I am a wedding planner and work with many different venues and catering managers. Rebecca and Joanne at Braemar CC along with their staff members are very professional and accommodated the clients needs to make sure they were happy. Very easy to communicate with and they responded quickly to any questions or requests i had.

Rebecca was very lovely to work with! She always made everything work! For example, I wanted the grand piano for a performance to my husband and she made it happen even when it seemed impossible to fit with 200 guests! Everyone loved the amazing view and delicious food! Our friends are actually looking to have their daughter's one year old party there! We would recommend this venue for any event, and ask for Rebecca! She's wonderful!!!

Braemar Country Club is the best country club we ever been to. We attended several weddings else where but nothing can compare to the professionalism and dedication of this venue. The event coordinator (Rebecca Lazaro) went above and beyond to meet our needs and expectations. She worked very well with me specially to make sure I have everything I might and will need, answers all my questions and made us feel very welcome. The staff are very friendly, they attend to our guest very efficiently. The food were great. all my guest commended the Salmon top with shrimp and miso sauce and the Chicken dish. One last thing, It was great that they allow us drop off our boxes of goodies for favors, Jars for candy stations, etc days before the wedding so we don't have to carry stuff and assemble anything on that day so we had enough time to make sure we have everything we need. I highly recommended Braemar Country Club for any venue

I am an independent Wedding Coordinator for a wedding at Braemar Country Club on Sunday, September 1, 2013. Both Rebecca Lazaro and Christie Bates (Private Events Managers) were a delight to work with. Preparing and coordinating a wedding can be extremely stressful and laborious, yet working with Rebecca and Christie, made it such a wonderful experience. Both event managers were very professional, prompt to respond to inquiries, very approachable and just simply exceptional in their field. Rebecca was a gem and a real asset for Braemar during our wedding preparations discussing all the wedding details. The bride, Maridy, was a bit stressed out since Rebecca was going to maternity leave a week before the wedding day. Rebecca assured the couple that Christie had great reviews as well with all her events. Sure enough, Christie was equally wonderful during the rehearsal and the day of the wedding. Christie was calm and composed, easy to work with, very responsive to requests and last minute changes, simply put - she's amazing! She played a great role in making the event a success!

The staffs at Braemar (Shauna, Brian, and Alfie) were very helpful and the level of service they provided on the wedding day was excellent. It was a very hot day in the valley and yet Shauna readily lent a hand in getting the wedding accessories from the car to the reception hall... and we are most grateful for that. Rare that you see staff go an extra mile but they all did! The servers and bartender were all courteous and prompt, overall everyone at Braemar was wonderful and a joy to work with. I certainly will recommend Braemar to future clients!

We are still talking about Merrily's surprise party! Even after the excitement died down, our friends were still raving about the food, service and entertainment. In my opinion it was the perfect blend of planning and execution. Honestly, we are hard pressed to say anything negative about the entire experience. It's a TEN!
Rebecca Lazaro was fantastic. She made the whole process a breeze. Not only did she have great ideas, she was very flexible and catered to our every whim. We would do this again in a heartbeat.

Braemar was our dream venue! It was a beautiful July day, the view was breath taking not mention the elegant and classy enrty way with the marble floors!!

Before our wedding we met with Joanne several and her staff and they were always available to answer any question big or small. They always made sure to get back to us promptly!

They helped us with our menu and the food was deletable. Our guest were raving!

From inside the reception you could see the beautiful out door setting and in the evening as well... it is spectacular to say the least!

On our special day everything ran so very smoothly and went off without a hitch! Joanne and the staff at Braemar are exceptional!

My Husband and I highly recommend Braemar!! They are professional in every way!!!

My wife and I got married on July 27, 2012 at Braemar Country Club in Tarzana, CA. It was flat-out the best decision we could've made. The Venue is amazing...from the view at the ceremony site to awesome and spacious reception room. We worked with Rebecca and she made the process so easy on us...was easy to schedule pre-wedding appointments, she was prompt in answering every e-mail and got us a great rate. It was the best night of our lives and we definitely recommend having your wedding (or any reception) at Braemar!

The only sad part was the night went by too fast!

Vendor shows, Event staff was amazing. Rebecca was a delight to work with very flexible with dates and up to the last few hours prior to wedding when we changed our guest count.

We loved this venue! They are very professional and accommodating. The service during the wedding was great. They made sure everything went smoothly which was a huge help on the day of. I would defiantly recommend this venue for any event.

I had my wedding at the Braemar Country Club on Sunday, July 30, 2017. Carole Phillips coordinated the event. The wedding was even more amazing that what I had imagined. I looked at a lot of venues in the valley, and I don't believe that I could have found a better place for the price. The view are unbeatable. The food, appetizers and bar selection was good. The staff even cut our cake as part of the package deal. Carole always replied promptly to my questions of which there were many. I highly recommend the Braemar Country Club for your special event.

