Wow, Jack is awesome!

Jack went out of his way to make sure that we had the music we wanted at our event. He was positive, flexible, and helpful in his feedback. He kept our day moving and provided a wonderful ambience to the day. Having him as part of our vendor team made the day flow more smoothly!

We hired Jack for our very small wedding at Chaminade. He was very professional and fun to work with. I highly recommend him if you're looking for someone who is very experienced and professional.

Jack did an incredible job on our wedding. He was great to work with and very helpful as we prepared for the wedding, and was lots of fun during the wedding itself. He had all our friends and family dancing all night long, even the ones who "don't dance"! He was there on time and ready prior to the start of the ceremony and didn't miss a beat from start to finish. Very professional, and a lot of fun!

Music Now DJ's was the BEST choice. We looked at DJ's ranging from the Silicon Valley to the Monterey Peninsula. Jack Crawford and his team provided the most personalized servicing for a truly great value. Jack was also the DJ for our event and as the bride, I knew I could completely relax with Jack "behind the wheel". If other brides are reading this, you'll understand the priceless value of being able to truly relax! Jack was so great to work with, very responsive, and truly made it his life's mission to ensure our music selection and MC schedule was perfect. The photo booth was also a hit. Thank you so much!

We appreciate everything Jack did to help make our day so wonderful! It was so awesome being able to combine contracts into one and not have to stress about multiple and different deposits etc. and of course he was truly an amazing officiant for us it was like he knew us our entire life. Jack and his team know exactly what to do and how to help you. They make the whole process so easy and you just show up and enjoy your day. They know how to read the crowd and keep everything flowing so perfectly. Everyone had such a great time and danced the night away.
We also had the photo booth which was a big hit. We loved looking at all the photos of our family and friends having so much fun.

Jack was perfect! He played the right kind of music to keep everyone out on the dance floor, and enough slow songs to keep my husband dancing. I found him at a bridal show along with several other DJ services. I talk to 3 others before I came across him. He and his partner were so easy to talk to, I stopped looking for anyone else. Better then that, his rates were almost 1/2 of the other hacks I spoke with. He kept everything moving, light, and easy. I will definitely hire him again if the need should rise.

Overall great DJ! We had to plan the wedding from another state which made it really difficult; however, Jack was extremely flexible with us and worked with us the whole way! Not knowing what to do or anything about wedding DJs he helped me understand and plan. Some things changed the day of the event and he worked with us. Overall, awesome! Thank you!!

We met Jack Crawford with Music Now DJ's at our venue, during a tasting/vendor event. My wife and I met with a few DJ's prior to meeting Jack. The DJ's we met with, came off as being a bit too loud, cheesy and were more interested in what they had to offer rather than listen to what my wife and I were looking for. Then we met Jack with Music Now DJ's. We spoke with Jack for about 30 minutes, but within the first 5 minutes, my wife and I both knew we found our DJ. Jack asked what we were looking for in a DJ, what we didn't want, and then listened to us answer. He got a feel for us, our guests, the type of music we wanted and then he told us how Music Now DJ's could meet/exceed our needs. He was never pushy or cheesy and the 3 of us got a long great. We specifically booked Jack to be our DJ/MC for 6 hours and the attended photo booth option for 4 hours. We could not have asked for a better DJ/MC for our wedding as Jack not only exceeded all our expectations, but he was able to help us with a few on the fly changes/requests and didn't miss a literal beat. I wish I had more space here to continue to tell you how awesome Jack and Music Now DJ's were for us and our wedding, because they were. But I will leave you with this, if you are considering Jack and Music Now DJ's for your wedding, stop "considering" them and book them! Jack was a big part of our event and everyone told us afterwards that he was amazing, played great music that kept folks on the dance floor and that they loved the photo booth. Thank you Jack and Music Now DJ's for being a part of our wedding and providing an experience that exceeded all our expectations!

Jack did a great job at our wedding. We had special music we wanted for the ceremony and he had no problem being emailed the mp3s. Everything was perfect!

Jack was such a Pro! He handled a complex wedding setup and timeline with ease. Our guest had such a good time. He had them dancing all night long. He read the crowd perfectly. Jack was such a pleasure to work with. State of the art equipment. He was very prompt and efficient. We never worried about anything. Jack handled it all.

