Wonderful wedding ceremony music!

We used John and musical discovery team for our wedding ceremony music and they were fantastic. I got a ton of compliments on how nice it was from guests. John was very responsive and so easy to work with. They were able to accommodate my specific song choices and music requests. I would highly recommend them!

Talented musicians adding the perfect amount of romance to a ceremony

These musicians are truly so talented and professional. We hired the string quartet to play for our wedding ceremony and they played so beautifully and kept to the type of music we requested. I (as the bride) unfortunately only got to hear a selection of what they played but we received tons of compliments on how beautiful the music was leading into the ceremony. It was especially nice as we were slightly delayed in getting started. Would highly recommend these musicians for anyone interested in adding that extra romantic feel to their ceremony!!

Our Musicians and Their Classic Elegance

Our musicians, Naomi Frausto (violin) and Jackie Wogisck (cello), were excellent. At our small outdoor ceremony, they added an elegant, classic, old world, European flair with their performances of Bach, Vivaldi, Handel, Purcell, etc. They were the perfect accompaniment for our daughter and son-in-law creating a magical, enchanting atmosphere. You need them!

John and his team were exceptional at our wedding this past year! Highly recommend them if you want to add the perfect addition to your special day. I can’t thank them enough for the beauty that they added to the ceremony. The process and planning was so easy and they have so many pieces of music that can make your most important moments feel like a movie. We picked a mix of classical, old, and current songs that are timeless. The right music can change the experience for everyone and our guests were talking about their professionalism for weeks. 10/10 A+. They were amazing!

Awesome wooo!

John and his team of expert musicians were excellent and a pleasure to work with. They went above and beyond for our wedding, playing songs that were not on their set list like "I want it that way", "Head Over Boots" and "The Godfather Theme"! John and his musicians were super detailed oriented, a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend them for any string event!

A+++++ Musicians!

My wife and I were very pleased with how well our wedding ceremony and cocktail music were performed during our April 2021 wedding. Jon helped us arrange a special piece of music for the Bride's processional which was executed perfectly - just like I had imagined. He was very responsive, and I could tell he cared just as much about getting things right as I did. I would recommend Musical Discovery to anybody looking for top-notch classical musicians at their event.

The best wedding string trio!

Musical Discovery Chamber Players are the BEST! We had the string trio play at our wedding in April 2021 and they were amazing! They really made the ceremony so beautiful. They played during our ceremony and during cocktail hour. We loved the mix between classic and contemporary songs they played and received so many comments from guests about how great they were! They were so kind and easy to work with as well. They really made our wedding so special and exceeded our expectations. I cannot recommend Musical Discovery Chamber Players enough!!

Loved this group!

After discovering this group and the Austin Bridal Extravaganza, we had them play at our wedding in Austin. As a vendor they were extremely kind and professional, had a quick response time and confirmed everything we wanted. They were extremely gracious with need to reschedule our wedding three times due to COVID. They were a joy to have at our wedding, I can not recommend them enough!

Amazing Trio players

Amazing musicians!

I'm so happy I ran into Jill while at the Bridal show in Austin last year! When I heard/saw all the musicians playing so beautifully I decided on the spot I needed to have them at the wedding ceremony!! John helped us pick out wedding music and they were so amazingly accommodating to our special song requests including Hava Nagila and multiple songs from the Lord of the Rings.They were incredibly communicative and helpful with all the planning and coordination involved. We couldn't be happier with them!!!! :)

Wonderful Solo Violin for Wedding Ceremony

I first saw Musical Discovery Chamber Players perform at a local bridal expo and knew right away that I had to incorporate them into our wedding ceremony. The entire booking process was easy, thorough and affordable. Having just a solo violinist added a personal touch with our song choices and an elevated guest experience. It was beautiful and I highly recommend to anyone considering live music at their wedding or gathering! Thank you MDCP for being such a special part of our big day.

Wedding Music

We decided last minute to engage a duo (cello and violin) with Musical Discovery Chamber Players musicians for my daughters hill country wedding, and could not have been more pleased. Amazing sound

Jill was very easy to work with! She listened to what we wanted for the ceremony music and made it happen. The music during the ceremony was so beautiful some people didn’t even realize it was live music. We would highly recommend them for any event.

