Great Venue

We are very happy we choose Nahant Country Club. Their prices were completely reasonable, especially compared to the rest of the Boston area, plus they throw in a lot of stuff for free (e.g. centerpieces) that cost an arm and a leg everywhere else. All of our meetings with Heather and Yasmine were great, they were both professional and helpful. Day of, they set up all of our decor and favors exactly as we wanted and helped to coordinate everything so we had nothing to worry about. All of the staff were extremely nice and attentive to our needs as the couple. The guests all had a great time and enjoyed the food, especially the cake and dessert buffet (which were included in the package!). The mansion is beautiful (when we arrived to our rehearsal our maid of honor whispered "this place is too fancy for me") and the multitude of spaces meant that guests were free to dance in the ballroom, hang out in the bar, or walk around outside as they pleased. Thanks Nahant! Would highly recommend.

Venue and staff is amazing!

This was the 1st and only Venue we looked! We loved it right away. It was the perfect place we were looking for. We were able to do an outdoor ceremony and inside celebration. The food was amazing all our guests loved it. The wait staff was awesome and very tentative to guests. We would definitely recommend this place for functions.

Spectacular

From the second we walked in we knew this is where we wanted to have our wedding! The grounds were beautiful and the ballroom is breathtaking.
Yasmene was nothing but lovely and went above & beyond to make sure we had everything we wanted while staying within our budget. She is a true expert and you can tell she loves what she does!
Can’t wait to celebrate!!!

we had our wedding here on June 2, 2018. Heather, Yasmene and the Nahant Country Club were so organized and accommodating throughout the process! We had both our wedding ceremony & reception at the NCC and it was so beautiful. The food was incredibly delicious and Heather & Yasmene were huge in letting us have the wedding I have always dreamed about. It was better than i could have imagined. Our guests were so impressed by the beauty of NCC as well as the hospitality and organization. I highly recommend NCC for any function!! Thank you Heather & Yasmene...you made our dreams come true ♥

I can not say enough good things about the NCC. During planning, all I heard was how stressful it is and I had the complete opposite experience all thanks to Heather and Yasmene. The day of, Yasmene couldn’t have been more calm, cool and collected and that made for a fantastic day for me and the venue looked more beautiful than I ever imagined. If I could go back, I wouldn’t change a thing. Thank you Heather and Yasmene!

I was recently a bridesmaid in a wedding at Nahant Country Club and was beyond impressed with everything about this venue from start to finish. First of all, it is just gorgeous. It has a quaint yet elegant feel that perfectly captures the vibe of a timeless New England beach town. The most impressive part was the staff. The way they treated the bridal party and guests was above and beyond with kindness. They all seemed personally invested in creating the perfect wedding weekend.

My husband and I just got married at NCC in July. We had just under 200 guests and everything was amazing. Yasmene is amazing to work with and does a wonderful job. All of the meals were fabulous and our guests could not say enough about the HOT and great tasting food. I know my chicken came out and steam was coming out from it which you don't always see at weddings. I had a lot of DIY details and such and they were all set up perfectly throughout the venue. They were very flexible and easy to work with. I wanted a popcorn bar and they set it up perfectly as a late night snack for guests to enjoy. The ballroom is beautiful with its 2 tier seating and chivari chairs and linens and the big bar area as well as porch/patio seating are all great spots for guests to mingle and enjoy! We were more than pleased with NCC and all they had to offer us.

We had a perfect wedding at NCC! We wanted to get married on Nahant, and were incredibly lucky to find the NCC. The space is perfect: beautiful outdoor space, a really cool two-level main ballroom, and connected bar and patio rooms for cocktail hour and for guests to get away from the music if they want. Yasmene and Heather were wonderful throughout the whole process. They made suggestions when we didn't have any idea what to do and reminded us of details we would never have remembered. There was never a moment when they didn't have everything totally under control, and they were also unfailingly incredibly nice the whole time. The night went wonderfully and our guests had a great time (as did we!). We would definitely recommend it!

