Luna Belle is the BEST
I am SO happy I went with Luna Belle for my wedding hair and makeup! Their team was AMAZING from start to finish, and I could not have been happier with how everything turned out.
Morgan did my hair and she is seriously a PRO, especially with extensions. She created the most beautiful half-up style, and it held up perfectly throughout the entire day and night. I got so many compliments on my hair!
Shannon did my makeup and she is incredible. I wanted a natural, elegant bridal look that still felt like me, and she absolutely NAILED it. My makeup looked beautiful both in person and in photos without feeling heavy or overly done. I felt so beautiful and confident on my wedding day.
Both Morgan and Shannon were so professional, kind, and easy to work with. They listened to what I wanted and made me feel completely comfortable on such a busy morning.
I actually originally booked a different local hair and makeup company, La Di Da, but after my trial I wasn't completely satisfied, especially considering the price. I decided to switch to Luna Belle, and I am SO glad I did. It was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding!
I honestly cannot recommend Luna Belle enough. They made me feel absolutely beautiful, and I was so, so happy with my final look! -

The artists at Luna Belle did an amazing job with my wedding hair and makeup, as well as the hair and makeup for my 8 bridesmaids, the mother of the bride, and the mother of the groom. Alajai and Richelle did my bridal hair and makeup for both the wedding day and an extra photoshoot and I couldn't have been happier! They listened to me and did exactly what I wanted and I received SO many compliments on both the hair and the makeup. The wedding party also looked fantastic, thanks to Alajai, Richelle, Lauren, and Laura. All of my girls were incredibly happy with their looks and I am so glad we used Luna Belle!
The only negative comment I have is that there were some communication issues leading up to the wedding day with the owner/administrative assistant (asking the same questions repeatedly, getting the time wrong when mocking up the timeline, for example), but we worked through this and the artists arrived on time when I needed them and did an amazing job!! They also commented that this is likely a temporary issue and would hopefully be improved by next season. -

I hired Luna Belle Beauty for hair and makeup for my wedding on November 2, 2024 at the Tahoe Ridge Resort. The ladies were extremely professional and helpful when getting my bridesmaids, mothers, and myself ready for the big day. The makeup looked absolutely amazing and suited the aesthetic of the wedding. The hairstyles were perfect as well. Being the bride, my hair and makeup was exactly what I was hoping for. I would absolutely recommend Luna Belle Beauty for other wedding/events! -

Everything Ran Smoothly
Months prior to my sister's wedding we found out, the makeup artist and hair stylist would only be able to do the bride's due to time restraints for an early wedding. Upon the recommendation from Amanda, the wedding photographer, I reached out to Luna Belle Beauty. Their website was easy to navigate. I got in contact with them making sure it was okay that it was just going to be for the mother of the bride and maid of honor as well as an early morning start time. Once that was understood and agreed upon, they sent over a price list which I thought was priced reasonably. There were no surprises. Everything was laid out to us. We knew how much was due, when and how. In the time leading up to the day, they kept us informed with tips and suggestions to make the day go by smoothly.
On the day of the wedding which was held at Emerald Bay State Park in Lake Tahoe, California, Laura, our hair stylist and Richelle, our makeup artist arrived at our hotel promptly at 4:30am. The hotel gave them access to the parking garage. Once they got all set up my mom and I each took turns in their chairs. Each of the ladies asked us what our vision was and what we wanted accentuated. They each brought it to life. Richelle made sure my super sensitive skin didn't get irritated. They finished with both of us before 6am. My sister had absolute praise for your ladies' work. Loved it -

Everything went absolutely perfectly! I couldn’t have asked for a better group of girls to start our day off with. Ali and Alajai were both so positive and fun! It really made the morning a blast! I am typically a high stress person, but they were so calming and punctual. My family said they have never seen me that relaxed and were shocked it was on my wedding day!
My hair and makeup were absolutely stunning! I felt so gorgeous! It lasted all day too! I didn’t even touch it up after snowboarding before the reception. I am absolutely shocked with how long it lasted! We were up until 4am and it still looked good! -

