  Easiest Wedding EVER

  Dara and Doug were so helpful especially during the pandemic. They helped us make decisions that I would never would have thought of. So much fun to work with and they knew exactly what they were doing. They helped me and my husband put in little surprises for our guests and kept everything moving. It was the most fun I have ever had and I would choose them again in a heart beat.

  Highly Recommended!

  Doug and Dara were fantastic! They perfectly tailored our music selections to our tastes and kept everything on schedule. They were very well organized and just lots of fun! Our guests were highly complimentary and everyone had a great time!

  Best DJ’s ever!!

  Doug and Dara are THE dream team! I literally cannot explain how amazing they were to my now husband and I! They treated us like family, listened to us, incorporated everything we wanted, helped coordinate our entire day!! The music was amazing, and they make an incredible team! Our wedding would not have been the same without the two of them! If you need an amazing DJ that will go above and beyond and make sure everything is ready to go and sounds great...Doug and Dara are the way to go! Music on the Move is incredible and I couldn't have asked for more!

  We loved working with them!

  Doug and Dara are awesome!!! We had a wonderful time working with them. We got married at the Grand Island Mansion and Music on the Move is one of their preferred DJs. Not only did we get awesome DJ services, they ran our rehearsal when our officiant had a prior engagement and helped with a lot of coordination! They even gave us a practice session on cutting our cake! They make sure every detail is the way you want it to be and provide so much energy and fun during the reception! They make sure your guests are engaged through the whole day! We also purchased a package that included a photo booth and that was a huge hit at the wedding! So many people told me they loved it! And I loved that Music on the Move provided us with magnetic cases for the photos to go in so our guests could have a wedding favor they could display! Doug and Dara were part of what made our day so amazing; we can't thank them enough!

  The best around town!

  One word, Amazing!

  These guys are amazing. They work hard to make sure your wedding is as perfect as it can be. They are a full service dj group. They are there from beginning to end. They are polite, friendly and professional. They are also fun and entertaining. They also have uplighting to make your wedding more memorable. I just went to a wedding and the difference were night and day. You will not regret hiring these two.

  The only DJ you need!

  Dara and Doug are the only DJ service you should hire!!! From the day we meet Dara and Doug we know it was a match made in heaven. Our first meeting with them was so amazing! Dara and Doug really grilled us on our vision of what we wanted for our wedding and I couldn’t be happier that they did that, it will got us thinking on how to make our wedding beyond amazing. The ideas that they came up with on how to make it that much more where so awesome and fun! Every step of the way in wedding planning Dara and Doug went above and beyond! I has many questions as to how what and why and they answered each one that made the process so exciting. Dara made my wedding day run so smoothly and we could not have done it without her! Was so full of tip and everything to make sure the day was stress free and went out without a hitch! Doug and his professional MC were amazing at the reception! The music that was played was a combination of a playlist we made up and they picks and it flowed so well! The dance floor was a grooving! We can’t Dara and Doug enough for their services!

  The Greatest Show!

  tl;dr
  Doug and Dara were sooooooo much fun to work with! Together they helped make our wedding day an unforgettable moment. They are a magical duo to be reckoned with. Doug is a dreamer, he'll inspire you to aim for the stars; Dara is a realist, she'll help get your feet off the ground. Together they will help make your magical moment come to life, from planning to rehearsal, all the way til the music ends. We are so happy we chose Music on the Move for DJ, MC, and lights. (Our wedding was in May 2019)
  
  Long Version:
  Doug and Dara were the best to work with! Not only did they help bring some of our crazy ideas to fruition, they also offered some unique ideas to make the night memorable as well. My only regret is that I didn't take advantage of all the special things they offered.
  
  They were great with coordinating our wedding and worked seamlessly with our venue and other vendors. It was raining on the day of our wedding, so Doug and Dara scrambled to move us back and forth between our original outside venue and an inside option. Ultimately, we were able to make the outdoor ceremony work. Thank goodness we had them to coordinate with everybody. She really kept me and my husband from feeling the stress .
  
