Flexible, kind, & kept the music flowing!

Gil was great to work with through the entire process. He used playlists I built on Spotify, but had a plan in the event I did not. We were running late for various reasons & he was so flexible with the changes. He constantly check in with me to see what I would like to do next.

The Best DJ in Town!

You want to take your party to the next notch, I highly recommend hiring Gil and his team. I've known Gil for years through Zumba and he always came through for us throwing unforgettable parties. So I knew I wanted him for our wedding and he did not disappoint. Gil provided the monogram, the uplight, and he was our emcee. He understood how to keep the party going. I wanted to be really fast program as I wanted to spend more time on the dance floor. Gil listen to our music request but also had great transitions as it kept people on the dance floor. Our last song with our guest is a memory I will cherish forever. Don't hesitate when it comes to this company, you get more than you pay for! Thank you Gil!!

DJ Gil did such an incredible job at our wedding at Dillingham Ranch. The music for the ceremony was seamless, and he did a really great job getting people on the dance floor at the reception. He was friendly and fun, and he helped make our day extra special. Definitely recommend!

DJ Gil is the best

We hired DJ Gil for our wedding for music and he also included photo booth services as well. He's such an easy-going guy, super easy to speak to and definitely knows what he's doing that you don't even have to worry, which makes a difference on your big day when you have a million other things to focus on. We had certain songs we wanted played during our ceremony and reception and everything flowed so smoothly. I was super impressed that when it was time to get on the dancefloor, he knew exactly what songs to play to get the guests on the dancefloor, and let me tell you, the dance floor was packed! Everyone was dancing and had a good time, and of course, he played the otso otso for all my filipino guests. I will definitely recommend him for all your DJ needs. His services are affordable and you won't regret it!

DJ is the best!!

I would highly recommend this company and Dj Gil. Gil did our wedding and it was amazing. He really took the time to communicate with us ahead of time and then he met with us at our venue when we arrived in Honolulu which was so nice considering we planned everything out of state. He was such a pleasure to work with and he really listened to what we wanted. He even made adjustments the night of and changed some of our requests last minute. We couldn't have been happier with our decision to hire Gil!

We used Fran and Gil for our September 2017 wedding at Turtle Bay for DJ and MC services and they did SUCH an amazing job (which is high praise from a super type A bride from the mainland who used to throw events as a career). They came as a recommendation from a friend who got married at the same venue about a year earlier and I could not have been more pleased.

They contacted me within 24 hours of shooting them an email and were always responsive to any questions that we had throughout the process. One thing that I was not sure about was the fact that they were always rather insistent on talking on the phone or in person when the time came. However, I should have trusted that they knew what they were doing! Chatting with them and meeting them were a blast and I am so glad that we did it. FYI they send you a questionnaire to you to complete before your big day that details all of the things that all of the blogs say that you should talk about with your DJ. It is very thorough.

The music was one of THE most important things for us in our wedding. It sets the tone of EVERY party. We were not about to spend all that money and not throw a good party lol. The dance floor was packed all night long, which is saying something because we had a very....eclectic set of music requests. My fiance's family is basically rednecks who are into country, our friends who are all EDM all the time, my family who are in to 70s music, and us who love all of the above and hiphop and disco. Gil did a seamless job with blending all of the above and was a charismatic MC.

The only thing that I regret was not telling them in person the night of how grateful we were for their services. I would 100% use them again if I had to do it all over again and would not hesitate recommending them to a friend. The only thing I would change would be saying thank you in person. Thanks again, Fran and Gil!

I can't say enough good things about N-D Mixx. Gil was such a treat to work with, especially considering we were throwing so many new things at him! We had a combined Sikh/Christian wedding with several traditions that Gil wasn't familiar with. We don't live in Hawaii so most of our correspondence before the wedding was via email. When we arrived on Oahu Gil made the trip up to the North Shore to meet with us and wanted to be absolutely sure he was crystal clear on the entire schedule, all the rituals, and anything extra we wanted to add to our celebrations. I felt so comforted that he was being so thorough with any questions and comments; he clearly wanted to be as on the ball as possible. Both my husband and I had surprises for one another that we had to involve Gil on, and he was great at keeping each of us in the dark about the other's plans! He was so patient with us, unbelievably friendly, and all around such an easy and wonderful vendor to work with. I'd recommend N-D Mixx to anyone; you won't be disappointed at all!