I hired Luna Belle Beauty for the hair and makeup trial and wedding day hair and makeup for my entire bridal party and moms in January at Sunnyside in Tahoe City. They traveled all the way out to the venue the day before my wedding to do the trial, went through all of the pinterest inspiration photos with me that I had sent in advance, and really listened to the overall look and natural style that I was going for. On the wedding day, these ladies did a great job doing hair and makeup for all the moms and my bridal party bridesmaids, and everyone looked gorgeous with natural-inspired looks that still shone in photos and felt comfortable and beautiful for the entire wedding ceremony, reception, and after party. Highly recommend them for your Tahoe wedding hair and makeup needs! -

Morgan and Jacki at Luna Bell beauty were amazing! They fit right in with all of the girls on the day of, there was no awkwardness and they were very professional and fun. They both gave me the exact look I was looking for, I have never felt so beautiful! I would highly advise doing a trial, I have extremely long, fine hair that doesn’t hold curls, and very dry skin, so the trial was absolutely necessary to find the right products and style that worked and would last all day. My hair stayed in place perfectly, and my make up did not smudge at all, while still looking natural. They both listened and gave me exactly what I wanted and I couldn’t ask for anything more. Thank you Jacki & Morgan! I had 8 ladies getting hair and make up done and everyone looked fabulous and was ready on time! -

Flawless Execution
My husband and I relied heavily on reviews, websites and social media accounts to book vendors for our destination wedding. I booked Luna Belle because of their elevated, natural hair and makeup styling. I am a person that daunts a bare face more often than I do a full face. Naturally, I was nervous about my glamorous wedding day look. Kristina, our makeup artist, flawlessly executed my natural glam look, leaving me feeling confident and beautiful on my wedding day. Not to mention, my mom/MIL and sis/SIL looked absolutely stunning. Laura styled our hair. Again, a spot on match with the inspiration we shared and it lasted the entire evening. I cried almost immediately after getting my makeup done and to my sister/MOH's surprise no water mark or trace of tears could be found. Needless to say I did not worry about my hair or makeup all evening, leaving me to enjoy, dance and eat the night away! Thank you, Luna Belle, for setting me up with two amazing, talented artists. -

Simply Amazing!
Highly recommend Luna Belle! Richelle and Ali were amazing. They were on time, professional, and most importantly - masters at their craft. They were personable, patient, and accommodating. Mandy & Emmy are just the best! Each of my bridesmaids had a different look and feel they wanted, and the Luna Belle Beauty struck the perfect tone! Mandy traveled to Tahoe for my trial and wedding day and worked with me to get the look I wanted! The makeup enhanced my looks, but I still felt like "me," and my hair was the perfect mix of classic meets beachy/casual. I would go with LLB many times over! -

I hired Luna Belle Beauty for my Elopement day at Lake Tahoe. Morgan did our hair and makeup, for myself and my best friend-witness. I sent a moodboard with hairstyle and makeup inspiration in advance and I truly believe Morgan nailed it. I felt so beautiful! And pictures look amazing. Morgan was also very nice. Dear Luna Belle team,
I just want to give a BIG shoutout to the girls that helped my bridesmaids and I get ready for my special day!
I got married November 12, 2022 at Resort at Squaw creek in North Lake Tahoe. (Destination wedding)
What was suppose to be a fall wedding turned into a winter snow storm wedding, needless to say it was BEAUTIFUL!
Despite the weather conditions, everyone did an amazing job making this wedding one to remember! It literally reminded me of a snow globe, or a hallmark movie.
I want to give a HUGE shoutout to our hairstylist, Nicolle.
who did an AMAZING work on myself (the bride) my bridesmaids, moms and flower girl hair!!! She was super sweet and so fun and easy to work with and talk to, she knows her stuff! I can’t thank her enough for rocking it in this snow globe of a wedding, we appreciate it and highly recommend her!
I also, would love to give a HUGE shoutout to our wonderful makeup artist Shannon. She killed it doing all of my girls makeup, myself included!
She was so sweet and really took the time to make sure we all looked beautiful for this special day! I had airbrush makeup, and I will say I was really impressed with it, especially since I had never had it done.
She did a fantastic job and can’t thank her enough as well for sticking it through this snowglobe of a wedding day!
Can’t wait for our pictures to come out, so I can share the talent that Nicolle & Shannon have and so everyone can see what A-M-A-Z-I-N-G work they can do!

