We absolutely loved having our wedding at Muskegon Country Club. The views alone sold us—it feels tucked away and peaceful, with the prettiest backdrop for photos. The inside space is bright and clean, and it didn’t take much decorating to make it feel special. The staff was super easy to work with and kept everything running smoothly so I could actually relax and enjoy the day. Our guests kept talking about how good the food was, too. If you’re looking for a place that’s beautiful, stress-free, and doesn’t feel overly “stuffy,” MCC is such a great choice.

This is a must-do location! Located on a spectacular golf course, and with panoramic lake views of Muskegon Lake. The planning staff and people working the event did an amazing job leading up to the event, during the event, and even after with thoughtful follow ups. You will not regret this location.

Had a wonderful evening celebrating 50th birthday for wife and her twin sister and thank Tracey for helping us plan the event and the servers for all their great service and friendliness.

The Golfview Room at the Muskegon Country Club turned out to be a wonderful choice for our 50th wedding anniversary luncheon. The food, service and view were fantastic. The planning process went smoothly. We received many compliments on our event and would recommend MCC to others looking for a great place to celebrate an occasion.

Had a lovely evening with about 20 guests overlooking the lake! Drinks and food were awesome!

My husband and I are very simple. We just wanted a clean and comfortable place to bring family together on our wedding day. We reserved a room overlooking the beautiful gold course. It was an absolute hit! It worked out perfectly for our needs. The staff was so flexible and really matched our "vibe" . They were able to be professional and stay laid back with us. Wonderful staff, setup, and location!!!

Our buffet reception was terrific! The food was of high quality, plentiful, and served beautifully. Working with Jean from afar was easy. She is very efficient and timely in her responses. The room was just the right size for 40 people and I appreciated her flexibility in allowing us to have different sized tables for varying sized groups who wanted to sit together.

Would greatly recommend for your family gathering great food bueatiful view. Would definitely use Muskegon Country Club again!

This was a perfect venue for our wedding, we had a small group however they also had a big wedding in the other event space the same night and the service was great even with a full house.

Absolutely loved our event at Muskegon Country Club in the Lakeshore Ballroom! The space is lovely and we loved the outdoor access with the views of Muskegon Lake from the huge deck area. Working with the sales/planning team was fantastic, and their price points were exactly what we were looking for. Service was excellent throughout the event, too! Our guests were very impressed as many of them hadn’t been to this venue before.

I recently used Redwater Events to host an event for 100 people at the Muskegon Country Club/Lake Bluff Grille. Sarah was very responsive and was wonderful to work with. The event space worked out well for our size group and had it been in the summer time or anytime it wasn't snowing, we would've utilized the patio overlooking beautiful Muskegon lake.

Highly recommended them for a wedding or anniversary celebration. They did a great job communicating with me on the details of the event. The service was amazing!

Everything went so smoothly! The sales staff was very quick to answer emails and phone calls. They were so easy to work with all of the changes we wanted to make. Day of everything went perfectly and I didn't have to worry about anything.

The staff was so accommodating. any time I needed to add or change something about my event, they may the necessary changes. Very kind, and knowledgeable staff. The food was go GOOD!!!! The view from our room was so beautiful! It made my event that much more special!.

We hosted a wonderful dinner party for a group of 85 ladies from a local philanthropic group. Everything was just as we asked for and the food was wonderful. The chef even halped us create a custom dish to serve. It was lovely.

The venue is just beautiful for a small gathering. We had 27 people, but I'm sure this room overlooking the golf course holds more and they have bigger rooms. The food was great as was the service. I would definitely recommend Muskegon Country Club as your venue!

Our reception was at the Muskegon Country Club and it was an absolute dream. The food was phenomenal, the ballroom was gorgeous and perfectly put together and the staff treated us so well. The communication leading up to the reception was timely and professional. The weather was so perfect that the guests spent most of the night on the beautiful deck overlooking the lake!

My husband Tyler and I had the best wedding day at the Muskegon Country Club! We got married on the deck and continued the reception inside the gorgeous ballroom. The food was amazing and the staff was very attentive!! We have nothing but great things to say!

Rebecca and Chef did a great job setting up everything for my wedding. They had everything set up at the right time and in the right place, the food was phenomenal and the bartenders did a really great job. We had our ceremony on the deck and the views were beautiful!! Very highly recommended!

