We had an excellent experience from initial contact all the way to the last song at our ceremony! MusicMasters/Dan and Sue are great to work with in getting our contract set up and walking us through the portal to start curating our custom playlist/timeline/etc. We also thoroughly enjoyed working with DJ Brent! He was attentive/responsive to our needs and adapted as needed to make sure everything moved smoothly. HIGHLY recommend!!

You Want to Work with Them

As stated in the title, you want to work with them. Dan stepped in last minute to help us out as our original DJ dropped. From his correspondence to the planning portal everything was perfect. Kamau was our DJ and the dance floor was rocking. He payed attention to all the small details we had and nailed.

Dan and Justin were great!

I had contacted Dan a year before our wedding and locked in our date- we were so glad we did! I was initially concerned with going through a bigger company and not getting to know our DJ personally first, but Dan assigned Justin to our event, I spoke with him a week before, and everything was smooth sailing. I had some unique requests and Justin honored all of them. The only hiccup with them was having to go through our timeline twice (once with Dan and once with Justin) and some things getting forgotten if I didn’t specify everything again- such as one of our wedding processional songs and the lighting preferences.

Highly Recommended!

Music Masters was great. Their online event coordination was very professional and showed depth of experience. The packages they offered were very easy to pick through and we thoroughly enjoyed the pre-wedding experience. During our reception, the DJ was incredible and kept everyone involved throughout the evening. He even helped with a separate musical set up we had for someone who performed for one our toasts. I highly recommend Music Masters!

Never stopped dancing!

Our DJ, Bob, was AWESOME! We had a great time and didn't have to worry about a thing! I don't think the dance floor was ever empty once we got to the reception! We also used Bob/Music Masters during the ceremony, and it was definitely the right decision! Bob had a constant smile, easy to work with (as was Dan/Music Masters as a whole leading up to our wedding!) and the exact energy we were looking for! We HIGHLY recommend!

Best dance floor!!

We worked with Johnathan after attending a friend's wedding where he DJed!! He did an amazing job keeping everyone on the dance floor. We had the best time. Their song portal makes planning so easy. We could not have been happier with our decision to work with MusicMasters!!

Exactly what we wanted

They were so great to work with. We used their online portal to curate exactly the kind of music we wanted playing during each part of our wedding (cocktail hour, dances, cake cutting, reception) and they completely got it right! We even gave really specific requests for certain times during the reception and it all went off perfectly. I would absolutely recommend.

They were great!

Fantastic DJ Service

MusicMasters DJ Jon was fantastic at our daughters wedding! He was amazing and kept the dance floor hopping (literally) until the very last second. There was no break in the dancing and the excitement and intensity of the room grew with each song. Absolutely everyone had a blast, young and old! Jon set the tempo and kept the the right songs coming to fit the mood. We could not have been happier and would highly recommend him to our friends. MusicMasters was easy to work with from beginning to end. They were an incredible value and the service was absolutely perfect!

Highly recommend MusicMasters!

Music Masters was recommended to me by family members, and I am so glad that we chose them for our special day. During the planning stages, Dan was very responsive, easy to talk to, and listened to my vision for the day. He provided suggestions and ideas as needed. Our reception went perfectly with DJ Joe D! Joe and I went over all of the details prior to our wedding day, and he carried all of them out seamlessly. He paid attention to the details and played the music that we had requested. As the night was winding down, he even checked with me to ensure that he had played all of the songs that we were hoping for during the reception. I can’t think of how the event could’ve gone better!

Music Masters is Great!

Our wedding was at the Pier 5 hotel and they have an agreement with Music Masters, so we decided to go with them since they already had established relationships and knew the space well. Sue was great to work with, responsive and answered all of our questions! Pouya was our DJ on our wedding day and was fabulous! He handled all of the emceeing duties perfectly, plus he played a great mix of music to satisfy the range of ages and nationalities. We really enjoyed working with him and would definitely recommend MM for your DJ duties! Also, if you are trying to decide about uplighting - I highly recommend it if it's in your budget. It really made the space look SO cool!

Music Masters was incredible throughout the entire wedding planning experience. They catered to every need of ours and were extremely accommodating. Joe, our DJ, was upbeat, lively, and communicative. I planned a special mashup dance with my father, and they were able to create the song quickly and perfectly. They went over every detail with me to ensure everything was perfect on our wedding day. Their pricing is also very reasonable, I highly recommend these guys!

Wonderful experience!

MusicMasters was so easy to work with and made planning our reception music a breeze. Our DJ, Justin, was phenomenal! He went above and beyond on the day of - working with us when we had to make last minute changes to our timeline, choosing the perfect songs to keep everyone on the dance floor, and even ensuring we had refills on our drinks whenever we wanted them. He was a lot of fun and was the perfect addition to our day. Their packages are also very inclusive - we were able to get our DJ, photo booth, microphones/lapel mics, ceremony speakers, and up-lights all from one place with options for even more add ons. Dj kamau was awesome!