I was the event coordiator for Lacreatia and Benny Bray's wedding. I was very pleased with the professional atmosphere and diligent employees. Everyone was extremely helpful and they made the atmosphere peaceful and comfortable.
Christie was helpful, kind and professional each time we communicated. She was a pleasure to work with.

Absolutely Awesome!! I had my wedding here back in March and worked with Christie, it was great. She was so patient and accommodating. We had the ceremony (overlooking the golf course) and the reception (ballroom) for 100 ppl, the venue was just remodeled 2 yrs ago so everything is very clean, crisp and up to date. We looked around at many places throughout LA and for the price and the look of the venue this was the best place by far!!! Can I tell you as an added bonus the food was amazing, the portions, presentation and the flavor was above and beyond and wedding food I have ever had. Months later I still have people raving about the food and how much fun they had. Please note these may not be my fav photo's of the day but I put up the ones that would give you a better idea of the venue.

Joanne Rita at Braemar Country Club was very helpful and made everything very easy for us. She even arranged for the chef to make special appetizers for us, during one of our tastings, that my chef husband loved! The reception was beautiful and the clubhouse provided a wonderful venue. Our guests were also really impressed with the beautiful view overlooking the golf course.

Joanne Rita made my daughters wedding the best day of her life. She went above and beyond expectations. Joanne and the Staff were simply amazing. Every little detail and anything we needed was taken care of with no questions asked. The entire wedding and the service was unbelievable. I would highly recommend Joanne, the entire Staff and Braemar Country Club as a wedding venue.

I absolutely LOVE Braemar. Rebecca was fabulous. She was informative and helpful. A wedding is a very costly event and she was very respectful of my budget and did not try to "up sell" us on anything. She helped us find exactly what we wanted within our budget. She was very responsive when I called or emailed, I never had to chase her down to get a response. I think Braemar was one of the best values of the entire wedding. They have an absolutely beautiful location, the reception space is very neutral in color, and was large, clean and well maintained. No crazy decor that we had to decorate around. The wedding party was able to prepare in spacious locker rooms with ample seating area with tables and couches. And when we had an emergency with the groom who had a severe allergic reaction immediately following the ceremony, Braemar handled the situation calmly, quietly and professionally so that no guests were alarmed when the paramedics arrived. Paramedics were ushered through the back so that most of the guests never knew until the announcement was made later that the groom had to be taken to the emergency room! I have one more daughter to go (hopefullly not for at least 10 more years as she is still a teenager) and I will absolutely call on Braemar again.

I was helping my sister and my brother in-law planning their wedding, and I was so pleased with service and care we got. they made everything possible and they were always available for us.
The staff were very helpful,cheerful, the food was amazing and the views were breathtaking.

Braemar is the perfect place to have a wedding. Our ceremony took place right as the sun was setting, and it was absolutely stunning. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect place. The staff is wonderful and very helpful and warm. The food is delicious. I had the best time, better than I could have ever imagined. Thank you so much to the Braemar team for making my wedding easy and simply wonderful.

Braemar Country Club is an aesthetically beautiful venue. We had family and friends come from around the country and also from Brazil. Everyone commented on the beauty of the mountains surrounding Braemar. In addition, it was very easy to work with the Braemar staff. Joanne was very responsive and flexible. She did everything to make it a smooth experience for us. On the night of our party, the staff was prepared, organized, and were very friendly to all of our guests. Finally, there were a lot of different menu options and packages, creating many affordable options. Well worth the value!

We just recently got married at Braemar Country Club and Joanne Rita took care of us. Every time we went in to meet with her she found different ways to improve our event without extra cost. She had great ideas and saved us a lot of money by proposing alternatives to the things we wanted to do. I would highly recommend this place, its not only beautiful but its an amazing value for the money. The food is fantastic and our package included open bar for 4 hours (which was a major bonus)

My husband and i had the time of our lives and i have not heard anything but amazing things from all of our guests.

Christie is absolutely amazing - she is friendly, sweet, and very easy to work with. If I had any questions or problems she did everything in her power to make sure I was taken care of. I can't write enough great things about what a help she was in making our wedding a truly special event.

Also, on the night of our wedding, our captain (Ryan) and dedicated server (Coco) were wonderful to work with - they made sure things ran smoothly and easily. The rest of the evening's staff was equally professional and attentive.

The staff at Braemar were the best. They took the time to hear your concerns and your needs And they performed professionally in every area.

Braemar Country Club staff is professional in all areas setting up, helping you with whatever your concerns are thier chef made adjustments to the menu to accommodate our needs and everything they worked diligently with us from the start to the Finish.
I would recommend them 100% for Wedding receptions and any occasion that need special attention to details The view and everything was exceptional.

