Perfect night

The DJ was provided through our venue however they worked magic all night. I as the bride never wanted to leave the dance floor. My husband who rarely dances also spent the night dancing with me

Amazing Dj

Kevin really stood out from other DJs is his bubbly personality when my husband and I first reached out to him. He was very responsive throughout the whole process and had great communication. He brought the energy through out the wedding night, I highly recommend.

Awesome DJ for our wedding!

Kevin was a fantastic host and DJ for our wedding last weekend! He was always professional, and had great equipment that made our day extra special. I loved that he provided a hands-free mic for our officiant, party lights for the palm trees, and he had the coolest DJ booth! He nailed the entire day, always playing our planned songs at the exact right time, and he even had to loop the song for our wedding processional and did a fantastic job (multiple people I talked to didn't even notice). Once the dance started, he really came alive, doing a good mix of requests and crowd pleasers! The dance floor was always full and everyone was having the best time! I would definitely recommend Kevin for any events you have!

Saved the day!

Kevin saved our wedding day and took over after a different DJ backed out, and he absolutely blew us away. Kevin was so easy to work with and absolutely nailed the music for the whole night. We were absolutely thrilled to work with Kevin and just wish we’d gone with him in the first place! Thank you for everything!

Wow ! I cant give enough praise !!!

Planning a wedding can be stressful so thank God we were able to find Kevin from Musical Phunktions ! His process is very streamlined which took so much off of our plate, we were able to trust his abilities in not only playing amazing music all night but he was the BEST MC!!! Very communicative and professional , worth every penny! He came through for us in the best way possible and we wouldnt have changed a thing ! We will definitely hire again

Talented DJs!

We booked Kevin from Musical Phunktions for our wedding and couldn’t be happier. We gave him an odd collection of music requests ranging from hip hop, punk, country, cumbia, and 80s, and Kevin managed to keep up and make the flow of music perfect to keep people on the dance floor! We would always recommend his group for DJ needs!

Dj Kevro was the best and kept our dance floor full all night!

I met Dj Kevro at a bridal expo. He was very upbeat and you could tell he really loved and was passionate about his job! I Immediately knew I wanted him to DJ my wedding. I reviewed and saw other options but none compared. I hired him right away to make sure I got him for our date. He was super friendly, professional and accommodating. He was gracious& listened to all my requests and just killed it the day of! Our dance floor was never empty. I don’t think I left the dance floor myself! He played every song I wanted. Our guests are still talking about how fun our wedding was. I highly recommend them for any events you won’t be disappointed!

Awesome wedding DJ!

Musical Phunktions was a great choice for our wedding! Kevin was super quick to respond to any questions. He had an app we used to keep track of the songs we wanted played and it was super easy to use and it even had suggestions for songs which was super helpful.
Kevin created a personalized logo for us to go behind our sweetheart table and it was perfect!
Kevin made sure the events of the night (bouquet toss, anniversary dance, etc) ran smoothly and it was great not having to worry about it knowing it was taken care of.

Friendly and Flexible

DJ Prime was the dj for both our ceremony and reception and he did a wonderful job. Everything from the beginning to the end went super smoothly! Especially since he had to work with both an outdoor ceremony and reception setup. He also made it super fun and easy going for us and all the guests throughout dinner, speeches and dancing. I would recommend him to anyone whose getting married in the future!

Best wedding dj ever!

Kevin is AMAZING!!! His communication is great, music selection is great, and executed our reception FLAWLESSLY!!! All of our guests said by far best wedding reception ever because of the mood he created and music he played! He also has this app where you can literally input the exact song from YouTube you want to ensure it’s the correct version, eliminating all chances of error!

Kevin truly goes out of his way to find out what music you like and don’t like. The ambiance you want during each part of your wedding from guests entrance, Ceremony, cocktail hour till the end of the evening. It rained briefly during our reception and not one guest left the dance floor!!

We could never thank you enough for making this the best day of our lives!!!

Super fun DJ/MC

Kevin was our Wedding DJ and MC. He’s super friendly, professional, outgoing and has such great energy.

Everyone at our Wedding had a blast and some good laughs, bc Kevin gets the party started.

He played all the music and songs we requested.

Couldn't be happier!

My experience could not have gone better with Rich. He was very easy to talk to and helped me decided on what music to play during the reception, which was something I didn't realize how difficult it would be to have a well-rounded play list without upsetting some of my more conservative family members but he nailed it. I couldn't speak more highly of him he really made the process so simple.

absolutely incredible. Hands down the best around!

