Best experience!!!

I wanted to give a review for this experience I had. This was my first time getting a Japanese head spa and it was a Whole Experience. It was very relaxing and the service was great and J was amazing. My head feels so much better and not so itchy. I highly recommend. The price was not bad and their are different packages. J was very professional and friendly and was very knowledgeable. 10/10

Felt Beautiful on My Wedding Day!

I am so fortunate to have found MUaH by J! We had a small wedding at our home and I was the only person needing services. Janine quickly responded to my initial inquiry and luckily had availability for my day. She thoroughly explained the process and pricing and I booked a bridal hair and makeup package that included a trial and day of services.

I scheduled my trial for about 6 weeks before my wedding day. I felt immediately comfortable with Janine. I don't typically wear a lot of makeup but do like glamour. She was very patient in asking questions to tease out what I thought I wanted, what I was actually comfortable with and then weaved her magic and created a look that I loved. I really appreciated her checking in the day after the trial to see how the look wore, address any concerns with the products used, see if there was anything I wanted to change, etc. She then sent a couple of reminders as the big day got closer.

The day of she made me feel beautiful! She altered the hair style to make me feel more comfortable and added lots of extra touches; a little extra shimmer here and some gold dust there....I truly felt pampered. When I saw our wedding photos, I could hardly believe it was me….in the best way! I would definitely recommend MUaH by J!

Excellent & Fun

Janine was very pleasant, comfortable, fun & easy to work with. She gave her time to come to the hotel I stayed at. My boyfriend and I enjoyed her presence & chatting (like we knew each other from before, first time meeting her), while she worked on my makeup & hair. Got a lot of compliments @ the ball. Wonderful presence and expertise

Janine was a wonderful presence on the morning of my wedding. I was so confident in her ability that I knew she would make me look wonderful. The time I spent quietly, before all the hubbub, in preparation with her as she did my hair and makeup is still one of the fondest memories I have of my wedding day. I would absolutely recommend her to you! You will be pleased.

Janine and her team were very professional. They were right on time which is always stress reducing, plus we actually finished earlier than anticipated which allowed some relaxing time. I couldn't be more thrilled with my hair and makeup for my wedding, I felt extremely beautiful. Also, my bridesmaid loved their looks too! Thanks Muah for all your hard work!!

I attended a military ball back in May, and scheduled an appointment with Janine for an updo. She did such an amazing job! I was originally thinking that I wanted my hair down, but after talking with Janine about my options, we went with an updo, and I'm so glad we did! My hair stayed in place all night, and I got 3 different compliments on my hair at the ball! Thank you Janine for making me feel pretty!

Janine is fantastic! I live in the UK and booked Janine based in reviews and her responsiveness to my initial query. It was risky as we hadn't met and I was nervous. However, she immediately put me at ease when we met for my trial. Unlike many brides I didn't have a clear view of what I wanted. She was completely flexible and happy to try different styles for both hair and make-up. I then changed my mind again before my wedding and she was great about it. On the day she did hair and make-up for three adults and two flower girls plus hair only for two others. This was a lot to do but Janine never flagged or lost her sense of humour. Everyone looked great and I was really happy with my look. My mother hadn't worn make-up in over 15 years and was worried. Janine put her at ease and she was really happy with the result. I can't recommend her highly enough!

I had never had my make up or my hair done for an event. I was extremely happy with the results. Janine was able to get everything done in the right time frame. She chose the colors for my make up and I felt that it was tasteful and not gaudy. I will definetely use her again.

Janine was absolutely amazing! She made my special day wonderful, and she is not only amazing with both hair and makeup but wonderful to be around and so flexible! I even changed how I wanted my hair the day of and she was so accommodating and did it for me without any questions and it looked amazing! She helped me to feel so beautiful and perfect on our special day and my hair and makeup looked great even after hours of dancing! Janine was amazing, she work around my schedule and was very professional. My makeup was fabulous and I loved my hair. She did exactly what I wanted and made me feel very calm during my special day. Janine was the best. I could not have asked for a more perfect person to do my wedding makeup and hair. I have never looked more beautiful in my life. The prewedding trial ran incredibly smooth and Janine put me at ease. She truly is an artist. Everyone was so impressed with not only my makeup and hair but my mom, mother-in-law, and sister. She has a great personality, and as mentioned her talent just blows me away. I am so thankful she was a part of my perfect day.

