Music Therapy DJ- Perfect DJ for couples who don't want to play games!

I would definitely recommend Music Therapy DJ and Photo Booth to anyone who needs a DJ for their upcoming wedding! When we first started looking for DJs for our wedding, we were overwhelmed with the process- we didn't want to waste time looking through a ton of websites and interviewing potential DJs. We heard about Music Therapy through a family friend, and met with Scott back in December, and he instantly made us feel more at ease with the entertainment. He personally has been the DJ for hundreds of weddings (so he really knows what he is doing), and asked us to fill out a packet of information with all of the songs we wanted to be played. We got the uplights too (which definitely added to the great atmosphere at our reception). Prior to the wedding, we met with Scott at the venue, and discussed the packet we filled out. We had a few songs/genres in mind, but Scott really inquired about playing specific artists/genres to include in his playlist (which was a huge help). He also helped us structure the entrances, cake cutting, and special dances towards the beginning of the evening, so we could have more time to party. On the day of the ceremony, Scott was the first person at our venue, and set everything up perfectly. And once we got there, he met with us right away to go over the game plan. Scott did an amazing job keeping us on track and playing all of the songs we requested. I would 100% recommend Scott and Music Therapy to anyone who is looking for a DJ. If you don't want to waste time playing games, Scott is the guy for you!

Had an amazing time!!

Scott met all of my expectations, and having not gone through this before, he walked me through everything step by step, and I really felt like I could relax when the time came. He checked in with me before the wedding, as well as throughout our wedding day, and it really put me at ease. One piece of advice I would give, is to really account for your day of schedule. I think due to the way we set things up, it felt rushed, but only because we didn’t leave enough time for certain things. However, Scott really walked us through it, let us know what we could do, gave advice, and ultimately left every decision up to us. He really read the crowd so well and all of my friends and family raves about how great the DJ was! We were very thankful we found him when we did, considering we were late to the game. He was very accommodating and we couldn’t have asked for a better time!

Music therapy- Scott is awesome!! Prior to the wedding he sent us a guild so we couold pick songs and set up how we wanted the reception to run. After turning that it, we facetimed so he could truly get an idea of us and what our vision is. HE NAILED IT. He is so versed in how weddings flow, music that gets people dancing, and how to feel out a crowd. Music therapy also has the option of a Photo Booth add on- DO IT. The booth is sleek and professional- it looked in place at the venue. The Photo Booth was NEVER empty. The guests loved it and the photos we got from it reflect how freaking fun it was.

Such a fun night!!

Thank you Scott for a wonderful and fun wedding night. Our dance floor was full all night and he really does a great job reading the crowd and knowing what to play to make sure everyone had a great time. We had such a fun night!!!

DJ and photobooth were incredible!

We booked for the DJ and Photobooth package and we’re not disappointed. Scott was amazing to work with. Very professional and responded to emails in a timely manner. He handled all my last minute requests and changes with a smile. The photobooth attendant was funny and kept it organized and cleaned in between guests. I loved the book of photo strips we got at the end of the night. Overall, I was blown away by them and would recommend them to everyone!

Music Therapy was awesome!!!

Music Therapy was awesome! We never had issues communicating with Scott and though I was worried about the acoustics at your venue (Mapleside Farms Barn) HE KILLED IT! He made the whole process easy and straightforward and when picking music he knew when we said song “A” that we also would love B, C and D; he was spot on every time! Our guests danced the night away and multiple people complimented the DJ and music selection. Such a wonderful night and really thanks to Scott for keeping the party alive!

Picture Perfect Photo Booth

Music Therapy provided the photo booth for our wedding. Our guests had such a great time taking tons of shots. We love the take home book. What a perfect keepsake.

Perfect DJ and MC

DJ Scott was amazing. We had 2 meetings before our wedding... one to simply meet him and discuss what we were looking for in a DJ, and a second one closer to the day to go over music and timing.

Everything went flawlessly for the ceremony. As an MC, he truly made our reception run flawlessly and helped us to relax as he queued people giving speeches and when dances were happening. As a DJ for our dance floor, we couldn't have asked for a better one! DJ Scott played a great mix of what we asked for, and what he thought we might like based off of that. We had 80s throwbacks, 80s throwbacks, current pop, all different genres, and our dance floor was bumping with guests all night long. No one wanted to stop dancing!

DJ Scott really took care of us and we would recommend him to anyone looking for a very high quality service with an extremely reasonable price tag.

Great Job!

Nick and Amanda did an awesome job DJing and running the photobooth at our wedding. I love looking through our scrapbook of all the photo strips! Nick did an awesome job with song selection and had people on the dance floor the whole night! They are such nice people to work with!

Kept the dance floor packed all night long!

Scott was beyond awesome as the DJ for our wedding ceremony and reception. Not only was he extremely helpful and accommodating during the planning (we live out of state and he was very flexible with meetings), but he kept the dance floor packed all night long! We are so glad we went with Music Therapy and we highly recommend them!!!