Kevin of musical Phunktions was absolutely incredible. He was friendly outgoing, funny and kept my guest engaged the entire time! He played all the best songs and kept everyone going all night. He even got our bridal party pumped up before the grand entrance. Kevin went above and beyond for me to get the name monogram that i had my heart set on! It requires him to call around a bunch of places and rush order it! When he initially called to tell me it may not make it in time, i told him not to worry about it and that i didn’t want him to make a big thing about it, but he must have heard the disappointment in my voice because less than a couple hours later i had the call that he was able to get it for me. And it looked AMAZING!! Also, the uplighting was incredible, and made such a difference at the reception. The color changed throughout the night and it made for some awesome pictures!!! Kevin, truly cares about each individual couple and making their day memorable and amazing.
Thank you Kevin so much for everything!! You made this bride VERY VERY happy!! 🙏❤️

Amazing Wedding DJ

Great music is the corner stone to any event, and Kevin delivered above and beyond our expectations. Before the date of the wedding, we had a call with Kevin to align our vision of the type of music vibes we wanted, and he nailed it. On top of that, he was able to handle musical genres of all sorts. Best DJ ever! Made our day perfect!

My friend recommended Kevin to us for our wedding day and it was the best decision I made. Not only was he professional and easy to work with he helped make our day perfect! We had different age ranges at our wedding and the music he played hit spot on and appealed to everyone. We had 60 year old aunt and uncles up dancing and partying with us which made the night even better. If you need a DJ please use him. You won’t regret it!

Best part of our wedding!

Kevin is the best DJ we’ve ever met...and we’ve met about 100 being in the wedding business ourselves! No one compares to the amount of energy, professionalism and variety of music choices that he brings. Kevin involves the whole crowd in the party and makes sure everyone from any generation is having fun on the dance floor! Every guest from our wedding kept telling us how much fun they had on the dance floor. He keeps everyone entertained and knows how to interact with the crowd tastefully! We wouldn’t have trusted anyone else except him. He’s communicative, reliable, and knows what he’s doing. Our wedding was a blast and we wish we could go back!

Best DJ ever!!

Where do I even begin.... Kevin was our DJ and we were just blown away with he's work. He was absolutely amazing. He had people on the dance floor all night long. Not once did it die down. He went above and beyond with hes services. He would come find me when it was time for the cake cutting, gater/ Bouquet toss and everything inbetween he was like a DJ and wedding corrdanator all in one! It's been a little over a week since our wedding and people are still talking about how awesome Kevin was and how they have never danced so much at a wedding. He was hands down the best DJ I have ever come across! When planning a wedding the best things to invest in is your photographer, the food and the entertainment and choosing Kevin made everything come together perfectly! I talked to him a few times before the wedding, he had a great detailed list of things for me to fill out (specific songs for dances and ceremony) and when I talked to him I let him know we were not that up to date on current music. We have 2 little girls and unless it's Disney or on the radio we don't really know much else. I told him the people coming to the wedding were mostly our age (in our 30s) and he played so many great throw backs from our high school days and our 20s. It was like we were young again dancing the night away! Every person young and old were dancing all night and we couldn't be more gretful for everything he did for us. Thank you so much Kevin!!!!

Kevin was an awesome DJ! We booked him after seeing his performance at a friends wedding. We were not disappointed and had compliments from our guests afterwards. Kevin was very professional and responsive via phone and email. He listened to all our requests and found a way to make the night exactly how we envisioned it. We had an issue with our mariachi and Kevin quickly took over with Spanish music so that no one noticed the problem. The most important part of our wedding for us was the music and ensuring our guests (and ourselves) had a fun event. I honestly can say our wedding was the best night of our lives and Kevin was a major part of that. Thank you!!!

Musical Phunktions DJs was amazing!! Kevin was our DJ for the big day and he made everything about the day so much fun! My grandmother wanted to incorporate a surprise at some point during the reception and Kevin allowed me to give his contact information to her so they would be able to coordinate together. Kevin was so much fun and so outgoing and very personable! He made our day and night a blast - we gave him a wide variety of genres to play during cocktail hour, dinner and reception and he exceeded every expectation we had and had our guests out of their seats all night long! The ratings don't lie of these wonderful DJ's. This past Friday, I had Richard as my DJ for our vow-renewal. Richard is very personable, professional that knows his music. I appreciate his willingness to go above & beyond with his service by checking to see if we were happy with the music, checked in of the flow of the event and most of all interacted with our guests. Our guests were very pleased and impressed of how he did not just be a typical DJ behind his turntable. They reconized his quality of service.

Kevin DJed our wedding at Serendipity Garden Weddings at the end of last month and we absolutely loved him. We had a consultation meeting with him prior to the big day to go over all the details and the genres of music that we wanted to play that night. Throughout the night, we received many compliments about him and the music that he was playing. He did a fantastic job pumping up the crowd for the bridal party and grand entrances and even got tons of participation for the bouquet and garter tosses. In addition, I threw a curveball at him and asked him to change the sparkler exit song at the very last minute, and he accommodated. There was only one miss the entire day, which wasn't enough to deduct a star, but I just wanted to mention it. The timing was off for the music during our ceremony. The song that was supposed to play as I began to walk down the aisle started playing as I was coming down in the carriage. It was kind of sad for us because we had played in our heads over and over how we imagined it would go and also because the beginning of the song has such an emotional impact, but nobody noticed other than my husband, bridal party, and myself. Other than that, everything was perfect and we would be happy to work with Kevin again! He is a great DJ and an amazing human being. Thank you!