DJ Gil provided the highest quality of professionalism for our son's Hawaii Wedding Reception! I could not believe how fast he responded to any of our questions, the ease of contracting and payment, his guidance with song surveys, his professionalism in contacting and visiting the venue ahead of the event, his support during the evening and constant monitoring that our guests were having a great time all night long! We hired ND mixx as recommended by Natalie from Aloha Bridal Connections. And now I recommend them to all my friends and family looking for a DJ. Fran and Gil were awesome to work with. They were very easy to communicate with via email and always responded in a timely manner. We didn't meet one another till day of the wedding but even through email they were friendly and kind and always wanted the best for you.

We hired them for ceremony/reception services and emcee services. Fran, Gil and their team far exceeded expectation! The music throughout the evening was on point and they played every song we requested. My husband and I wanted to surprise our guests with a little dance number and we asked Gil if he could do a little remix for us and it came out just how we wanted, perfecto! Gil was great at being the emcee and kept the guests laughing and entertained. When the formal reception was done the night kept going strong and everyone was dancing the night away! The night couldn't of ended any better thanks to ND mixx! We are so thankful for their generosity and services. 5 stars across the board!

They were absolutely amazing! I had asked for a romantic mood of songs for the eating portion of our reception and then a fun mood for dancing and they did awesome! I LOVED having N-D Mixx at my wedding! I didn’t really have a choice for my DJ selection because my venue had a preferred vendor list and my planner basically told me who to choose. I was so worried that I wouldn’t have a say in the music and that it would end up being an awkward reception but it totally wasn’t! DJ Gil made it a point to reach out and meet us before the wedding so that he could hear about our likes and dislikes. I could tell right away that he knew what our style was within 10 minutes of meeting us. And on the wedding day they totally nailed it! It was such a relief! Everybody had a great time on the dance floor! They played exactly what we wanted, new music, rap/hip-hop/EDM/reggae/little bit of Spanish music for my family! Hehe it was so perfect! They were also great MC’s, it was totally natural and fun! It could not have been any better! I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to have a great party!!

I couldn't be more satisfied with N-D Mixx productions! They were super responsive and made it easy to coordinate even though I was in Texas. An added bonus was that they were very familiar with the venue and staff and I had never been there so they put me at ease when it came to planning around the space and logistics. We had two phone calls, I filled out their form, and they handled the rest. The day of the wedding was seamless due to their flexibility and professionalism. The guests even asked if I had brought them from home because they were so spot on.

Gil, his wife Fran, and the rest of the crew from N-D Mixx were so wonderful - I'm so glad that we were able to work with them for our wedding! From our initial outreach to set up a meeting, Gil and Fran were very prompt and responsive; they answered any questions we had. As we got closer to the wedding date, they made sure that they understood our music taste and that we accounted for everything in the ceremony and reception (e.g. procession music, dancing music). They were also flexible with our asks, such as background music during the cocktail hour, providing a projector and screen for our slideshow, and offering a range of choices for the lighted monogram for the wall. Gil was a really wonderful emcee - his laidback style and sense of humor was perfect for our wedding. I would recommend N-D Mixx hands-down to anyone who is looking for a DJ who is fun and very easy to work with!

