My wife and I were so happy we hired John to DJ our wedding. Even though we hired him just five weeks before the wedding, John sprung into action and helped us plan a great night. He was responsive and sent us a questionnaire about our preferences that helped us pick music that was a hit (it was really easy for us to send him even some more off-beat favorites to play as part of the ceremony). He had a timeline for the night that effectively translated to us getting some bonus wedding planning help, which was unexpected but great.
The day-of went very smoothly -- John was prompt, got everything set up, and helped the whole night flow smoothly. We aren't big dancers, but our guests who were had a great time.
I should add the pricing for all this was incredibly reasonable, too! John's quote even came in lower than a couple other potential bids we got who had been more difficult to work with. In short, I definitely recommend John and Music NOW! Entertainment!

We were SO thrilled we picked John as our DJ for our wedding. He was absolutely fantastic! From day one, John was incredibly kind and helpful. He was always so willing to chat and answer any questions we had. He helped us with our timeline and selecting the perfect songs for our wedding. On our wedding day, John was amazing! He was super accommodating and flexible, and you could tell that he genuinely cared about making our day a success. He did a fantastic job as both our MC and DJ. His music selections were a HIT! He had a great flow of songs that appealed to all ages! Our guests were up and dancing all night! We loved that John also included dance floor lighting in with his basic package - definitely an added bonus! I highly recommend John and MusicNOW! =) Thanks for making our wedding such a memorable night! -

As a fellow wedding vendor, we were very selective in picking our vendor team. John - you did not disappoint!
John is by far the best DJ ever!! From his prompt response to my initial inquiry to the day of the wedding, he was responsive, helpful, and excited to be a part of our day. He was so thorough and really listened to everything that we wanted out of our music. Music is something that is super important to my (now) husband and I so the fact that John totally nailed it was just icing on the cake! From start to finish the music on our special day was perfect - so much so we had guests reaching out afterwards to see if he could send them his playlist! He was also a fantastic MC. Thank you John - So wonderful to have worked with you! We highly, highly recommend! -

John was great -- he was one of our favorite vendors to work with, and we worked with quite a few! He was always responsive to our requests/emails, and seemed to understand the stress we were under with all our obligations and handled our needs and interactions in a way that communicated so. Plus the value for his services was easily the best of anyone we looked at in the area. We would both highly recommend hiring him as your DJ. -

John was an amazing DJ for our wedding. He was always very professional and easy to work with. We had an introductory call and then exchanged several emails throughout the early planning stages. Then we met in person just a few weeks before the wedding to hammer out the details. John was the only DJ that I looked at that insisted on meeting in person, and I think that was a great idea! He had great suggestions for some songs that I wasn't sure what I wanted, and they worked out great. He also listened to the type of music that we enjoy and played that music. Some DJ's will play what they like because they think they know better than you. But John played great music and kept it to the type of music that we wanted to listen to. Everyone at our wedding had an amazing time. The dance floor was crowded the entire night! We loved John and would recommend him again to anyone! -

I'm pretty sure within two minutes of meeting John, my husband and I both knew we were going to choose him to DJ on our big day. From the planning to the day of, there was no stress involved as we trusted John to take the wheel! John was fantastic to work with! We booked him about a year before our wedding, and from the get-go, he set himself apart from the other DJs we were considering / interviewed. He understood our vision and what we were looking for out of a DJ instantly (get the room dancing, make all necessary announcements, etc. but don't be too corny!), and delivered on just that, day-of. He was personable, responsive, and helpful throughout the process - always quick to respond to e-mail and accommodate whatever requests we had (including playing customized music and providing A/V for our ceremony). We confronted every bride's greatest fear day-of, rain! This meant moving our outdoor wedding indoors, and changing the location of our cocktail hour, both of which we had already booked musicians for. John helped us adjust accordingly (without bothering the bride once while I was getting ready!), provided A/V for our pre-ceremony needs, and kept it going all night long at our reception! I think 85 - 90% of our guests were on the dance floor the WHOLE NIGHT. I can't thank John enough for helping to make our day so special - I highly recommend anyone who can snatches him up now for their own wedding! -