We used Musical Phunktions as part of a package at Serendipity Garden Weddings - and we are so glad we did! Kevin was very easy to work with and made us feel very comfortable during our meetings and on the wedding day. He completely understood our music choices and transitioned dance songs to the feel of the crowd. We also paid extra to use their projector and screen. We had our wedding at Serendipity Garden and DJ Rich was our DJ for the night. He was amazing! He perfectly played every song we asked for. During our interview with him, we voiced a few concerns about a couple of songs we had chosen. He said no problem, and made it happen—he mashed up I’ll Be There For You by the Rembrandts with Perfect Day by Hoku for our bridal party’s grand entrance. He checked in with us throughout the night to see how we were feeling and when to do festivities. He even offered to play a song for us during our sparkler exit. Rich was great with the people requesting songs from him, asking us if the song choice was ok first. In the last couple of weeks leading up to our wedding, we even texted him a couple of songs we'd like to hear, and I'm pretty sure we heard them all! We had a blast, and there wasn't one song played that we didn't like.

If you are looking for the best DJ/s around, guys with class, great spirit & attitude, with a banging selection of music... LOOK NO FURTHER! When initially looking for a DJ for our wedding, my husband and I contacted a few vendors.. and let me say, the moment we spoke to Kevin on the phone we knew Musical Phunktions was the way to go! We met with Kevin a few months prior to our event and he informed us that once we made our music selections he and his partner, Rich, would determine who was just the right fit for our wedding... and Rich was the winner! DJ Rich was FANTASTIC!! He kept the music coming, kept it lively for all our guests and just made the entire evening fun and exciting. I really appreciated that he kept the music going until the end of the night for my parents and their friends, as our reception ended a bit earlier than we had thought, but close family and friends stayed long after my husband and I left for the evening. He was very personable and really focuses on what you and your fiancé want for the big day. Leading up to the wedding he went over everything with me and followed up closer to the wedding to see if he could help with anything. My husband and I had the pleasure of having Musical Phunktions DJ for our wedding. We first met Kevin at our venue open house and asked him a handful of questions. Right off the bat, we were enthused about his services. We'd been in contact with Rich and he too showed the professionalism that we'd hoped for! The week of our wedding, Kevin met with my husband and I to go over the details of our wedding and to better organize our event. He was so down to earth and we felt comfortable right off the bat. He offered his professional opinion, which helped us out tremendously! Having Kevin play at our wedding was such a great experience! Although we had some major hiccups at our wedding (unrelated to the DJ services), Kevin stepped up and assured us that everything was going to be okay. This made a world of a difference to my husband and I! He played a variety of music for all of our guests to enjoy and dance to.
Following the wedding, we got many compliments about our DJ. A handful of family and friends asked us if Kevin was our friend because it seemed like he'd known us for a while. Although we barely had met him, this speaks volume of the type of person he is and how personable he is.

Kevin at Musical Phunktions djed and emceed our wedding in September 2016 and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Kevin was easy to work with and very attentive to any needs or concerns that we had throughout the process. He's great at emceeing (he kept our guests engaged throughout the night) and was masterful in his mixing and song choice. We asked for 90s hip hop with a mix of funk and some current hits, and he delivered beyond our expectations (I used to dj too and have cringed at many mixes at parties). We had numerous compliments from our guests of all ages and backgrounds.

On top of his skill, Kevin was very likeable and down-to-earth. When you're getting married you want to work with people who you genuinely like, and that's what we found with musical phunktions. I'd recommend anyone looking for a wedding dj to check them out.

The first time my husband and I met Kevin from Musical Phunktions was actually at our friend’s wedding a few months before we got engaged. We were so impressed with his MC’ing and DJ’ing skills, we knew we had to have him for our wedding. We called Musical Phunktions for an initial quote, and Kevin called back within 5 minutes! I was thoroughly impressed. He had us fill out a form with all of the “official” songs, our timeline, and our favorite dance songs, and he took it from there! He totally got our vibe and the type of music we wanted to dance to at our wedding. Plus, he was able to get everyone engaged and into it! Highly highly recommend Kevin for your wedding!

Kevin from Musical Phunktions is amazing! He went way beyond what was necessary to be our DJ. We met Kevin when he was DJ-ing our friend’s wedding at Serendipity. He did an amazing job at keeping the mood upbeat, MC-ing, running the wedding, and playing a great mix of music to keep the party going into a night to remember.