ND Mixx is absolutely amazing. I love Gil so much, and I've loved working with him doing weddings the past several years being in the industry. We always joked around that he would be our DJ when my hubby and I finally decided to tie the knot and he definitely did not disappoint. He and Fran are so great to work with, they are responsive and professional and really care about creating an amazing personalized event. He is always on time or early to events which goes a long way and says a lot, especially traveling out to different venues across the island. He is so great at what he does and he has a great charismatic personality. They take everything into consideration with requests and event needs and are true experts and know what they are doing. They're also very versatile, and helped cultivate such an amazing overall experience. I would recommend them to anyone who is planning a big event and wants to turn it up to party, keep it classy, and any vibe you are going for. From the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, reception, and dancing, they are always so on point and keep everything going so smoothly with effortless transitions. Gil and Fran were absolutely amazing! We couldn't have asked for a better DJ. Payment and communication was super easy, and they were responsive to us and to our coordinator who first recommended them. While we used their song form to suggest some of the music we like for each part of the party (cocktail hour, dinner, dancing), it was really clear that with a few suggestions, they could "take it from there" and play exactly the kind of music that kept the party going and that our friends were going to love. Everybody raved about the music! Although I don't think it's absolutely necessary, it was also nice that they met with us a few days before to go over what we wanted. We had a "bride or groom" drinking game in mind, and they not only made some great suggestions to improve the game, but paid careful attention to the details (for example, making sure they had our name pronunciation down right... this seems like a no brainer, but not everyone thinks to ask). Gil facilitated the game and it was a big hit! We had so much fun and very happy to recommend NDMixx to the next people planning a wedding or party on Oahu.

Absolutely amazing DJ!! Played songs we totally forgot about that we loved. We had an extensive must play list and we had no problems and had them all played with many other that we were pleasantly surprised by. You need to hire them you will not be dissapointed.

ND Mixx is an excellent choice! !
We came from Canada. .met up with them a few days before the wedding. .and they were so laid back but extremely professional. We were not worried about anything based on that meeting.
On the day of the wedding Fran and Gil were amazing.
We had them for the entire day...music and MC.
They took all my wishes and made it work!
I never got off the dance floor :) and all my guests raved about the music. .great choices to fit the crowd.

Amazing amazing! I am a Wedding Planner from Los Angeles who planned a destination wedding in Haleiwa, Hawaii. Luckily, with experience, I was able to pull my first and my own destination wedding with out a sweat. However, I did get down to really reading customer reviews of all vendors I decided to commit to. Finding this DJ was easy peasy because it seemed like NDMixx was in every Hawaiian wedding posts/social media out there plus they had such great customer reviews- which is so important to me coming from a service provider as well. They made our wedding day SO much FUN! and playful! Gil and Fran was such a pleasure to work with for our wedding. They felt like family and was so accommodating. We first heard of NDMixx through online reviews and liked what we saw. We decided to meet with them and a few other vendors. What NDMixx did that no other vendors were able to do was listen to our needs. Gil and Fran understood exactly what we were looking for and with their combined team with Emcee Glenn did an amazing job for our wedding. They were able to meet with us and keep all appointments, able to also give us valuable professional pointers to help us plan our special event. We booked them for MC and DJ services for our wedding day (both ceremony and reception) and everything was superb! We can't rave enough about N-D Mixx Productions - from our 1st meeting to our wedding ceremony through the reception - they were fantastic! They had everyone from teens to "middle agers" on the dance floor and people walking by on the beach started dancing too! Had every single song we wanted and the entire evening was great fun. N-D Mixx was not only my DJ, but also provided uplighting and Gil was my emcee for my wedding. I was planning our wedding from Washington state, but my husband and I is originally from Hawaii, so it was challenging to plan an out of state wedding. Fran was awesome to work with, she handles a lot of the booking and e-mails for the company. She responds quick via email and they both worked with pricing with me. I met with Fran and Gil one week prior to my wedding, and they are such a great team. They are easy to work with and they will ask appropriate questions to make my wedding go smoothly. I loved working with them, and I want to thank my cousin who highly recommended them for my wedding, since they did hers.

I can't thank them enough on how beautiful the uplighting was, I got compliments about the songs they played, and how great the emcee was. Thank you so much!