Jack is magical. Seriously. Not only does he spin some sweet tunes, but he has the wedding thing down pat! He found out I was a DIY, budget bride, and he worked his butt off for me. He walked me through the process and even helped out in other areas where I was having trouble. He was practically a wedding coordinator at times. During my wedding he was responsive, professional, fun and just all around awesome. If you're looking for the best DJ, you can stop now. Jack is it.

Jack was a great DJ. We feel so blessed to have him on our big day. He cued the music perfectly for our ceremony, and kept the wedding on schedule. Music Now DJs were amazing at my wedding! Seriously, my only regret is not hiring them for longer! They were so accommodating and really understood the type of music I wanted to play. I got so many compliments about how fantastic the DJ was, and really I can't think of a single thing they could have done for it to be more perfect. They were so friendly toward everyone, played to the feeling of the room, got everyone dancing, and never missed a beat.

Everything from the music for our entrance, first dance, daddy/daughter dance, mother/son dance, the special song for my mother, and the TWO farewell songs (I couldn't decide, so he played both and it worked SO well) were just perfect. I wish I could go back in time and tell myself "book them for longer, trust me" because I just can't get over how perfect it was. I also got compliments from my other vendors that needed a mic or amplification that Music Now DJs know exactly what they are doing. They have their job down to perfection. There is no curve ball they can't handle and everyone will thank you for picking a vendor so competent and talented. I can't say enough good things about them, so I will just say a big "Thank you! Our day went off without a hitch thanks to you!" :)

Jack was wonderful right from the start. He gave me a lot of great information that I would have never known about having a ceremony on Cowell Beach. I interviewed a few DJ and Jack was the one the Bride, Wedding Coordinator and Mother of the Bride all liked hands down. He was excited about doing the ceremony on the beach and knew most of my other vendors. He has had many years working at The Dream in so knew everything thing that needed to be done that most would not know. He had also worked with many of the others I hired and they all worked well together. Jack keep everyone entertained and the reception moving without any down time to let the guest get bored. He was a true professional and knew what he was doing. Thank you Jack! You are awesome!

Jack and Stoney were very professional and responsive to our requests and Stoney was an excellent DJ the night of the wedding. His experience was very helpful and he helped make sure that everything ran smoothly all night. The music was a great hit and everyone had a great time and commented on what a great wedding it was and how much they enjoyed the dancing. Stoney was a hit and overall MusicDJ was instrumental in making the wedding a success. We could not have been happier with the Music DJ team and we would definitely recommend MusicDJ to anyone that has a wedding coming up.

I really enjoyed working with Music Now. They were really good at contacting me, reviewing my extensive music request and making sure I was satisfied. My DJ, Andre, was the best! He was very professional, made sure to get the guest involved for the dancing and was great at making announcement and getting the guest to where they needed to be I.E: to start dinner, cake cutting, flower/garter toss, etc.

I Also really appreciated the equipment they provided. For the ceremony they provided a small sound system for music while guest sat down, while the wedding party walked down the aisles and they also provided a microphone for the officiant to wear that picked up mine and my husbands voice so our guest could hear us say our vows. Along with the mini sound system for the ceremony part they had great equipment for the dancing as well.

I would highly recommend this company.

We had the pleasure of having Stoney as the DJ for our wedding & reception. He was the most professional and fun DJ and our guests had so much fun. Stoney was right on top of everything, keeping everything going. His interaction with the guests was great. At one point my daughter asked him to play a special song so that her son of 7 years old could do a special dance for us. He made my grandson feel like a Star and worked that right in like it was planned. Stoney and Jack listened to all of our ideas and what we wanted to have for music and took that to a level of expertise. My husband & I had thee best time ever, and we were so happy that Stoney with Music Now made our day even more special. We didn't want that day to end.

Music Now is very friendly and professional. While I was stressing about all of the wedding details, I always felt calm and reassured when speaking with Music Now. Jack was our DJ and he was great! He's been in the business for a long time and really has an understanding of how weddings flow and how to keep a crowd entertained. Jack checked in with me on several details, was able to go with the flow, and helped out a lot with suggestions beforehand and even in the moment! His advise was much appreciated. The wedding was great and guests were dancing until the very end!