Fast forward a year when my wife and I got engaged. Kevin was hands down our first and only choice for a DJ for our wedding. We couldn't see it any differently. So we called him up first thing and booked him.

Unfortunately due to a communication error with his team, he ended up getting double booked and wasn't able to DJ for our wedding. We were so bummed, but he referred us another DJ and was willing to pay $100 towards our fee to book them or anyone else.

We contacted the referral and long story short they weren’t a great fit. Not as upbeat/friendly or as competitively priced. We contacted Kevin for more referrals and he apologized and told us that he specifically looks for people with a great upbeat attitude/personality and customer service skills when hiring for Musical Phunktion.

In the end Kevin pulled some strings and was able to get his gig covered. Kevin was officially our DJ and we couldn't be more excited! Not only was Kevin amazing to work with, but I can't thank him enough for how perfect our wedding was and what a pleasure it was to work with him. He even brought lights, which are normally an extra charge, to our wedding for free.

Kevin strives to make every wedding fun, upbeat, running smooth, and keep the party going with a great attitude, exceptional customer service, and music tailored to the bride/groom and people at each unique wedding. Anyone can play music, but not everyone can set the tone, keep everything moving smoothly, and inspire confidence so that you as the bride/groom can relax and enjoy your day. Don't hesitate and don't bother looking anywhere else. Kevin and his team are the real deal.

Kevin nailed it in capturing the type of music we wanted played during our wedding, which was very diverse. Everything from 40's big band to country to dance music. He is a good listener and will do what you want and not what he wants. He is very professional and we highly recommend him. Our guests had a blast.

DJ Kevin knew exactly how to entertain our guest and play exactly what everyone wanted to hear! He was the perfect MC! He asks for a small playlist of some of your favorite songs and some of your not so favorite songs and then he takes it from there and knows exactly what to play :) He also did a phone conversation with my fiance and I to review specific songs we requested and also to make sure he was getting the right vibe of music we like. Everyone who attended our wedding danced and had the absolute BEST time! We also decided to include a light package from him that brought the perfect touch to our wedding! We were thrilled to have him as our DJ! You will not regret choosing him! PS- he also has an awesome instagram!!

Kevin is an awesome DJ & MC!! You won't regret booking him!! But if you need some convincing, read on....

He took time to meet with us over the phone and get an idea of what kind of music we wanted. We also shared a playlist with him and he did a perfect job of integrating what we wanted with how the crowd was feeling - it was a great mix for everyone!

Kevin also takes his MC duties seriously, he would quickly check in with us to make sure we were good and would give us a heads up toward the next activity (grand entrance, formal dances, speeches,cake cutting, etc). Sometimes you get caught up in mingling so I REALLY appreciated that because everything truly does go so fast on your wedding day. It would have felt even faster if we were finished with one activity and called to do the next, with no notice. Thank you for doing this, Kevin!

He's so fun and professional! With everything else you have to worry about, you won't have to worry about your DJ/MC. He facilitates with your vision in mind - he felt like a friend leading the party! Highly recommend!

Months after our wedding people were still talking about it as the "party that never ended." That is in large part to DJ Kevro of Musical Phunktions. From the time the guests arrived to the time he was obligated to pack up and leave, it's like he made it his mission to make sure our guests had a great time (which I was greatly appreciative for given some of the hiccups at our wedding) and they absolutely did. Through cocktail hour, dinner, dancing, the music was set to fit the mood and our personalities perfectly. On time, completely professional and courteous I would absolutely use Musical Phunktions again and again!

Musical Phunktions was a great addition to our wedding!! He allowed for requests and played just about all the songs we asked for before the wedding. He loves to get everyone on the dance floor and throw a great party :)

Our DJ, Kevin of Musical Phunktions, was very accommodating of our (seriously late) music requests. The song cues were on point, he interpreted our requests for the musical moods very well and made for a great dance floor. Kevin was pre-selected by our venue as the DJ vendor on our Serendipity Garden Weddings package, but I'd say that it was a great choice and a great fit for the venue. A small issue arose with fitting in our specific song requests at the close of the night, but it was accomplished to our satisfaction. Overall we were very happy with Kevin's MCing and DJing.

Good energetic fun filled experience

Would have liked to hear the vows at the ceremony and slightly higher volume at times. However, this DJ was energetic, kind, flexible, fun and lovely to work with. He not only was our DJ but checking on us and making sure we were taken care of. Thank you.

Great MC'ing throughout the night. Never a dull moment. Transitions/segways into next parts of the program were seamless. Maintained a pleasant, high-intensity, party vibe.

There were some program songs that I requested to be changed on the questionnaire but weren't and some artists that I requested to be played within the specified genres but weren't. Technical difficulties with the slideshow/trailer.