The Best Choice

Musical Discovery was the best decision we made for our wedding ceremony music! Jill was very nice and professional and we were able to pick the songs we wanted to hear. Our guest are still raving about their performance! Some of our guest were asking “how did they get the classical version of this song?” They were THAT good!! We plan to book them again for another event! A great choice.

Wedding Ceremony and cocktail hour musicians

I hired Musical Discovery Chamber Players after speaking with several different music groups around Austin. They played all of my ceremony music and for our cocktail hour as well. They were affordable and very easy to work with. They also play beautifully and are wonderful musicians!

Jill was so accommodating to my ideas and very flexible. Their repertoire selection contains a wide variety of music including a popular selection as well as classical. You are sure to find the perfect songs on their list. Jill was very helpful at recommending selections and suggesting pieces I hadn’t thought about but fit flawlessly with our ceremony. The group new exactly when to start and stop without cue throughout he ceremony.

They helped to make my wedding day unforgettable and added the special touches I didn’t know that I needed!

Unlike every other string quartet, this group allows wide latitude in selecting a wedding program's choices. Pick and choose from any number of themed formats or completely design the musical program from an exhaustive playlist. Once we picked the program, it was up to Musical Discovery to perform and they were magnificent. I could not have imagined a more elegant ceremony for which this group deserves much credit. Their ability to shorten or extend songs so that processionals and recessionals are perfectly timed to the music is amazing. And the beautiful sound that comes from the instruments was breathtaking. I will re-live the ceremony for many years and when I do I will be hearing some of the sweetest music imaginable.

Beautiful music and excellent customer service! It was such a pleasure dealing with Jill and her group for my wedding (November 4, 2017 in Fredericksburg). The ceremony music was beautiful - they worked easily with my requests, even working with one of my good friends to perform a song during the ceremony. The quartet also performed during the cocktail hour and definitely set the mood for an extremely enjoyable and peaceful evening in the hill country. So pleased!!

Musical Discovery added so much to our wedding ceremony. We had a whole quartet set up in a gazebo and I'm never going to forget the musical aspect of our ceremony. We even had two of our favorite songs custom arranged (for very cheap). It was absolute MAGIC to walk down the aisle to a song that meant so much to me. Jill was extremely responsive, and their rates are great for this industry (and absolutely worth it). Can't recommend them enough!

Musical discovery was the best route to take. I wanted music, specifically a guitar and they did everything we requested and were very affordable!! They're friendly, professional, and he even learned a song we had to have at the wedding. I am so happy we met them, and used them for our wedding. The music was beautiful!!

The music was absolutely perfect for my daughter's dream wedding! We had "not so traditional" selections; "Tiny Dancer" by Elton John, "Listen O the Wind" by Cat Stevens, and "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" by Stevie Wonder. The musicians were very accommodating and Jill was a dream to work with! They played for our ceremony and our cocktail hour and we couldn't be happier with the professionalism and pure joy they exhibited! Loved them!!

For our wedding, my (now) husband and I had kind of a unique vision. We wanted a video game themed wedding, Final Fantasy to be specific, down to the music that played as we walked down the aisle. Now, we talked to multiple musicians, and got a fat handful of "no's", as our selections could not be found in an easily accessible collection of classical music. But that didn't scare Musical Discovery. I actually learned about them because Jill reached out to me after I attended a bridal expo in Austin. At this point I had lost all hope of getting what we dreamed of, but then Jill swooped in and made our dreams come true. Not only was she willing to take on our unique request, she reassured us that she had experience doing video game themed weddings in the past, and had an expert arranger on staff who would put our pieces together if we couldn't find sheet music. WHAT A RELIEF! She was extremely responsive, patient, and was even on the phone with me the day before our wedding helping me (a very stressed out bride) make last minute adjustments as needed. The violinist and pianist that played out our wedding worked SO hard to learn the pieces, and played them just perfectly as we all walked down the aisle. It made our event complete, complimented the theme perfectly, and--I can't say it enough--made our dreams a reality. Thank you!