We had an excellent experience with MusicMasters! Sue and Dan were great to work with as we were planning our wedding (first during COVID and then postponed to this year). They have a really nice online portal they have you use to make song requests (must plays; play if possible; dinner; don't play; etc), which was very easy and a really nice way to give them an idea of what type of music you like. The online portal also includes a questionnaire and timeline that you fill in with all the various details of the wedding to make it easy for you and the DJ to coordinate the details and timelines. Based on our responses, Sue and Dan chose a DJ they felt fit our needs and they were spot on! We had DJ Kamau who was THE BEST! We had a pretty random list of music jumping all sorts of decades and genres and he did an awesome job of reading the room and playing songs at the right time. He also did some sort of mixes/mashups of the songs and they were all so fun! He kept everyone on the dance floor! He was also very attentive to us and made sure we were ready whenever transitioning to various things like toasts, first dance, anniversary dance, etc.

Wedding DJ Bill

Bill was our wedding dj and we have received so many compliments about how wonderful our reception music was. Bill did an excellent job keeping the crowd up and dancing and we keep hearing how much of a blast everyone had! We definitely recommend Music Masters, they had a very easy to use website for communicating music and the flow we wanted for the evening, they were super responsive, and we are really enjoying how much we are still, two months later, hearing how fantastic the music and reception was!

Gianni was excellent!

Gianni was our DJ for both the ceremony and reception. He was absolutely amazing - and so much fun to hang out with! He took the time to do a call with us before booking, and then leading up to the wedding went through each of the entrance songs etc. to ensure we felt good about the run of show. When we had changes to the entrances, he easily ran with it, without making any mistakes. He even suggested our recessional song which was a huge hit. He kept the entire night on schedule, the dance floor bumpin and accepted all the right requests from our guests. We highly recommend Gianni!
We also booked a photobooth through Music Masters, they sent out two gentleman to work the booth, and both were an absolute delight to have a part of our day.

Amazing Time!

My wife and I just got married and Music Masters did all the sound systems for the wedding. Justin was the DJ and even only speaking with him over the phone the week before we knew from that first phone call it was going to be a great time! The day was really windy but Justin was there early setting up and sound checking to make sure everything went smoothly. We wanted to make sure the party went on until the very end and it surly did. I don't think I left the dance floor the entire night and Justin even did a special last dance for my wife and I. Music Masters has a great portal that lets you plan your wedding music at your own pace and aligns it perfectly. Highly recommend.

Kept the Party Going!

We booked Music Masters through having our wedding at the Pier 5 Hotel. I was a bit nervous having not spoken to our DJ until 3 days before our wedding but it worked out and everything went smoothly. The online portal is super easy to use and helps keep everything organized. Our DJ was DJ Bill and he was fun, pronounced everyone's names correctly, played all the songs I wanted and kept everything running smoothly and timely. Amazing Experience!

Dan and his team were very easy to work with, quick to respond to any questions, and our DJ (shout out Bob!) was spectacular. Our group was like herding cats and Bob did a fantastic job of keeping the ball rolling while playing a very crowd friendly and FUN dance set! Great wedding DJ

We hired Music Masters for our yacht wedding. DJ Carlos and his assistant were wonderful to work with. They did an excellent job making sure that all three levels of boat were playing the music we chose. Everything went smoothly on the technical side. When it came time for the dance hour we really weren't sure if many people would be dancing. But DJ Carlos made sure that the dance floor was packed. He played really great mixes that got us all dancing the entire time. At one point he even played a last minute request of Baby Shark for the little kids and it was the highlight of night. Thank you again DJ Carlos and Music Masters. I would highly recommend this vendor for any wedding or event.

Music Masters - fabulous DJ and service!

Music Masters came recommended by our Venue - The Center Club. From the first phone call with Dan Hawkins (co-owner) to the DJ himself - Justin - the experience was amazing. All of your music selections are made online - and that takes the logistical nightmare out of making up a list of your own and emailing it to the DJ or service. Music Masters was not only responsive, and friendly but I felt that their fees were really really reasonable as well. Our DJ did the music fo rour service as well and was spot on - timing wise. No long songs with people sitting around waiting for them to be finished.. everything flowed.

The post dinner dancing was awesome as well - Justin made sure that our personal notes about songs were included in his announcements. It was a smooth, easy process and completely professional. I would recommend them to anyone wanting a top flight DJ service with music that you want! They have the system down to an art form.. and as a Bride it was one less thing to worry about! Bravo Music Masters!

Great experience

Music Masters exceeded our expectations for DJ services! The owners, Dan and Sue, were fabulous every step of the way, from the initial email all the way to the wedding. Music Masters provides a detailed website where we were able to plan all the music selections for the entire night. DJ Gianni did an amazing job interacting with our guests and getting everyone out on the dance floor. He was very quick to respond to all of our messages and had some great suggestions to help our night flow perfectly. We can not thank you enough, DJ Gianni!! Scott ran the photo booth and was awesome as well! He kept our guests laughing and having a great time, as well as providing them with a plethora of assorted fun props. MusicMasters was great from the very beginning. Their website makes planning super easy. You can submit your timeline, pick songs, and your guests can submit songs too. Dan calls to make sure he knows exactly what you're looking for. Then they pick a DJ that is right for you. And they did a great job! DJ Ray Bachman was perfect for us! He made the night run smoothly and got all our guests having a blast on the dance floor. I mentioned a song my dad really liked and he got me before he played that song so I could dance with my dad. You could tell he did his homework before the first time we talked. He knew exactly what I wanted. He even went to the bar to get my husband and I champagne when it was time for toasts since we didn't have any at the time. He went above and beyond to make the night perfect.
We also rented a photo booth through musicmasters and it was the BEST photo booth ever. There were so many (SO SO MANY) hilarious props. The photo booth attendant even helped put my guest book together. She was taping the photo strips to the book and having guests write a message next to their photo. When creating the photo strips, Dan asked me for a theme so he could design it, and I just sent him a picture of our invitations showing a fall theme, and he went off of that and designed a template that matched perfectly. I will definitely be recommending MusicMasters to everyone. Dan and Sue are the best!!