Fran & Gil are awesome! We used ND Mixx for our wedding this past March. Music is so important to me on so many levels and I was a little worried being a destination bride coming to an area where I don't know any DJ's emcees Etc. Fran & Gill took that worry away from me right when we started working together. Fran helped me picked out traditional wedding songs to walk down the aisle too and they even met us at our hotel before the wedding to go over the songs and music we would like. The music was perfect the emcee (Gil) was perfect and everything ran so incredible smooth. If anyone needs advice on vendors and where to get married in Oahu, this is the people you want to work with! trust me :)

This review is about 5 months over-due. So happy to have Fran and Gil take care of us. Music sets the mood for almost everything and Gil is an excellent DJ that keeps the party moving without any dead spots. Our MC - Glenn, kept everything organized and entertained. He brings the right amount of humor and seriousness throughout the night.

Gil was the DJ and MC at our wedding. Gil and Fran work perfectly together to provide an end to end seamless experience. They met with us initially via video conference, they corresponded conveniently through email to organize the details and met with us once again the week of the wedding to finalize the program for the ceremony and reception. The music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing after dinner was on point and we had many guests comment the DJ/MC played great music and was really funny and charming.

Our wedding planner referred us to N-D Mixx, what an awesome referral! We booked Gil for our Ceremony, Reception, and as our MC.

From the get go Fran & Gil were amazing to work with! Super quick at responding to emails and phone calls and they both made the process smooth. We really liked the music questionnaire they had us fill out. It definitely made us think of what songs we wanted played at the wedding, something we kind of left on the back burner until a month before. We ended up having a huge list of songs we wanted played and quite a mix of genres. I also had a surprise hula for my husband, and Fran & Gil helped me keep it a surprise and keep the song a secret!

Being a destination wedding, we were able to meet with Fran & Gil just a few days before the wedding to go over final music choices and the layout of the wedding. After that meeting we walked away knowing we made the right choice on choosing N-D Mixx not only as our DJ but as our MC. We felt like we had a connection with Fran & Gil which was awesome!

On the day of the wedding we didn't have to worry about anything! The ceremony music was perfect, Gil was a fabulous MC who kept the flow of the wedding on time, and the reception music was awesome! All of our pre-requested songs were played at one point throughout the night and the dance floor was never empty! Our flower girl literally didn't leave the dance floor the whole night, and there were people on the dance floor busting moves even though they never dance at weddings!

One of my favourite parts of the wedding is during dinner when you played an old school Frank Sinatra song. I was sitting dancing and humming to the music, and took a moment to take it all in. That song mixed with our stunning venue, flowers and décor…I instantly felt like I was in a movie! Best moment of the whole night! Thank you for playing that song at the perfect time I will never forget it!

Gil and Fran were AMAZING. They were one of our venue's preferred vendors and now I know why. N-D Mixx Productions was the perfect complement to our perfect wedding. My wife and I are probably the most particular of people, especially when it comes to our unwavering stance on genre of music to match very specific occasions. We are two people who firmly believe that with the right music, you can do no wrong, and with the wrong music, you can do no right. With that said, Gil was nothing short of awesome. Our basic request to him was simple. "nothing corny". Our taste and suggestions to Gil was deeply diverse, so much, such that most DJ's wouldn't have a clue how to put it all together and more importantly when to put it all together. We are always amazed at how many weddings we've been to and just walk away thinking that the party would've best been served without a live DJ. That was absolutely not the case with Gil. He came highly recommended, but from our previous experiences as guests at other weddings, we did have our doubts. If you're as picky as we are and have similarly been unimpressed by the music at other weddings, then we suggest you come up with a very strict playlist and do not let the DJ veer from that list. If on the other hand, you want to have your expectations surpassed and remember your wedding as the most special night of your life, then do consider working with Gil for your wedding or any other type of venue for that matter. If you want someone who is blessed with creativity and the type of vision who can capture the "feeling" of that one special night in your life, then you can do no wrong putting Gil on the turntables. Very simply, he caught the perfect song to match the perfect moods throughout the night. Gil could rock a party with the best of them. Our taste in music is deeply diverse and Gil is rightfully, just as diverse in his ability to spin all different types of genres. We wholeheartedly recommended Gil for his talent, honesty, professionalism, and downright dopeness.