John is amazing!
He came totally prepared and ready to rock! Even though we had our own tent lighting in place, we actually only used John's projection lights and it added a really cool vibe to the whole thing. John was 100% involved in the planning and execution of gathering people, coordinating people to/from the dance floor and taking care of pretty much anything we needed. DEFINITELY use John at your next event. He really is the best DJ I've worked with. -

John was not only an amazing DJ, he was a wonderful MC for my wedding. He was able to help the wedding glide between transmissions and I commend him on being able to work with a band in between sets. Honestly I would recommend him to anyone I know because he was able to download the songs I needed (bollywood music) in under 48 hours, and without any hesitation. I don't know many Djs that would be so efficient and easy to get along with such as John. He was so quick to answer emails, and address any concerns, the channels of communication was wide open and I am just floored by his attentiveness! I really appreciate his vital role he played in making my wedding a wonderful event. -

I found this DJ online and he was fantastic.
John was a very professional and responsible DJ to work with. I was impressed with the speed in which he responded to my
questions in the planning stage of the event. He gave me many suggestions and options to work with for the party. He arrived on time and set up and take down was seamless. The lighting was perfect. He was tuned into the crowd and took the music in the direction to gather all on the dance floor. We danced all night long. -

Where do I start? First, John called me back minutes after leaving him a message about our upcoming event. He was professional, understanding (as I was in a panic less than a week before our race) and friendly. I shared with him that we had an emcee for our race but the equipment we were depending on was no longer functioning. Not only was I calling with such short notice, the event date was scheduled for 7am the day after Halloween. This was a tall order! In addition, the event was for charity so we were lacking a budget for music and equipment. John graciously offered to come set-up his equipment and play music for us while allowing our emcee to use his wireless microphone. John arrived at 6am Nov 1st with a smile and a helping hand. As if coming out to do the music was not enough, he jumped right in helping us with set-up before race time! He truly went above and beyond! The music he played before and during the race kept the crowd moving and energized. A great big thank you to John and Music Now Entertainment! Top notch service! When I met with John to go over song selections and timeline, he really listened to the wants for our wedding day. There were a lot of places where we weren't sure of certain things or hadn't even thought of and he was more than willing to guide us and provide suggestions where we struggled. We had a lot of changes during the week of our wedding and he was super flexible and always got back to us very quickly. The day of the wedding went very smoothly, and he would check in on us to make sure we were aware of what to expect next. As you know there are always hiccups throughout the night, and he handled it amazingly well. John was amazing and I would absolutely recommend to anyone! -

The music was great! I'm Russian, so we incorporated some Russian songs, as well as requested last minute Russian songs from the DJ. He did a great job! The up lighting of the venue was provided by the DJ and it was beautiful. The sign with the bride and groom's name looked very nice! Would highly recommend! -

This was the 2nd time we had hired John (the first being for our wedding), and yet again he was AMAZING. Just like at our wedding, he was enthusiastic and excited and seemed to really enjoy what he was doing. Also, he was my hero for the event as we had to move it from Saturday to Sunday due to the awful amount of snow we received. John was completely sympathetic to the situation, very flexible, and was just awesome! My husband's surprise party went off without a hitch! :) -

John was just simply amazing and perfect on our wedding night!!! He showed up on time, he was extremely polite and very professional. He kept the party going all night and kept everyone entertained! Not to mention our ceremony started a little behind schedule and John was more than willing to accommodate and made everything just perfect. So many people at our wedding said it was the best wedding they have been to and raved about John. John also took personal request songs and played them immediately. John did our ceremony, cocktail, and reception music as well as reception lighting. He really helped make our wedding day as unbelievable as it was. He traveled to our home twice (an hour way for him) for consultations and to make sure he knew us as a couple to make the day be ours; not a cookie cutter wedding. Everything he did was right on spot with great music, keeping our guests entertained, and making the entire wedding experience beautiful for us. By the end of the night, he wasn't hired help but a friend at our wedding. He made us feel so comfortable and our guests had a blast. He really knows how to read his bride and groom and their crowd. Thanks for being so incredible John! -