A thoroughly enjoyable experience!
I worked with Kara and Hannah (Level 1 artists) on the main day and for the trial - and they were amazing! The trial was well worth it as we tweaked my look before the day so it was extra special! I was nervous about the whole thing and they made it all so easy. Having constant contact with the group through their online portal also took the stress out of the experience before our big day. My bridesmaids also looked amazing and we all had a fun morning drinking coffee and eating breakfast while getting ready. We were in our own room so we really could relax and chat. I got married in beautiful Lake Tahoe and these three gals, hair/makeup/spray tan, were so accommodating and wonderful to work with. They made my bridal party and myself look and feel gorgeous. They made it easy to coordinate and even switching location last minute due to issues with air bnb’s wasn’t an issue at all. It was nice not to worry about one thing during my bridal prep! Kristina did make-up for my engagement shoot, my bridal trial, and my wedding! She is an amazing soul and I thoroughly enjoyed working with her. Wonderful experience!
We had a small wedding in Yosemite with our parents and siblings. Nancy and her hair partner traveled to our airbnb in the park to do hair and makeup for me and the other women (6 people total) and we had such a wonderful experience. Beautiful work and lovely team!
The appointed hair and makeup team that helped me on my big day were so fantastic! They came up to our very secluded hard to find cabin. Shannon worked wonders on my makeup and provided a look just as I asked for. Tallie did the most beautiful updo just as I hoped and it stayed very secure through the whole day! Felt like an absolute princess thanks to them and they were very easy to chat with and made it a really fun experience! Would highly recommend. -

Micro Wedding
Nancy and Keema were incredible to work with. Not only did it feel like I was hanging out with my girlfriends, but they nailed it with my makeup and hair.
I started off with a trial run which produced absolutely beautiful work! I tried on my dress after my trial run and realized it wasn't what I was envisioning together. They took my notes/ thoughts from that to ensure my wedding day was perfect! It was more than I could have ever imagined.

Nancy is everything that you’re looking for in a makeup artist: calm, fun, creative, attentive, intelligent, and the ultimate professional. As a planner, I understand that every bride is looking for something different and that makeup can be such a personal aspect of the day that can make or break your confidence as you face + embrace all of the butterflies and roller coasters of the day. I am always impressed by how Nancy can skillfully create so many diverse looks on different personalities, skin types, face structures, and more! She is also calm under pressure (like a diamond in her element), and has never let me down in regards to staying on time for the day. I’ve focused on her makeup services so far, but I should add that her team also does fantastic hair magic! Time after time brides rave that she is such a great value for the level of skill she has, out-performing even the highest of expectations. Hire her! Perfection
Artists all listened carefully and customized makeup for the wants of all of the maids and myself. They did an amazing job with my hair -- I have an undercut on one side and wanted a warrior braid along the shaved edge but really did not know how to explain what I wanted. They nailed it and gave me a perfect glamorous but edgey do. Make up was also on point and looked natural and awesome even in the bright sun on the mountain at the venue location. They were right on time, super friendly, and did an excellent job. I could not be happier with my choice. -