N-D Mixx productions keeps the party going! Our guests had a blast and danced until the very last song. Over three weeks later, people are still talking about it and we still receive compliments about how fun our wedding was and N-D Mixx was a huge contributor to our success!

We love Gil and Fran! Gil and Fran are the type of people that you want to continue to meet with, even after the wedding! They both have such a great sense of humor! Any questions we had prior to the wedding were answered immediately. They are so professional, honest, hard-working and trustworthy. I had no worries about the flow of the reception on my big day. They took care of it all and the ballroom looked so beautiful.

The services we used were: sound system for the ceremony, slide show projectors for the reception, emcee and DJ services, uplighting, and monogram. They made the sound system so easy to plug in for our musician to play during the ceremony and cocktail hour. The sound was clear and our musician truly appreciated not having to bring his own sound equipment. The slide show projectors they brought were placed on each side of the sweetheart table. The size of the projectors and clarity of the photos was perfect. The Emcee also had a great sense of humor and positive energy that had everybody smiling and laughing. We choose a nice green uplighting with a monogram on the back wall. We absolutely loved it!

If I could get married every year, I would work with Fran and Gil every time! They know the business well and are extremely easy to work with. Their services are budget friendly and of high quality that you can't find anywhere else!

Fran & Gil are amazing at what they do. We demanded a lot from them and they came through. We choose them for our DJ & Emcee service because of their quick responses through e- mail. Gil and Fran were so great to work with. They provided sound for our outdoor wedding at Ko'olau and DJ music for the reception. They were really easy to work with. Our pre-wedding meetings were casual and friendly. They had great recommendations for us and helped us walk through some things to think about as far as music for the big day. Their online form helped make sure we didn't forget anything too. Gil is really accomodating to last minute changes. He kept the dance floor going all night with kids, 20 somethings, and even older folks! And most of us can't dance to begin with. Gil and Fran are FANTASTIC! Excellent price, professional services, and so easy to work with. We had our wedding at Turtle Bay Resort, and Gil and Fran always made time to make the long drive up to meet with us when we were there for planning. Gil has tons of experience because we was a radio DJ for many years, and even though we didn't give him a lot of direction for our music choices for the dance time at our wedding, he kept the party moving! For the songs we did choose, he downloaded all of them if he didn't already have them, including an obscure song my grooms mom wanted for their dance together. Gil also emceed the party and he got everyone's name right, kept the party flowing and on schedule and upbeat. I can't say enough good things about them! And you definitely can't beat their price. These guys know what they are doing! This dynamic team is not only professional but also super friendly! I definitely relied on their experience. They listened to my program theme of the bride and groom serenading eachother & Gil and Fran answered all of my questions and eased all of my concerns at the pre-wedding meeting by being prepared to play any type of media and Gil having done soundchecks for bands which would help me with my guitar performance. They are very open and responsive. Even a couple days before the wedding, I emailed Gil that I was having problems with the mic that we were practicing with. He was able to mix the guitar and vocals on the day of and did a great job--their background and experience definitely helped with "working on the fly". N-D Mixx Productions provided DJ services for our wedding in August at Loulu Palms Estate. We had a friend of a friend commit to the job, but we had not heard from him months before the date. A couple weeks prior to the event, in a panic we contacted other DJs that worked on the island. Fran email me right away and we decided to go with them. After panicking about our investment, Fran definitely gained our confidence. We received emails back right away (within hours!). The week of, we met at a Starbucks to go over some stuff for our wedding. With every question, Gil read my wife and I's mind. We would give him an idea of what we were thinking and he knew exactly the perfect song.
The day of the wedding I had anticipated a lot of work to prepare, but like the other vendors, He just told me to grab a beer and relax. Everything was taken care of. Because of our budget, we were going to use a portable Ipod player as the Bride walked down the Isle, Fran and Gil hooked us up and gave us complimentary ceremony service to help us out. Gil provided a Mic for the officiant and a speaker so everyone could actually hear. Of course we were late and never got a run through for the ceremony or entrances, but he was on top of it all, music was on cue for everything. It was absolutely seamless.
The compliments we got about our wedding weren't "awesome" or "a lot of fun", everyone told us our wedding was absolutely "Perfect"! N-D Mixx was responsible for that. He kept the party going until closing time, and everyone had a blast. Everything was perfect and we didn't have to worry about a thing. They are at a very competitive price for the island, and you get your money's worth for sure. If you decide to book with them, you can rest assured your event will go off without a hitch on their end.