Janine is fabulous!
I instantly felt very comfortable with her. She's super flexible and will tell you the truth, provide suggestions, is willing to try out options, look at pictures, etc. on my wedding day, she came to my hotel room and was very accommodating when she was greeted with unsure dogs. She spent some time petting them & making them comfortable with her so they wouldn't be scared or bark. It was amazing!
She's a very thorough makeup artist. She had an eye for detail and wing stop until it's all just the way you want it! I'll definitely be using her again when the need arises in the future!

Unfortunately hair was something I put off until last minute. I had an image in my mind of my waist length hair tucked back in a braid just so, but I was having a hard time finding someone available on Sunday, and capable of doing intricate braids at that! As I was searching desperately, my mom came across Muah by J. Janine was immediately responsive, and worked around my schedule to find a time to trial; keeping in mind my wedding was only a month away at this point! The trial went well, and on my big day, Janine actually came to my home to do my hair. It was a seamless process, and Janine helped to calm my nerves. Everyone loved my hair, and it turned out better than I had hoped. I would have had her do my make up as well, except I'm lucky enough to have a cousin that does makeup for a living. Please talk to Janine about your beauty needs for your big day. She'll get you squared away!

I was able to book Janine relatively last minute, about a month or so before my wedding. She was able to meet with me for a consultation about 2 weeks prior and was really nice and relaxed, and had a lot of helpful suggestions. I really liked being able to pay online with a credit card, as it's hard for me to get out and pay in person during the day. She was great at communicating via e-mail, and she was just as nice and relaxed on the day of the wedding when she was helping with my bridal party's hair and make-up. We all really enjoyed having her there with us, and she even sat and listened to me "vent" a little bit when I was starting to feel stressed out. I would definitely recommend her to another bride!

Janine was very professional ..... I was a nervous wreak, never going to an event like I was attending that evening , I'd never had my hair or makeup done professionally before so I wasn't sure what to expect. When Janine seen my gown that I was going to wear she knew the look she wanted to achieve and by the time she was finished , I was in tears !!! I'd never expected to look as pretty as I did :) !! Janine made my day what I dreamed it would be. She was so personable, and exactly the kind of person you would want near you on your big day. I felt so beautiful, and got amazing compliments on my hair and make-up from friends and family. She really understood my vision, and constantly made sure it was what I had envisioned. She is unbelievably talented, and my hair stayed the whole night! This was so great for thin hair that normally goes flat within an hour. The most important thing was that I still looked like myself... Not overdone! I would recommend her to EVERYONE in my life looking for a hair or makeup artist. This sounds cheesy, but she made me feel so special and cared about which made the day not stressful, but just crazy fun:) I would never go anywhere else!!!

Janine is great. It was a little difficult to schedule a trial because we both have pretty full schedules, but we managed to make it work about two weeks before my wedding. She looked at pictures I had pulled for inspiration and managed to create a hairstyle along those lines but still completely original that I totally loved. She took feedback and made small tweaks on both hair and makeup on the day of, and I couldn't have been happier with the results. My hair stayed put all day, and my makeup looked just as good at the last dance as at the first. Janine is super nice, too, and was great at putting me at ease -- this was my first time getting my makeup professionally done, and I hadn't had an updo in many years. She uses great products that last all day. All told it took a little under two hours to get full makeup and hair done, and she came to my house the day of the wedding, which made it much easier for us! She showed up promptly and stuck to the time allotted perfectly, which kept the day's timeline on track right from the start. I can't say enough good things about working with Janine on my wedding day.

Janine provided beauty/make-up services to my bridesmaids and me for my wedding day. She was wonderful to work with, and I have absolutely no complaints about any aspect of my experience! She really took the time to get to know me, listened to what I had in mind, gave helpful suggestions, and really helped me figure out what kind of "look" I wanted for my wedding. Janine is a consummate professional. She and her assistant were considerate, consciencious, reliable, and very skilled. I could not have been happier with all of our services: my bridal hair and makeup, and makeup for my grandmother, mother, and future mother-in-law. Janine and her lovely assistant are amazing. I had her at my venue the morning of my wedding to do my hair and makeup, along with hair and makeup for my mother, the mother of the groom, and my maid of honor.

