She’s the best!

Nancy did my makeup for my wedding in June and she did not disappoint! She is so good at what she does. She’s so knowledgeable, sweet, efficient, and friendly. I highly recommend hiring her! She does do off-site work but also has a gorgeous studio that’s perfect if you live in the Huntsville are and want “getting ready” pictures. My makeup lasted all day and she even gave me some touch up (that I never had to use).

Nancy is a fantastic makeup artist. She made me, my bridesmaids, the MOB and MOG all look flawless on my big day. Nancy was an absolute joy to work with and I would recommend her to anyone. :)

There is not enough time for me to properly detail how amazing Nancy is...but I'll try. For years I had always seen and heard about her amazing work. It wasn't until my wedding that I was fortunate enough to experience it. There are so many reasons why Nancy is so well known. It's not just the amazing job that she does, it is also because of how much she truly cares and is willing to do whatever it takes to meet and excel past your expectations. It also doesn't hurt that she isn't trying to rob you blind with her prices :) For my wedding she even got up early to drive to Nashville, TN. She didn't rush through everyone to race back home either. She worked at a pace that made us all feel comfortable and made us know that we were the priority. If I ever need makeup services again (in that area) I will definitely use Nancy!...forever and for always.

Nancy did the make-up for my wedding and I could not have been happier with the results. She was accommodating and flexible with our crammed schedule. Also, she was so easy to talk to and she was so friendly to all of my bridesmaids. She stayed until it was time for me to go because she wanted to make sure my make up was perfect. My make-up has never looked so good!! You can't go wrong with Nancy :)

Nancy is an amazing artist and person. She has a great personality and makes you feel very comfortable. She tells you everything she is doing and why. She travels anywhere you need her to and she's not afraid of a challenge when it comes to travel either. She is truly an amazing person all together and takes pride in what she does.

Nancy did an incredible job on my wedding makeup. I'm not one to wear a lot of makeup, but I had a beautiful/glamorous wedding makeup idea in mind. She worked with me on my trial to find a day-of look that was perfect. On the wedding day, I was in love with the beautiful job she did---I danced ALL night and it never smudged or faded. I felt so perfectly beautiful!

Nancy was absolutely amazing! She is SO sweet, prompt, professional and does a spectacular job on makeup! She did my makeup for my wedding as well as some bridesmaids and my mom and it all looked so beautiful! My makeup stayed ALL DAY! It survived me crying, sweating, and dancing! I would absolutely recommend her to any bride or anyone looking for a makeup artist! Nancy is the best!

Nancy was absolutely wonderful to work with! She is incredibly professional and very talented. She always checks to make sure you like the look and isn't afraid to change something if you don't like it. Her makeup is high quality and everything she does looks fantastic in the photos. I have had my engagement picture makeup and wedding day make up done by Nancy. It is a MUST to have your makeup done professionally for both professional pictures and your wedding (especially if it is in the middle of summer in the south).

I absolutely LOVED my wedding day makeup look that Nancy did for me, my bridesmaids, and my mom! She enhanced everyone's natural beauty without making us look "overdone" - we all looked flawless and felt beautiful. Let me add by saying it was HOT and HUMID and my makeup made it to the bubble send off!

I recommend Nancy she is a true professional and makes you feel at ease whether you are at her studio in downtown Huntsville or she is on location at your wedding venue.

I'm a busy mom, business owner, wife, homemaker..etc., so when I get an opportunity to go out, I want to look my best! Nancy is the one I go to for my makeup!! I walk out of her studio feeling like a million bucks every time!! One of the best things about her makeup applications for me is that it lasts forever!! I was out in the humid July heat for a large part of the day. My makeup was applied mid morning, and when I returned home at 2:30 a.m. I still had a flawless face! No makeup lines, no caked up creases...I was so surprised how good it all still looked. She definitely knows what she's doing! She takes the time to make sure you are happy, and will make your time in her chair a fun one! Don't hesitate to book her for your next event...you'll be so glad you did!!

Nancy was very professional, easy to work with and made for a very comfortable experience. My makeup was not only perfect for our son's wedding day, but stayed put from 8:00 a.m. until well after midnight! I'll definitely use her services again in the future.

Nancy contacted me when my makeup artist canceled on me the day before my event. I was frantically contacting other MUAs and was SO appreciative when she got in touch with me. She did a beautiful job on my makeup, and it stayed perfect throughout the whole night! I would definitely recommend using her. She was a joy to work with!

I got married in October and Nancy did my makeup, some bridesmaids, and my mom. She did a wonderful job!! She made everyone look flawless and I felt like I had never looked more beautiful! She was very professional and stuck with her schedule which made the day move quickly. We even ended up being ahead of schedule which was a huge stress reliever for me! She also had to travel a ways to get to us and she was on time and ready to go when she arrived! She was super nice and really listened to how we wanted to look and offered great advice when needed. She was awesome!! I would highly recommend her!!