There aren't any bad things to say about musicmasters! We had a really bad experience booking a dj from a different company and Musicmasters really saved the day for us! DJ Bill was polite and professional throughout the night and all of our guests were thoroughly entertained on the dance floor. He followed our Do Not Play lists and worked in all of our Must Play songs. Prior to the reception he triple checked name pronunciations and really was the perfect DJ for us last weekend. We would definitely recommend him and MusicMasters to any newlyweds looking for DJ services.

MusicMasters was fantastic! We are so happy that they serviced our wedding and reception. The DJ, Justin Keys, did a phenomenal job at all 3 events - wedding, cocktail hour, and the reception.
We have nothing but good things to say about Justin Keys. He was awesome! We had a blast at the reception,. Justin played the songs we wanted to hear, and he also "mashed them up" with other great songs. Everyone that I spoke to after the reception said they loved the music. They thought it was one of the most fun receptions they have ever been to.

Also, the photo booth from Music Masters worked out perfectly! Everyone at the wedding loved it as well. We received our photo album booklet right after the reception, which was awesome to see how many people took great photo booth pictures. The props were fun!
Music Masters did an excellent job with the uplighting and the cake pin spotting. Overall, Music Masters did an excellent job with our event, and we would happily recommend them to anyone else planning a wedding in the area.

Music Masters was PHENOMINAL from first meeting to final dance at our reception. We didn’t provide much direction and wanted to leave a lot of the decisions up to the experts and Dan picked the best songs for the best moments and gauged the crowd to make sure everyone had a wonderful time! Walt from MusicMasters was a hit! A few days before our wedding he called me and we discussed all the music we wanted to play at our reception. We were very happy with Jon from Music Masters. The Music Masters website made it really easy to indicate which songs we wanted for each part of the ceremony and reception, and Jon had exactly the right energy to keep us dancing the whole night. My husband and I performed a duet at the reception and he helped us coordinate that to minimize the interruption with dancing. He was great!

Music Masters was an absolute gem to work with! From the moment I reached out, Dan contracted me to go over everything we were looking for, and together, we came up with a perfect list of items for our wedding day. Leading up to the day, Dan and Sue were quick to respond to any questions I had, and would answer my emails right away. I love that they’re so flexible with payment options as well. Weddings can get expensive, so being able to pay a little at a time is so helpful. My favorite thing is their online portal. It’s so easy to use, and my husband and I were able to go in and put songs we wanted to be played, songs we didn’t want played, and were able to plan out the entire timeline of our wedding day all on the portal. The week leading up to the wedding, our DJ, Joe called me, and we talked for about an hour going over all of the important details. Joe made sure he had each version of the song right, and he even made sure to start certain songs at an exact point in the song that I requested. (For example I wanted a song to start at the chours during our ceremony) On the wedding day Joe arrived early, and was a pleasure to work with. Our guests had a blast dancing, and the music never stopped all night. I would recommend Music Masters to anyone looking for DJ services!

Imagine trying to provide music for folks who graduated from high school 50 YEARS AGO! MusicMasters made it happen! Dan and Sue Hawkins were responsive and easy to book with, offering professional advice that proved to be right on target! Our DJ for the day, Joe, took our playlist, made suggestions and added his own expertise to provide a wonderful afternoon of music for "us oldsters". Wow! Only positive feedback from our guests. I am so glad I chose Music Masters for my wedding!!! We had the pleasure of having Dan as our DJ/MC. The online planning tool they provide is awesome; its easy to use, helped me easily organize my reception, gave me suggestions for songs to use.. it was definitely one of the easier parts of wedding planning, which is MUCH appreciated!! When it came down to the homestretch, Dan called and helped me iron out the details of how we wanted to do things, made sure we were both on the same page, and gave me suggestions that I very happily took. Dan was an absolute professional throughout the whole process. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and I owe all of my thanks to Music Masters!! We danced ALL NIGHT LONG. We truly enjoyed our wedding. We couldn't stop dancing!! Dan played everything we requested and threw in some really fun songs. The dance floor was full the entire evening. I can't express how much fun we had! And I'm so glad I had dancing shoes to change into!!! Everyone from our wedding can't stop telling us how much fun they had and that it was one of the best weddings they've been to and I absolutely give all of that credit to Dan. The DJ/MC makes the reception in my opinion. For me, I was very selective in choosing a DJ. The wrong one could make the reception blah. Dan truly exceeded our expectations and we truly owe him all of our thanks for making our wedding so incredible and memorable for us and our guests. If you're contemplating on a DJ, GO WITH MUSIC MASTERS. You will NOT be disappointed.

