Amanda Sent on 09/26/2017I am so glad I came across My Arrangements Inspired by Lola Rose. Nickell was very responsive in discussing details and helpful in advising ideas for our bouquets. The bridal bouquet featured some bejeweled flowers and I received many compliments on them. I was very pleased with the flowers and the value! -

Denesha Sent on 07/17/2018I do not recommend. I wish I read some of the more recent reviews before booking. It was extremely hard to contact to the florist. Phone messages were not answered. We were very disappointed with the quality of the floral arrangements. The flowers were not fresh when they arrived; some already were browned around the edges. All of the flowers were just all roses, no filler, no greenery, just bunches of roses. Nickell told me how she made beautiful romantic sweetheart tables, with rose petals and candles. I was excited until I walked into my reception and saw my effortless table with one lone centerpiece on the table. Likewise the cake table just had a bouquet stuck in a glass vase with a bouquet in it. I hardly call that "decorating the cake table." I was just hoping my guests did not notice just how bad my florals were. I cannot in good conscience recommend this business. The only positive thing is she was flexible when I added more tables. If this is the one florist that you can afford, skip fresh flowers all together or consider DIY. -

I wrote my review about Nickell from my June 22nd wedding already and still wouldn't recommend her to my worst enemy. I am currently in the process of suing her for the money she TOOK from us and never returned (we are four months out and she has been completely silent - mail is returned undeliverable, and calls/texts go unanswered).
This review is for anyone having doubts. I keep seeing these awful reviews from others and they are NOT FAKE. My email is alison.greco1@gmail.com and if you want to hear from me reach out, I will call you, I will show you my contracts with her, every piece of communication between us, I have it all and will prove it's legit. I am sorry this keeps happening.
If you are looking for a florist that will not show up, be unresponsive, give you the wrong items, make you feel like you're not an important client, won't listen to you, and lies constantly Nickell is the woman for you. -

I cannot recommend Nickell to anyone. We booked her and were very excited to work with her. Her reviews at the time were amazing and she seemed professional enough. However as we got about 8 months out all of the horrible reviews came in. Nickell was extremely difficult to get hold of after we signed our contract with her and paid for it full (she extended a discount if paid in full). I feel as though it was out of sight out of mind once we paid. She promised mock ups 6 and 3 months out. It took us 3 months just to get an appointment out of her. She was extremely unresponsive. We would have to call, text, or email multiple times before we could get an answer. We would go weeks without an answer. She attempted to cancel a meeting on us an hour before it was supposed to start claiming she didn't know the time or location of the meeting and failed to deliver the mock ups as promised. We scheduled another meeting to get the mocks which she then turned around and cancelled that morning with one of her famous excuses. We spent a month (all of September and first week of October) attempting to get a hold of her. Emails, texts, voicemails all unanswered and we had absolutely no idea what anything was going to look like or if she'd even show up. TWO days before the wedding we get a horrible, unprofessional email from Nickell (or someone pretending to work for her) saying she is cancelling our contract. She claims she tried to refund the money but it was all through PayPal and PayPal notifies the customers when refunds are attempted. She never attempted to refund the money. Two days before the wedding we had to somehow throw together everything! She gave us the information for another florist who happened to be available but looking into that florist her reviews were worse than Nickell's. We expressed our concerns to Nickell in August when she cancelled a meeting with us. We got back an excuse filled email about how she hired staff that turned south and how the reviews from previous clients had been addressed. Our concerns went in one ear and right out the other because she went right back to ignoring those who had hired her.
Please stay away! Do not hire Nickell. She is unprofessional and will run off with your money. She does not know how to run a business and if you read the review that was posted over the weekend she won't show up. Luckily we had a feeling this was going to be the case with us and we had back up arrangements ready to go. Every guest in attendance at our wedding was told exactly what she did and has been warned to stay far away from her. In fact one of our other vendors has banned her from doing business together. Our venue has been given her information and knows to warn others about her as well.
Nickell has no idea how to run a professional and successful business. I'm sorry to say that it will quickly fail. Please do your research and read all the reviews. -