Nancy Finnegan MUA was a pleasure to work with before and on my wedding day! She came very highly recommended by multiple brides, and I understand why. Nancy is a wonderful makeup artist! She is very gifted in her field and she makes you feel right at home while you are in her chair. Not only did she do my makeup for the day of my wedding, but she also did my makeup for my bridal and boudoir portraits! She easily customized each impression I was going for to best fit my features and I was very happy with each final look! I felt like I was in my own skin, just naturally more glamorous ;) She is great and joy to work with!

Nancy did the makeup for my daughter's bridal portraits and for my daughter and her seven bridesmaids for the wedding. All of the girls were absolutely breathtaking. Nancy drove to an out of town location for this wedding, worked seamlessly in tandem with the hairdresser whom she had never met. She is talented, professional, and friendly. Nancy did my makeup for both my engagement pictures and my wedding. I had 8 bridesmaids and a Mother of the Groom that all needed to get makeup done. She met us at the hair salon we were having hair done at so that the girls could get their hair and makeup done at the same place. She also arranged for an additional makeup artist to come to help get everyone ready in time for pictures. Everyone looked gorgeous and loved having Nancy do their makeup. The makeup felt light weight, lasted all night long, and looked great in person and in pictures. Thank you Nancy for making my wedding day beautiful!

Disclaimer: I'm not actually a bride so the "wedding date" above is just today's date...Ha, but Nancy has done my makeup a million times for several different events, occasions, and photo shoots...including at two weddings I have been in. Each time she's done my makeup, she has been ACE, but for the intents and purposes of Wedding Wire, I'll just focus on the weddings.

For my sister's wedding, Nancy did the whole wedding party's makeup by herself...which is no easy task at 5 bridesmaids, the Mother of the Bride, of course the bride, etc etc. In short, Nancy killed it. She skillfully caters to both the event and the individual. Maybe the bride wants the exact same look on every bridesmaid...well, Nancy has a way of making each person's look unique and flattering to their face while still fulfilling the bride's over all aesthetic. She impressed me again at my best friend's wedding. Again, she did the makeup for the bride and the bridal party...single handedly. Each lady looked flawless.

On top of being crazy talented and really great at what she does, Nancy is awesome company! She is ALWAYS professional and attentive but still super fun and personable. It is no wonder so many people trust her to make them look their absolute best on special occasions. Highly, highly recommend her services.

Nancy is a wonderful MUA! Nancy did my make up for every event leading up to my wedding! On my wedding day, she did my entire bridal party without even breaking a sweat! I totally trust Nancy's professional opinion because I have always been 100 percent happy with her work! Nancy is great at special event make-up BUT she is also very skilled at every day looks. I have called Nancy on multiple occasions to help me with a new look or teach me how to create a new look!! I highly recommend booking Nancy for any occasion! If you are in or near the Huntsville, AL, area and need someone to do makeup for your wedding, Nancy's your girl. She is amazing at all she does. I've worked with her on weddings and had her do makeup and occasionally hair for my seniors and she never fails to wow both the brides, their moms, the girls, and myself. Nancy did the makeup for myself and two bridesmaids for my wedding. She was absolutely amazing! I have never felt so beautiful! My skin was a mess due to wedding stress. However by the time Nancy was finished it was flawless!!! The colors showed up great for the pictures, and we had fun coming up with the perfect combination for my pale complexion. She helped keep me calm and collected during the process. She was extremely flexible with setting up my trial run and was very open to what I wanted. Nancy was professional but became a friend through this process. She is just extremely talented. I will be using her for any other important events or photo shoots I have! Nancy is such a sweet and talented individual. She did my make up for my engagement pictures as well as for a friend's wedding I was in last June. I've had my makeup done professionally before and it's always looked overdone and not at all like myself. Nancy listened to my thoughts on what look I was going for and did exactly that and better. Nancy did a great job for my wedding day! She had to do 13 of us. She got us all done on time and was very good at staying on time and keeping in touch leading up to the event. The wedding party loves this extra perk and I have to admit it really makes a difference with the pictures.Iwas skeptical at first since I always do my own makeup but I loved it and more importantly my daughter the bride did!!

Great Reputation, Poor Experience

I’ve heard wonderful things about Nancy’s work, but my experience has been disappointing. She canceled on me twice — both times due to being sick — before we ever met. I understand that illness can happen, but two cancellations in a row feels unprofessional and discouraging.

I did share personal information with her and can’t help but wonder if that may have influenced the situation. I truly hope that’s not the case, but it has left me feeling uncomfortable and disheartened. While Nancy’s reputation is great, my only experience so far has been negative.
