Best DJ experience!

Wes and Jeff did an exceptional job, both for our outdoor ceremony and our indoor reception. They even did an east coast swing lesson which our guests loved. The music was exactly what we requested and everything was timed perfectly. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Super experience - highly recommended!

Wesley is friendly, easy and fun to work with. He was more than just the DJ for my daughter’s wedding – he helped us through the many planning stages and stayed with us through COVID postponements and rescheduling. At the reception, he acted as an emcee. And during the dancing, he didn’t just play music – he gave a dance lesson and was engaging and effective in inviting guests to join him on the dance floor – even leading a fun conga line. It was a challenging scenario for him, as he needed to set up the sound system in two separate rooms, but he did a nice job, and everything sounded great. He had his speakers and his DJ station nicely covered up to hide any “electronic” look. Our celebration turned out great in a large part because of Wesley. Would highly recommend him for a fun and lively wedding reception.

The best experience ever!!

Music and Dance Productions was absolutely the best ever! I had attended a wedding 8 mths before and worked with Wesley and knew had to book him for my daughters wedding on May 1st, 2021. All the music was wonderful and timing was excellent. I give 5 stars in every category for Music and Dance Productios. A class act!!

Excellent DJ for any occaision

Wesley was fantastic to work with. He was readily available to do the planning ahead of time. The day of the event he was at the venue well before the guests arrived and was set up and ready to go. Unlike some DJ's, other than a few introductions or instructions, you only heard the music from the DJ. Would recommend him for any occaision.

Very interactive and engaging.

Wezley was awesome. He listened to and met all of our request and the request of our guest. He was very good and engaging the crowd and also helped with keeping the little ones safe on the dance floor. Thank you so very much for your services.

Awesome DJ....Great time!

Wesley Boz was an AWESOME DJ at my daughters wedding. He worked well with the couple and was flexible during this difficult time of COVID. He interacted with the couple, wedding party and the guests. They enjoyed dancing and had a great time.

WOW-not your average DJ at all

Outstanding-not sure where to start. Wonderful to work with, extremely helpful with any and all suggestions. Really takes the time to get to know you and what your looking for. Everyone complemented on our wedding and everyone always ended with-that was the best DJ we have ever seen! So personable and gets everyone involved at the reception. Definitely check Wesley out! You will not be disappointed at all.

Wesley was a great choice to DJ our wedding ceremony and reception! He was extremely organized and easy to work with during the planning stage. We didn't have a day of coordinator or a planner, and Wesley was happy to fill the gaps as far as keeping our timeline moving along, which I really appreciated. During the reception, he kept a great dance party going (even with our small guest count of only 40 people) and led some impromptu line dancing lessons, which even got my very reserved mother out on the dance floor! Would definitely recommend him for your wedding!

Danced the night away at our wedding!

Wesley was phenomenal. He got there early and had everything set up when we arrived for pictures before the ceremony. He did a great job introducing himself to all the guests and making sure everyone was having a good time dancing. He even surprised us with props that our guests had a lot of fun with! Wesley did an amazing job as DJ for my son's wedding! Everything from a fun Merengue dance lesson for all guests to learn, to participating with us on the dance floor for a wonderful night of dancing with a variety of music. Wesley was very professional and personable throughout the event, allowing all of us to relax and have a memorable day. Plan to be on the dance floor all night long when you have Wesley as DJ!

We hand't met Wesley prior to our wedding day- we didn't even know what he looked like! But it was great regardless! Everyone loved the music he played and he even had props for fun photo op at the end with a huge group photo. Nice work!

Wesley is simply amazing, there is no other way to put it. While planning our wedding, we spoke with several DJs based in the Raleigh area, who all were responsive, but Wesley really knocked it out of the park from the beginning. My now-husband's family is Greek and we were looking to have incorporation of a few Greek dances into our reception. Wesley not only had an expansive music library with songs from a variety of cultures, but he also offered to obtain any music we wanted that he didn't already have AND to teach one of the basic Greek dances at our reception using his skills as a dance teacher. He did an amazing job at the reception - he got everyone out on the dance floor to try to Greek dance despite very few guests knowing the dances in advance - and he kept everyone there throughout the rest of the night. Numerous guests commented to us how much they loved him, both because of his responsiveness to their song requests, his personality and ability to act as a host without being domineering, his ability to integrate seamlessly into our reception, and, of course, the fact that he brought out a number of fun and hilarious props during specific songs like YMCA. Additionally, Wesley made our day by bringing two sound systems, as our wedding was spread across two rooms at our venue.

My husband and I also took advantage of his offer to teach a dance lesson in the days leading up to our wedding reception, which was a blast and a confidence boost leading up to our first dance.