It was such a pleasure working with wonderful people. The quality of food was delicious! The service was exceptional! The venue was beautiful and cozy! The owner made the wedding planning a great experience! I received such wonderful comments about the cocktail room, bar room, and ballroom. All of our guests were raving about the delicious food! My Husband and I were married on August 6th, 2011 at St. Anthony’s Church in Revere. Finding a venue that was capable of meeting our needs and expectations was not easy. We had a lot of family from out of town and did not want to be rushed through our evening. We could not have been more impressed with the Nahant Country Club.

Throughout the entire planning process, the staff and ownership continuously went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was completely stress free. Peter, the owner, took the time to help us plan the best menu to maximize our time with our guests and fit our budget. Their experience and knowledge of what works and what doesn’t helped us make decisions now looking back we are glad we did.

As for our reception, our evening at the Country Club was simply magical. Peter and the staff continued to impress as they guided us through the evening. We took our pictures before the church at the club and were greeted by an amazing staff and hors’ dourves. The gardens were pristine and provided a breathtaking backdrop for our pictures. The bridal sweet was beautiful and had enough room for all of my wedding party to get ready along with lending a great backdrop for my “getting ready” pictures.

After the church, my guests arrived to an amazing display of appetizers in the most beautiful terrace. Everyone raved about the food and service. Coming from a large Italian family compliments on food are real when they are given! Pat, the Chef, did an unbelievable job preparing all of the food and suggesting ideas. His knowledge of food was second to none.

My husband and I could not have been happier with the Nahant Country Club. It’s rich history and caring staff made my wedding one my husband and I will never forget.

I had my daughter's wedding at the Nahant Country Club and it was a wonderful experience. The manager, Peter Dawson, was a pleasure to deal with. Peter was always accomodating, very professional, and went out of his way to make the entire experience stress free. Pat, the chef, was always available to answer any questions about the menu and also was a pleasure to deal with. You couldn't ask for a better venue. The grounds were beautiful, the open front porch for sitting during cocktail hour was nice, and the main ballroom was spectacular. The best part of the whole night, however, was the food. I have been to many weddings and I have never had food as good as it was at the Nahant Country Club. From the passed hors d'oeuvres during the cocktail hour, to the beef tenderloin and chicken piccata for the main course, to the dessert buffet, everything was excellent. Many people came up to me toward the end of the night and said that it was the best wedding they have ever been to. Again, I thank Peter and Pat for making my daughter's wedding a night we will never forget.

Our wedding day could not have been more perfect. I loved Nahant Country Club from the first time I visited and knew right away it was the place I wanted to get married. I dealt with Peter a majority of the time and he was always great. Pat the chef was awesome as well. He made us up some sandwiches and appetizers while the girls and I got ready in the bridal suite before the ceremony. It's a perfect/beautiful place to get ready. One of the many reasons why I loved it there. My guests are still raving about the wedding too. The food was great, the atmosphere, the cocktail hour, they thought everything was fantastic. I even got a few "best wedding ever" comments :) I could really go on and on.... I definitely recommend this venue, you wont be disappointed!!

My husband and I saw pictures on the website and were able to see the venue the next day. We met with Beverly for a tour and information. We were planning our wedding in a rather short amount of time. They answered all of our questions and helped us out so much along the way. We could not even believe all that we got for the price. The food was amazing.We had many guest from out of the country/state and everyone was raiving. Everyone is still talking about the service and food! We dealt with both Beverly and Peter the day of our wedding and they were all smiles and helped our day to run smooth. We would recomend this to anyone and everyone!

I had my ceremony and reception at Nahant Country Club on July 30th and I have nothing but GREAT things to say about them. Peter and his staff took care of everything on the day and went out of their way to make us and our guests feel welcome and at ease. The staff was incredible, the food was delicious and the place looked stunning. The wedding cake, which was included with the venue (so I was a little nervous it would be sub-par), was spectacular. My guests are still talking about how wonderful everything was. It's so hard to believe that this was such a reasonably priced venue (one of the most reasonably priced we found anywhere!). Leading up the day, the staff was incredibly helpful and responsive to all of my questions. When the personalized napkins came in the wrong color by mistake, they had the issue resolved in less than 24 hours. I couldn't have asked for anything more. I would highly recommend Nahant Country Club!!!