They made everything easy and we came out looking gorgeous in our photos and video - definitely worth it to have your hair and makeup done by a professional when you are going to be photographically preserved for posterity! Don't risk doing it yourself, let Janine help you, it takes all of the stress right out of your day!

Janine was great! I am so glad I hired her to do my hair and makeup. She was very willing to try a few different hairstyles to make sure I was happy, and my makeup looked amazing. I usually don't wear makeup, and I have sensitive skin - Janine made me look natural and made sure my skin didn't react badly. We hired Janine to do make-up for a corporate costume party. She responded immediately to our request for information. We had to move our appointment to after hours and she was very flexible with fitting us in.

I had sent a picture of my costume make-up (Queen of Hearts) and that was it. She was prepared when we arrived with the pictures ready, a plan on how to do the make-up, the exact make-up and was quick to get it on.

The result was stunning! I was unrecognizable. She made sure to add extras (some glitter for fun, some sparkle for depth). Janine made sure to spray us so the make-up would last. Gave us tips on how to make the make-up last and prior to appointment had advised us on what we may need to keep up our look. (For me, red lipstick). Janine really knows her art!

I would recommend Janine for make-up to anyone (not just costume but wedding as well). I know next year we will be booking her again for our corporate costume party!

Our company holds a costume party at our annual kickoff, and the instructions are to 'bring it'. This year's theme was Heros and Villains. I found a Maleficent costume and needed theater-style makeup to really pull it off. I found Janine through an online search and was so impressed with her portfolio. I emailed her immediately and shared my plans. After a few questions about how theatrical I wanted to take it, we settled on a look. I was blown away by the detail work. The appointment took approximately an hour and the results were downright startling. I have never looked so good in my life! My makeup lasted the entire evening, and was the talk of the party. She's an amazing artist and a wonderful spirit. The detail work on my look was just incredible.

Janine did an AMAZING job and made getting ready for my wedding seamless and stress free. She came right to my hotel room to do makeup on-site, which was hugely helpful on such a busy day. And she listened to and executed my vision perfectly, all you have to do is tell Janine the look you'd like and she'll make it happen! I can't thank her enough for helping to make my wedding day just perfect, she made sure I would stay photo-ready for the entire evening. I highly recommend her services to all brides!

Janine is wonderful. She's professional, reliable, a great listener, creative, and has a laid-back, easygoing way about her. My MOH and I had a lovely, relaxing morning getting to know her while she made us look beautiful. She was even kind enough to stay and help my mother get me laced into my corseted gown, which my mom was very nervous about. It was a relief for both of us that she didn't have to do it alone, and Janine did a lovely job of guiding her through it and helping her relax. My MOH and I received many compliments on our hair and makeup, and it even held up well in the rain (which got pretty hard at times). My coordinator was so impressed by the makeup in particular that she asked for Janine's card so she could make future referrals. I highly recommend Janine and Muah By J for any hair and makeup needs you might have. You'll be delighted by her artistry, and you'll enjoy her company too!

I am so happy I used Janine for my bridal hair and makeup! She was extremely knowledgeable and professional. I love the way I looked on my wedding day. I am so thankful I found Janine to do my hair and makeup. After trying to get in touch with a few others (I was planning a wedding from 6 hours away) were proving to be impossible. Janine was easy to get in touch with and kept in touch through MULTIPLE emails and she was incredibly professional. Just the ease of this alone made her worth every penny. Now onto the actual hair and makeup :) She was so patient with me (as I am a very picky hair person and don’t really do anything fancy) and redid portions that I was bothered by and didn’t make me feel like I was being absurd. She also did my make up in "phases" to where she put just the basic on and then I could ask for more (instead of getting a ton of makeup applied and not liking it). She was so able to cooperate with me wanting a natural makeup and natural hairstyle and she put just enough to make my photos look amazing and make me feel confident.