We hired Fran and Gil to DJ the music for our ceremony and reception and emcee our wedding at Sunset Ranch in Haleiwa, Hawaii. Since my husband and I live in NY, we had to do all our correspondence through email. Fran and Gil were quick to respond to all our questions and needs and were very accommodating to our music tastes (we had quite a few EDM/Trap/Indie tracks). They even dug up a disco ball for us upon our request. Our wedding day went smoothly, a large part due to Fran and Gil's familiarity with the Sunset Ranch grounds and easy going attitudes. My husband sent over extensive lists of songs that he wanted them to play for our recessional, cocktail hour, cake cutting, garter/bouquet toss, first dance, and dancing portion of the evening. They accommodated everything we asked for and the additional songs they chose worked well with our tastes. Gil was also our emcee and ensured that every event transitioned smoothly. He even took the time to explain to the crowd a personal tradition that we included with our cake cutting ceremony. I think that shows how much they paid attention to the little details during our hectic day :)

We were referred to ND-Mixx (Fran and Gil) by our photographer Nick Pugay. They offer great service and they took care of all of our DJ and Audio needs. They set up multiple mics to accommodate our ceremony and musicians. They also got the dance floor going with a great mix of music that appealed to all ages. The helped to make our night memorable and all for a great price. You can't go wrong with them on your big day!

I had a destination wedding at Turtle Bay Resort. It was very easy to communicate with NdMixx via email & responsiveness was quick. They did an awesome job during our wedding. All the guests danced the whole entire time! Music was great! We provided a type & list of music & Gil followed it. We had the best time at our wedding!! Gil and Fran were great to work with for our wedding reception in Ko Olina. Because we were from the mainland, we were only able to meet a day before the wedding. From that quick meeting, they easily put together uplighting which made the ambiance wonderful, a great playlist that kept the dance floor going, and a great overall experience for the wedding. They were very professional, showing up early to set up, and leaving without a mess. This is an amazing DJ to work with! We planned our wedding from California so picking out vendors wasn't easy. They were very helpful and responsive. They even drove to the other side of the island for our first (and only) meeting a few days before the big day!! We discussed our music likes and dislikes and they got a feel of our style. Fran and Gil did a wonderful job DJ-ing for our ceremony and wedding. My wedding coordinator recommended them as the best on the island and she was right! Their rates were affordable and their service was great. We handed them a list of our songs and the vibe we wanted for cocktail hour and dancing. They did a great job finding songs to go with the vibe--there were people dancing during cocktail hour, dinner and all night! Gill was awsome! Way above and beyond what we had expected. We met with him and gave some ideas and he took it and made it spectacular. Fran and Gil were a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. We decided on ND Mixx among a few other DJ's we were interested in because of the straightforward, no-nonsense pricing listed on their website. Others quoted us less at first, but were about the same or more in the end. We didn't like the surprises. Also, Fran is VERY quick to respond. We never sent a message that didn't get a response within 12 hours. That was very reassuring as we were planning an island wedding from Virginia.

Our experience with ND was equally awesome once we arrived on island. Fran and Gil were very flexible in meeting with us ahead of the event to see the venue and coordinate special needs and requests (i.e. projector screen set-up) and despite a few hiccups in the evening program on our part, Gil was very good about improvising and making things feel smooth and natural. It goes without saying, we highly recommend Fran and Gil and ND Mixx. Mahalo for exceeding our expectations!

