    LOVED my dj's!! They played great music and kept the guests dancing! Would not change a thing about them!!

    I would recommend this dj service to anyone! I am very pleased with this business. Our dj was Nick and he kept in contact to check in monthly, which for a stressed out bride, it was helpful and very nice to know that someone was thinking about our date and as excited as we were. We got married a couple weeks ago, and Nick had the dance floor packed the entire night. He knew by looking at the crowd exactly what songs to play. A++++++ Very pleased!!!!

    NO problems what so ever. They stayed in touch, but were not overbearing. It was a little nerve-racking not to work with my actual dj until the day of, but I know I could have requested to meet him sooner. But regardless, the dj did a great job! We had to kid show, which made the kids and parents happy.

    My interaction with the office was average, but my DJ kept the dance floor packed the entire night! He balanced the wedding activities with the music flawlessly. We used their microphone as well, which was cheaper than using the venue's and worked great.

    My only complaint was that I didn't even know who my actual DJ would be until the wedding day, but they provided me with a quality entertainer and he responded beautifully to the crowd and our music requests.

    They were really great. Very nice and responsive to my questions. My only issue with them was that they strayed from the playlist we provided quite a bit early in the night which led to very few people on the dance floor. But once we mentioned something to them, they stuck to the playlist/requests and our guests had a great time.

    They did a great job going over everything with us before they started the music and got a huge crowd to the dance floor.

    Working with Music in Motion was great. I worked with Nicole up to the day of the wedding. She was great to work with and was always on the ball. She made sure I sent in my music requests on time, and tried to accommodate as much as possible.

    On the day of the wedding, we had them do our ceremony in one location, and our reception in another (very close) location. It was hard to find someone to do both. The ceremony was perfect and the microphone worked great. For the reception, the microphone setup for the speeches for dinner worked perfectly as well. There were a couple songs we were told they didn't have the night of, and there were a couple misunderstood parts of the dances that were announced, but no one noticed.

    Overall, I'd work with Music in Motion again in the future!

    Great DJ, the company was wonderful to work with. We totally got what we wanted and they made our wedding reception so much fun. I would highly recommend them.

    Music In Motion did a great job. They had everyone dancing and played great songs. They were very flexible to what we wanted and any last minute changes

    The music they played was great, and although the DJ was technically dressed professionally, they looked like they had just rolled out of bed.

    Before the event, they were great: responsive to song requests and changes. However, without telling us, they sent 2 DJs, which required a 2nd vendor meal through our venue. Also, apparently there was some disconnect between Brandon, who we thought was going to be our DJ, and the actual DJs: the time changes we had requested a week before were unknown to them and a song change for the bouquet toss that I had requested about 3 weeks before was unknown. However, they kept our guests dancing the whole night.

    From the first contact, Music in Motion was very quick to respond to my questions. They were very helpful and courteous. They had a very helpful planning guide for us to fill out, which the DJ followed perfectly. During the evening, the DJ was very professional and flexible. He was willing to work with us. When someone requested something off of our DO NOT PLAY list, he was sure to find us and check with us. We were both happy with our choice.

    The DJ was a very good deal, but we did get what we paid for; they didn't have a very big selection of music and weren't very helpful with helping us think of a song for our grand march. However, if you are on a budget and are flexible with which songs you have, I would recommend them.

    Not bad...the dance floor was packed all night. But there was nothing outstanding that made them stand out. In fact, they even forgot to play a song for the Wedding Party to dance to and to do the bouquet and garter toss!

    Headquarters was very polite and professional when we spoke with them. Unfortunately day of, DJ showed up with the wrong Grand March and first dance even after they said that they'd been able to find the songs we'd asked for.

    Our DJ was not well trained our not organized. We did receive a refund though. Ask for a DJ that is an entertainer and they will work with you!

    Music In Motion had some room for improvement. Nicole, the office manager, was pleasant to work with and prompt in her responses. I was unimpressed and frustrated with the DJ assigned to us. My husband and I tried to contact him prior to the event to share our desires for the day. When we finally got a hold of him, he responded as though it was not important to talk to us. We had specific things we wanted since we have seen our fair share of terrible DJs that try to make the dance all about their entertainment rather than just playing music. When the wedding day came, he wanted to go over details with us during the reception. I didn't want to be planning and telling the DJ these things during the wedding which is why I tried to share earlier. He started playing music prior to the dance starting which made speeches difficult and we had to tell him to turn the music off. He also had a bad attitude about us starting the dance late because we were about 15 minutes behind schedule. He also tried to use his own "good ideas" for music and activities after we made it clear that we wanted him to do exactly what we said. The father/daughter dance song wouldn't work and everyone had to wait for him to get it to work without skipping.
    The company was great to work and in the end our DJ (Lee) played music we wanted, but he definitely didn't understand that he was a hired vendor to provide a service for us, it was not about him.

