Master of a great party!

Chet kept our wedding rocking all night long! He was able to perfectly read the room and there was not a single moment where people were not out of their seats and dancing! He provided great service, made sure all of our needs were met and overall was an absolute pleasure to work with! I would highly recommend Chet as a Wedding DJ to anyone and everyone!

Very professional/excellent experience

Chet with musical expressions was an amazing DJ that kept our party going all night! His Photo Booth with the ability to text the photos to multiple phone numbers was such a big hit with all our guests! His database of songs had everything we wanted for all genres, and when we weren’t positive what music to play for certain situations, Chet had our back with perfect suggestions at every spot. If you are looking for an experienced DJ you can rely on to help keep your wedding day fun and stress free, Chet is your guy!

Dance Floor was Packed

We had a wonderful experience with Musical Expressions for our wedding. Chet Light was organized, attentive, and thorough as we made our musical selections. Their platform for selecting your playlist for each of the wedding’s events was very easy to use. Terry, Chet’s colleague who was our DJ on the big day, executed everything beautifully: the ceremony music, the cocktail hour and dinner music, and the dancing! We used Chet because of the wonderful work he did for our brother’s wedding - Chet DJ’ed that wedding. Whether you have Chet or Terry DJ-ing your wedding, you are in extremely good hands! We can’t say enough good things!

Such a fun DJ!!

We met Chet at our venue's open house and it is clear why he's one of their preferred vendors. He made every event run smoothly from the ceremony to the end of the night. All of our guests were able to hear every word during the ceremony, even those sitting in the back. During the reception he took our music requests and added a few of his own suggestions that aligned with the music we liked and made an amazing set list that had people on the dance floor ALL NIGHT! We couldn't have had a better DJ for our wedding, thanks Chet!

Partied all night long

Chet was AMAZING. I may be biased since it was my wedding... However, I have never seen so many people stay on the dance floor all night long. Everyone was drenched in sweat from dancing. I gave Chet some creative freedom with my playlist and I'm very glad that I did. He knows how to pump up the crowd. I also used Chet for my ceremony music and he was wonderful at that too! I HIGHLY recommend using him as your DJ for any event. Thanks so much Chet!!!

Ceremony, wedding

I cannot say enough great things about Chet and his business. He made our entire wedding day flow with ease. From the ceremony, to cocktail hour, to dinner and reception the music was always present and always playing the right tune. I had so many compliments about Chet from many guests! Chet is easy to work with, patient, kind, and attentive to detail. Without Chet our day would not of been the same. Let’s just say we were dancing the night away! Thank you again Chet!

Chet is Awesome!

We could not have asked for a better DJ for our wedding. Chet was so easy to work with and after meeting with him he knew exactly how we wanted the night to go and what we wanted to hear. His portal online also was extremely helpful during the planning process and the social media photobooth and up lighting were fantastic additions to our wedding. We highly recommend using Chet, he's excellent!!

DJ Chet listens to your every word and helps come up with great ideas!

I had a thirty minute meeting with Chet regarding what music I like and he turned it into an experience for everyone! Carefully picking songs that everyone will dance to and that I would enjoy. He was also very accommodating to my sister in law singing and one of our guests deciding to surprise us with a song last minute! I couldn't have asked for a better DJ! His son also tending our photo booth and was great with our guests. Seriously don't hesitate to book!

Great dj and photobooth

My husband Chris and I got married on 7/9/2021 at Meredith Manor Venue in Pottstown, PA and found Chet Light on their preferred vendor list. We knew we wanted someone who was familiar with our venue and highly recommended by their staff which is why we started with this list. Our photographer and officiant are also preferred vendors so they were familiar with Chet which helped make our entire day run very smoothly. We got to meet with Chet in person about a month prior to the wedding to review all the final details. I shared with him a new idea I had for a "photo challenge" where we wanted to get a photo with each table during the length of a song. He help us find the perfect spot for it in our timeline when most guests would be seated. It went perfect!

In addition to ceremony music/microphones, and DJing our reception we also used his modern photo booth. It was great! Our guests had a lot of fun using the photobooth and I have enjoyed looking back at the pictures.

Chris and I highly recommend Chet Light for your wedding or event!

The best DJ!!