  The ceremony sound was perfect! Doug provided all the microphones for my now husband, our officiant, and wedding singer; they worked flawlessly throughout. And as a result, our wedding videographer was able to capture our wedding vows clearly and with no drop offs.
  
  Inside the ballroom for the reception, the lights they provided were fantastic! They illuminated the room and really captured the mood of the night. Soft calming colors were used during dinner and speeches, but when it was dance time, the club lights came out. Everyone had a great time!
  
  We are so happy we chose Music on the Move for DJ, MC, and lights. They made wedding planning that much easier and were so much fun to work with!

  Couldn’t have asked for more❤️

  Having the right DJ can make or break a wedding.  For that reason my fiancé and I wanted to be sure we chose wisely.  Music on the Move was referred to us by family friends.  We agreed to meet with them to discuss the possibility of hiring them for our wedding.  We thought we were just hiring a DJ, but shortly into our first meeting with Doug and Dara we realized that they were going to help orchestrate the whole ceremony!  They DJ the wedding, they MC the wedding, they provide lighting, they organize the rehearsal, the cake cutting, the bouquet toss, and on and on.  They basically provide a turnkey ceremony and that took an enormous burden off our shoulders!  Doug is the DJ and MC.  He possesses an extensive knowledge of music, editing skills, and great instincts when it comes to reading a crowd and selecting the appropriate song for the moment.  Dara is the coordinator.  She has strong organizational skills, great attention to detail, and is wonderful with people.  Together, the two of them worked symbiotically to make sure our wedding ran smoothly, and our guests had a great time.  It was such a blessing to have them by our side.  They demonstrated great professionalism and competence that can only come from individuals who are passionate about what they do and have years of experience doing it.  By the end of our wedding, they became family to us.  We love them!  Our guests loved them!  We received numerous comments, from guests of all ages, about the music played at our wedding.  Our guests loved the bride and groom “gameshow” that Doug and Dara recommended we incorporate into our wedding.  I really can’t say enough good things about the both of them.  They really delivered for us and made sure everything went smoothly.  Because of that we were able to enjoy our special day and we have many special memories to enjoy for the rest of our lives.  Thank you so much!!

  Truly the best DJ's

  Doug and Dara told us they would make a memorable day for my husband and I and they overdelivered. Doug kept everyone entertained and Dara made sure things went smoothly! They are the best and my guests are still talking about the funniest wedding they have ever been to! We got married in September. In fact a family member decided to get married and they just booked them for their wedding.

They were responsive, creative, and - yes, when necessary - diplomatically assertive in order to keep everything moving smoothly.   Doug and Dara are fabulous!!! They were available to us 24/7 and had excellent service. They were so wonderful to my husband and I. If I need another event with a DJ, they are my first and only stop for services. I cannot say enough great things about them. They were amazing!! :-)

  We used Music on the Move for our wedding in September and Doug and Dara were an amazing team! Our wedding went seamlessly thanks to them coordinating with the other vendors and keeping everything on track. They are both really helpful and had such fun ideas to make our wedding and reception memorable. Without Doug and Dara our wedding would have just not been the same! All of guests have commented on how smoothly everything went and they loved the music and fun games that were incorporated with the reception! When you meet them they will tell you they are different than other DJ’s and they really are! They offer so much more than just a DJ service! I would definitely recommend them my sisters are both planning on using them for their weddings! They are worth every penny!

  I can't describe in words how incredibly happy we were with Music on the Move. Doug and Dara make an awesome team and I really feel that our wedding and reception would not have been as memorable without them. Not only were they professional and organized (the entire evening was seamless), but they added personal touches to our wedding night that gave us memories we will have for a lifetime.

  I thought Doug and Dara did a great job, but he did pronounce my husband's name wrong. Twice. I thought it was funny, but "danielle" didn't quite have the same sense of humor. None-the-less they were fabulous and all of the guests loved them!