We had Jose as the DJ for our wedding on March 16th and he was phenomenal! He kept the dance floor full the entire night... I don't think people every stopped dancing. My husband is Puerto Rican and we wanted a good mix of today's top hits and salsa music. The mix of the music was perfect, and he chose the best songs to play. The online planning portal was very easy to use and allowed you to pick songs that you wanted to have played which was very helpful. The ceremony music was also perfect. I've been to a few weddings where they've had a DJ who was not so great, and people weren't dancing... but Jose could not have been more perfect! If you want to have a fantastic party where people don't stop dancing, MusicMasters is the way to go! Thank you so much for making our wedding so much fun!!! I haven't danced like that in a long time!

We used Music Masters for our wedding in December and could not be happier with our choice. Dan and Sue made planning process very easy and Justin was a fantastic DJ for our reception. All of our guests continue to rave about how the dance floor was full from start to finish. Also, the website was a great tool to allow us to help plan the music and schedule of events for our reception.

We used MusicMasters for our recent wedding at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore and I cannot express how amazing they were! It was seriously premier service from the initial contact all the way to the day of our event! Dan and Sue Hawkins are the absolute sweetest people to work with and they were so helpful with every single detail! Everything was laid out so perfectly before the wedding that on the day of we didn't have to worry about a single thing! The DJ was amazing and played all the right songs to keep everyone dancing the entire night! Another big hit was definitely our photobooth! We weren't sure if we were going to go for the photobooth, however I'm so glad we did!!!! It was the best! I could not have asked for a better DJ for my special day and I honestly recommend to anyone who is looking to have an amazing event!

If you are looking for a DJ, look no further. MusicMasters is the best! Dan and Sue are extremely helpful and respond very quickly. We had DJ Justin at our wedding. He was professional but fun. Played all the right music and got everyone on the dance floor. We also used them for a photobooth. Everyone enjoyed it and the props were great. Everything was exactly how we expected it. MusicMasters killed it! Not only did they do an amazing job with music for our wedding, they listened to what we wanted, provided recommendations and suggestions, were flexible, responsive, respectful, fun, and their prices were totally reasonable. The online portal was also extremely helpful and very comprehensive-- it provided structure to help organize the timeline, order of events, and centralize all the important details of the day. This tool is super helpful for someone who doesn't know where/ how to start planning all the details of the day, and also amazing for anyone who likes planning and having control over details. I would recommend MusicMasters to anyone planning a wedding or looking for a professional DJ who can really elevate whatever celebration you're having!

MusicMasters could not have been more accommodating! Super quick responses and nothing was 'too much' for them. Dan was our point person as well as our DJ for our wedding day and we couldn't have asked for anyone better! He helped us plan out our timeline and was so helpful with the planning process. On the day of the wedding he had everyone on the dance floor the entire time and he played everything on our must play list! Everything was amazing!

We worked with Dan from the beginning of wedding planning as they were one of the first vendors we booked. Dan was amazing at answering our questions and providing us with information. Their online portal is awesome to make sure you have thought of everything for the timeline. The day of our wedding Joe DeSantis was our DJ and he was amazing! He set up a speaker in our cocktail room so music could be heard during cocktail hour, he played perfect dinner appropriate music during our seated dinner, he did our announcements and managed to get our huge bridal party (22 people) organized for a great entrance. He was amazing at reading our crowd and our dance floor was full the entire night. We would highly reccomend MusicMasters for your wedding dj!

We heard rave reviews about music masters from both online sources and other vendors before booking. They came at a great price and although we were nervous about not finding out our DJ until shortly before the wedding, we could be more pleased. We were assigned Joe and he could not have been more accommodating and did a great job mixing in what we asked for as well as additional songs. We would recommend them to anyone!

I had my wedding on 9/9/2016 with DJ Dan. I cannot say enough good things about our experience with MusicMasters. My husband and I have an eclectic taste in music, and Dan's playlist for the wedding was perfect for us. We even had couples coming up to us telling us they wished they had him as their DJ for their wedding. I want to thank Music Masters, and DJ Dan, for making out wedding so much fun and enjoyable. There were a lot of issues that happened the day of the wedding (i.e. no power for half the wedding), but as long as we had that generator that allowed the music and sound system, I knew everything would work out.

MusicMasters was the "house" DJ at Pier V Hotel in Baltimore, but we definitely would have gone with them at any other venue as well. The value and service provided was awesome. I was a little nervous about my DJ getting in touch with me close to the wedding and Dan had an email back to me and the DJ called me within 10 minutes of my original email, which quickly took away any worries I had. DJ Pouya spun the tunes and emceed our wedding reception, which was PHENOMENAL. He read the crowd so well and the dance floor was absolutely packed from the beginning of the wedding to the very last song. Even my father, who I've never really seen dance much, was out on the floor busting a move. One of my guests commented that they wish this many people danced and had such a good time at their wedding. I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Thanks so much for making our day absolutely perfect!