We can't say enough good stuff about Wesley - book him for your wedding!

Wesley was a great DJ, and everyone at our wedding loved the music and the impromptu dance lessons he provided at the reception--a lot of our guests even came up to us to tell us just that throughout the day. He was a total professional and extremely friendly, making sure to get to know all our guests and get their song requests and making sure that everyone had a great time. He was also very flexible and easy to work with. We were able to just tell him the general moods and styles of music we wanted during different stages of the wedding and reception, and he did a great job of picking songs that fit what we wanted. For the quality of service and the time commitment Wes provided, the price we paid was a steal. We're so glad that we decided to book him for our wedding!

Wesley Boz with Music and Dance Productions provided an excellent DJ service for our daughter's wedding. He is a very friendly guy who thoroughly enjoyed playing song requests from the guests and suggesting dance songs that he could then teach to everyone. As a group dance instructor, he had a large repertoire of perfect dance songs for the guests to dance the night away to.

Wesley was a fantastic teacher! He really took the time to teach the individual person as well as the couple. My fiance was very nervous about the first dance as he felt like he couldn't dance. My fiance now feels MUCH more comfortable now and is looking forward to using our new dance moves in the future at not only the wedding, but other events/engagements we will attend over the course of our lives. Wesley makes you feel comfortable and teaches at whatever level you are currently. We learned quite a bit in just 5 lessons. Go with him, you won't be disappointed!

Wesley from Music and Dance Productions is absolutely awesome! He was always courteous and patient, and his experience made our reception went super smoothly. Wesley and his wife are also professional dance instructors. He helped us practice our first dance and gave our guests a quick line dance lesson to help get them moving. He is very attentive to details. Both of us are originally from China, and so are many of our guests, Wesley chose a few Chinese music pieces which were of great taste. He told us that he had consulted with some Chinese friends on the music he chose to make sure they are good for the wedding. We were genuinely impressed by his attentiveness, professionalism, and superb hospitality. We will recommend Music and Dance Productions to all our friends!

This was our annual Christmas Party and we heard about Wesley through an employee and decided to check him out. From the first conversation I had with him I could tell he liked to have a fun time. The day of our party he came in PLENTY of time to set up before our first guest walked in the door. He did little lessons for everyone to learn how to do simple dances and everyone loved getting on the dance floor and learning something new. He even had people that normally sit back and watch out on the dance floor with us! He was lots of fun and he was very professional through the entire event. Thank you Wesley for making our Christmas party so much fun!

Wes is a professional and attentive DJ. You can tell he's been doing this for years. Wes came plenty of time before the event and had everything set up well in advance. His banter on the microphone is personable and confident. He's great at reading the crowd and playing what needs to be played to keep people on the dance floor and get those who aren't dancing out of their seats. At one point he got EVERYONE in the room to join in a line dance and conga dance! He's a dance instructor so, if your audience doesn't know how to dance, he can teach a short lesson. Highly recommended.

Loved having Wes Boz at the wedding. He is not only a dj....but a professional mc AND gets guests involved. Thinking about booking him for a special event.....he is exceptional.

Wes was fantastic at our wedding! He was the DJ and announcer that evening and kept the dance floor packed! He is very professional and will work with you the months and weeks (and days!) before the wedding to ensure he knows what you need at your wedding and that everything will run smoothly with the music. My husband and I took dance lessons from him and they were great! Wes helped us pick up new dance moves for our first dance and we wow-ed ourselves as well as our friends and family!

Wes even did a mini-dance lesson during cocktail hour for interested guests - definitely a hit with our friends! He kept everyone interested in dancing and took song requests. Lighting and sound systems he has are great!

We've heard so many wonderful comments from our guests about the DJ and music at our wedding! Everyone had so much fun! Wes is a great DJ and you will not be disappointed! Thanks Wes!!!

Wesley has been DJing our events for years, and is beloved by all who attend. He is eagerly awaited on every occasion and we always receive comments about how fun his dances are. One of the things Wesley is great at doing is helping people mix. He also brings party hats, mics and other props that help people get in the mood for a party. We couldn't recommend him more highly.

