient, and, oh, so beautiful! As well-kept historical site, there were so many options for great pictures. Some of the guests we encountered before the grounds closed to the public were a little rude, but the overwhelming help from the Naper Settlement staff off set that (what can you do?!)
Our ceremony was the Century Chapel. It sits 175, which is about the number of guests we had. It was full without being crowded, and again, so awesome for pictures. Also, the acoustics were great. We did not use a sound system but the two violins and officiant were well heard.
Cocktail hour and group photos directly following on the brick patio near the church was so much fun. Then, up the small hill to the tent we rented for the reception. Keeping everything moving, and in the same location, was a huge asset for the flow of the day. We are still hearing rave reviews from our guests!
Only drawbacks? Due to it's historical nature, there are a handful of limitations to be mindful of. Nothing too crazy, but still important to be aware. Also, as it is only an event venue, a wedding here takes a bit of extra coordinating (tent, caterer, dj, ect) However, as we love that stuff, we had fun with it. Oh, worst part, Naperville says music has to be off by 10 pm. Again, though, did not impact the awesomeness of our day!
Highly recommend taking a look. The venue is a dream!Naper Settlement's reply:
Thank you for taking the time to review us, we appreciate your kind words. We wish you both the best! -

Our ceremony was held at Century Memorial Chapel at Naper Settlement, and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful location. Because it is a historical building, there are some stringent guidelines in place for what can and can't be done as far as rituals and decorations go; however, none of this was a problem for us. The staff at Naper Settlement was always willing to answer our questions or let us see the chapel "just one more time." Catherine B., the manager, also went above and beyond her responsibilities in approving a friend of ours to play the chapel's organ (he is a professional organist). She also ran our ceremony rehearsal as well as the actual ceremony. Everything was extremely organized; she eased everyone's mind about how our big event would pan out.
As an added bonus, we received a free year pass to Naper Settlement about two months after our wedding!Naper Settlement's reply:
We strive to make sure every couple has the best experience possible. We do have certain guidelines to follow with the chapel being part of the museum, but we always try to have ideas to make it be everything and more the couple imagined for their special day. -

Its beautiful and you really don't need to add much in terms of decorations. Wonderful venue for a smaller wedding. We had about 80 guests and the chapel felt full even though it holds something closer to 150-200. Beth, the chapel attendant was great. She was at the rehearsal, helping with every detail and was also there the day of moving things right along and helping the various vendors. In terms of flexibility, you get your 2 hour time slot and that's it so you have to make sure things keep on track. They book several events within the same day so its understandable and by no means are they rushing you out the door. We probably would have stayed a bit longer for pictures, but other than that you really don't notice the time slot.Naper Settlement's reply:
Thank you for your sweet words. We wish you all the best. -

The pricing was slightly higher that I thought it would or should be. We got married off season and it was clear they were not going to have an other events that day. Because we wanted a time that was in between two time blocks, they made us pay for both time blocks. It worked out fine, but was kind of annoying.Naper Settlement's reply:
I apologize for any misunderstandings. The two time slots were purchased due to the extra time requested for time to get ready and indoor pictures. We wish you all the best! -

Century Memorial Chapel was a fantastic venue to have a wedding if you're looking for a traditional setting without the religious affiliation. Not only did we have the use of the chapel for both our ceremony and the rehearsal, but we were able to take pictures throughout Naper Settlement which provided a unique and fun backdrop for our wedding photos. Beth, the rental attendant we had, was also fantastic. She was very understanding the evening of our rehearsal especially since we had some issues crop up, and worked with us patiently and professionally. The day of the wedding, she was a fantastic help as well.Naper Settlement's reply:

We picked this chapel because of it's beautiful stained glass windows and antique look, as well as the location (we met and were engaged in downtown Napervillle, so it seemed fitting). It's so pretty you don't need decorations. It was also close enough for us to walk over to the riverwalk for photos after the ceremony. The assistant (Andee?) was very helpful and ensured that everything went smoothly. She really made it more perfect than it would have been, and went above and beyond. I was very grateful for all her help. I only gave a 3 for flexibility because the original day we wanted to marry wasn't available even though we reserved a year in advance, and it wasn't very easy to set an appointment for us to test the music beforehand. We were planning a casual ceremony so did not schedule a rehearsal, but my friend who was going to play piano wanted to test it out and see how many steps to the altar for the music timing, and they only gave us a short mid-afternoon window during the week, which meant taking time off work, and then we had to wait for groups of children on field trips and sneak in in between them. Other than that small issue this place was perfect for us, and we had a beautiful ceremony.Naper Settlement's reply:
We are very proud of our staff. I’m sorry the time you originally wanted wasn’t available. We try to be make sure that couples are able to come in and test decorations or sound as much as they need to. I apologize that your piano player didn’t really get as much time as they would have liked. -