I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am with my choice to go with DJ Dan at Music Masters! I knew right from the beginning they were the company to use for my wedding. They have such an amazing website that helps you plan your wedding from beginning to end and helps you to think of every little detail. Dan was so attentive and helpful over the last year as I was planning my wedding. He was able to relieve any and all anxiety I had about anything related to the music and time line. He allowed me to put as much input as I wanted into what kind of music I wanted played, but he made me feel comfortable letting him hold the reigns and play music he saw fit. He really knows how to read a crowd! They also offer a photo booth and lighting, so they're a one stop shop! It was both convenient and affordable. Dan was great to work with. Prior to the wedding, I spoke with Dan on the phone to confirm the timeline and song selection information. At the wedding, Dan was awesome. He played all of our must play songs and supplemented our choices with other fun songs. He had everyone dancing from our friends (mid twenties) to our parents/aunts/uncles in their 50s and 60s. Dan was flexible, professional, and great to work with.

We are so happy that we chose Music Masters for our wedding day! Dan and Sue were a pleasure to work with and made us feel taken care of throughout the months of planning. Their online portal is easy and extremely helpful, especially for picky clients like us--we were in there editing our song lists all the time. It was so important to us to feel confident that the night would be personalized to our taste, which was what we received.

We were given DJ Jay and the night was a blast! We know we have a crew that loves to dance but didn't expect everyone to hit the dance floor on the very first song and not stop until the last. Jay read the crowd very well and also did a phenomenal job coordinating our transitions, including dances, speeches, cake cutting, etc.

We could not be happier with the service we received from Music Masters from the first call with Dan to thanking Jay before out send off!

We loved the ease of working with Music Masters. Our venue works with them on a regular basis and helped set up or contract with them, which was super easy for us which we loved. They also spent time finding all of the odd music we requested for our ceremony and to be played during the reception.

Justin was great to work with! He met up with us before hand to ask us some questions and really get an idea of what we wanted. He knew just how long to make the first dance/parent dances and when to cut them so they were not so long and it worked great.

Since the wedding a ton of my guests mentioned how great the music was! He kept everyone on the dance floor and made sure everyone was having a great time! Working with music masters was awesome! I am so glad we used them for our wedding!

Thank you thank you thank you Music Masters! Everyone had a smashing good time and many of our guests remarked on how splendid the DJing was. We just got married on 2/14/16 and Music Masters made everything so easy for the wedding. The web site is phenomenal--it will guide you through step by step for the timeline for the wedding details, and all the events that take place inside the wedding. It's easy to edit too when you really start to organize everything. Then when you make your playlist it will tell you popular songs by each decade to get ideas and choose your set. You can also search for everything and anything. Then after all that (we had Dan Hawkins) Dan called us and we went over everything step by step a week or so before the wedding. One other thing I want to add about the website is that you can make payments online through PayPal so it's super convenient from beginning to end--totally polished. Back to Dan--he has so much knowledge about weddings in general, the suggestions he made worked out perfectly to make it the perfect night! Dan took a lot of pressure off of us having to worry about that entertainment portion of the wedding--which is a huge chunk considering that the DJ & music drive the rest of the wedding after everyone eats! Definitely check them out--you won't be disappointed!

Justin was awesome! He took care of ceremony music and our reception. He included all our requests and added the right music for the crowd! He got our friends out on the dance floor and managed to have even the older crowd dancing along! He even made last minute changes to our first dance for us! Highly recommended!!!

Simplify your wedding planning: hire Dan Hawkins.

From the moment we met Dan, we knew he was our guy. He was friendly, prepared and helpful at our first meeting, and proceeded to be the most responsive vendor we worked with by far. He put us at ease by answering emailed questions quickly and reassuring us that all would be well. The online portal makes picking music easy. Dan offered great suggestions in our final call before the wedding and got us props at wholesale props. At the event itself, the music was great, as was the lighting his crew set up. And the photo booth -- GET THE PHOTO BOOTH! Our guests had a blast posing with all the props Dan's crew provided, and we had an instant book full of fun pictures.

Dan is a complete pro and we recommend him highly.

We absolutely made the right choice for our DJ with Music Masters. Dan and Sue Hawkins are both incredibly pleasant and responsible to all our questions/concerns. Their online event planning portal was exactly what this type-A plan ahead bride needed! :)
The DJ selected for us by Music Masters was DJ Jason Burns and he was fantastic! Obviously very experienced--there wasn't an empty spot on our dance floor all night! We opted for purple up-lighting with Music Masters as well and it looked really awesome inside our wedding reception tent.

If I could give Music Masters 10 stars I would! DJ Jose was incredible! Music Masters came recommended by our reception venue the Pier 5 Hotel. We requested a bilingual (English /Spanish) DJ who could play a mix of classic American wedding songs, current dance music, and Latin music. We only gave him an idea of what we wanted with nothing too specific and he ran with it! There were never less than 10 people on the dance floor and the only real problem was that the dance floor wasn't big enough so we had guests dancing along the sides of the dance floor too! I saw guests dance that I've never seen dance before. It was so fun and our guests keep commenting how great the music was. I recommend DJ Jose to anyone, he was fantastic!

My husband and I got married this past weekend at the American Visionary Art Museum and Dan Hawkins was our phenomenal DJ. From the beginning, my husband and I agreed that the most important part of our wedding was that everyone had fun. For that to happen, we needed awesome music. We spent hours putting together a must play list and a do not play list. Dan did a fantastic job weaving in the music from the must play list with other songs that he knew would work with the crowd. He sensed what was working and what wasn't, and he played to the crowd's energy.

