Professional from start to finish
We had Music Mix of LaCrosse provide music for our ceremony and reception. Steve did an amazing job from start to finish and we couldn't be happier. The dance floor stayed full and even the older crowd was joining in. Thank you so much for making our special day that much better. -

The price was very reasonable especially for the service. We had Kelly as our DJ and he did a fantastic job! He was able to provide a great mix of music and kept everyone on the dance floor. Great energy and reliable. Would definitely recommend for anyone wanting a great DJ who can keep the party going. -

Nicole Sent on 08/23/2017My sister in law hired Music Mix for her wedding in Sept. of 2016 and they were so awesome that I asked them to handle my wedding as well. Tammy was absolutely amazing!! She was so helpful in handling the day and timelines that I didn't worry once about when things would occur and whether she'd have the music correct or not. She was so much fun as well! You can tell she truly enjoys her job! My guests loved the music she played and that she'd dance along with us. Couldn't have been happier with their services!! :) We had 8 hours of service (ceremony, cocktail hour, reception) as well as uplighting. -

Rebecca Sent on 06/20/2016This vendor was great! We were in contact with them leading up to the wedding. They asked us what special dances we would be having and what songs we would like for each. The DJ arrived on time and was set up for the grand march and dinner music. He did a great job working with our timeline as the night flowed from the dinner to the first dance, father-daughter dance, and mother-son dance. During the dancing he was active with the guests and paid attention to what songs got everyone on the dance floor. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ! -

Kristin Sent on 08/03/2011While it ended up being a good experience it took a little work to get there. I had asked and confirmed a specific DJ. I was notified 2 days before my wedding that the owner and specific DJ I had asked for and he personally confirmed he would do it was going to be on vacation and he set me up with a different DJ. That being said Kelley Wilde (the DJ that actually did our reception was phenomenal! I would recommend him over ANY other DJ ANY time). I had signed them up over a year before our wedding. I was notified during my bachelorette party that they needed song lists that day, included our first dance song which my fiance and I hadn't decided yet. They were pushy in making a decision when it came to that, and I felt that maybe I should have been sent an email or a phone call to remind me of this prior to the day it was due. I also felt that the first dance song didn't needed to be decided a month away from the wedding and should have been allotted more time for that particular song. I had even given them a list of 3 possibilities of songs we would want to dance our first dance to, and that was not adequate. -
User2837700 Sent on 10/27/2016We got to pick 15 songs that we would like to for sure be played at our wedding, about 3 hours before the wedding DJ Tammy called me and told me some of the songs would ruin my dance and she didn't think they should be played. I advised her that we would like them played as it is our wedding, in the end she didn't play the songs we wanted.
She talked down to us like we were children and we did not appreciate that.
At the end of the dance, she told us how much she wanted for a tip, which was insanely rude and made us not want to tip at all. -
User2845339 Sent on 11/01/2016I tried looking on google for reviews prior to booking but I should have looked here. They don't get a good review for a reason. DJ was very nice but the owner Steve is disorganized. Only communicates via email. Tried to set up a meeting with him and the DJ to review said it was impossible because it was 10 days before the wedding. Before booking we made it very clear that before the wedding we wanted to meet. They wanted to charge a arm and a leg to mix out first dance. DJ was assigned last minute. DJ was given the wrong information not the update sheet. Something weren't played at wedding and the DJ though he was great wasn't very interactive and that is what we were looking for. Save your money and time as well as aggravation go with another company. Also I never got an invoice so there was never a break down if what we were paying for so since we had no time or choice we paid blind. -

We booked on recommendation by our venue at the time in April of 2019. Our wedding is a month away and I haven't heard any communication from them about what to expect, what would be included in the price, nor have they asked about what we are looking for on the wedding day. They also expected for us to pay the full balance a month prior which I was not comfortable doing so without having a conversation about what the plan would be. The communication we have received has been unprofessional and rude. Steve gives off an arrogant vibe. Our "contract" was a Google Form that provided very little information. Yesterday, I canceled our services with Music Mix due to the lack of communication and the unprofessional communication that we did receive and Steve's response was: "We are great. Ask [name of event planner]. [Venue] loves us. We are the preferred vendor at every banquet hall." Steve also proceeded to reach out to the event planner at my venue multiple times to have her convince us to change our minds. I can't speak to the services they provide during an event, but since we had such an awful experience with them leading up to ours, we simply couldn't chance it. -
User2335918 Sent on 09/26/2015When I started planning my wedding I had planned on paying the most for the DJ as I felt that a DJ could make or break the dance portion of the wedding. I went to a wedding expo and checked out the booth and they were great and interacted just like I wanted someone to at my wedding. I contacted them in January and everything seemed good I filled out my contract and paid my deposit. I had a hard time getting ahold of them closer to the wedding (September) as a bride I wanted to make sure everything was in order. They finally responded by email, which is fine but I don't check often. Then this became the only way of contact, also ok. On the day of the wedding the DJ showed up. I didn't get what was advertised or what id paid for at all. He seemed very frazzled and I made a point to get up and talk to him about what I was looking for. We had a very rustic wedding and I asked if he'd start out with some fun country music and then morph into more of a party mode. This didn't happen. He then made the comment to me he only found out he was working this wedding that Thursday and that he doesn't actually work for them anymore and it was more of a favor. I was so upset. I booked them in January! The DJ was terrible and he ruined my entire dance. He played Watch me right at 8 when the dance started and then repeated multiple songs, multiple times. He played a version of the cupid shuffle no one had ever heard. When asked to play a song he said he was going from a list. He had no interaction, my dance was boring and lame thanks to the DJ. I would have been better off hooking up Pandora to the PA system. So I contacted the company that Monday VIA email as they seem to prefer to be contacted and 3 weeks later no one has felt the need to respond to my concerns. So no I do not recommend this company. Horrible DJ (nice man, bad at his job) and some of the worst customer service I have encountered. Id suggest Pandora and a PA system over this company.