Janine is about as good as they come. Worked with my daughter and found out what SHE wanted to do with her hair and the makeover needed for the party that night with daddy. When my daughter walked out she was grinning from ear to ear and still today, is very proud of how she looked at the party with daddy that night. Janine was amazing, not only is she funny and fun to work with but she is in-fact and artist. Anal with her own work, if it isn't perfect or if she isn't "loving it" it doesn't stay. I had my wedding in the butterfly pavilion in Denver, which is very warm and humid, my hair stayed put and curled and my makeup looked perfect even after crying like a little school girl. She uses almost all MAC makeup and custom blends colors to perfectly match your face or the style you are looking for. She is very reasonably priced especially with how she delivers. She does a free trial run at her salon, but the day of the wedding she goes all out, my jaw and my fiances jaw hit the floor when I walked down the isle. She also does an amazing job with color and cuts on hair as well and I will continue to go to her and would recommend her to anyone that wants to look beautiful for any special occasion.

Janine was AMAZING! I emailed a few people and Janie was by FAR the most responsive and professional hair/makeup artist I found. Not to mention her pricing blew the competitors out of the water. She was so flexible in making appointments for some pre-wedding hair help as well as our trial and day-of services. The fact that she traveled on-site the day of the wedding was so helpful. She never batted an eye when the room suddenly filled with 7+ bridesmaids, moms, dads...etc. She just kept trecking and had me done right on schedule---Looking awesome I might add. She listened to my wants and needs at the trial and asked for permission to put her own spin on things regarding my hair and it was MORE then I would have ever dreamed of myself. She is truly talented, so nice and a wonderful person to spend your time with on the most important morning of your life! Thanks for everything Janine!

Janine did a fantastic job with my makeup and my bridesmaids hair. Everything was very natural-looking, which is important to me because I'm not a big makeup person on a regular day. Janine did an awesome job. I loved my hair and makeup and felt beautiful and confident on my wedding day. I got SO many compliments. I met Janine for the first time at the day of my hair and makeup trial (about 2 weeks before my wedding). I brought in some photos of what I thought I wanted my hair to look like. She did exactly what I wanted. However, later that day I realized that I might like to try something different on the day of my wedding. I was a bit nervous about changing my mind when I wouldn't have another chance for another trial appoinment. I emailed Janine and shared my thoughts and she said that we could tweak things the day of the wedding. She made me feel so confident and didn't seem to mind the change in plans. On the day of my wedding I was a bit nervous and wanted to look my best ... and Janine made that happen! My makeup lasted all day and night and she did up my hair just the way I was envisioning. She is a GEM and I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone looking for an awesome fun stylist. I booked Janine last minute for my wedding and she was very accommodating and responsive. She did a great job on my hair and makeup and it lasted all day. I wanted something very simple and natural-looking and she did exactly what I wanted and made sure I was happy with my look. She was also very affordable. Other salons in the area charged at least $100 more for the same service. Her price included a trial AND travel to the site of the wedding. She's also really fun and friendly. I would definitely recommend her service to others.