Beautiful location for a wedding. Parking was a bit confusing for guests even when we provided a detailed map. We enjoyed the intimacy of the chapel. The chapel was filled with friends and family, not just the first pews if we had decided to have our ceremony in our parish's church.Naper Settlement's reply:

Naper Settlement - Century Memorial Chapel was the PERFECT place for me and my husband to get married! The atmosphere and ambience was beyond amazing! There was barely any need for extra decoration in the chapel because the chapel is so untique by itself!
The staff was extremely friendly and very responsive to any emails/calls that I made!
My only feedback to Naper Settlement would be to relook at the cost to rent the chapel. The cost is only for 2 hours and then extra time is additional cost- which I ended up getting. When paying that the two hour cost + even with the additional time, it was unfortunate that there was such a time constraint (because there can be up to 3 weddings on one day)- it made the time before & after feel really rushed and not as enjoyable as I would have liked.
I highly recommend this venue!

Naper Settlement is beautiful. This is the main reason why we chose this venue. It is a little bit expensive and they do charge more if the wedding date falls on a holiday weekend. They do provide an attendant on the day of your rehearsal and the day of the wedding. While an accompanist nor a clergy person is provided, they do provide a comprehensive list of recommendations. Also, keep in mind that it is a wooden chapel and therefore no candles except for the unity candle are allowed.Naper Settlement's reply:

It's a beautiful chapel to be married in. We wouldn't have chosen anywhere else. However, there are several things that you cannot do on the premises, so be sure and check into the list of what you "cannot do" before you make your deposit.Naper Settlement's reply:
Our chapel is part of a history museum so we do have some restrictions that we have to follow to be sure we preserve the chapel. I hope we were able to help you come up with other ideas for things you may have wanted to do, but couldn't do because of the restrictions. -

Everyone at the Settlement that was involved with taking care of details, payments and coordination of the Ceremony at the Chapel did a good job! I loved that the Bridesmaids and myself could touch up our makeup, etc. in the basement of the Chapel before the Ceremony. It's an old Gothic Chapel with character and lovely stained glass windows. I recommend this as a place to get married because of it's uniqueness. -

We had our ceremony at Century Memorial Chapel and it was absolutely beautiful! Andy was our wedding Cordinator and was wonderful to my groom and I! However, our guests and bridal party had many complaints about her rudeness and arrogance. There were thunderstorms that day at our wedding, which of course threw everything off schedule and she refused to let us leave for bridal party photos until we got to 2 candelabras out that the photographer forgot to grab for us. My husband had paid an extra $50 to the Carillon belltower across the street, where he proposed, for our bridal party photos and we missed that appointment all because of two candelabras she refused to let go you even though we had guests offering to turn around and come back just to get them.
Other than all that, the chapel is beautiful and our ceremony was wonderful and truly blessed and I'm incredibly thankful! One other thing to consider is they do not allow any type of flowers to be sprinkled on the floor, dry, silk, real, fake. Instead we just had our flower girl carry a sign that says "Here comes the bride".

I loved the setting and the chapel. Everyone that came thought it was gorgeous. They had originally lost our contract but we worked it out and everything was still ok for our planned date. They were flexible with us having to change our rehearsal time a few times due to travel schedule. Our wedding planner on the day of the wedding was great. They really let you design the perfect wedding. The setting outside made for wonderful pictures too. If I had to do it all over again I would get married here again!Naper Settlement's reply:
Thank you for your kind words! I'm sorry that your contract was originally lost, and I'm glad we were able to get everything worked out. We try to be flexible and allow couples to change their reheasal times if needed because we know things can change. We wish you the best! -

This is a beautiful location. The chapel is a little dark though, so be prepared for most pictures, except your professionals to not turn out perfect. They book in 2 hour blocks, which doesn't give a lot of time for pictures afterwards, which is a little upsetting. I wouldn't trade it though, since it was a wonderful and historic location.Naper Settlement's reply:
We are glad you were happy with the location of your ceremony. Couples are allowed to bring in additional lighting if they feel like it will be to dark for their pictures. Best wishes! -