Chet did my brother & sister-in-law’s wedding 6 years ago so we knew he would be fantastic-and he was!! He provided cocktail hour & reception music as well as uplighting. The dance floor was FULL all night long!!! We were pretty involved in selecting music & were able to make Chet a playlist with must play/play if possible/do not play songs. He did a great job with playing a variety of must-dance-to songs from all generations. If a guest had a song request, Chet made sure he found us & asked what we thought of it before agreeing to play it, which we really appreciated. He also made sure the uplighting was okay with us before everything got started. We changed our cake cutting song in his online system at the last minute and forgot to tell him-he had already checked & had it ready to play when it was time. An awesome, personable, talented guy who just does the job without any of the extra gimmicks-no worries about extra commentary, dancing, or trying to “steal the show as the MC” like some other DJs do-do not hesitate to book with him!!! We had so many people during & after the wedding go out of their way to tell us our DJ was amazing!!! Additionally, I have been telling everyone looking to book vendors to look at reviews from covid couples-which we are. We had to postpone from summer of 2020 to summer of 2021. Chet simply sent us a new contract for our new date as soon as we postponed. No extra fees or a hard time given in the slightest. The wedding industry was hit hard by the covid shutdown & vendors like Chet who worked with you through this situation that was beyond anybody’s control are the vendors who deserve to be raved about and especially considered for booking in the future. Amazing night!

My husband and I hired Chet for our wedding reception and he was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was flexible and made great suggestions based on his experience. He really aimed to make the night go exactly the way we intended it to and he kept the evening moving along in a timely fashion. He was super low maintenance and I really didn’t have to “check in” on him that day as he showed up and had everything totally under control. Our dance floor was full all night and Chet knew what songs to play to cater to his audience. Very professional. Made an effort to learn correct name pronunciations and pays attention to detail when getting to know your music preferences and style. I would highly recommend him for any event. I can honestly say my own wedding was the most fun wedding I’ve ever been at and it was largely because of Chet and his expertise. Everyone had a blast!

Beyond excellent! Affordable

We got married 3/23/19 and Chet was fantastic! An absolute blast! We were able to add and omit songs from our computer and make playlists, he was very patient and helped guide us through our music selection. The photo booth was awesome I still go through all the funny pictures of my guests! The uplifting added that extra factor we didn’t know we needed and the wireless microphones for our ceremony were essential! My guest could actually hear us! Lol! Everything was flawless with Chet and extremely affordable! Don’t hesitate-Chet is your guy!

Super fun DJ!

Chet DJ'd our wedding on 9/20/2019. He came highly recommended through our wedding vendor and we are so glad we booked with him! Everything was smooth and he was easy to work with. We also booked the photo booth and EVERYONE loved the photo booth. Such a fun experience and our wedding was perfect!

Chet was amazing in helping with every detail from the very first meeting, we weren't very sure of what we wanted and he walked us through every step! He answered every email in a very timely matter and was very accommodating for us being from out of the state with setting up a meeting time. Not to mention he kept the dance floor going all night!!! We also added on the photo booth and couldn't be happier with the results, it is so nice being able to look back at all the photos and they really show the guest had a great time with it! I would 100% recommend Chet to anyone looking for a Dj!

Chet light was definitely the best choice we could have made for our wedding. From our very first meeting with him he was friendly, personable and professional. His website was very easy to use and he accommodated all of our request throughout the entire planning process. From the time the ceremony started until the very last dance of the night Chet was absolutely amazing. We met Chet at a wedding open house at Meredith Manor and selected him to be our DJ for our wedding there in October. We are so glad we met him and chose him for our special day! Chet was easy to work with, listened to our wants and was able to adjust the schedule on the fly when things took longer than expected on the night of the wedding. His website is great and you are able to build your own playlist and tell him what you absolutely want played or don’t want played. Chet provided the music and karaoke for our wedding in April 2017. He did a fantastic job gathering our requests and creating a festive atmosphere.

He was able to adjust how he displayed karaoke lyrics based on the group-sing style we like, and it was great.

My husband and I hired Chet as our DJ for our wedding at Meredith Manor in Pottstown. We met with him twice before the wedding, and he was incredibly thorough and really listened to what we wanted. I love that his website enables you to create different playlists for your reception, which we definitely utilized. Everything for the ceremony was great, and I loved the microphones he used because everyone heard everything in our ceremony very clearly. Chet checked in with us between the ceremony and reception to make sure we were on the same page, and he even checked with us when people requested songs to make sure that was okay with us. I really enjoyed having Chet as our DJ and would recommend him to anyone!