I can say without a doubt that we had the most intense dance party we've ever experienced at a wedding. Even our day-of coordinator and our caterer were in awe of the dance party. I sweat through my wedding dress, my husband sweat through his suit, and my father sweat through two shirts. It was not hot out, the dancing was just that smoking. Once the dancing started, at least 75% of the guests were on the dance floor until the lights went on to signal that the party was over.

I can't stress enough how much fun our wedding was because of the environment set by the music. Dan Hawkins- thank you for the most memorable wedding newleyweds could ask for!

Dan is the Man! I was looking for a bilingual DJ and he was probably more excited than I was about the reception! They have such a vast collection of Spanish music that I felt completely comfortable signing a contract with them. They even provided a photo booth for my guests. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a DJ. Brides, I know you want your guests to have fun. I know you want a DJ that can read the crowd. When I say that my dance floor was packed all night.... there was no time in which the dance floor was empty! The photo booth was a plus AND you get the digital pictures after!! what a bonus! DAn was super SUPER responsive and helpful when thinking of the timeline. I cannot recommend them enough. So glad I went with them!

We were recently married and the wedding was a hugely successful, largely thanks to MusicMasters. We could not have made a better decision when we chose DJ Jason for our event. My husband was in charge of the selection and after interviewing and firing the first few, he came home one afternoon extremely confident with his selection. When I spoke DJ Jason a few weeks prior to the event, I immediately agreed. DJ Jason just felt like "our DJ". He was easy going, organized and extremely helpful in assisting us with organizing the flow of our evening in a way that made sense. He was interested in our musical tastes and made sure that he had a good handle on the types of music that would appeal to our crowd. His team was accessible and replied promptly to any queries we had. He also took the time to learn the pronunciation of some of the uncommon names of the speakers at our event. On wedding day, he really excelled. Of course, the highlight of the night was the party during the reception. We heard them comment over and over again how fantastic the music was and how impressed they were with our DJ. DJ Jason went from dance set, to speeches (calling up our speakers with perfect pronunciation like they were his own family), to background music seamlessly. Music Masters was the perfect choice for our wedding entertainment! Dan and Sue were great to work with and reached out to us prior to the wedding to get all the details before assigning a DJ. The Music Masters website is great because you can build your own playlists and submit all of the information about the wedding and reception itinerary. Bill was our DJ on the day of the wedding and we absolutely loved working with him. Our dance floor was filled from start to finish thanks to him! Our guests commented that they had so much fun and loved the music! We had custom songs we wanted for the bridal party introductions, as well as a first dance song that we asked Music Masters to customize before the wedding and they put both together for us!

I truly enjoyed working with MusicMasters for my wedding in July 2015. We had DJ Bob on the day of our event and he provided music for our cocktail hour and reception. Dan and Sue were so nice and helpful throughout the entire process before the wedding. They weren't pushy and were extremely responsive. The price was a great value especially compared to the other djs in the area.

For our wedding, Jason was amazing! He was extremely flexible with some changes that we made last minute. He did a great job emceeing the wedding and playing a mix of our requests and other music. We had some extra things (like a kissing menu) that he really made sure happened and got our guests into. I honestly think that he was one of the biggest factors that made our wedding reception a huge success. I also appreciated the reminder from Sue to complete the online forms and the flexibility to keep them open longer if needed.

Dan with Music Masters was amazing!!! All our guests kept raving about our DJ. We were initially worried because we had a lot of different music (i.e., Haitian and Brazilian music). We filled out his easy online music request form and he found the songs he didn't have within 24 hours, which was amazing because we had a lot of songs! The way he structured the music throughout the night was amazing! He really knew how to feel the crowd to make sure there were no breaks in the dancing. He is so talented! My groom and I love to dance, so DJ was very important to us! So glad we went with them and would recommend them to all of our friends!!!

We booked Dan at Music Masters within days of him Djing at our best friends wedding last year and he was certainly worth every penny! We are so happy with everything that Dan did for our wedding! Dan is extremely professional, but not up-tight. He not only provided excellent music for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception but was an awesome MC and helped to keep my fiance and I on track throughout the night. We could not have asked for a better experience having Dan and Musicmasters handle our wedding reception. Nearly a month after the event, we are still getting comments about how great the DJ, music and flow of the event was. Dan is the perfect combination of fun and energetic, yet formal and professional. He knows exactly what to do to get the best out of your facility and guests without being over the top or being a distraction.

We met with Dan in person during our initial meeting and about 2 weeks before our wedding. We talked about the vibe we wanted, the music we like, and what we expected out of our DJ's personality. After you book Musicmasters, you are given a log in to their website which allows you to search music, create playlists, plan the timeline of your event, among other features. They also have resources for caterers, planners and other things that proved to be helpful through our planning process. You rarely see features like this in such a well done format and we really appreciated how easy everything was for us, start to finish. This company knows what they are doing and were well worth every penny for helping to make our wedding as special as it could possibly be. We cant thank them enough for bringing everything together and creating the exact atmosphere we were looking for. Thanks Dan and Musicmasters!

MusicMasters was such a pleasure to work with! I was in contact with Dan throughout the planning process and he was so easy to work with and very flexible. Their website is very user-friendly and easy to navigate.

Dan was the DJ at our wedding and he did a phenomenal job!!! The floor was packed all night and he played all of our must play songs as well as some other great crowd-pleasers!