Every wedding should have the beautiful music of the Musical Discovery Chamber Players. I have hired them twice now. Back in 2012 for my daughter's wedding, we had a 4 piece quartet, the harp and a soloist. The music was phenomenal as was their professionalism. They really make the whole process so easy and their response time to emails and communication is spot on. We loved them so much that they were the first vendors we hired for my son's wedding last weekend (7/22/2017). The second experience was just as wonderful as the first. I highly recommend the Musical Discovery Chamber Players. They really are a "must have" for weddings and any other event where string musicians are the music of choice.

Jill and the other members of Musical Discovery were absolutely amazing. They were able to perform our requested pieces (including two pieces we requested composed for string quartet). I want to highly recommend this company. My wedding was at Barr Mansion, i had about 150 guests and requested the string quartet. They arrived on time and played their music beautifully! They have a vast musical selection, so it was very easy for me to pick my songs. I chose a few contemporary for while guests arrived and classical scores for the ceremony, Many of my guests let me know that their music was phenomenal and set the mood for the wedding.
They were very professional and very nicely dressed. Thank you very much for being a part of my wedding. If you are looking for a string duo, trio, quartet please give them a call, they are very easy to work with and their talent is amazing.

Jill Dalley and her musicians are very talented! I first heard them play at a friend's wedding and instantly knew I wanted them to play at my wedding as well. I was thrilled to have them play at my wedding this past April 2015. Jill was very organized and easy to communicate with during the entire planning process. They offer a wide variety of music to choose from, and they are willing to accommodate special song requests as well for a small fee. Where do I start? This group is amazing-they are so very talented musically and they offer such a variety of music to choose from. We were thrilled to be able to mix contemporary music (Teen Spirit for the Groomsmen entry) with classics and classical. They were by far the EASIEST vendor we worked with, making payment and details a snap! What I'd like to impress is that they set the tone for the entire day. They played before and during the ceremony and then entertained the guests during cocktail hour. Their presence made our wedding MAGICAL. Jill Dalley is the best, and her musicians are just as amazing. I contacted Jill a year and a half in advance of my wedding and she gave me great info and kept in contact with me the whole time. They did a special arrangement so that my groom could walk down the aisle to Vance Joy's "Riptide" it was so amazing. All the guests commented on how beautiful the music was as they were arriving and during the ceremony. I highly suggest contacting Jill and having her at your wedding, it will make it all the more magical.

Musical Discovery Chamber Players provided the ceremony music for our wedding in April. Jill Dalley was exceptional in responding to me, providing a contract, receipts, etc. I never had to chase her for anything and she and her fellow musicians were very professional and courteous. In addition, she supplied a list of music along with some guidance on what could be used as a processional, recessional and for other aspects of the ceremony. It was drizzling the afternoon of the wedding, which was outside, but, the trio found a solution and moved under a covered area, while still being able to provide outdoor music. I was not even aware of this issue and was really appreciative that they not only showed up on time, but, managed the situation without adding any stress to our wedding day. While I did not have the pleasure of hearing the pre-ceremony music, our guests commented that it was really enjoyable and provided a great background ambiance to the venue. The trio played beautifully. They were perfectly coordinated with all the components of the ceremony. I had always wanted a string trio to play for our wedding and felt this was such a wonderful addition to our special day. I highly recommend this group and encourage couples to consider live music for the ceremony if at all possible.

We absolutely loved Musical Discovery Chamber Players. I got married in Wimberley in April 2015, and I loved this vendor--we coordinated with Jill Dalley, and she was phenomenal! Quick with her responses and helpful in guiding the music choice (gave us a list of everything they played, which helped immensely!). I found all of these traits to be very valuable when we were coordinating all of the moving pieces that go into a wedding. And obviously, the musicians were fabulously talented to top it off.

Our pre-ceremony music selection was not traditional (i.e. songs like Here Comes the Sun), and they were more than happy to accommodate--set the tone wonderfully for our outdoor wedding! A+, would definitely recommend.

They played some texas swing songs that meant a lot to my dad for the prelude music. They already had sheet music for a few and the additional songs I wanted were only $8 each for the sheet music. They did an excellent job at the ceremony and I had many compliments! Quality of the mic for the pastor was excellent as well! Highly recommend!