Chet is a truly fantastic DJ, and I am so happy that I decided to book him for my wedding. He was always very courteous, accommodating and professional throughout the whole planning process. Chet was great as our DJ! He made sure we didn't have to worry about anything on our wedding day and was very flexible with last minute changes! We were able to create a playlist off of music he had in his database and he was able to play off of that. Chet was great at making everything flow nicely and got everyone to where they needed to be. Chet was great! We met with him twice before the wedding. He was professional, well-organized, and kind. We used his website to let him know which songs we definitely wanted him to play, songs to play if possible, and which we didn't want played. He was flexible with our requests and even customized a song for us, mixing together two songs. He was great at keeping our guests on the dance floor until the very end of the night! He also checked in with us a couple of times throughout the night to make sure that everything was going the way that we wanted. He provided the dance party that we were hoping for!

Our wedding was at Meredith Manor where Chet frequently DJs. We met with him twice to talk with him about our music preference and vision for the night. We used the music selection tool on his website to help choose songs for the night. However, I ended up giving him free reign on what he thought would flow the best throughout the night.

With that said, Chet was THE BEST! Chet literally kept the dance floor packed from start to finish. All of my guests commented on how much fun they had and how great the music was. He even kept grandmom happy without disappointing everyone else ;)

Chet is so down to earth, professional, and so accommodating. We had last minute requests the day of and he made it happen without blinking an eye. I couldn't be any happier!. Thanks for helping to make our day perfect.

Chet was great to work with. He was very accommodating to all of our requests and really did his best to make our day as perfect as possible. He was also great at communicating with us the day of so we knew where we were in our time line. Super friendly and really intuitive - by the time we sat down with him to finalize our playlist, I was as frazzled as any bride at that point in the process. He was patient and understood my babbling and helped me make sense of what we were looking for. We would definitely recommend him!

Hiring Chet as our wedding DJ was one of the best decisions we made! We saw him in action at another wedding and we knew we couldn't go wrong. Our main goal was to keep the dance floor packed all night and Chet did not let us down. It was actually packed all the way through the last song and he truly created the perfect unforgettable party atmosphere that we were hoping for. Our guests are still talking about how good our DJ was, how there was the perfect mix of music to please the whole crowd, and how they all had an absolute blast all night. Chet was able to take all of our ideas and truly make them come to life. He helped make the night run incredibly smooth and my husband and I didn't have to worry about anything----we were able to soak it all up and enjoy every second. The worst part was that it had to end! We also loved that we had the ability to select our music online and continuously update it as we remembered another song we wanted to play or if we changed our mind. Chet was great to work with from beginning to end and I would highly recommend him to any couple looking for that perfect wedding DJ that will really cater to your every need. Not only is the value for the service you receive incredible and so much more affordable than other DJs, but the service itself is truly outstanding. Thank you for everything, Chet!!! You rock!!

I was impressed right from the start! Before I even met Chet I worked with his website and it was the best out there!!!! The planning form took all the guessing out of the planning! The song selection was everything could ask for! Once I met Chet it was the easiest decision I made to hire him! He made it all about me and my needs! He had suggestions but bottom line he was there to give me exactly what I invisioned for my special day! His personality was just amazing and my husband even said it was the best meeting I drug him too! The day itself was outstanding! I got a ton of compliments regarding Chet's service and without a doubt would recommend him to anyone in need of a DJ! The music didn't stop and he kept the energy up from beginning till the very end! You won't regret hiring Chet!

Chet was amazing and everything my husband and I were looking for in a DJ during our 8/1/14 wedding. His pre-wedding checklist for songs selections made our planning appointment with him a breeze. He had great suggestions for us and made the appointment very enjoyable. During our wedding, the musical selection he created made everyone get up and dance. Chet was a fantastic DJ!! Even though he just met us, he did everything possible to make our day special! He sat down with us to go over all the details and let us make as many decisions as we wanted to--he made it so easy on me (the bride). Even on the day itself I changed my mind on something and he went with it no problem!

A lot of friends recommended we go with a DJ/Master of Ceremonies that we knew because you can trust that person to do a good job. After meeting with Chet, I was confident he would do a fantastic and professional job, and he did! I was very impressed!!

Chet was recommended to me by my wedding venue as one of their preferred DJ's. I looked into him and liked everything! He listened to what I wanted, such as no line dances, except if in dire need to get guests out on the dance floor, or songs I absolutely did not want played. I loved the fact that he has a music database that you can listen to songs then add the songs to lists such as "must play", "do not play", etc. He kept his word on not playing the songs we didn't want played, as well as trying to incorporate my husbands eclectic songs he wanted played. He played exactly what we wanted for our ceremony, and as far as I know cocktail music was great, since I didn't get a chance to get in there because we took pictures in all of that time, hahah (didn't hear any complaints from guests, so all is good!). Dinner music was perfect! And he checked with me to make sure the volume wasn't too loud either while guests were eating, which I loved! Music for the remainder of the reception was great too, and nothing was every too loud! My grandparents all enjoyed themselves because they could hear themselves talk, hahaha, but was a main detail I wanted to make sure was addressed for them :) All in all Chet did a great job! Thank you so much for making our wedding day perfect!