MusicMasters was so easy and great to work with! Besides doing an awesome job with the music, we also got a photobooth, which my guest LOVED! I had a nautical themed wedding and with just describing that, Dan created a great anchor motif at the bottom of the photo strips.

My husband and I decided to change our first dance very last minute (maybe 30 minutes before the first dance!)-- and it was no problem at all!

Dan did such a phenomenal job and we had no worries throughout the entire process! I would recommend MusicMasters to anyone. My husband said he wants to host another event just so he can have MusicMasters to DJ!

MusicMasters is a professional, family owned business, and Dan and Sue (the owners) were great to work with throughout the planning process and worked with me to stay on budget as well as ensured we were good on our timeline. They were always incredibly responsive to all my questions. The planning portal they have was very useful to us. We were looking for a low-key DJ who was professional, and Jonathan did a great job at our event. He didn't say much, but he had a great sense of music to play to keep people dancing, and honored our guests requests, and overall kept the vibe classy. It was great when he stepped in with a great and meaningful music selection for the bride's processional (I was stuck deciding on a tune). I would recommend them for future events.

We had Bob for our wedding in Baltimore and he did an absolutely amazing job! He had great dinner music while we were eating and going from table to table, but absolutely stepped it up as soon as it was time to start dancing! Music Masters made it SO easy to figure out the time line of events for our evening and even gave us really helpful advice when we weren't sure how to order some events. I would hands down recommend them for ANY wedding or event!

The first time I spoke with Dan, it was early in the planning, and all I knew was that we were seeking class, professionalism, and music that would contribute to a festive celebration. Our conversation reassured me that I'd found it. Real life intervened and I wasn't able to devote much time to completing online forms/selections, and as a second marriage with a non-typical "framily tree," a lot of the usual moments wouldn't be relevant. As the style and vibe for our wedding emerged, I sent Dan and his team an email trying to communicate the overall feel we were going for (including some specific songs and artists, as well as a few things we didn't want included). Dan picked up perfectly on the tone, and as we chatted and discovered how similar our tastes were, Dan decided to "master" the event himself. My now-husband and I knew we were 100% in excellent hands, handled everything by phone and online, and by the time I was finally able to introduce myself after the ceremony, Dan felt like an old friend. Throughout the night, we touched base, he adjusted the playlist and did just enough to encourage people to get up and dance without being in any way over-the-top - and while I was a bit concerned that guests weren't hitting the dance floor as much as I'd expected, as the night drew to a close, everyone told me they were just completely entranced by the setting, wrapped up in enjoying the evening and each other, and that the music was wonderful, nostalgic, and the ideal soundtrack for a night of love and laughter...that is, Dan did an absolutely ideal job in giving us and the people who matter most an absolutely perfect celebration. We couldn't have asked for more.

Had a great time at our wedding. We were able to spend a lot of time on the dance floor with our guests who had a great time as well!!! Dan kept the crowd on the dance floor most of the night once all the important things were over like the dinner, cake cutting and apron dance. He played a variety of music and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves!!

Music Masters was a great company to work with! Dan and Sue (the owners) were very prompt and informative with the emails I sent them leading up to the wedding. The on-line portal to choose songs/artists was SO helpful and SO easy. We had DJ Pouya who was wonderful to work with. We talked a couple of days before the wedding and I had some specific requests for the ceremony and reception music and all went as planned. He brought the right amount of energy without being "overly involved". He played all the great tunes and people were dancing non stop!!! He kept us in line with our timeline and made sure everything went smoothly.

I recently used MusicMasters as my DJ for my ceremony and my reception music. They sent me a packet of all the paperwork and most popular songs and recommendations. They gave me a username and password to their site to request songs to play, create a wedding timeline, and provide them with all the information of the other vendors and names of the wedding party. A week before the wedding I got a call from Sue Hawkins letting me know who my DJ was and to make sure I provided them with all the details they needed to help my wedding run as smooth as possible. Ray Bachman was my DJ, he too called a week before the wedding to make sure he pronounced the names correctly and to clarify a few details. I kept the ceremony music simple, I only played one entire song and it was beautiful. I let him have full range on what to play for our entrance and he picked well. He made the introductions of my parents, my husbands' parents, the wedding party and us. It was fun and lively which is what I asked for. He played all the songs I requested and made sure to tell us and our parents when it came to the special dances. The music was diverse and kept the party going. I have many great shots of me and the guests dancing and having a good time.

My daughter's wedding was 10/11/14 and have to say kudos to Dan Hawkins! He did a superb job in every aspect of the wedding. His professionalism stood out as he helped our whole party along when ever it was time to announce the wedding party, cutting the cake, throwing the bouquet...etc. But best of all, we all danced the night away! He knew when to participate and knew when the music was getting everyone off of their chairs! A wonderful time was had by all! Service was above and beyond what was expected. When obstacles arose, Dan Hawkins was on top of resolutions with great ideas of how to ensure great lighting and music for the wedding reception. Our guests said it was the best party ever and that was thanks to Justin our DJ from Music masters. He kept the party alive and going with great music and emceeing.