We LOVED the chapel. I chose this place because I admired it on a previous field trip with my students. The interior is outstanding. The price is reasonable compared to the other contender on our list. Now, the professionalism of the staff member we worked with was subpar. She was very sweet when I talked to her over the phone, but she had a bit of a rude disposition at rehearsal. She was butting heads with my officiant (who I believe was able to take charge of what we envisioned). On top of this, my grandmother fell on a bump in the entrance rug and she never inquired about whether she was ok or not. I asked if the rug could be removed (since we had many elderly guests) and the answer was NO. I don't see how this would have harmed anything since it was NOT raining. Overall, the venue was great though.Naper Settlement's reply:

Overall, having our wedding ceremony at Naperville Settlement Chapel was great! We loved the intimate setting with the character-filled chapel. The attendant assisting us that day was very helpful initially, calling us a few weeks before and bringing up great points that we hadn't event thought about yet. Our guests loved the unique setting!
The value, however isn't fabulous. It is essentially $1,000 for 3 hours use of the chapel. We didn't like the times offered for the chapel use. It almost forces your ceremony to be at an odd time (for example, our ceremony was at 3:45pm). Due to the fact that they have Friday weddings as well, if you have your rehearsal on that Friday night before, it's pretty late at night. You have to host your rehearsal dinner before the actual rehearsal, which is a bit odd.
Maybe it was our photographer or maybe it's the dark/ poor lighting of the chapel, but our chapel pictures didn't turn out great. The outdoor pictures on the grounds were drastically prettier and more flattering.
The only complaint from our guests about the venue was that apparently the attendant didn't "allow" our young nieces (ages 7 and 10) to pass out the bubbles to our guests, as they had been excited about doing.
Overall, it was a beautiful setting and very memorable. Value and flexibility could be improved.Naper Settlement's reply:
We are pleased that you had an overall great experience. We have changed a few things with the Friday night rehearsals so they can now begin a little earlier than they used too. It can get a little dark in the chapel if it’s storming or evenings, but we encourage couples to talk to their photographers about bringing in additional lighting if they are concerned about the light in the chapel. We apologize about your nieces not being able to pass out the bubbles to your guests. I’m not sure why this happened, but if you would call the office we would like to talk to you more about it. -

Mixed review
Very professional and helpful when picking out the venue. Was very pleased at first. The people we had helping for our rehearsal and actually wedding were not nearly as professional or helpful and appeared to be very inexperienced. -

I loved the chapel that we were married in, and we were able to do the decorations that we had in mind. The only downside was that they failed to tell us that there would be an outdoor concert going on right outside our chapel. The music drowned out our piano and made it difficult for our guests to hear the ceremony. On the upside, however, they had already decided to refund our money before my mother could call the next day. Overall, it was a good experience and the building was beautiful.Naper Settlement's reply:

Come here and you absolutely fall in love with the chapel. As my guests put it "a chapel from a storybook." A very unique and beautiful location. The photos you will get from this place are AMAZING! However, they are very strict when it comes to their time slots. I heard stories of brides being rushed so they do not go over their time. Our ceremony was short (20-25 min), for the recessional we were rushed down stairs and were told not to come back up until the chapel was cleared of guests. I thought that meant we were going to be doing a receiving line outside...NOPE! It was probably about 20 mins before our time was up and we were being rushed out. This gave our guests absolutely no time to see us or congratulate us at all. During the rehearsal we acted like it was raining because there was a chance, but I was under the impression if it wasn't raining we could go outside ( It wasn't raining outside at the actual wedding) Many of my family members felt Andi (our rental attendant) was rude and rushed throughout the entire ceremony. I will give credit where it is due and she did help us redo the pew decorations because they were falling down. My photographer tried to rush through photos that took place in the chapel because he also did not like the attitude that was displayed. I would be careful booking here, and maybe request a different rental attendant if possible. -

Strict Timelines
While the individuals we worked with were wonderful (thank you Judy!), booking the venue was kind of a mess. They wanted the full payment within 2 weeks of placing the deposit (wedding was 16 months out at the time of booking), they don’t allow you to choose the rehearsal time, you only get a strict 2 hour time slot to setup the chapel, let everyone in, start the ceremony, and take pictures otherwise you have to pay extra for every added 30 minutes, and the time slots for the ceremonies aren’t necessarily ideal (in my opinion). -