He proved helpful in helping us choose appropriate and fun music selections for the different parts of our reception. John, hands down, made our wedding day what it was; perfect and a whole lot of fun!
I couldn't have asked for a better DJ. Weeks later and the guests are still talking about how "awesome" the DJ was. Everyone was on the dance floor having a blast...all night long.
His professionalism, responsiveness and overall care of our day was 100%. From start to finish he was on point and just fabulous!
He is extremely responsive to emails and phone calls, he provides his input when needed and he genuinely is looking out for your best interest in regards to music (what first dance songs work, what doesn't, father/daughter dance songs, mother/son dance songs, etc. If and when I wanted to meet to discuss day of items, he made himself available.
John also did our lighting. Fantastic job. The reception hall looked mesmerizing.
I highly, highly recommend Music Now to anyone who is looking for the best DJ in town!

I can't say enough about how pleased we were with Music NOW! Entertainment. Mike did just a fantastic job keeping our guests on the dance floor. He clearly is happy doing his job! Mike also met with us twice to make sure all of our wishes were understood. We ordered the up-lighting too and it was amazing.
I would highly recommend these folks to anyone throwing a party or having a wedding.

John was great!
We had a company pool party and John came through at the last minute for us. He was lively and energetic. This particular event was more family friendly, and John got right down with the kids to do the dance contest, water balloon toss, and hoola-hoop contest! He played a wide variety of music, and was able to take requests. I would recommend him for all kinds of events, as he seems very adaptable. Friendly, talented and a true professional to work with!

John was great. Very professional and flexible. Even when our site for the ceremony changed multiple times he didn't skip a beat. Also we ordered mood lighting from John and he thought the room could use a few more and just put them up without looking for any extra compensation. As far as DJ services are concerned John had everyone up and dancing all night long. If you are looking for the whole package for your wedding John is it. -

John was excellent throughout the planning process and the event itself. He was very professional, offered great ideas, and followed through with everything as we had planned/discussed. He was a fantastic DJ, was friendly, and played guests' song requests. Additionally, the lighting he brought for the room was perfect. My husband and I can't say enough about John Kasmark with MusicNow. 5 stars just doesn't seem enough for the professionalism and flexibility he provided for our event. Our wedding was outdoors and due to high winds and rain the wedding was postponed until the worst had past. He was amazing with all the sudden changes due to weather....
John had a backup system that he had set up for dancing along the wrap around porch and his ability to stay calm and collected with all the changes....unbelievable!
Before the event, he was happy to craft the music to our tastes based on artists and genre and incorporate music we eventually gave him on CD. He checked in with us periodically and then a few weeks before the wedding we finalized everything.
Day of our event, he was set up before guests arrived and knowing we were expecting a storm, had both systems ready to go which offered us the greatest flexibility!
And if that's not enough, our guests loved him! He was not the kind of DJ that stands behind the equipment. He was dancing behind his equipment and kept the energy going for several hours. The accent lighting was very tasteful and really transitioned the space from our amazing sunset sky into a very festive party atmosphere.
My husband and I were so happy with John and would definitely suggest you meet with him to really get a sense for his hands on approach and willingness to make your day perfect.

Absolutely loved working with John. He was an absolute professional. There was a very small (hence the .1 downgrade) communication snafu in the middle of the process, but he took accountability and fixed the issue right away. During the ceremony, he was absolutely in control, had all the necessary equipment, and his uplighting? Breathtaking! What he put together far surpassed what I was expecting to see when we entered the dance floor. We were absolutely thrilled with John's music- he incorporated some latin and world music as requested, and had us on the dance floor all night! I would absolutely hire John again, in an instant. -

John has done many parties for us over the years. We have had dance parties on our patio, in our living and now at our son's wedding. John is the best DJ we have ever used or danced to over the years. John throughly enjoys his music and understand the crowd. He keeps the music and dancing going with enthusiasm and he understand the vibe of the crowd.
The wedding was specrauliar with John guidance and timing. He guided the bride and groom through the first dance and cutting of the cake and the toasts. John has a way with music and understanding people.
Let me add it was the hottest day of the year and John had everone on the dance floor enjoying dancing in 100 degree weather. The guest kept asking for more music even at the end of the night. We love John and can not wait for our next wedding. You will be in great hands with John. -