Jack was awesome! We needed a DJ last minute and he adjusted beautifully and professionally. He was also extremely accommodating when i suggested using Spotify, a tool he hadn't used previously, and he totally knocked it out of the park. Loved Jack, he's highly recommended!

Music Now DJs make sure the music you want played gets played. They also act almost as wedding coordinatotrs, helping you to keep everything in order and flowing smoothly, so you will not have to think about it on uour day!

Our DJ Scott was fabulous! My husband and I could not have been happier with the way the music turned out. He made sure that everything went exactly the way we wanted it with announcements, music cues, the first dances and most importantly the sound for the ceremony! He was very professional, not cheesy at all, and played the best music for all of our guests to boogie to! We received so many compliments from guests of all ages saying what a wonderful job our DJ had done. I would highly recommend Music Now!

Our DJ, John, stepped in at the last minute when our original DJ had to back out due to a family emergency. Considering that he had never met us before, and that he had found out about our wedding only two days before, he was able to execute our program extremely well. He was very flexible; we had a few changes to make in the program only moments before our grand entrance to the reception, and he was able to take in these changes and execute them perfectly. We also had multiple musical performances in the reception, some involving audio accompaniment; although we had to switch the order of these around as well, John really came through and all of it went very smoothly. He was very kind and fun, and he did exactly what the best DJs are supposed to do: he understood the character of the wedding and kept an eye on the mood and energy of everyone; he selected great tracks to keep the whole crowd dancing all evening. I had a great time thanks to him!

Jack and his team at Music Now in Santa Cruz came down to Monterey and DJ'd our wedding and we are SO glad he did. He arrived with his team and equipment early, set up, and had the mood set well before our first guests arrived. The music was spot on all night. Jack even followed-up with us periodically throughout the night to make sure we were having fun and were pleased with the performance. He even fulfilled some pretty spirited and rambunctious special requests by our guests.

There's so many tough decisions to make about a wedding- this is an easy one. Music Now is a great choice for music and entertainment. I would highly recommend them!

We got married at a big venue and they recommended music now. They were awesome and I can't say enough good things. Professional, on time, intuitive about playing the right music and the right time. They weren't cheesy or anything- they very much subtly ran the whole wedding. And Steve was awesome!

LOVE music now! We are from Santa Cruz but brought them to San Mateo with us for our big day! We had Jack at our wedding, and as everyone SHOULD know, he is simply amazing! He pretty much directed the entire flow of our wedding, and he was such a pro at it. He reads the people, plays the right music, moves the "events" along, like the cake cutting, garter toss, etc.
I know Music Now has been around for us in Santa Cruz for a long time, I just hope people never forget Jack and his crew, because they are wonderful! We are SO happy with their work at our wedding! Thank you Jack!!

Jack is great! He did such a wonderful job of making our wedding reception fun and upbeat yet keeping the atmosphere classy and not a like high school dance. He offered helpful advice and music recommendations and helpful suggestions as to the “order of events” for the evening. Jack is a true professional and was able to keep the evening’s energy running smoothly and keep our guests entertained and in a celebratory mood the entire night. I would recommend Jack without hesitation and if I ever needed a DJ for another event, he would be my first phone call!

Jack did a wonderful job not only with the ceremony music but also for our reception. He is very professional, understanding, and easy to work with. He did a great job on keep the night going and making sure everyone was having a fabulous time. I would definitely recommend him and will use him in the future any time we need a DJ. He is by far the best!!!

Jack Crawford at Music Now is the finest Master of Ceremonies, and a truly talented DJ. He was so professional, and made our reception really fun. When it was time to dance, he Rocked the House. The entire process was very professional, and Jack and everyone at Music Now are a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them!