From my first meeting to the the end of the night when I walked out the door they Nahant Country Club was FANTASTIC. Everyone there was so helpful and nice to us. Yasmine was there for us the day of to keep us on track and keep everything going the way a Day of Coordinator would. We had so many compliments and even now 3 months later people still rave about our wedding. The food was amazing. The cake delicious. The invitations which I also ordered through them were very elegant.

The Nahant Country Club was recommended to us by our JP and from the first phone call their professionalism and responsiveness was second to none. They really want to understand your wishes and needs for your special day and also are extremely helpful in recommendations to anything which you're unsure.

The waitstaff was wonderfully accommodating, there for us whenever we needed, and sometimes knew just what we were looking for before we even asked. Service was nothing short of AMAZING! Barbie is simply, THE BEST.

The quality of the food was just perfect. Delicious, hot when it came out, and not typical for "wedding" food. The chef/staff really know how to provide you everything from an eye-appealing presentation to a wonderful meal. Thank you so much for making us and our guests happy!

Nahant Country Club is wonderful! We were skeptical by the name (we didn't want a country club wedding) but were thrilled by what we found. It's not really a country club (there are a couple tennis courts but that's it). It's really a great old mansion from the 1900s with a lot of character (FDR's son was married there). The grounds are beautiful as well. The best thing about NCC is that you get the building to yourself on your wedding day- there will never be another wedding or event at the same time. The large reception room is beautiful with nice hardwood floors. There are also other rooms open for the guests (including the bar area, another little room, and the front porch) which was great during cocktail hour mingling and throughout the night. The value of NCC is really phenomenal when you look at everything the wedding package includes (venue, meals, champagne for toast, wedding cake, dessert buffet, placecards, guestbook, centerpieces you can use, and more). The staff is very professional and know what they're doing. We loved it there and would definitely recommend it!

The staff at Nahant Country Club is phenomenal! They treated my family like we were royalty. They were super responsive to questions. The food was fantastic. Their grounds are beautiful. There are lots of things included with the wedding package so you get a lot for your money. We also ordered our invitations through the coordinator. They came very quickly and they even fixed something that wasn't quite right in two days time! Overall it was a wonderful experience and the Nahant Country Club made our day everything we dreamed of

A wonderful wedding venue!

We had a wonderful wedding at the Nahant Country Club. Yasmene and Heather were great to work with and our wedding ran incredibly smoothly. The venue itself is beautiful and unique, our guests had a great time. The prices are incredibly reasonable and we additionally received an off season discount. Their wedding packages include so much beyond the standard wedding packages including the use of the bridal suite, appetizers/champagne in the bridal suite on the wedding day, use of their (beautiful) centerpieces, a separate happy hour for the wedding party during photographs and much more. Yasmene went above and beyond on our wedding day- she even sewed my nephew's superhero mask when it broke. Many of our guests commented on how she was the best wedding coordinator they had ever seen. Overall, we are incredibly happy with our selection of the Nahant Country Club. It is a beautiful venue run by incredibly efficient and kind women!

Nahant Country Club is a beautiful location with the ability to take photos down the street on the beach. I had my wedding outside and the country club accommodated all of my visions by allowing me and my Matron of Honor to go to the country club at anytime to set up different theme ideas for the table. The only thing I was disappointed with is that Dinner took forever to be served during the rehearsal dinner night and same with day of the wedding. Food however was amazing, decorations came out fantastic. Hall accommodated all of my vendors. And allowed us to have the place for the entire day. I would recommend this location for a wedding. I was a happy bride.