Nancy uses top quality make up products that last for many hours. The make up she did for me in the morning lasted all the way until the next morning, and it still looked nearly perfect.
I would definitely recommend getting your hair and make up done by the ladies at Nancy Rice Artistry because they take the time to plan with you before big event. She even had me send her a photo of my face so that she can tell me a good color pallet to use for my make up. I sent her photos of what I would like to look like on my wedding day, and not only did she execute it perfectly, but she customized the colors to what would look best on me.
The ladies at Nancy Rice Artistry are super talented, easy going, and genuine. I would definitely get my hair and make up done by them again. -

She was very easy to talk to - with her also being a mama, we clicked and shared motherhood stories as she did my makeup. She made me not only look pretty, but made me feel pretty too. I never wear makeup and go for the natural look, and she did just that plus giving me a pop of color on my lips. It was just the pampering I needed to put a pep in my step. Little had I known that day was the beginning of a heart warming friendship.

Julie (the wedding coordinator) was so helpful in making sure I was able to do a hair and make-up trial when I was in town for a weekend, as well as set up all my bridesmaids who needed hair and make-up. Shannon (my make-up artist) was very helpful in texting me what I needed to buy for retouching my make-up. I showed her photos of what I wanted and she made me look so beautiful on my wedding day. Melony (my hairstylist) was very talented. I showed her a video of how I wanted to do my hair and she just did it flawlessly and even better than I expected. I had her stay a few more hours to do a hair change and she would retouch me whenever needed (since it was raining that day). Luna Belle Beauty team was a joy to work with and I can't thank them enough for making me and bridesmaids beautiful on such a special day. -

I can start with this - I am not a makeup girl. I do love looking made-up, but was nervous about getting makeup done on my wedding day. Nancy exceding any expectation of what I makeup artist is capable of. She made me feel like a princess without globbing on cheap eyelashes and purple eyeshadow. I felt like I was fresh out of the beach, but like my makeup actually stayed on after leaving the water, it was perfection. Keema did my hair and she and I actually scheduled a hair cut and die before the wedding. She calmed my nerves and helped talked me through right before walking down the aisle. 10/10 would recommend Nancy Rice and her crew! -

The artists were exceptional! They were timely, professional. They really listened to what each girl wanted and made sure it was executed to accomplish the vision.
In comparison to the other vendors we hired for our wedding the administrative side of the business was a little more difficult to deal with and not as warm as others that we hired.There was issue with settling contracts/scheduling because they kept getting number of services we needed incorrect. But after some back and forth, they got everything sorted out. They took quite a while to respond to emails, which can be frustrating when you are trying to plan such a big event - again, this was in comparison to all the other vendors who I hired for our wedding who were quite responsive and seemed happy to work with us/welcomed our business. With these issues, I was worried about the quality of the artists but they were wonderful and exceeded expectations! -

This review is for the company as a whole. If the owner reads this, I would like them to reach out to me to discuss my experience. I was unable to get a hold of anyone to get in contact with someone other than the admin person.
Administration Side ⭐ Overall, the whole experience left me frustrated and anxious. They lacked communication, follow-through, and customer service. In short, after I signed a contract, it took a month of exchanging 20 emails to get anything scheduled/confirmed. This included me requesting 3x's for available dates and times for a trial, and sending 3 follow-up emails after a 3-5 day wait for a response from the company (not including the weekends). I also had an issue with not receiving the invoice in a timely manner. They did not request a deposit once my wedding date was reserved, nor did they provide me an invoice with the remaining balance 15 days prior to my event. Rather, I received the full invoice through an email at 9:00am and a 1:00pm reminder that payment was due THAT day 10 days prior to my event. Note: My original artist had a family emergency. This may have impacted the admin's ability to schedule things in advance, but I do not accept this as an excuse. I was left hanging and left wondering 90% of the time.
Hair & Makeup Artist ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Morgan was great. For not having a trail with me, she made me feel/look beautiful. I showed her some inspirational photos and she did well replicating the looks. I appreciate her for agreeing to come last minute to be there for my day.