Jack with Music Now DJs is absolutely fantastic as a DJ and Entertainment Host. He is engaging, interactive, and thorough. Not only does Jack deliver dance floor enthusiasm, he also helps manage the rhythm of the evening and provides flawless transitions from toasting to dining to dancing. Prior to the big day, Jack was also a huge help to my husband and I, providing insight and advice that only a seasoned professional could provide. We were looking to rent a photobooth for our reception and found Music Now DJs at our local wedding expo. We found they had competitive pricing for the services they offered. The owner called a few times to confirm dates, times, and details. On the day of the wedding, the photobooth was setup on time, the attendant was dressed professionally, and most importantly, our guests had a great time taking pictures. At the end of the night, the attendant delivered our photo album and a DVD with all of the pictures. The only thing that didn't happen was the pictures were not printed with our names and wedding date, but we consider that to be relatively minor. All in all, our experience was good.

Everything was Awesome for our wedding. We were very slow in deciding which music to play, but everyone was very patient and helpful. At the event, our dj, Ryan, was awesome. He maintained professional and appeared to enjoy the event just as much as we did. He played music that worked well given our mixed group and young and old people.

Very friendly and easy to work with. Had a nice presence as both the officiant and the DJ. I really liked that he could be our officiant as well, because it was one less person I had to coordinate and I knew he would have a good presence during the ceremony. I felt confident he could handle any situation. Also, he was very open to my ideas but also had good advice on how to make those ideas work, or how to make them better.

We employed Jack Crawford as the DJ for our wedding reception at Michael's on Main in Soquel on Labor Day weekend. We went to a bridal expo in Santa Cruz and spoke with several DJs. We wound up going with Jack based upon both a recommendation from our event coordinator and our first impression of him. We noticed right away that he's got that quintessential big, deep, FM-radio voice that gives your event instant professional credibility. He's got a bullpen of other DJs with professional backgrounds working for him as well. He was extremely accommodating in terms of music selection. He works with you a few weeks before the event and so we told him the vibe we were going for and requested a bunch of rock music that you wouldn't normally hear at a wedding and he was able to pull it off without a hitch. Being a true professional, he gauges your audience well and keeps them dancing (which usually means you wind up hearing a lot of the same songs they always play at weddings but what can you do?). That night, he kept in constant communication with me throughout our reception to make sure we were satisfied with how things were going. What still stands out to me was his professionalism. He even asked what the attire of the event would be beforehand so that he was dressed appropriately. He was very familiar with our venue and showed up about an hour beforehand with a van full of gear to setup his sound system. During our reception it got a little chilly and he was able to adjust seamlessly by moving the dance floor from the outdoor patio to the fireside lodge while everyone was busy eating. All of our guests had a great night and everybody said it was one of the coolest weddings they had ever attended. Jack played a major role in that and we are grateful to him for his efforts in making the night a success. All in all he is a great guy: easy to work with, professional, and good at what he does. We give him our highest recommendation.

We didn't do much corresponding before the wedding other than going over the completed wedding packet, but closer to the wedding he was very responsive an absolutely killed it on the day of! He made sure all of my special requested songs were played, even the ones that were difficult to find (i.e. special covers of certain songs). Plus, he included an awesome surprise for the cake cutting - he found out we were devoted Sharks fans a few days before the wedding and included the Jaws theme song for us at the cake cutting. I thought it was a surprise from my husband - but it was actually the DJ! He also took requests from our guests with the appropriate tact and judgment on what he knew we liked. I also got a lot of compliments on the dinner music. We hadn't even really picked anything for that, it was all the DJ. But family kept coming up to me afterwards and asking if we made it and could we send them the playlist. Really awesome DJ!

Jack from music now had excellent communication. Although the D.J he assigned to me was not as prompt in returning my calls. They were great at working with me, giving me ideas and they just wanted to make me happy. I think the volume on the microphone could have been a bit louder in order to get more peoples attention when making announcements such as first dance/cake cutting etc. Overall they had all the songs I requested and were on time setting up. I would recommend them and use them again in the future.

We opted to rent a sound system and use an ipod for the the reception music. My husband picked up the system and the person in charge was a little too particular about the cords being put away right and was a little paranoid. When I dropped the system off he was complaining about how the cord were put away and made several comments I feel he should have just kept to himself about the system being left on and the $3 lapel mic cover missing... which are very easy to loose when taking off and on.