We had our wedding at Nahant Country Club two weeks ago and it was absolutely
perfect! We spent a long time looking for wedding venues because we were both so
picky about what we wanted. But after we looked at NCC, we immediately knew it
was going to be our choice. Peter, the owner, showed us around and totally sold us
on the place. He was great! We love the atmosphere at NCC and how you get the
entire place to yourself on the wedding day. We had the place to ourselves starting
at 9am when we started hair/makeup in the bridal suite (which is gorgeous!). We
had our ceremony outside by the gazebo. We ended up bringing our own flowers to
decorate the aisle way because I felt like it needed something else besides the plants
they have there. There is a public tennis court on the property and I was concerned
about hearing noises from the tennis court or street traffic, but neither of those
ended up being problems at all. You can’t hear any of the street noise from the
ceremony area. It was the perfect setting for our ceremony. They also have a backup
ceremony room inside, which was really reassuring just in case of rain. There are
public beaches two minutes down the road so my husband and I hopped in a car
immediately after the ceremony and had some time to take pictures on the beach.
The beach area provides some beautiful backdrops for wedding photos! The bar
area is beautiful and we loved the idea of having a few rooms and a terrace for our
guests to hang out during cocktail hour. There was so much space in the
venue—people didn’t have to be stuffed in one room for the entire 6 hours. The
ballroom is also really nice. We had about 115 people for our wedding and it felt like
the perfect size, although it can certainly accommodate much more than that.
You can’t beat the price at NCC. The wedding package they offer makes it a really
good deal. For the cost of dinner and drinks, you get so much included, such as
centerpiece

We had our entire wedding day at Nahant Country Club – ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Given that we were two brides, one American and one British, getting married mid-April (so who knew what the weather would be), they were very flexible and accommodating. We didn’t see each other before we got dressed, so they re-fitted a powder room into a second bridal suite for us, which was great. We made use of just about every room – and there are several! We had the ceremony outside, formal photos in the room at the end where we would have had an indoor ceremony, and used the front sitting room with the veranda along with the bar/lounge area for the cocktail hour. The ballroom was large enough to accommodate our 130 guests for dining, as well as the dancing after without having to move tables, but still felt intimate because of the way they set things up. The venue is not actually on the ocean, but being in Nahant, it’s just a few seconds away. For our mid-April wedding, that was perfect – outdoors right on the beach would have been too cold.

From our first visit to the wedding day, we spoke with Beverley, Peter and Yasmene, as well as Pat, the chef. All were pleasant to talk to and work with – be aware that they respond more quickly to phone calls than emails. Pat went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome every time we visited. When my wife’s parents visited from England in September, NCC allowed us to have the tasting much earlier than usual, so that they could take part, and we toured the facility multiple times as various relatives came into town. We did most of our planning with Yasmene, who was very professional, had great suggestions but was also very willing to do anything we needed. Barbie, the head wait staff, was wonderful. Our guests had nothing but compliments for all of the staff at NCC.

We can't thank everyone at the Nahant Country Club enough. From the very first day we went to see the venue through to the very end of our reception, the entire staff was amazing. They repeatedly told us they would take care of everything once we arrived after our wedding and they delivered. Had we held our reception anywhere else, I can't see that it would have been as beautiful, flawlessly executed or as much fun. Perfect venue for the best night EVER. Literally Nahant CC made every minute of our wedding go so perfectly smoothly. If something did go wrong, I had no idea. Everyone was raving about the food. The space is so perfect for making a wedding of 150 feel so intimate but with enough space for everyone to dance too! So romantic and antique. Peter made great suggestions along the way and Barb was SO HELPFUL day of. Pat the cook was unreal. Couldn't have asked for anything more. (I highly recommend the haddock!!!) Our dessert buffet was such a great addition to the night as well.

My ONLY criticism could be that the venue is quick to respond to questions by phone but Slower to respond by e-mails. but they do always get back to emails eventually!

We had a beautiful wedding at the Nahant Country Club. The mansion has a lot of character that does not require extra decorations, definitely a step up from the other bare and boring venues we had looked at. The general setup and logistics were better than other venues in our price range. I felt so comfortable when I booked them, knowing all wedding necessities were included in the package - centerpieces, escort cards, guestbook, card holder, champagne toast, even a delicious wedding cake from a well-respected local bakery. We ended up bringing in our own centerpieces, escort cards, and guestbook anyways, but it just put my mind at ease knowing that if there was any detail I did not have time for or could not afford, I would be covered. And when we compared the price of Nahant Country Club to the other venues we considered, we ended up getting a lot more bang for our buck with the Nahant Country Club. The ceremony was outdoors at the gazebo, which was dressed up nicely. Had it rained, there was a spare room indoors that we could have had the ceremony in. The ballroom was a good size for our 170-guest wedding. I would not recommend going too much higher than that - 200 would have been tight! The staff was great to work with, especially Pat the chef. The food was absolutely delicious!!! Great apps and entrees, and everyone raved about the deserts and cake, which were included in the package. The staff is very experienced, my wedding was pretty standard and traditional, which seemed right in line with what they are used to doing. Everything was perfect. The only ways they could improve and catch up with the times is if they accepted credit cards and were better with email, I used phone as my primary contact with them, whereas I used email to communicate with all my other vendors. Really not a deal-breaker though. I have no regrets and would definitely recommend Nahant Country Club to other brides!