We were very happy that we chose Musical Discovery Chamber Players to provide the ceremony music for our daughter's wedding. I think it is always a nerve wracking experience to blindly choose a vendor for any service you are requiring, but Jill Dalley helped make this experience a lot easier for us. It was partially due to her quick response to my inquiry about her business that we chose Musical Discovery. Other musicians replied much later and I had to tell them that we had already made our selection. We also chose Musical Discovery because I heard and saw their musicians on You-Tube and was impressed with what I saw. Jill was very accessible and easy to speak with, making doing business with her a lot more enjoyable. She was very flexible and helped me make choices that were easier on the pocketbook. She was also willing to have a special request of a song that was not in their repertoire composed for my daughter and the price was reasonable. On the day of the wedding you are so busy but I do remember having the beautiful music playing and calming our nerves as we were getting ready for our walk down the aisle. Our trio played 30 minutes prior to the wedding ceremony, for the ceremony, and then entertained our guests during the cocktail hour. Not a note was missed, timing was perfect, and the beautiful music helped make our daughter's wedding the experience that we were hoping for. Thank you Jill and the Musical Discovery Chamber Players for bringing such joy to our family and all of our guests.

Jill was extremely helpful and easy to communicate with. She definitely understands how stressful it can be to plan a wedding, and was always available whenever I had any questions. I was given a list of songs to choose from, many of which were already my must haves. Jill and the Musical Discovery Chamber Players even agreed to play two songs that was not on their list!! It added such an elegant touch of romance to our ceremony. I would recommend and book them again in a heart beat. I only wish that I had slowed down to take in the moment walking down the aisle, so I could remember the sound of, "A thousand years", and not the sound of my own heart beat. We hired MDCP for our ceremony/cocktail hour music - it was perfect!! The string quartet played beautiful mix of contemporary and classical music. Jill was very helpful throughout the planning process. MDCP has a large selection of songs that they play- and they are even open to learning a new one if there is a song you have your heart set on! We were very happy with the selection and not did request anything new but it was nice to know that was an option. Everything went smoothly from the arrival, setup, timeline of music, etc. It's reassuring to know you won't have to worry about a single thing with this group- peace of mind on your wedding is priceless!! I knew that ceremony musicians were a must at my wedding and I'm so happy that I went with the best! Jill is super easy to work with and incredibly responsive! I used Musical Discovery for my wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. They were wonderful. We used a string quartet because of the size of the venue. We were a little hesitant and not sure if we needed all 4 but it was recommended and we are glad we did. They were right about needing a larger group for the area we had. The price is based on the number of players so can change depending on how many you need. Our guests loved the playing while they were waiting for the ceremony. They also offered a wide variety of music for both ceremony and cocktail hour and can even do special pieces if you give them enough advanced notice. For the plaining stage I dealt with Jill and she was on of my most favorite vendors to work with. She was polite, honest, prompt in replying to all my questions and just a joy to interact with. She provided a range of music that we could pick from for both ceremony and cocktail hour and gave great suggestions for both. Probably the guest favorite moment was the groom/groomsmen walking down the aisle to the Imperial March. We also wanted a little of an Italian feel for the cocktail hour because of the venue and they were able to incorporate those songs with others that were very pleasing to everyone. The musicians were also very professional, dressed appropriately and were prompt.

She was extremely enthusiastic from the get go and totally open to learning the new songs I requested for a reasonable fee. At one point we thought we'd have to extend the hours they'd play due to some changes of plan and they were very flexible in that being possible. There are so many things going on that day that you just don't want to have to worry about anything going wrong or happening on time. The quartet was fabulous! Professional, energetic, and quality. It was pretty wonderful to hear our song selections being played on string and made for a very memorable walk down the aisle! I absolutely recommend them!

We had chosen the string trio for our wedding and I don't think we could have made a better decision. We kept on going back and forth between a quartet and a trio because some of the songs that we were wanting were normally played by a quartet, but we were constantly trying to cut back where we could. But when I reached out to Jill to see if these songs could be done with a smaller group, she showed zero concern... and she was right. The songs they played were all very, very special to my family and the trio played them so beautifully that there was not a dry eye among every family member. I just wish I could have sat in the chapel and heard them play from beginning til end! Any bride who is having trouble selecting your ceremony musicians, look no further. Musical Discovery Chamber Players are worth every penny, and more!