Lily Sent on 10/17/2018WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Lied about SO many things, had to open a charge dispute.
After reading 2 other brides reviews for 10/13 (our wedding date) I felt as though I should also share my story. We paid in full because she extended a 20% discount in August of 2017. She told me she only wanted to book one wedding that day and had 3 other people interested in it so naturally I bid the bullet and hire her. Now I see she had 2 other brides that she didn't even show up for!!! Nickell was initially great! Very responsive, sounded excited about our ideas etc. I watched these reviews like a hawk. When she was supposed to come to our venue visit I hadn't heard from her in weeks. She called me the day of saying she was locked out of all of her accounts/websites etc and was glad I left a voicemail so she could get in touch with me. She then asked if we could reschedule (the venue is 2 hours from where I live so it was obviously a no and I also had about $700 worth of personal items to give to use to use for decor). She did show up and everything was fine again, I figured maybe it was my bride anxiety getting the best of me, maybe a few other brides who had left not so great reviews were over reacting....Then she sort of fell off the face of the earth and the bad reviews just kept coming. She was very hard to get in touch with on the phone, someone was always in the hospital or some crazy reason that she couldn't talk. I woke the morning of my bridal shower to 2 new terrible reviews....So I decided that we would cancel her services and eat whatever deposit because at least I wouldn't have to worry up until the day of. Well THANK GOD we did and we did when we did because getting our money and my things back was an actual nightmare. She claimed she had sent a request to refund me through PayPal...I run a small business....there is no request to refund...you literally just refund.......it never came. I called, emailed, texted her every days for almost 4 weeks and no answer. She finally accidentally answered one of my phone calls I called once and it went straight to VM so I called again and she answered calling me someone else name (Angela I believe?) I asked her where she'd been and said I was prepared to call the local police to file a stolen items report for my things and explained, I just wanted my things and my agreed upon amount back....she said she had sent my things weeks ago but there was no tracking LOL anything over 1lb automatically has a tracking number (which I informed her about since once again I run a small business and ship 30 things a week)...then she said it was all returned "due to postage"?. I schooled her on how UPS?Fedex/USPS work and stayed on her all night her phone died and she didn't ship that night as promised and I left her a million texts and VMs asking why she would do this to a person who literally just wants their things and their half of the deposit back) sent me most of my things the next day, some of which arrived broken....then I had to work with my family to go to her office and get the remaining items back/...AT THIS POINT I STILL HADN'T BEEN REFUNDED OR EVEN TALKED TO ABOUT GETTING MY MONEY BACK. So I opened up a credit card/paypal case for a full charge dispute which I won (shocker). I ended up DIYing everything and it was amazing. To any brides. who this didn't work out for I am so sorry that this happened to you and I hope you had an amazing wedding day regardless! My personal recommendation if you have already hired her is it do your best to get out, don't let her slide, and have a back up. I don't think Nickell is a bad person, we all have hardships, but I would NOT recommend her company. I just don't understand why she would do this to so many people. -

I have never written a bad review ever but felt compelled to write this one in an attempt to warn other couples NOT to hire Nickell Thomas for your wedding. Nickell Thomas must be Out of Business. We hired her in Dec 2017. My daughter's wedding was October 7, 2018. All of the reviews for My Arrangements Inspired By Lola Rose were wonderful at that time. Nickell seemed to understand what we wanted and she was reasonable. It was not a big job. We needed a Chuppah, bouquet and boutonnieres and help setting up our centerpieces. We had confidence that she could do a good job for us. I gave her a 50% deposit. As time came closer to the wedding I contacted Nickell. She missed our walk through wedding venue visit. She rescheduled and did come to the venue. As time came closer I tried reaching her about what type of flowers we would have and logistics for the wedding, She never returned my repeated phone calls, emails and texts. Finally, at 2 weeks before the wedding I decided to lose the deposit and hire a Chuppah Rental Company and a Florist.
Today I read a review that said that she never showed up for a wedding on October 13th, the weekend after my daughter's wedding. I was shocked to think that she would not have shown up at my daughters wedding. There would not have been a Chuppah (a wedding canopy) or a bridal bouquet for my daughter's wedding.
I sent her an overnight letter of cancellation and a stamped letter to be sure that she got it. Both were returned as undeliverable to her address. I even offered that she could provide flowers to the rehearsal dinner instead to use the deposit that I had already given her. I have still never heard from her. I knew that she was not very good at communicating, but always thought that she would do a good job for her brides... but to NOT show up for a wedding is unforgiveable. Please be warned!!!!!! If I could give less than a 1 star rating I would have done that.