Nahant Country Club gave us the most bang for our buck. It wasn't the least expensive place but it wasn't the most expensive either. The Perfect Package that they offer was great and included things like toasting flutes, a cake cutting set, a champagne toast, the CAKE (!), personalized cocktail napkins, a guest book and pen, a dessert buffet (Italian pastries mostly), and a few other things I know I am forgetting. The package was great for us because it meant fewer things to worry about during the planning process.

Peter, Beverly, and Yasmene are all excellent. They took care of every little detail the day of, returned my calls in a timely manner, and gave me all the information I needed to plan my special day. Some of our relatives from Ireland who weren't able to come to the wedding e-mailed the country club the day of and asked someone to pass on their well-wishes to us. Pat, the chef, printed the e-mail and hand-delivered it to the bridal suite. Also, I left a pair of earrings in the bridal suite and when I called the day after, they had already found them and put them aside for me. They even offered to mail them out to me (I live in Miami).

The food was outstanding. They started off the day with cheeses and crackers, champagne, juice, sodas, and water delivered to the bridal suite about two hours after we arrived (we had brought bagels and coffee so the timing was perfect). People talked endlessly about how amazing the passed hors d'oeuvres were and the stationary display that is included in the package is ridiculously huge. There was more food at my wedding than you could ever imagine. The cake that is included in the package is from D'Amici's bakery and was outstanding. A heads-up about the cake though. Most of the designs in their book are outdated. I chose to have a custom cake made and there was an up-charge ($85). However, it was so worth it when I saw the cake (and considering that some people spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on the cake, I felt $85 was totally reasonable). It came out gorgeous, people complimented it, and it tasted divine!

They decorated the gazebo for me with flowing white linens for a nominal fee. The ballroom was perfectly set up. In fact, before the wedding I had some down time so I went into the ballroom to put my candles on the tables. Almost immediately one of the staff came in and offered to do it for me. They took my ceremony flowers and put them where I asked post-ceremony, added a few candles that they had to supplement the ones I brought, and added a potted orchid (which I loved!) to the escort card table. There wasn't a whole lot of decorations I had to bring in myself, the place is already gorgeous. Additionally, because of the way the two-tiered ballroom is set up, there isn't a bad seat in the house. Everyone can see the bride and groom at the sweetheart table and no one will complain that they were stuck at the reject table in the corner. There is also a stage that the DJ sets up on which makes the dance floor even bigger.

Just a few cons to the venue. The location is gorgeous - right on the water, minutes from the beach - but there is one way in and one way out. If you hit traffic you are in trouble (although we didn't hit much of it the entire weekend of the wedding which was Labor Day weekend) and you have to drive through Lynn to get there which isn't the worst but it can be a very confusing route. I highly recommend using a GPS. Mapquest directions aren't that great and the ones on the website are only slightly better (and I think there is nothing you can do about this). They don't return e-mails as quickly as phone calls. There were times when it took them two days to return my e-mail. However, this never bothered me because I had planned well in advance and only e-mailed because I couldn't call during regular business hours.

Finally, a heads-up. This places does NOT accept credit cards. They will only take a bank check or a money order and you have to pay a few days before you actual event. However, they tell you this again and again so there is never a surprise. We knew this before we even officially booked the place.

Overall, we had a great experience there. I can't say enough about how amazing the food was, how gorgeous the gazebo turned out, and how attentive the wait staff was.