I worked with DJ Dan Hawkins, owner of the company, and he was brilliant! He was very helpful with any questions we needed answered in the months leading up to the wedding and then we met 5 days prior to the wedding to go over the night. He was very professional, knew his music, made some suggestions based off of what we had told him thus far, and come the night of the reception, the playlist was perfect! He also helped facilitate the flow of the evening with announcements, introductions, etc. I would definitely try to use Music Masters again for any DJ needs.

MusicMasters was the contracted DJ through our venue...I was a bit nervous, but decided to go with it as I wanted a vendor that was familiar with the venue (we had our ceremony and reception at the same location). The online portal was a great resource through the planning process and was easy to use. DJ Dan was on point through the ceremony and reception. He started things going, kept them moving, and assured that we were on time while keeping everyone on the dance floor (and taking care of all of our requests flawlessly)!

I had the honor of actually getting Dan, the owner, for my wedding. He was so great! We talked through email and on the phone, multiple times, so that he could really get a feel for what we were going for. I said I want the ceiling to look like the night sky- so he gave me a blue ceiling with stars, it was beautiful! He also edited a version of our processional song, to make the intro a bit longer, then when I decided I didn't want it anymore, he had no problem with my changes. During the wedding, the music was awesome! Unfortunately, most of my guests weren't dancing. He even asked me if there was anything he could do, any changes in music but it was just my guests- guess they were not much for dancing. However, those who did dance, including myself, had a blast. When he announced the wedding party and me and my new husband, he was so fun, yet professional. I would definitely recommend Music Masters to anyone who wants a very fun yet very professional DJ. I have no regrets, at all! They really made our special moments, even better! :)

Musicmasters was great to work with for our wedding. During the planning process, they were very quick in responding to emails and questions. They kept in touch with us as our wedding got closer. The company and our DJ contacted us the week before the wedding to make sure we didn't have questions and to confirm the details we wanted. Bob our DJ played our requested music, and filled in the rest with just the kind of music we wanted. We even had people dancing in between meal courses.

Our wedding was 5/11/02, but this would only go back as far as '04. Music Masters (Dan Hawkins), could not have been better! He played awesome music that was requested, and some that wasn't. We LOVED MusicMasters!! From the beginning, Dan was so responsive and easy to work with. Their website is organized and easy to use, and really helped to keep us on track. Throughout the whole planning process, Dan was always quick to respond to any questions I had, and able to help me with customizing our DJ package (added uplighting and custom gobo, both of which were beautiful). I felt so stress-free working with MusicMasters, because they were always in contact with me, and always so friendly and responsive about everything.
The day of the wedding was absolutely perfect. We were lucky enough to have Dan as our DJ-- that was the best choice yet. I truly think that the music was one of the best parts of our wedding. Dan did the ceremony music, which sounded great at our outside ceremony, and used a microphone so that everything was heard. During the reception Dan was SO helpful, he kept us on track the entire night. He made sure that we followed our timeline and that everything was running smoothly according to time, and making sure that we were having a good time.
The music that was played was fantastic!! We NEVER left the dance floor. Our guests were having the best time and danced the entire night. The music that Dan chose to play was perfect to get all of our guests engaged and dancing and just having a ball! We had so much fun on the dance floor and just never wanted the night to end. All of my guests LOVED Dan and the music, and we got so many compliments about the music and fun everyone had. One of my bridesmaids loved the music so much, she decided to book MusicMasters as her DJ for her wedding next June too!
We can not thank DJ Dan and Music Masters enough, for making our wedding day just so incredibly fun, memorable, and perfect. Thank you DJ Dan!

Our contract with our venue, the Pier 5 Hotel, included the DJ services with Music Masters. We talked to Dan Hawkins, the owner, and immediately knew we were in good hands. Dan was helpful in providing advice and tips about the wedding planning process, above and beyond the entertainment. He referred us to Fleur de Lis who did do our flowers. (See my separate rave review of FDL on this website. Separate rave review of the Pier 5 forthcoming.)

Music Masters website has lots of tools and resources for wedding planning, although we unfortunately did not take full advantage of. We did find the "day of" timeline tool very helpful in ensuring we did not overlook anything.

I was a little concerned that we were not assigned our DJ until a few days before the wedding. However, once Justin Keys called us, we felt confident in his experience and ability to give us a fun reception. Justin was terrific! Many of our guests commented on how much they loved the music. He played a wide selection that appealed to all ages. He got everyone on the dance floor, even friends who said they had not planned to dance. He also managed to play all of our requests.

We highly recommend Dan and Sue and Music Masters for their overall knowledge and experience with weddings. We also highly recommend our DJ Justin for knowing how to read a crowd and provide a fun experience for everyone.

Music Masters
It was the best day EVER! We couldn’t have been more excited and happy to celebrate our wedding at the Pier 5 hotel on 8/17! The Bride’s father was a minister for 45 years and had a few horror stories about bad DJ’s at weddings, so we were particularly picky about every last detail of what we wanted and what we didn’t want. Sue and Dan delivered, actually, they over delivered! They gave us Bob! He was amazing! He read the crowd and played all the right music at all the right times! He did great introductions and led us through the evening in the most polite and dignified manner. The dance floor was busy all night and the cocktail hour music was such a mix that an one of the Bride’s Uncle’s wanted a copy of his playlist! Thank you to the Music Masters Team – Dan, Sue and especially BOB on helping to make our day Fabulous!!! We couldn’t be more grateful!