  I recently had Dara work as the coordinator and Doug work as the DJ for my June 4th wedding. I can't say enough amazing things about Dara. From the minute I met her, I could tell she was very organized. On the day of the wedding, she made sure that I had no worries and was constantly checking-in with me to see how I was doing. She kept everyone on schedule and the wedding went smoothly in a large part to her. I also liked working with Doug, but there were a few things that I wish could have gone differently. For example, when he called me up for my daddy daughter song he referred to me as the artist rather than my name. One of my guests had to say something. Also, when he was calling up people for toasts he forgot my sister. I think this wasn't a super big deal as we added her last minute, but I think she was upset. Finally, I felt like our guests (who were much older) weren't really feeling his energy for some reason. Even with this being said, I would still highly recommend Dara and Doug for your wedding. They are a great team and will make your day special.

  Awesome duo of DJ's!
  Doug & Dara did an awesome job @ my wedding at the Grand Island Mansion on Sept 15th, 2013. They kept everything flowing nicely. With Doug as the Dj & Dara doing some coordinating & direction it's a great set up! Couple of cons during speeches I asked them to open it up after my family to guests to speak and Doug closed it off, my mom had to open it up & we got a lot of nice, heartfelt speech from my friend/ family & especially 87yr old grandfather. Nt sure why he did that was bit annoying after I had asked them several times I wanted to do that! Also, my sister Debbie matron of honor was supposed to do the 1st speech not Noah Adam best man( who had practically done nothing for the wedding except for show up) my sister did so many amazing things should had gone 1st which I had also told them about before hand, not sure what happened!   My Vows Were Ruined

  I wish I could leave 2 reviews, one for Dara and one for Doug. Dara was amazing at planning and coordinating our rehearsal and day of. She was always available to answer my questions and guide me. Both Doug and Dara were at our rehearsal, setting up, scouting the venue and guiding our process. The day of our wedding, during my (the bride's) vows, there was loud and continuous audio feedback. It did not happen during the groom's or the officiant's parts, and they were mic'd, while I was not. It happened during all of my speaking parts, and through the duration. Luckily we were outside as I believe it would have been worse if we were indoors, but our guests visibly jumped as did my husband. When we asked later, people were mostly nice but made it clear that it was startling and loud and I wasn't able to be heard. During my wedding vows. Luckily our ceremony was unplugged and our amazing videographer was wise and pre-recorded us reading our vows. It was very upsetting to have such an important part of our ceremony ruined, when we were paying a premium for their "quality equipment".
  During our reception, Doug played the wrong song for our Father-Daughter dance. Luckily, Dara jumped in near the beginning and put the correct song on. We chose to play games such as the "Newlywed Game" on the dance floor, and Doug had several awkward pauses, repeated a question, and seemed to generally be distracted.
  Neither Doug nor Dara commented on the horrible feedback, and I did not want to confront them on my wedding day. I wish they had at least acknowledged the blunder that interrupted my wedding ceremony. Overall they were overpriced and I wish we had gone with someone else for our big day.

  Be Wary of Doug

  We had a mixed to negative experience with them. Dara was pretty great. She was pretty responsive and communicative throughout the entire wedding process. We’re so grateful she was also on top of everything in terms of “day of” coordination. However, in terms of music on the day of the wedding, it all collapsed. That was all Doug. The music was way off. What we had issues with was that Doug almost completely disregarded our agreed upon playlists. Before we signed the contract in hiring them we made sure they were ok with us creating playlists and planning every single song throughout. On the day of the wedding, he abandoned all that. I was livid. The dinner playlist was completely abandoned. I think he played one song from it — but outside just before the reception for some reason. The pre-ceremony playlist and the cocktail playlists were chopped up with songs missing or replaced and then a select few played on loop. And the reception music. A complete mess. Every - single - song - was directly laid out for him and he still disregarded it. Wrong versions or remixes were played. Songs that had no business being played were played. We spent hours creating the playlists because we had a specific vision in mind and had taken into account our various guests’ tastes and our own personal tastes and he pretty much ruined it. There’s no excuse from him for that. At bare minimum he got the first dance songs right and the last two as well. Yes, we made the best of it and still had fun but it’s still highly unprofessional for him to have done that. That’s NOT what we agreed to and paid for. I would caution anyone against trusting Doug.