Jill was so fantastic and easy to work with. She was VERY quick to respond to all of my emails and any questions that I had. Once you hand in your music, you don't have to worry about a single thing.. these professionals will take care of the rest and do such a great job! As I was in the bride's quarters at Camp Lucy waiting to enter the chapel, tears just came to my eyes as I heard the music play. So beautiful!

We are so happy that we found Jill and the Musical Discovery Chamber Players for our outdoor wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. The string duo was the perfect match for our Texas Hill Country Wedding. From the very beginning Jill was very easy to work with and always responded promptly to our emails and questions, which was very important, as we were planning our wedding from out of town. Jill took the time to meet with us prior to the wedding to discuss the flow and relaxed feel that we wanted for our ceremony and cocktail hour. From the beginning she had a list of songs and recommendations for music during guests arrival, procession, and recessional. It was also very helpful that she has posted YouTube videos of Musical Discovery Chamber Players playing many of the songs, so we could listen to each one and compare songs before selecting our music. On our wedding day Jill and her string duo partner arrived early to ensure proper set up, and played beautifully throughout the ceremony and cocktail hour. Their music provided a soft elegance to the beautiful Texas Hill Country views of our wedding venue and we couldn't be happier in our decision to book Musical Discovery Chamber Players.

I was insistent on a string quartet for our ceremony music. Walking down the aisle to Pachelbel's Canon in D has been something I've dreamed about since I was a little girl. Jill was such a pleasure to work with from start to finish as I was selecting our music for the ceremony. The sound was simply beautiful and the moment I heard the first chords start, I was absolute waterworks. Their wide range of options (we requested from Beauty and the Beast for pre-ceremony) from classical to contemporary was refreshing and gave me as more options than I could even comprehend. I would recommend them in a heartbeat to anyone looking for a wide range of musical and instrument arrangements.

I really liked that they provided extensive YouTube videos showing examples of duo, trio, and quartet versions of songs, as well as demonstrating their versatility in switching from classical to the Beatles to pop. They played our ceremony (classical) and our cocktail hour (Beatles, pop, modern). They were very reasonably priced, easy to work with, prompt communication, and played well. I would highly recommend.

We had a small ceremony and we wanted something other than recorded music for the room. Jill was so easy to work with! We had a duo, violin and cello for an hour and it was more than worth every penny. Jill helped us with music selections, and after the ceremony I had several guests comment on how warm and lovely it was to have the live music. They were a dream to work with for a bride who planned everything with veyr little help. They showed up when they said they would, were very low maintenance, and did exactly what they promised!

My daughter (the bride) and I became acquainted with Musical Discovery Chamber Players at a Bridal show at Palmer Auditorium (Austin). Their repertoire was extensive and their musicality was mesmerizing. I appreciated that they provided suggestions to guide us in choosing appropriate selections for the seating of the families, bridesmaids processional, bridal processional and recessional, etc. We received many compliments from guests after the wedding about how beautiful and moving the music was. I could not have been happier with this group of professional musicians.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Jill and Musical Discovery! We wanted a string quartet to play at our wedding ceremony in memory of my Nana, a beautiful violinist, and Jill made it more special than we could have hoped for. Jill was absolutely wonderful to work with - she answered all of our questions and even went out of her way to find a unique piece of music for my husband and me to exit to. The two musicians who came to our daughter's wedding provided the perfect background music prior to the wedding as well the chosen selections during the processional and recessional. It was very easy to make the plans and select the music through the internet.

I can't say enough nice things about this ensemble. We gave them a crazy, totally nontraditional set list and added a silly little video game win battle sound. They came out in horrible rain (covered but outdoor venue) and played our crazy movie and video game theme set list, and it was wonderful. I love love loved listening to them play!

Jill is simply amazing and easy to work with. I emailed her about ceremony music 3 months in advance and then completely forgot to book the ceremony music. I emailed her 7 days before the wedding and Jill wrote up a contract had me sign and I sent the check by mail hoping that it would arrive in time for the wedding. I had a duo and all of our guests enjoyed the ceremony music. I just wish I could have heard more of it the way my guests did.