I was a little hesitant when the venue my husband and I choose recommended that they use their preferred DJ vendors until we sat down and talked to Chet from Musical expressions. He was professional and took the time to learn what our musical styles were, the theme of our wedding to play the perfect music. He also played the music for our ceremony and made sure our song was timed perfectly! He played most all of the music we had put on our please play list and kept the party flowing all night.. I had so many reviews on the music and everyone had a great time dancing!! Highly recommend Chet!

Chet was extremely helpful and a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend using him for any occasion. We were able to setup our playlist online through his site. When we met before the wedding he helped us to organize the events at our reception and setup a timeline. He kept everything moving smoothly and also kept the dance floor full of people. We were married at Meredith Manor which requires microphone and music for the ceremony also. Chet provided all of that and it was perfect.

Chet also provided uplighting during our reception which made the tent look even more amazing and the best part was that we were able to pick a color that matched our wedding colors.

We hired Chet for our wedding after being impressed by him at another wedding. This is by far the best bang for the buck in the wedding DJ industry. Extremely affordable combined with high quality is a rare find. The dance floor was packed the entire night. Chet is also very flexible dealing with last minute changes.

I believe that choosing the right DJ is one of the most important parts of planning a wedding. I am so happy that we chose to have Chet Light provide the music for our special day. Chet was extremely flexible with the hours of the wedding/reception and was very affordable. He easily understood the type of music that we liked and managed to keep all of our wedding guests on the dance floor all night long! I received numerous compliments from our guests on how much they enjoyed the music. Chet's website even allows you to choose the songs you definitely want to hear vs. the songs you refuse to have played on your special day. Chet made this aspect of our wedding completely stress free and for that I am very appreciative!

Musical Expressions By Chet Light is the way to go! Chet was so pleasant and professional, we really enjoyed working with him. He is organized and has the Wedding DJ role down so well that we didn't even need to provide any playlist outside of the usual processional, entrance and first dance songs. Chet went absolutely above and beyond the call of duty. Our wedding combined 2 different cultures and the music that embraces those cultures together, which fused an eclectic playlist. Chet made what seemed like mission impossible (Getting all of our guests on the Dance floor) a figment of our imagination.

To date almost 6 months later, I still have family and friends say that the DJ at our wedding was the best that they have seen. Chet you are flawless, and we greatly appreciate all that you did for us!

Chet Light helped make our wedding day and night simply amazing. Chet was more then we could have hoped for. Serving as not only the DJ for the night, but as the MC of the whole event and helped coordinate everything throughout the day. All the planning previous to the wedding was handled very professionally and really was easy for anyone. Chet is such a pro. We got married at Meredith Manor in Oct. 2012 and he provided the music for our ceremony and reception. Chet worked with us on the play list and coordinated with the venue on the various aspects of the day (you have to use a preferred DJ with Meredith Manor and it makes everything so much easier!). The playlist from start to finish was perfect, I would recommend his DJ services to anyone for any occasion!

Chet was wonderful. From the first meeting with him, he helped us plan out our wedding. What seemed at first like a daunting task, he made us feel comfortable by encouraging our input, as well as adding his own suggestions based on his vast experience. He somehow made the planning fun!

He is a DJ who not only will play music, but will figuratively narrate your event from start to finish. He is not a DJ that will make the event about himself. He won't steal the spotlight, he will only help to direct the spotlight onto the event. He will play the songs you ask, but will also make inferences based on your list, and play other songs that fit your style/event perfectly. Chet actually played songs that we forgot to tell him to play, but wanted to hear. That's how good he is. He is professional, helpful and extremely talented.

As an addition to the package, he is able to provide your event with uplighting in any color. This added an entirely new dimension to our Wedding. People are still talking about it.

I have experience in the entertainment business, and highly recommend Chet for any event.