We used N-D Mixx for our DJ and Emcee. Gil and Fran were an absolute pleasure to work with. They were very accommodating and are such nice people. We planned our wedding from California so almost all communication was done through email and phone. Fran responds to emails almost immediately. I was very impressed with her promptness. When we arrived on Oahu, we met with Gil to finalize our timeline. He had lots of great ideas and made me feel at ease about the reception. He played all the songs we requested and kept our timeline moving along.

I can't say enough great things about Gil, Fran and N-D Mixx Productions! I planned my wedding (in Hawaii) from Chicago and they were extremely responsive and receptive to every email/call in a very timely fashion. They did everything I asked of them and the wedding was absolutely perfect!! We never stopped dancing and all the guests had a blast. They honored every single request that I had! As i was a destination bride and i had to rely on my wedding coordinator to recommend a DJ and i could not have asked for a better recommendation then N-D Mixx. Fran & Gil were so easy to work with and nothing was any trouble at all especially as we were combining two cultures and needed different nationality music. N-D Mixx was very easy to work with! Gil, was a fantastic emcee and kept the program moving along and on time. The music was amazing as they played songs from my eclectic list of music-I requested songs from Weezer, Billy Joel and Green Day for the cocktail hour and they played it! The dance portion was high energy and they mixed the oldies songs I wanted with modern sounds and it was amazing. Everyone had an amazing night! I'm glad I chose N-D Mixx for my DJ!

I could not have been happier with the DJ/MC services provided by N-D Mixx! If you want a fun, personal, stress-free wedding where every guest is on the dance floor, then you definitely want to book them, too!

I live in California and was planning my Hawaii wedding with no local contacts, so I was a bit nervous about booking vendors without having a chance to meet them in person. However, after being referred to Gil and Fran through L'Amour Photography, I instantly knew that I wanted to go with N-D Mixx. Gil provided all of the music/equipment for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, as well as for the slideshow presentation that we had during dinner. Fran and Gil are committed to providing the highest quality of service and, in the unlikely event that their music library doesn't have what you're looking for, they will go out and get it for you (at no extra charge)!

Fran was extremely responsive with emails and always got back to me within 24 hours. Gil was fantastic in every way and truly listened to our input with regards to ceremony music and our do/do not play lists for the reception. I was a little nervous because we had a mix of young and old, Filipino and Caucasian guests, but he was able to please everyone with his music selections and keep the party going until midnight!

I would definitely choose N-D Mixx over and over again! Their prices are a steal and you get so much more than you pay for - thanks in large part to them, the guests and the hotel staff all said that it was the best wedding they'd ever been to!

We planned most of our wedding while living off-island. Picking music was something I was nervous about doing without meeting with people in person. We found N-D Mixx on theknot and contacted them. Gil and Fran responded immediately with all the information we needed. They were so accommodating, straight-forward, and pleasant to work with. After conversations via email and on the phone, I knew that we wanted to book them because of their professionalism and courtesy. Gil met with me in person during the week before the wedding to set everything up and he put me totally at ease. He was personable, friendly, and very knowledgeable. We gave them a list of music we wanted played and he planned the order, added a few extras that fit in perfectly, and took requests. I was totally amazed at how well the music went. Fran and Gil make such a great team! It was so easy working with them via email and a few telephone calls all the way from South Korea! The reception went flawlessly - Clark and I were both extremely pleased. The cost was also extremely reasonable compared to some other DJs that wanted to charge double the price. Fran and Gil were awesome! I don't even know where to start...

Gil was our DJ and MC for our destination wedding and he was perfect. He provided us some great worksheets beforehand to think about what we wanted during the wedding and ceremony and what types of music we wanted. The music he played was just what we asked for and more! He knew exactly what to play to keep people having fun and dancing all night.

Since this was a destination wedding at a private house Gil even took a trip out to the house beforehand to check out the layout of the place and get some ideas for us on how the layout of the wedding would work best. That was a huge help since we were on the mainland!

Fran is the one that we communicated with back and forth with email and she was great! Very quick to respond and very helpful with all my questions. You can tell that the 2 of them have been doing this for years.