The Naper Settlement chapel is a beautiful setting for a wedding ceremony. Our wedding coordinator was very helpful, and had a lot of great suggestions for how to organize our ceremony. I felt at times like she was trying to overpower our Pastor during the rehearsal though, but they ended up working very well together and put together a very good plan of action for us.
Pros: they provide a wedding day coordinator who is also present at the rehearsal, and ours gave some very helpful insights and tips. It is a beautiful chapel and needs little or no decoration.
Cons: It is a tad pricey ($625 for our Friday afternoon ceremony for a 2 hour timeframe- though since nobody else had a wedding that day they were pretty flexible with the time we spent in the chapel). They have very strict rules regarding decoration (i.e what you can hang on the pews, etc), you cannot throw ANYTHING in the chapel (no flower petals real or fake), and you can only blow bubbles or throw birdseed outside the chapel. Also, there were thunderstorms forcasted for our wedding day, and they were adamant that they would NOT open the front door if it rained because they didn't want water getting in the chapel. So we would have had to enter/exit from the basement. Luckily that didn't happen. We had very little contact with them from the time we paid (full payment is due upfront) until I called them a week before the wedding with questions. When I called them it was always several hours to a day or more before I got a response.
I think Naper Settlement is a beautiful place for a wedding, and I recommend it with the caveat that you know what you're getting into before you sign the contract. Their number one priority is historical preservation of the building, so if you're ok with not having a flower girl tossing rose petals in the church, and the like then it's a great place for a wedding.Naper Settlement's reply:
We are happy that your rental attendant was helpful during your rental. I’m sorry if you felt at any time they were overpowering. Since we are a history museum the preservation of the chapel is very important. We try to offer other ideas instead of flower petals such as having the flower girl carry a bouquet of flowers, hand fresh cut flowers to the people on the ends or carry a sign that says here comes the bride. I’m not sure where it came from about the front door not being able to be opened during rain or thunderstorms, but we can open the doors at anytime no matter what the weather is. I apologize for any miscommunication on that end. I apologize for any delay in responses that you received. We work hard on making sure we respond as quickly as we can to any inquiries or questions that you may have. Thank you for taking the time to review us! -

Would not recommend
It's obviously that Naper settlement is a beautiful unique chapel to get married at and that is why people have their ceremony there, I chose it also because it's right next to Elements where i was having me reception at and the red carpet with my favorite- stained glass, but the problem was the one year of planning going into a shitshow in 5 minutes.
In the beginning of booking I talked to Nichole, she is really nice we had everything planned out(mainly bride & groom pictures on naper settlement grounds prior to wedding) and in conversation asked her if it was okay to not open chapel doors until 3pm exactly because we are taking pictures inside really quick in front of stained glass before it gets dark, and that was fine she said. Unfortunately, nichole took another position in naper settlement so she was no longer available and for anything else during the time I was directed to a Melissa which wasn't much because it was about 4 months prior to my wedding. I met with Melissa ( & another younger women i never seen before) at the Chapel again with my family to show them the chapel and again went over everything with her that I wanted, pictures on grounds and not opening doors till 3pm, they said that is fine.
A few days before the wedding I get a call from now ANOTHER women I have never heard of Barbara who has then again no idea what is going on and is trying to plan again what will happen on my wedding day??? She stated no one can be on the grounds prior to take pictures because they have a event, blah blah blah, eventually that got fixed after I told her she is now ruining photographer plans that's have been made months in advance & i have told this to 3 people now. After she talked to her manager (who I again have no idea was??) she called me back to say that was fine all of a sudden and they will have someone there. I have no idea who is running this place it's like playing telephone honestly. Finally, on wedding day my groom & I are pulling up in car at 230pm and there are guest going into the chapel!!! It was UNBELIEVABLE. We sat in the car for 5 minutes wondering what is going on, and i got so mad i started to tear up. My one of my best man got mad stormed in & him and our Reverend had to tell guest to go downstairs so we can take pictures. And yet AGAIN, there was another women we have never seen that was there with Barbara. Who now I am assuming opened the doors. It was a MESS. So no, I will never recommend naper settlement to anyone since they cannot acknowledge 2 simple request when we paid $1300, for them shuffling around people who have no idea what is going on. I shouldn't have to start brand new stories of what is going to happen with multiple people, get it down the first time. My advice to others is make sure they write everything down in the contract to a T & make flash cards for them because they will surely fuck up a special moment for you. -