Our experience at Nahant Country Club was great! Yasmine was easy to work with, although set in her ways about how things should be done verses how we wanted them to be. She does have the experience and knows how things should run time wise. We were disappointed that our guest book was not able to be implemented because of her suggestion and as a result we only got a handful of people to sign it, not a real big deal, but it would have been nice to have.
The venue is beautiful and great for a smallish wedding, we had 140 and the main room was comfortable. Being able to use the large bar area as well as 2 other rooms made it seeem to be much larger.
The food is Wonderful! Everyone raved about the tenderloin of beef and stuffed shrimp. Those who got the stuffed haddock also thought it was good. App's were wonderful and more than enough to go around. The cake choices are great and beautifully done.
There are alot of extras in the Wedding Package that you don't get at other places.
Overall it was a great experience and we had a ball!

We had an absolutely amazing reception at this venue. Really great food with great friendly staff that are very attentive. The price is right also which was important for my Groom and I as we did not want to break the bank. Only issue with professionalism issue is that we felt the cocktail hour was being rushed and per reports the venue was not 100% ready when the guests arrived. We paid for our time and we made sure to take our whole time. You only get one day! Definitely consider this venue if you want a great historical venue with beautiful beaches nearby!

We loved our wedding venue so much! The layout of the property is conducive for an on-site wedding however we were married just around the corner at St. Thomas of Aquinas.
I couldn't give 5 stars across the board because this venue has not evolved with the times, they do things their way and the way events have been running there since the 80's. Things are pretty old school right down to the menu choices and servers assisting the guests. If you are from out-of-town and are used to a bit more polished service than you may have questions about their style.
They are cash only, so only book if you can afford it. They were super flexible in the end with some of our requests but I could tell that it was not the norm for them. I would recommend to any bride and groom looking for a beautiful place to enjoy their party. The grounds are perfect for photographs as well as the dining room.

I had a great experience from the showing to the ceremony. I fell in love with this beautiful & peaceful venue and I knew that I will be married under the gazebo of this historic site. So romantic!
The planning process was easy, every time I called with questions I always got answers and guidance.

The day of the ceremony the staff was very helpful. The ceremony on site started on time and was beautiful, the gazebo was decorated in light mauve & pink & white beautiful flowers.

The ballroom was grandiose and made me feel like a princess, again all decorated in mauve, pink & white, my wedding theme. And it was great to be able to add our personal touch. Yasmene, the on staff flower decorator created a beautiful centre piece for each table. It was very easy to work with her & she provided good advice. It was spacious to accommodate my 200 guests.

The cocktail hour took place on the Chrystal room leading to the patio. The weather was beautiful and my guests were served on the patio a variety of delicious hors d'oeuvre with champagne or the drink of their choice.

My guests all complimented on the food, the tenderloin accompanied with the choice of pepper corn or bearnaise sauce melted in their mouth. I was very please with the wedding cake, it was exactly what I chose. The servers were friendly and provided prompt service. Despite the pressure to serve that many people, the waitresses worked quickly and were very efficient. Pat, the chef ensured that the meal was hot and cooked to perfection.

During our tasting we met Pat, the chef who was very helpful in designing our menu.

All in all it was the best day of my life and we could not have chosen a better venue. I highly recommend the Nahant country club for a wedding or any other events. I will definitely plan other events there.

We had a small wedding here (23 guests) and the event worked out perfectly for us. The organization, flexibility to accommodate some specific requirements, pricing, food, environment, atmosphere and staff were fantastic. We had a couple of absolutely minor issues that came up that in no way impacted our day. Out organizer, Heather was great from initial contact to the day itself (although she seems to work every hour of the day and should have some extra time off!). For our particular event and its small size I would absolutely recommend this location.

We had a beautiful wedding day at Nahant Country Club. The vintage look and feel of the mansion were exactly what I was looking for, without breaking the bank. I really appreciated how flexible Yasmene & Heather were, from constructing a new, off-the-menu entree to letting us come in and set things up the day before, exactly how we wanted them.The cocktail hour set up was a little strange, keeping the entire bridal party separated outside instead of mingling with the other guests, and we were told we were late when we arrived at the tail end of cocktail hour and no hors d'oeuvres had been saved for us (may have been a miscommunication, but still disappointing). Overall, our experience was great and family still talks about how much fun they had, over a year later!