I would highly recommend them for any of your music needs. They truely made our wedding great! Thanks again Fran and Gil!!!

Fran and Gil were great to work with. They were very responsive and helpful, which is a plus when you're planning a Waikiki wedding from San Jose. We communicated mainly through e-mail, and they never took more than a day to reply.

Gil was both our DJ and MC. Granted, we exhibited classic control freak tendencies, providing a complete playlist and a detailed timeline. But Gil reviewed our plans to make sure it would flow, and even provided suggestions for some fun games. And when the day came, flow it did.

As an MC, Gil's style is more natural, without much of a polished sheen. He kept things professional, low key, with a bit of restrained humor here and there. That was exactly how we wanted it. He kept the program moving without any prompting from us. We also had a slideshow for our guests that he handled with only a small hiccup.

Gil played everything we wanted, moving smoothly from song to song. At the end of the night, everyone was dancing (or some resemblance thereof). He probably snuck in some songs to fill out our playlist, but his choices were appropriate and we didn't notice.

We would highly recommend ND Mixx if you're planning a destination wedding. They were definitely one less vendor we had to worry about.

Finding a DJ was a challenge for me, my family just does not dance - they never have since I was a child. I wanted a party and my family just wanted music to be the background so Gil took the challenge and made them dance - I could not believe it - the music was fun and people could not resist. I have never seen so many people out on the dance floor during any of my family gatherings but this was the exception. For dinner, Gil played old Hawaiian music which they loved - my 90-year-old auntie came up to me during the wedding and told me she loved the music. Then he played swing, country and rock, everyone was having fun! His games were so much fun and his change of music at key points in the reception really made it exciting - thank you so much Gil! Highly recommended for those "difficult to please" families!

Wow... Fran and Gil are the two most awesome and amazing people you will ever be fortunate enough to use!!
I found them whilst researching on the knot. Right from the start they impressed me with their flexibility, knowledge and help. My husband and I got married at the Ihilani, however I planned the wedding from the UK. They never missed an email and were so unbelievably helpful. When my wedding singer failed me for the first time they went out of their way to help us find a new one, and when my second one failed me a week before our wedding, we met with them in Oahu and they fixed the problem, by setting up two systems in two different locations of the Ihilani, and the price was amazing!
My husband and I couldnt be more thankful to them! They made the planning process easy!
As far as the reception goes, well lets just say we had an amazing party! They got every random song my family, our friends and we picked, and somehow made them flow!
My husband owns a bar in the UK, and if we had DJ's like him every party would be the best!! In fact we had to try and chill out the tables cause they were dancing from the start of the meal til 1am!
I would suggest you book them in a heartbeat! In fact one of my bridesmaids got engaged the day after our wedding and they are considering going to Hawaii for the wedding so they can have as fun a party as we did!

My wife and I planned for our Hawaiian Wedding, which was on July 16, 2009, from where we live in New Jersey. We had everything set except for the master of ceremony for our reception. We had a specific program we wanted to follow and we needed someone to execute it not only with precision and professionalism, but also with a friendly, down-to-earth personality.

My sister referred us to N-D Mixx Productions. We got a very good first impression from the first phone call and felt comfortable to book them while we were still in New Jersey. When we arrived in Hawai'i, we met with Gil Magbual only once and it was four days before our wedding. He reviewed our reception program, offered some suggestions, but mainly kept to our original plan. He said he had it all under control and we never worried!

At our reception, he was flawless! His transitions were smooth, the music was perfect and his coordination with the entire staff at Halekulani, our musicians, hula dancers, florist and photographers was meticulous. He was very engaging with our guests and his well-timed humor had them laughing! Our families and friends, mostly from the mainland and Guam, had a lot of great comments about Gil! Months of planning on our part were orchestrated to perfection by Gil in four hours! He made it a very happy and very memorable day for everyone!

We highly recommend N-D Mixx Productions for any event, especially for a wedding reception. They are truly dependable and professional and their service is unparalleled with the Aloha Spirit!