    So disappointed in the service we received for our wedding. The DJ was nice but the company sent him with an empty sheet. So he didn't play any songs we requested and he stayed later than what we paid for. We've been arguing back and forth with this company who is trying to make us pay extra because the DJ stayed longer than what we requested. This is the most unprofessional company I have ever worked with. The woman on the phone HUNG UP on us while discussing the issue. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. I'm shocked by how unprofessional and rude they are to their customers.

    When we booked Music in Motion they were great at the beginning about getting us the forms/contract which we returned. They also agreed that the DJ would come in a holiday outfit instead of their 'normal' clothes. We had a Christmas in July themed wedding. The week of my wedding a different office lady called and told us that they didn't have any of my songs that I wanted played for the flower toss, garter toss that if I still wanted those songs I would have to supply the DJ a cd with the songs on it. If I wanted to spend the time to find and put them on a CD why would have I hired them. Then the day of the wedding comes, the DJ that showed up didn't come in any holiday outfit, he was young and tried to interrupt us; the bride and groom during one of our kisses. How unprofessional is that. Supper was running a little longer than planned, the DJ was trying to rush us cutting the cake and everything else before the dance started. He kept coming up to us during pictures etc reminding us of the time, and that he was suppose to start at 6pm yes things were running behind time but he was still getting paid and was still leaving at 11pm so go with the flow of things, which he didn't do very well at all. We paid extra for a kids show I was told when we discussed this, it was the DJ coming onto the dance floor and interacting with the children and giving out blow up things and stuff for the kids to play with thru out the night, the DJ stood behind his little table and threw the kids the stuff he had for them. He never once tried to get the crowd involved in dancing, he just sat behind his table. He didn't play the list of songs that were on a 'must play' list, only played one and that was when I the bride went up there and requested it personally, even though it was already on the time line for the night. He played the wrong song for the mother/son dance, the garter toss. He even told the only people dancing that they could not request any more songs.

    I worked with Brandon from LaCrosse before the date. He was responsive and professional. Our DJ was Maddie. She arrived late and didn't start playing music until over an hour after scheduled, She didn't play a single song on our 'must-play' list (we were told later that it was a 'suggestion' list). When she asked what we wanted played we told her popular/top 40s and to stay away from country music. She played 70% oldies (which at least kept people on the floor) and a 30% mix of pop, country, and group dances (macarena, electric slide, etc). According to their website you request your music; I think not! She played more and more slow country songs toward the end so she could dance with one of my ushers. Not to mention turned it into her own karaoke bar by singing into the microphone over the originals. To top it off, without asking, she drove the van into the middle of the reception hall (privately owned structure) where people were still having a good time. When I complained to the company they said that she did act unprofessionally, but kept making excuses like she handed out a bunch of business cards and she may have known my usher. They backed her 100% for playing the music that she played and basically told me I was wrong for picking the music I did. There's more nonsense that went on, but that's the jist of it.

    If you want unprofessional, excuse makers, who don't play the music you want anyway, these are your people.

    Reading all these nice reviews make me sad and wish I could say the same. We met 2 of the music in motion guys at a wedding show in appleton. They were older guys just having fun and that was what we wanted. We booked them for our reception. We emailed back and forth about what we wanted. It was all good. A couple months later I get an email saying that guy was no longer with the company and our account was moved to the La crosse location. I told the lady we wanted someone older because we wanted a lot of older music. Nothing crazy 70s and 80s. She assured us it would be taken care of. We filled out the planner for the music and dances we wanted and what specific songs we wanted. Got an email back saying they didn't have over half the songs we wanted.(You are a dj company how do you not have this music) We were told we could put music they didn't have on an Ipod and give it to the dj. Well why couldn't they do that? Isn't that why we are paying you? Any way we ended up putting music on the ipod. Fast forward to reception. We walk in and see this young kid behind the dj table. He came and introduced himself and was nice so we thought ok he knows what's going on. Dinner music was good. Time for the dance. First he played the wrong music with the wrong dances. Then with the dance for the parents the song was all cracky and loud. The night goes on and he is playing a lot of what we did not want. He did not do the dollar dance. The only reason we even did the bouquet and garter toss was because of our amazing wedding party who took it upon themselves to do it. At 11 p.m. when everything is winding down the dj comes up and asks if we should do the grand march now. I said no forget it. You had a time line of when everything was suppose to happen and it's almost time to leave. We were pissed. To top it off paying the venue bill there was an extra $100 on there because the dj didn't bring a table so they provided him with one. Needless to say we were not happy.