While we had heard great things about Music Now, we were disappointed by their services. We used Andre as a our DJ and I would not advise using him or Music Now at your wedding. Here are the experiences we had that you should be aware of if you are considering using them:

1) ORGANIZATION: They were very organized in gathering the timeline/information for our wedding and were timely in their e-mail responses. However, on wedding day, we were extremely disappointed in the series of events that occurred. During the reception, the DJ announced that he was going to play a song for the Mother-Son dance. After 3 minutes of silence, he played a different song. While the owner said the song was not working and we understand this happens, Andre did not take the initiative to smooth over the situation and quickly play something else.
2) MUSIC/TRANSITIONS: While most of the songs played stayed within our requests and Andre did a great job keeping the dance floor full, we noticed that there were hardly any transitions between the songs. The music went out 2-3 times during the reception and between a few of the songs, it took about 10 seconds for a new song to start playing. We thought it demonstrated a lack of professionalism and preparation.
3) PROFESSIONALISM: After the wedding, I(the bride) noticed a text message from Andre from during the wedding that read "I'm tired but its going." The owner explained that Andre meant to text this message to a friend. Even if it was a mistake, it demonstrated a serious lack of professionalism on the part of the DJ.
4) FEEDBACK: The groom and I made a mistake when signing the contract and did not realize we would need to pay overtime to cover the length of our reception. This was not brought up to us until minutes before the contracted end time. Fortunately, the owner did not make us pay the overtime to compensate for our negative experience. When providing the owner with feedback, he made excuses for the negative feedback given.

Our first warning sign should have been the positively antique modes of communication. There is an e-mail address but for most communications and the actual song request sheet Music Now sent us a paper list through US mail. They insisted that the list of song requests be faxed back; e-mail not an option. That is sort of weird but the real problem came in when they completely refused to send a new list when we requested it;They actively refused a simple request for a few cents postage. Red flag number one.

I had numerous conversations with the owner of Music Now about what we wanted to have played. Some of this was not available on their standard lists and there seemed to be some problems with the staff locating Youtube videos and/or making MP3 files for the purpose of expanding their song repertoire. My brother was able to do this in a minute or less and was fortunately interfacing with the DJ on the day of the event. Unfortunately my brother had to not only supply the music we wanted but to convince the DJ (John) that plugging an iPod into his mixing set-up would not "hurt" (actual words) his equipment. I understand that not everyone is technically savvy but a man who plays music at weddings should be able utilize modern music equipment.
The worst was the music he played. We wanted hava nagila, he played fiddler on the roof first! Then a terrible chabad version of hava nagila that was awful, we had to keep dancing way longer than necessary. He played the wrong song for the countdown dance and then St Elmo's fire for the cake cutting. We are not in our 50s nor at a bar mitzvah. I was very sepcific about modern music, john played a horrendous MJ medley for nearly 12 minutes when we only had 60 minutes to dance. He was terrible.
When I complained, his boss essentially blamed me for not having the "packet" all ready, after I had asked for a new one! and reviewed specifically with him and the DJ my requests. not recommended

VERY UNHAPPY WITH THIS COMPANY-I WOULD NOT USE THEM AGAIN FOR ANY EVENT.

DJ arrived 20 minutes before the ceremony and did not sound check the wirelass lapel mike or the volume on the wired mike before the wedding ceremony. When the lapel mike was on, the sound was distorted, squealy, and with a loud buzz during the first part of the ceremony. Honestly, it would have been better to turn the sound system off.
Then it seemed like the DJ had found a loose connection on his equipment and and long as he held the plug in place, the sound was okay ... until the battery ran out mid-way through the ceremony.

People at the back of a very small ceremony (100 people) could not hear the vows. The poor sound quality almost ruined the ceremony. During the sales call to close the deal, Jack had stated that either he or his protege Scott would work this event. We didn't get that in writing (didn't realize we needed to) and so at the pre event meeting another DJ was substituted. The asisgned DJ mostly did a good job at the reception, but the equipment he used at the ceremony was not working properly. I feel like if one of the people promised had been there, they would not have had such poor equipment. I would not use this company, but if you do, be sure to get everything single detail in writing ... who will work the event, what time they will arrive, will they check the sound prior to the event, etc.

Terrible service! Do not use this DJ company. I never even spoke with them prior to them attending the wedding, they forgot to call me. They showed up, played music that I had asked not be played, were 40 minutes late in doing the toast and the DJ wasn't even friendly!