Wes provided DJ services at our recent wedding reception. He was such an important part of the organization, the fun, the energy and the success of a wonderful reception. He expertly guided the guests through the traditional components and found a way to keep all guests included. The dancing was so much fun - and everyone joined in. He taught a dance lesson that had everyone up and having fun from age 13 to 84. He knows his music and how to ensure the guests enjoy themselves. I felt total confidence that Wes would be prepared, timely and would lead the event in the most professional and polished manner. We can’t say enough about Wesley Boz with Music and Dance Productions who we used as the DJ and dance instructor for our daughter’s Oct wedding at Snipes Farm outside of Chapel Hill. We met Wes and his wife Debbie as we were researching DJs for the wedding. They were recommended to us as dance instructors and we found out that they also work as DJ’s. My husband and I decided to take dance lessons from Wes to improve our skills and build some dance floor confidence for the big day. Wes made the dance lessons fun and he has a great talent for making you feel comfortable right away on the dance floor.
Wes is a very talented DJ and MC, he has a knack for reading the audience and choosing music at the right moment that will get people up and moving. He does a thorough job of helping you with the wedding planning and schedule for the day of the wedding. From event timing to giving you ideas for music, Wes helped us create fun for the reception. He has a vast library of music and was very willing to get unique songs that you might want to include. He also did a quick dance lesson during the appetizer hour, which was great for keeping the crowd entertained and happy.
His sound system is awesome and he kept the volume at a good level for conversation during dinner. Wes is very experienced at his job and you can see he enjoys what he does. He provided a nice touch of professionalism with his tux and presentation throughout the wedding reception. We highly recommend Wes for any event!

Wesley, Tina and the rest of the crew at Music and Dance made my reception everything I wanted it to be. My husband and I along with our friends had the best time. My reception was perfect, and it was partially thanks to them.

Music and Dance Productions were the deejays at our Church's Summer Dance. The music selections were great and so were the dance lessons. The best thing I like about them is that they know how to stir up excitement and get people out on the dance floor.

We took dance lessons prior to our wedding with Wesley and it turned out great! Not only does he DJ, but he does dance lessons. His prices are incredibly reasonable and he gives you a sheet to fill out so that he knows what you want to hear and how to announce people, events, etc. For an extra fee, he will give dance lessons to your guests while your having your pictures taken after the ceremony. This is really wonderful and we highly recommend it! It allows your guests to learn a few moves so they're more apt to dance later without them becoming irritated because your photos are taking too long. : )

Wesley was very friendly and provided a great time for our wedding ceremony and reception. There were some songs that I required that’d played and didn’t get played, but overall, the music selection was good! He did play traditional songs that I had requested from a CD, and kept the party going.

Must have been an off weekend...

So I met with Wesley, and everything seemed like it was going to be easy. They have a nice wedding planner template to document different aspects of the evening. I wound up having to emailit to him a few times because he said I hadn't, when I had. Which had me concerned a bit, but we had a fairly simple reception, so I wasn't terribly concerned. Wesley said that he would be at the reception hall at 1 for set up. It was about 3 hours prior to the wedding, which seemed like a lot of time, but I was happy to have them that early so I wouldn't have to worry. However, he did not show up at one, no phone call, no email. Finally at 1:30 I called him and he said that his wife would be there soon. There was zero communication beforehand that he would not be the one attending, nor that they wouldn't be arriving at 1. A DJ is a very important part of a reception, so it definitely had me very concerned. It was nice that they taught my attendees a line dance per my request, it made it all a bit more personal. However, our first dance song was the wrong song, and there were a few times where there were other hiccups in the music. You could tell his wife wasn't as fluent with the set up, and her son was there to assist. They were a good duo, but overall I was disappointed in the execution of a simple reception.

Worst Vender/DJ ever! DO NOT HIRE!

Whatever you do, do NOT hire this DJ! Wesley was my only vendor that was absolutely awful. He played multiple songs off of our do not play list, he only played about half (13/18) of the songs we gave him to play, and he repeatedly tried to make our reception all about himself. I told him specifically no line dancing, but the second song of the reception he played the conga line. I tried to make the best of it and being the bride I went to the front. But no Wesley got out of the booth, mic in hand, and cut me off to be the leader of the conga line. We told him specifically we did not want him to be on the mic at all. All of our friends are 20s-30s, know how to dance, and we didn’t need any announcements. He repeatedly ignored that, came out on the dance floor with the mic, trying to tell our company how to dance. He told my extended family that they couldn’t sit in the front 2 rows of our ceremony because they were for “immediate family members.” But my immediate family was in the wedding party, so in all of our ceremony pictures it looks empty except for my parents sitting by themselves. He also spoke very rude and condescendingly to multiple guests and family members of me and my husbands. He played Mambo number 5 a total of 2.5 times! I had a special song I wanted the last reception song to be, but he ended it with a different song, and played the song I wanted as he ordered people to go outside for the exit.
I apologize for this rant, but I waited months to write this review to let my emotions calm down from how hurt I was. I didn’t want this happening to another bride! Instead of offering an apology or any sort of refund, all Wesley did was give me a bunch of excuses as to why he did what he did. Do NOT trust this man. He will RUIN your wedding!