Planning a wedding is stressful and anything or anyone that decreases the stress is always welcome... well, Chet Light is that person when it comes to music for the entire day. Not only did he provide the DJ services at the reception he also provided music at the ceremony site. He was very helpful with song suggestions and enhancing what vision we had. Everything went so smoothly the entire day, from the ceremony through all of the reception activities. The day was perfect and Chet Light was a big part of that. Chet was an awesome DJ. He is a very personable person and very easy to get along with. He was professional and always responded to questions quickly and efficiently. He double checked with me on things because he wanted to be sure that he had everything written down that we had wanted. We left most of the song choices up to Chet for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Our dance floor was never empty and our guests talked about how great the music was and how much fun they had dancing. I would highly recommend Chet as he has a lot of experience, is easy to work with, and is just great at what he does. He is also very reasonably priced.

Chet was fabulous!! He honored all of our requests. His on-line playlist selecting tool was great! We were able to make our playlist when it was convenient for us. Chet did an excellent job of keeping the dance floor packed. Music is such an important part of any event- Chet came highly recommended to us and as music lovers- we were not let down. Chet was an amazing person to work with. Starting the day that we discussed the details of the wedding, Chet made my husband and I feel extremely comfortable and confident in his work. Chet knew the whole set up of our venue like the back of his hand, and the whole wedding day was flawless from the ceremony to the reception.

During dinner, I suddenly didn't feel well and Chet was so amazingly kind, he checked in on me several times and did everything that he could do to stall the main dances. As soon as I felt better, he started everything up and we were good to go.

Chet kept the party going the whole night and I didn't worry for a second whether or not our guests were having a good time, the empty seats and full dance floor said it all.

My husband and I got married July 28th 2012 and Chet was recommended to us by Meredith Manor. We are very happy that they did. He met with us to discuss our likes and dislikes, and even though my husband and I have different styles of music he was able to accommodate both of us and keep our guest entertain and engaged.

Well what can I say about Chet - first off he is great to work with. He was very attentive to our needs and wants for our wedding ceremony and reception. I primarily corresponded with Chet through email and he responded very quickly every time. His website is user friendly and super helpful when planning songs for the reception. I was able to give him a "do not play" list prior to the wedding which was great and he really obeyed by it :)

My husband was persistent about getting up-lighting for our reception which I thought was a great addition as well. Chet met us at our venue and showed us exactly the color our up-lighting would be the for the reception. Everyone could not believe how beautiful it was and how much fun they had....they did not want the night to end and they are still talking about it today! When in doubt for a good DJ - please pick Chet. I have used many DJ's in the past and Chet was the best!!

Chet was absolutey fantastic for our wedding! He had been the dj for my sister-in-laws wedding two years before ours, so we knew he would be great. He was incredibly easy to get a hold of, especially as the day drew closer. Chet was also very receptive to our ideas, while always offering his professional opinion for things we weren't sure on. He was a fabulous MC for the entire night, being totally receptive to music requests from our guests while completely keeping our requested style of music in mind. Our wedding would not have been the same without him!

I am currently in the process of booking Musical Expressions for my company's holiday party! I would highly recommend him to anyone!!

Chet is the AWESOMEST DJ EVER!!!!!!!!!! He was so kind, easy to talk to and patient. He is an all around good guy. He knew exactly what I was looking for and he when above and beyond. I loved the most that he was nothing like a cornywedding dj you know kinda like from the movie the wedding singer??? He was the farthest thing from that! Chet was a great DJ, very flexible and professional. We met with him twice before the wedding and were able to discuss everything we wanted. We had a number of songs we wanted played, and Chet has a fantastic website where you can create and upload your own playlist, including songs you don't want played.
He is very reasonably priced, and also provided all the music for the cocktail hour, as well as the amplification for the ceremony musician and officiant. He kept people on the dance floor all night, and we highly recommend him!

Chet did a fantastic job. We had a very conservative group, and he made sure the songs were clean and appropriate. He allowed us to provide an exact song list and a list of songs we did NOT want played, and he oversaw all of this. He was great at announcing the wedding party, announcing when the couple had to dance, cut the cake etc.

Let me begin by saying that Chet is a very kind, and extremely professional man. He offered some good ideas, and was always prompt in answering any questions or concerns I had. Unfotunately, my husband and I were very disappointed with the service received. One of his micrphones, didn't operate during our ceremony, and our reception music wasn't as upbeat and fun as we were hoping. Sound system was pretty low, and I asked that no songs be played with cussing and to my disappointment there was one. He only played two line dancing songs, so the only people on the dance floor most of the time were me and the children. He didn't say much too get the guest excited, and I was told that he didn't have a lot of the music requested. Maybe just a off day for him. Wish I could say more positive things, because he really was a nice man, and very easy too work with.