We chose to have my reception at the Muskegon Country Club as it simply provided the best combination of great service, incredible flexibility and hands down the best views in Western Michigan. The team worked with my family and I to accommodate every request and every detail. I live out of the state which didn't provide any issues whatsoever. In the end, every detail was perfect and was a day I will never forget!

OUr son's rehearsal dinner was held here and it was fabulous. The food was above expectations it was so good. The atmosphere was perfect (beautiful!) and the staff was so helpful, professional and courteous. I would recommend this to anyone that is looking for a high class experience.

Our reception at the Muskegon Country Club was amazing! The view is incredible, and people loved having a covered patio to watch the sunset from. The service leading up to the event was fantastic- quick communication and very helpful. The service day-of was also so helpful and friendly. The only comment was that the food was slow to come out, which impacted our timeline. Other than that, we had an excellent experience here! Highly recommend.

This was a nearly perfect space for our ceremony. We rented out the side yard for an outdoor wedding - when first checking out the space it seemed small, but they put up smaller dividers and when the chairs are out it looks perfect. Sarah worked with us to make sure our day was perfect. They were very accommodating with our request to do a champagne toast and any other requests we had.

We loved having our wedding at the country club. A few of our guests even said that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. The food was amazing and the serving staff did a really great job. The day was kind of a blur for me, but I'm told that they were keeping drinks full even on the balcony. Speaking of the balcony, amazing views! The ceremony up there was very pretty and it was really nice to do the ceremony and reception all in one place. The only drawback we saw was on price. Not that the in-house catering wasnt worth the cost (so tasty) but we probably would have shopped around for lower price pointed options if we had the choice.

I worked with Rebecca and she was absolutely amazing. She was always patient with me and gave me suggestions multiple times on other vendors in the area. She made things simple and easy and was always kind to me and my family. The venue was affordable, yet surrounded by lake and golf course. The setting was stunning and perfect. I would work with Muskegon Country Club again if I had the chance!

The country club was a beautiful venue for our June wedding. However the day of, it rained consistently but the staff was very helpful with keeping my dream of an outdoor ceremony happening. My only complaint is getting ready in the locker rooms at the club since the air conditioning was not working and it was 80 degrees the entire morning which is not ideal for hair and makeup.

The planning was easy and the day of staff was kind, helpful and professional. It helped the night go off without a hitch!

We hosted our wedding ceremony and reception at Muskegon Country Club. From the physical location itself to the staff and food, everything went really well. We would definitely recommend hosting your wedding here. Unfortunately it was difficult to get in contact with staff quickly leading up to the wedding (phone calls always went to voicemail).

They could have prepared better for us to have our event (cleanliness, day or organization) but overall working Sarah on planning was great.

OUr experience at our son's rehearsal dinner was amazing. The food was awesome. And the desserts blew us away. Staff and coordinator were top notch and it was basically a dream like dinner for everyone!

We had our company dinner here. The food, venue, and event manager were great! The service during the event was not as great. We had a guest not get served for 45 minutes as well as long periods of time without a bartender.

What this place did to my son and his fiance was unconscionable and unprofessional! They had planned to have their wedding reception at Muskegon Country Club (MCC) for August 2020, however, it had to be cancelled due to Covid. So they rescheduled a date to have their reception at MCC in 2021 right away to ensure they could be accommodated for the following year. Once a new date was set with MCC the dates for everything else had to be changed to coincide with the new reception date. You can imagine what a headache that was! In late December 2020, my son received a call from the Country Club cancelling AGAIN, not due to Covid, but simply because they are shutting down to renovate. The board decided not to honor the contract they had with them. (Of course, the contract had specific consequences if the wedding couple cancels, but nothing in there about the venue cancelling.) The deposit that the Country Club held for two years was returned to them. (Gee, thanks!) My son and his fiance were left again with no reception and had to scramble to find a venue, which was not an easy task as a lot of couples were in the same predicament due to Covid and had had to reschedule. And, if they could not find a venue for the same date, they would pretty much be replanning their wedding for the third time! There is NO good reason why contracts could not be honored for 2021 and the renovation wait until after these events. I cannot understand how the members of the board could justify cancelling on people again, knowing the hardship it would cause them. It was bad enough that Covid ruined their initial plans, but to "pull the rug" out from under them again and then think that simply giving back the deposit that MCC held for two years relieved them of responsibility is appalling and shows what kind of people are running this establishment. If I help plan a wedding in the future, I will ensure that the contract spells out consequences for an establishment should they choose to cancel. I will not trust that my event is safe from cancellation just because I make a deposit.