We all had the best time with DJ Scott at the wedding! He was very professional, thorough, listened to our needs/wants, personalized the ceremony and reception to how we wanted it. Scott is the most professional DJ and entertainer I have ever worked with, and I have worked with many. He is quick to respond, shows up on time, has great equipment and did a great job keeping my event going. I would highly recommend Scott for any wedding, party or business event. Love him!

Working with Music Therapy was the best experience! They were extremely attentive to detail. In addition, they understand weddings so well that they were able to make several recommendations that greatly improved the event. We were very happy with our choice in going with Music Therapy. Our DJ, Ted, was phenomenal. Our guests were dancing all night because the song selections were that good. Scott and Ted were very pleasant to work with and very accommodating. I highly recommend going with Music Therapy - especially Ted. Even after all these months our guests are still raving about our wedding, especially our DJ.

They did such a great job making sure they covered all the music we wanted for the reception! The sound quality was great and the up lighting looked amazing! Everyone had an amazing time and enjoyed themselves on the dance floor! He did a great job keeping everyone entertained for the night.

We met with Scott (the owner) a year prior to our wedding while interviewing multiple DJ's. Scott was friendly and professional, we immediately felt comfortable with him. He provided a worksheet and links to help us select music for the critical points of our wedding, and edited the music for our first dance. He understood our styles and music preferences, kept the dance floor full and truly helped make our day memorable.

Meeting with the President of the company Scott was an absolute pleasure and he was so professional. He was quick to respond to any questions I had via email or phone call. The DJ I had for my wedding was DJ HOT CARL. He was very fun and knew how to get the night started. He was by far one of the best DJs I have heard at a wedding. Everyone loved him and couldnt stop talking about him. My groom actually wanted him to come back home with us and keep the party going haha!! Over all the experience with this company was awesome and Im so happy that we choose them for our big day!!

Music Therapy worked around all of my crazy requests, the fact that I live out of town, and my not so organized song list. I was so unsure about which songs people may want to hear and what would get everyone on the dance floor. Scott and Karl knew exactly what to play and they created a playlist that perfectly communed my music style and what others would enjoy hearing! All while keeping the motto of Bride first!!

I'd like to give express my satisfaction to Scott Doland of Music Therapy Inc (Wedding DJ & Lighting) . Scott was the emcee and deejay for our wedding. I've known Scott since my early days in Cleveland. He's always been respected in his field. I worked as a deejay through school (doing mostly weddings), so I was extremely selective when it came to choosing a deejay for my own wedding. It was a no-brainer to choose Scott at Music Therapy...he is professional from start to finish. He also provided all of the lighting at the reception and the effects were perfect. He also worked very closely with us in planning out everything so that no detail would be overlooked and that everything that he provided would be suited to our tastes. I highly recommend Scott to anyone looking for a first-class deejay.

Scott was an amazing DJ! We are so glad we booked with Music Therapy for our wedding. I met Scott at the Today's Bride bridal show at the IX Center and immediately liked the way he handled himself. He was very nice, professional, and not pushy like most of the other DJs at that event. I contacted him shortly after we met with him several times to plan our wedding services. Even though we live a good 45 minutes away from his business location, Scott met us half way at a coffee shop and made things super easy for us during such a busy time in our lives. Scott really listened to our musical input and played exactly what we asked. All of our guests complimented us on our choice of DJ saying he was present and engaging without being annoying or obnoxious. We used Scott for our ceremony, reception, and even took advantage of his uplighting services. His fees are very reasonable for everything we received. We would definitely recommend Scott to anyone looking for a great DJ!!!

We selected Scott Doland from Music Therapy, Inc. to be the DJ for our son's wedding this past weekend. We met with Scott on two separate occasions prior to the wedding, and we communicated through email as well. We immediately felt at ease with Scott. His personality, knowledge of all genres of music, and his eagerness to make our son's wedding day special convinced us to hire him on the spot. We made the right choice. Our event had a few extra special twists involved, and Scott helped us pull them off without any issue. He was attentive to the mood of the guests and played appropriate music to keep the dance floor hopping. In addition, Scott provided personalized lighting with the bride and groom's names lit up. Scott from Music Therapy was very easy to work with as we planned our wedding. The form he gave us really helped us organize and communicate our wants (types of music, bridal dances, "do not play" list, etc.). Our event DJ was Shad, and he did a wonderful job! Scott was very professional at all of our meetings before the wedding and every request we had during the wedding he was able to come through on promptly. Scott was AWESOME! Not only was he professional and follow through with every single little detail we discussed, he went above and beyond the entire night.We had a very unique venue and he made all three locations for ceremony, dinner, and dancing work amazingly well, and the sound was perfect.

We ended up with mud from some rain earlier in the day (outdoor wedding) and he rolled with the punches, moved equipment, did anything he had to, and everything went off without a hitch.

I gave Scott some music choices and let him pick the rest and it was like I hand-picked every song. Dancing was an absolute blast and everyone was asking where I found my DJ all night long.