John was an excellent DJ. From the moment we met him, he took our requests and ran with them. Leading to the wedding we met with John to make the finals arrangements. During the wedding he was awesome, he played all of the requests from our guests, did a great job as master of ceremony and was teaching our little nephew a few things about DJing.
All in all, John was fantastic and if we ever have another party I would not think twice to hire John -

I had never hired a DJ before for anything, so my nerves were pretty shot when researching DJs for my wedding. But John Kasmark made a great first impression on my now-husband and I. He is a great listener and is open to his clients’ ideas. He makes professional suggestions without pushing, and was a huge help in finalizing the order of events for the wedding.
Overall he is a very friendly guy who has a genuine passion for what he does. In addition, he MCs as well as playing the music, so his introductory speech near the beginning of the wedding was a wonderful plus.
I was told by a family member that at least one of the music speakers may have blown out during the wedding, but no one seemed to notice because we had more people on the dance floor than anticipated. But nobody should judge by this because this sort of thing can happen to even the best wedding vendors. All of our guests still had a great time.
I would definitely use this company again should I need a DJ in the future.

John rocks!! It is not every day your wedding DJ will jump into a pool with you, and then run back to the table to pump out a few more songs for eager partygoers! Plus, while some DJs will just sit there playing songs, he is genuinely into everything he's doing and knows how to get a crowd moving :) -

Our wedding was on New Years Eve and from the very first meeting, John was great. He listened to our ideas and was great at giving good feed back and advise when I asked. We had a special intro for the ceremony and special dance for the reception and John was able to pull everything off without any problems. Hi HIGHLY recommend John and Music Now Entertainment to any bride and groom. From the birde's view, John was amazing. And I'm sure he was running around behind the scenes asking questions and working hard. All of our guests enjoyed the music and the dance floor was never empty. Great service and great guy! Great service. Prom's are a hard event to find the perfect DJ for with students having such different likes and don't likes. Music Now! was perfect. Great balance of all music, allowed for interaction with students, and really just kept the event going. Can not wait to work with him again in the future. -

I had a mixed time with John. The first initial call went great. My husband and I are very picky when it comes to music but we especially don't like most modern Top 40 songs and cliches. John understood and said he would tailor his playlist to what we wanted.
What followed this call was confusing. John sent over a document to fill out but it was attached to email chains from other clients. Almost every email I sent (even when it was a brand new email) was returned with a forwarded conversation from another client. This made communication very difficult to follow as he almost never replied directly to my emails.
John said he would contact me 9 weeks from the wedding to start finalizing things (he did not).
I emailed him a month before the wedding to go over what we had talked about in our initial phone conversation along with a "Do Not Play List" and a "Please Play List". On the big day, he did play a few things from the "Please Play List" during dinner, but when the dance floor opened up, he seemed to ignore my "Do Not Play List" and played whatever he wanted. I specifically did not want cliches like "Celebration" or "We Are Family" to play, or inappropriate songs for a wedding like "Billy Jean" or "You Shook Me All Night Long", and I really didn't want to hear anything from Taylor Swift or Justin Bieber. All of these requests were ignored.
I was very disappointed in John's service. He was a good DJ in that he made sure the timeline of events went smoothly, he just didn't follow my instructions about song choices. And really, for what I was paying him, I would expect him to play the songs I wanted him to play.
If you want a standard DJ to play anything and to make sure the timeline of the night goes as planned, John is your man. If you want an specificity in your night's playlist, I would look elsewhere. -

We booked John early in our planning process due to the great reviews and a phone conversation with him that all went well. He sent us a doc to fill out with all the details - timeline, songs, wedding party names, etc. This was completed and returned with confirmation he was all set to go for the ceremony/reception.
Fast forward to the day of the wedding - John showed up late, did not have the information we provided, forgot to announce the flower girls, mispronounced a name, got our first dance song wrong, couldn't find the special song I requested in honor of my father, and didn't play the type of music we had expected based off the list we gave him.
I'm not sure what happened, but wouldn't want this to happen to another bride! -