We held our wedding (ceremony and reception) at Braemar Country Club in Tarzana on October 26, 2013. It was an amazing day with memories for a lifetime! Braemar is the ideal venue for a wedding, and the staff did a truly outstanding job in all aspects of our event! From the initial meetings with the event staff to the wedding day, all our needs were met, beyond our expectations.
We worked with Rebecca and Christie - They both provided stellar service and worked tirelessly to plan and implement our event, including special requests! When the wedding day was approaching, we realized that we would not be able to host our rehearsal dinner at a nearby restaurant, nevertheless Christie came to our rescue and went out of her way to organize our rehearsal dinner at Braemar also. Of course, the rehearsal dinner was incredible too!
At the wedding reception, our guests were amazed by the service and loved the food! The view of the golf course and the valley from the dinning room created a beautiful background for our candle-light dinner.
We certainly recommend Braemar to everyone!

My wedding day was absolutely perfect! Rebecca at Braemar always responded to questions I had immediately, which made planning with other vendors and putting everything together that much easier. The grounds and scenery are absolutely gorgeous; the photos turned out amazing and everyone had a great time! I wish I could do this all over again just so this perfect day would last longer!

I do not think I can adequately describe how wonderful it was to work with Rebecca Lazaro and Braemar. Planning a wedding is terribly stressful, which is exaserbated by vendors who often take days to get back to you. Not Rebecca! I must have emailed her a million questions during the planning process and each time Rebecca replied promptly and with a helpful response. She did everything to make our day special including finding a fruit cart vendor for our cocktail hour. Besides that the location is absolutely beautiful. Our ceremony was outside overlooking the golfcourse and the room looked amazing with the view of the valley out of the windows. The food was great and the staff was helpful. I recommend Braemar then times over!

I had a small wedding of approximately 75 guests and the service they provided was top notch. Rebecca, our wedding coordinator, was professional, courteous, accommodating and knowledgable. She has been a part of many weddings so she knew how to make the event flow nicely. I had looked at so many venues for my wedding and they had a great value with a package deal that worked for us. I would not hesitate to recommend this venue and you would be lucky to work with someone like Rebecca and her team.

A spectacular view and more!

Braemar is a lovely venue with a spectacular view. The event coordinators are fantastic! I had never planned a wedding before and even though it was a very small affair, Ronni and Shai treated it as if it was the most important event they had. Their vendor recommendations were wonderful. They helped me every step of the way. I’m looking forward to having our next event at Braemar.

Everything was amaizing for the exception of two hick-ups we had; our cake topper and a base we used for our ceremony was misplaced and is nowhere to be found and nobody seems to know what happened to them- it had a lot of centimental value to us. Aside from that the staff is very kind, service staff is very attentive and our guest as well as ourselves could not have been happier! We wish we could have been able to use more areas of the venue to take pictures with the different backgrounds available as the scenery was beautiful!

When I first started doing research for wedding venues, I found that a lot of places were trying to take advantage of people planning a wedding by overcharging them for little things most people don't even think of at the beginning and also being very inflexible. That is why, when I met Joanne at Braemar and she showed me their all inclusive packages (which includes tax & service charge...amazing!), I had a great feeling about Braemar. She also had a wonderful personality and made me feel like I'd be taken care of there, and that they would be willing to work with me since it was MY day and they weren't just in it for the money. And the next thing that really did it was that my family and I fell in love with the place itself. The location is breathtakingly beautiful and so serene. You feel like you've traveled quite a ways to get there, not just 5 minutes from Ventura Blvd. So that was why we chose Braemar.

During the 5 months of planning that followed, Joanne was easy to get a hold of, answered all my questions, organized a delicious tasting for us, and everything went as planned. I appreciated how flexible they were with us when setting up the reception room - they allowed me to bring in my own rentals, they let us have a band & DJ without any noise restrictions, they allowed dry ice during our first dance which had a beautiful effect... I mean, it was everything I wanted.

We got a ton of compliments from our family about how delicious the food was and what a beautiful location it was. I would definitely recommend Braemar to everyone.

Braemar Country Club was perfect!!! They went above and beyond and were very flexible with any last minute changes!! The views were fabulous! I would highly recommend this place for any bride!

Our wedding day was great! The price was reasonable and there are lots of different options and packages to choose from. We had to get our own music, flowers and photographer but everything else was included in the price...including the cake! Everyone LOVED the food (we got salmon and short ribs).
On the day, all the staff were really helpful and very friendly.
The only negative (and it ends up being a little one now that the wedding is all done) is that it took a little while to get responses when I'd email a few months before the wedding. But then I'd call and it was fine.
Also a few people left things behind after the wedding and I never got a call from them telling us they were holding things for us. They don't have to do that, but it would have been really nice.