Another thing Scott was great with was responding to my emails (no matter how small a detail) immediately... which was crucial when it came down to crunch time. It made everything so easy and I wasn't waiting on him for days/weeks to respond like some other vendors. Every song for our ceremony, all the timing, everything was PERFECT and we never rehearsed. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Music Therapy. I would recommend them to anyone for any event.

We had DJ Scott with music therapy for our October wedding and could not think of enough words to describe how happy we were with his services! We have received many compliments from our guest about what A great job Scott did and how much fun they had dancing all night at our wedding. Music Therapy, Inc. did a great job! We had people on the dance floor all night, and he followed what we wanted very well. We had a pretty long list of "do not plays" (mainly because of me), and he really made sure that absolutely nothing on that list was played, which was great! He kept it fun and played a good variety, which is what we were going for. Also, Music Therapy, Inc. was easy to get in touch with and very responsive to all of our needs. Scott was so helpful and attentive to what we wanted for our wedding day. He was supportive and had great ideas while we were planning, and he was flexible with where and when to meet. We used Scott as our wedding DJ/MC and also used the photobooth service from Music Therapy and everything was so great! We had a strict "no cheesy DJ" policy and Scott was anything but! He was so professional, kept the evening moving at a great pace, and when it came time to dance he made sure there was the perfect mix of music that had our dance floor packed all night long! Even people I did not think would dance were out there on the dance floor! He is the ultimate professional and is so quick to respond!

The photobooth service was also a huge hit! The operator was friendly and funny and kept everything moving so lots of people were able to get their photos taken. I especially like how they give multiple copies of the photos and then also arrange them all in a scrapbook–we had people write little notes and just used that as our guestbook!

We are so happy we chose Music Therapy and would highly recommend them to anyone. They are professional, a great value and all around very talented at what they do.

When we booked with Scott he was very easy to work with. He was very friendly and helpful without being over bearing to push his product. With money being tight, he worked with us to give us the biggest bang for our buck without breaking the bank. He give us a short survey of what we wanted and didn't want. We filled it out, giving him a feel for what we liked and he filled in the rest. The music he played, even his choice, was exactly what we wanted. His equipment is like him, very professional but not overboard. We had concerns about the lighting due the medical reasons and Scott worked perfectly with that. Scott ran the show from the DJ's aspect but didn't try to run everything, as it should be. Because we had an outside wedding, and not in the church, we also used Scott for our wedding ceremony. Nobody even knew he was there, except for the music which filled in perfectly. I would highly recommend DJ Scott and Music Therapy to everyone getting married or simply needing a DJ. Thanks Scott for a memorable evening.

You have enough details to worry about when you are planning your wedding. If you book Scott and Music Therapy, entertainment will be one thing you will be able to cross off your list. We experienced a few venue changes during our planning, and Scott was more than flexible every step of the way. He met with us on several occasions to get an idea of the type of atmosphere we wanted and the kinds of music we wanted to hear, and to get an idea of who we were so he could tailor his services to our personalities. Numerous people approached me during our reception to compliment our choice of DJ and ask where we found him and how they could contact him. Also, make sure to take advantage of the various lighting options Music Therapy offers. Though lighting is one of the last things I thought anyone would notice, numerous people came up to me to tell me how cool they thought ours was, saying they had never seen anything quite like it.

I cannot stress this enough - Music Therapy is the way to go.

Scott walked that fine line of moving our reception along without controlling it; I've been to plenty of weddings where the DJ was either annoying or inept, Scott was on the other end of the spectrum: he was masterful. He also walked the fine line of playing what we wanted to hear and playing what works.

My wife and I freely admit that if he had played nothing but our suggestions no one would have danced and the event would have fallen flat on it’s face; Scott mixed our choices with an array of standards and today’s popular songs to create an evening that was high energy and fun.

There are a lot of ways to cut down on costs for a wedding, and in my book Scott was the best value for the money. Think about it, the DJ is in charge of all the events you will have at the reception and you don’t want to leave this awesome responsibility to an amateur. Once the reception started, my wife and I could finally relax and have fun, knowing we had a DJ at the helm that has been there countless times before. I can confidently recommend him as a five star DJ.

DJ Scott was great! We met with him several times before the wedding to make sure we were all on the same page in terms of music selections. My husband and I took the time to write a must play song list, and DJ Scott played all the songs we wanted to hear and when! Scott Doland (the owner) was wonderful. He's a flexible guy who also comes with a game plan. He'll walk you through the day, using his checklist, to make sure all songs and introductions are covered. He takes the time to get a feel for what you like and don't like. He's not a DJ who makes the wedding about "his show" - he understands it's your day and he'll do whatever he can to make it special for you. I highly recommend Scott's services.

I used Music Therapy DJ service for a Middle School Dance. Scott, the DJ, was very professional and patient with the kids. He was very creative with getting the kids on the dance floor.

Didn't play songs on the must play list. Didn't invite other fathers and daughters onto the dance floor during the father daughter song. didn't play the entire first dance song. Music was too loud!! Couldn't hear people talking or when he was announcing activities, like the first dance or the cake cutting, ect...