Our venue hunt was over after seeing the Nahant Country Club for the first time. We had previously looked at 3 other venues, but after seeing the beauty of this venue and feeling at home with Peter Dawson, it was a done deal in planning our August wedding. Peter Dawson and the entire staff at the Country Club really make you and your guests feel at home.

Their wedding package covers almost ALL details at a reasonable cost and makes everything easier for the bride and groom. The staff is friendly, accommodating, and welcoming. Their chef, Patrick, is very talented and truly caters to your every need. I can't say enough about the convenience of this venue. There's a beautiful ceremony gazebo, a back-up fireplace room in the event of inclement weather, a bridal suite upstairs, a bar, a cocktail room with a 2nd bar, a terrace for guests to enjoy cocktail hour, and a stunning ballroom. You've got everything you need in one location.

My only one complaint would be that you're charged the price of your higher entrée for a split menu-- for example, to serve chicken or fish. More than half of our guests chose chicken, yet we had to pay the price of the haddock entrée for all 200 meals. While that doesn't sound like much, it sure added up.

Our guests had a blast and they're still raving about how much they enjoyed our wedding. Nahant Country Club truly makes their mansion yours for your special day.

We have had so many compliments on how beautiful our reception was. Everyone loved the food, thanks Pat!. It was set up perfectly, our guests were both inside and out, since the weather cooperated for us. NCC responds best by telephone and call in the afternoon it's the best time to reach them. Our money went a long way with them and I am so glad we didn't have to go searching for other vendors, since NCC included everything. Thank you for a perfect day!

Positives:

The space is gorgeous and well maintained

The staff overall is very friendly

It was an excellent bang for your buck. We were very budget conscious and NCC had everything we wanted for a price we could afford. There are plenty of "standard" included items and they were kind enough to comp some extras.

The food was delicious, I think that Pat their chef is their greatest asset. We LOVE food and so I didn't want to get typical dry flavorless wedding food and weren't disappointed

Things I did NOT like:

They lack at communication. We were told that any decorations we brought we would be able to leave instructions and THEY would set them up yet the day of my wedding NOTHING was set up. So I ended up setting up all of my own centerpieces extra decorations etc.(Luckily I was early)

Every single time I called for anything I needed to leave a message and be called back and sometimes I would have to call multiple times to even get a return phone call (I had to call two or three times to even get the amount of my final bill)

The bridal suite- great in theory reality meh. I had 8 girls including myself all needing hair and makeup but NCC didn't want me there before 2:30 for my 6PM wedding. Why have hair set up etc if you're not going to allow brides in early enough to really use it?? When they set up the bridal suite for the day they left pin sticking out of the table which managed to RIP three of my four bridesmaids dresses before we even had the ceremony!

They were VERY pushy about time schedules with our photographs I didn't appreciate being told I had 40 minutes for photos and that's it.

Their paperwork needs to be updated, things are shown that in reality they dont have or offer.

Overall I would recommend using them as long you are able to be very organized and independent about planning, the space is beautiful and can easily be arranged to fit a small wedding or a large one.

This place is gorgeous, which is why my husband and I chose it. The food is really great too. However, I felt like they could have been a little more helpful during the planning process. They do not hold your hand AT ALL and you really kind of have to know what you're doing, which I didn't, but did a lot of internet research. For example, I had no idea that I was supposed to fill out the placecards myself, or when i was supposed to pick them up, so I called a couple weeks before our date and they said "Oh yeah, they just came in. Call next week and we can schedule a time for you to get them" and which point I didn't understand why I had to call again. Also, they are not very quick to respond to emails, which is my communication of choice because I work long hours, but they do respond eventually. The day of, everything went off great and they were really helpful, assigning their staff to each area as "room captains" or something like that. All in all it was a good experience.