Everything was wonderful at the event except felt like there wasn't enough cake to for all the guests that were at the wedding . Will definitely use this venue again for any future events.

Wedding was 10/18/14 and two Brides. Braemar is a beautiful venue and their staff is very friendly. From the beginning we were met with smiles and welcoming attitudes. We dealt mainly with Joanne and Suzy a few times. Both coordinators are very easy to talk with, don't be afraid to ask questions... any question at all. I have to admit, that at first, the narrow dining room is a little off putting but you have to realize the overall potential. We had our ceremony and our reception all onsite. Complete with menu tasting, rehearsal time & pictures on the golf course.

Ceremony: The designated area overlooks the golf course and is paved. Braemar can provide the chairs and arch. Most of our guests gushed over the view. Our ceremony started at 530p and ended at 6p just in time for a cocktail hour complete with sunset. Just beautiful.

Cocktail hour: Guests have to climb some stairs however there is a handicap elevator if needed. We had a bar setup in the room just before the main dining room and the most of our guests grabbed cocktails and stood on the balcony watching the sunset. We had a photobooth and tables setup inside the hallway for gifts and placecards. They also have a tv so you can play a slideshow/video via USB stick.

Reception: First off, what really drew us in about this venue is how updated and modern it looks. A lot of all inclusive venues are a bit outdated and drabby. Braemar has these wonderful white columns (with power outlets), large windows overlooking the course, updated flooring & an overall feeling of elegance. They have a general layout they follow but be careful when placing tables on the far end of the room. It gets a bit tricky but that's the only issue since it's a narrow room. We had a head table with 10ppl.

Overall: Brian our server was absolutely AWESOME! Advice, keep on top of your contract and details, we had to even after our wedding was done. Otherwise with lighting & the right deco this place is amazing.

Great for the money

The venue is absolutely beautiful especially the outside.

Pros:
-Venue Beauty and cleanliness inside and out
-Value
-Delicious food and flexibility if there are allergies
-Dressing and getting ready quarters for both bride and groom
-Free and easy parking
-Attentive event captain and staff
-Wine and cake (which is delicious) is included in most packages.
Cons:
-The inside is starting to get a little outdated (chips in paint, cracks in walls)
-You are only allowed to take pictures in one spot on the golf course
-The main event room was tight for my 80 people (which is a small wedding)
-There can be multiple events there in one day, so people can be walking through while set up is happening.

Overall, we were very pleased with Braemar Country Club. Our wedding reception went off very smoothly and Joanne and her staff were very accommodating to our specific needs and requests. Our only complaint was that it was often difficult to get any response back to e-mails and messages we left in the months leading up to our wedding day.

Christie and the banquet staff made our wedding event flawless and memorable. We had an awesome night and none of it could have been possible without everyone's help and expertise.

They accommodated all our requests, making it easy for our wedding planner to prepare for the event. It was exactly how we had hoped it would be and much more!

Our event was booked with Rebecca Lazaro in Dec 2012. Over 4 months, she gave commendable service. But in Feb 2013, Rebecca abruptly told us she'd be leaving on vacation 2 weeks prior to our wedding and that our event would be coordinated by Joanne Rita.

We initiated a meeting with Joanne a week before the event. Joanne had little knowledge about any details. She had not read our timeline. She also appeared shocked we hadn't hired a coordinator, which Rebecca assured us wouldn't be necessary.

On the day of the event, the banquet captain and staff were utterly uninformed of our instructions. They didn't know which guests would receive which meal. They didn't know dessert would not be served at each table. Instead, the banquet captain repeatedly approached the bride & groom to ask about matters clearly addressed in the timeline.

One table did not receive salads/entrees until others were offered coffee service; in other words, one table was forgotten. Also, guests often had to locate pitchers of water to serve their own table out of a lack of attention from the servers.

The cake-cutting was neglected entirely. Upon discovering it was an hour past due, the bride went into the kitchen to locate the absent banquet captain, who replied “everything is running late and we didn’t know when to do it.”

Lastly, another wedding was being held in the adjacent room. Throughout our event, doors and partitions were left open by the staff. Because of their DJ music, many of our guests were unable to hear our toasts. Both the best man and the matron-of-honor speeches were overwhelmed by obnoxious rap music. Guests repeatedly had to get up to close the partitions/doors.

Had Rebecca or Joanne been more forthcoming, we would've hired a coordinator rather than be forced to handle these matters ourselves. Given the issues, inferior service, and the failure in communication between Joanne and Rebecca, we did not receive the product we'd believed we were purchasing.

We changed venues. They were a beautiful venue and our tasting proved they had good food. But they messed up our reservation and Overbooked. It would have made for a miserable day had we stayed. They're event staff was completely unprofessional and disorganized.