It is a beautiful place the staff was great and very helpful the one thing I was disappointed with was when we went for our food Tasting we were told "exactly what you see on the plate in front of you is exactly what your guest will be served" this was far from true we ordered the steak for our guest due to the big piece we got at the serving on the day of our wedding out guest were served 3-4 thin slices of steak nothing like what we got at our food tasting but other then that everything else went great there I just didn't like the fact we were told one size of meat then served complete opposite after bragging to everyone to get the steak I was a little embrassed and felt like a liar when we called to talk about this after the wedding we were told ""THIS IS NOT A steak house" they did a great job setting up and guiding us threw

the entire process was painless and super exciting, sadly that all changed when day of coordination was extremely poor and unorganized!!! The ballroom was set up for 104 guests, when we had 120! We followed all the rules and have the final head count two weeks early as requested! When you pay for 120 guests and give the seating chart you anticipate everyone having somewhere to sit when they arrive! Understaffed / dinner took FOREVER! It really was upsetting to hear from our guests the next day about all the mishaps! My husband and I still had the time of our lives just wish it went better!!

This venue fit our needs, but was by no means a place for someone who is very particular about what they are looking for or are not into a "fancy" wedding. We are laid back people and the mansion and outdoor ceremony was right up our ally. The owners provided conflicting information and we ended up changing a lot of what we did throughout our planning process because they "forgot to mention..." or would respond with "who told you that?" Also, they never knew the details of my wedding when I called or lost information that I sent (the sample menus, etc). The woman Beverly who was helping on the day of our wedding is the only negative part of the day--and is still talked about from my family! Examples include: barring people from the open bar during dinner; not letting people know why we were running late (so everyone was thinking I had cold feet and I was just late!); and just being plain rude. If you want a quiet, relaxed venue, this is a great place for the cost, but I would demand to never speak with Beverly--just socially incapable of much. Food was the complete highlight and I would totally recommend for any catering needs!!!

My wedding took place in October, 2010, and while the grounds and food were good, just about everything else was terrible.

Beverly: she is the meanest, rudest, most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with. My officant told me that many people are no longer having their weddings at the NCC because of Beverly. She hates her job, has no communication skills, and is completely inflexible. She created a huge problem for me because I am a vegetarian and told me to go find my own recipes as she knows nothing about vegetarians. When I asked her via email what kinds of things we will cover in the wedding details, she responded, "The details of the wedding." She failed to meet with me several times, instead having the poor bartender give ma a tour of the place. I could go on and on. Her husband Peter, is a nice guy but doesn't check his emails and made more work for by calling all the time to find out answers to things I already told him. They messed up the bill and if it wasn't for me catching it, there would have been no open bar for the first hour. Yasmene, their daughter, is sweet, but she is only there one day a week. After I refused to work with Beverly any more (mind you I am a school teacher and have tons of patience, but Beverly is uncontrollably rude), things got a little better, however, on the actual day of my wedding, it was pretty much a cluster. Barb, the room mananger, is a piece of work. She was surly and rude, didn't do my table numbers correctly, wouldn't let us take picture outside and made us take them later on in the day, theregore I missed 30 minutes of my wedding and dancing, and was completely inflexible. I would have had Yasmene help, but she pretty much took off after I got married. Nothing was coordinated with the DJ and they threw away all of my table decorations without ever consulting me. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else. You may have to pay more, but at least they will care.

First off let me list the positive aspects of the Nahant Country Club. The mansion and the grounds are beautiful. The d�cor in the bar is awesome, and very nautical. All our guests raved about the food we had the baked stuffed shrimp and the beef tenderloin. We met the chef Pat several times and he is great.

Everyone who came to our wedding said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. This was due to our hard work and not the hard work of the NCC owners. First of all when we initially went to look at the NCC we met with Yazmine who seemed to be on top of everything. After we booked the NCC we found out that Yazmine would be leaving for maternity leave. From that point on the customer service was horrible. Every time I called I had to remind them who I was, the date of the wedding, and the details of the wedding. Our emails and phone calls were never returned and when I called Beverly out on the lack of service, she told my fianc� that she had responded to all my emails, which was not true.

The day of the wedding the NCC acted appalled when I asked to get ready in the bridal suite. The staff didn�t start setting up until a 3:00pm for a 5:00pm wedding. The lack of organization really made the day more stressful then it had to be. By far the worst thing was that we asked for all the items back (candles, baskets, candy bowls, etc) back after the wedding. We called the next day and were told �come get it after your honeymoon� when I called two weeks later I was told �you should have picked it up the next day, because we through it out�.

Go somewhere else and be treated with the respect you deserve!!