Janine was awesome I would recommend her to ANYONE and EVERYONE. She was reasonably priced which was a plus for me as we were on a tight budget she has amazing communication we emailed back and forth and she was prompt at getting back to me she was completely understanding of my situation when I had to cancel the trial and postponed the wedding but than it was back on cause family made it safely and another big factor for me was she came to me at my home so there was no running around like we had been doing all morning. Janine was amazing! She was so friendly and excited and my whole family loved having her around. She did a test run the week before so we could figure everything out and was willing to change anything if I didn't love it. On the day of our wedding, she was on time and very professional. the woman is AMAZING!! i've got about 10 feet of hair and somehow she was able to make me look like a girl from the WWII era! i absolutely LOVED it!! They did the most amazing job on my hair and makeup, and on my bridesmaid's hair, as well. I was an out-of-state bride, and she worked with me to make it so low stress, and she was always willing to listen to my input and mold my look. Janine was very easy and fun to work with. Once I was in contact with her everything was easy and she always responding right away. She had no problems with the travel to my event location and made it very easy for me and my girls. Our makeup looked amazing and she did everything we asked. I currently live out of state and was trying to find someone for hair and makeup that was local to the Colorado Springs area where my wedding was. Additionally, after my previous vendor fell through I only had 5 weeks before my wedding and wasn't going to be back in Colorado prior to my wedding weekend. I searched online and based on other reviews reached out to Janine. She was extremely calm, professional and flexible. She helped me even set up a time to meet and do a trial the day before my wedding, something that could have been really stressful. Janine is a blast and helped me relax on my wedding day. The bridal party felt as ease and Janine and her assistant provided exactly what we wanted. I had a bad experience with my previous stylist going AWOL and Janine picked me up very last minute. She had tons of advice leading up to the day as well to help with my skin. Janine was wonderful to work with. I had to book her without meeting her as I live in CA, but was getting married in CO. She responded to my emails promptly, and made me feel at ease with her confident professionalism. After booking her and signing the contract, I realized I was going to need her to come earlier than planned in order to be ready on time. Janine was so amazingly flexible and was able to quickly arrange coming earlier to accommodate my needs. She allotted a certain amount of time on the day of, but everyone was done early, which provided my bridal party and me a little time to relax. My hair and makeup looked amazing. My curls fell slightly (through no fault of Janine's- my hair refuses to stay curled!) but the part she pinned stayed firmly in place all night. I would recommend Janine to anyone looking for wedding hair and makeup and will use her again, should the need arise.

Janine was friendly and great to be around. My makeup was my absolute favorite! It looked beautiful. I had no idea what I wanted to do for my makeup and I was very pleased with how it turned out! It looked beautiful and my pictures came out wonderful! My hair was done in nice curls that seemed to last quite well throughout the entire day's commotion!

I have had Janine do my hair and makeup for a few fun photo shoots and loved the experience. She made me feel extremely comfortable and made it a very light and fun experience while keeping it very professional. I would not hesitate to ask her to do it again. She has also done my hair and nails just for maintenance, you could say, for over 2 years. I will not go to anyone else for either ever again.
Janine Navarro is fantastic at what she does. I have not gone to anyone else for hair or nails since the first time I went to Janine in Fall of 2009. Every time I have gone to Janine, she has asked for a very detailed description of what I was looking for and has delivered perfectly, if not beyond my expectations.
She goes to every effort to assure that her clients are comfortable and relaxed and makes sure their experience with her is extremely enjoyable even if they are only seeing her one time.

Janine has a passion and extreme talent for what she does and it shows in the quality of her work. The results will always be better when a person loves their work and Janine Navarro definitely loves her work.

I was only able to rate value and flexibility a 4 instead of 5 due to the following:
Value--I've always gone to "value salons" for hair, so to me, it seems expensive to go to a private agent but compared to others, she is very fairly priced.
Flexibility--this is only because she has another job and a family as well as the MUaH business so she has a very busy schedule. However, I know that family comes first so I have no issues waiting for 2 weeks to see Janine if she has nights available but chooses to spend them with family.

Janine, is an awesome person, she clearly cares for her customers and goes above and beyond expectations in making sure your special day runs smoothly. I would have given her 5 stars but for some reason the stars wouldn't let me. I had 8 bridesmaids, two mother's, one flower girl and myself in the wedding party, and we were completely ready for show time. She showed up at the time promised, and was packed up and ready to leave once the ceremony was almost ready to begin. Not to mention she drove 2.5 hours out to my venue at the Mt. Princeton Hot Springs Resort. I have been going to see Janine for over a year now since the wedding shenanigans began and now she is also my favorite person to have dye my hair and work with all of my crazy antics. The hair was on point, as well as the makeup and knowing you have someone looking out for you is the best feeling in the world. Coming from a bride! If you are trying to find someone that is calm and won't add to the stress of your day here she is :)

Janine was pretty easy to work with, very easy to talk to in person and communicate with via email during the planning process. Myself (bride) as well as my Mom had hair and makeup done, which turned out great!

Janine was great and will work with you to achieve the look that you want. Also, if you have a difficult wedding party of women, Janine knows how to set them straight. She does not get intimidated and is very professional.

Timely, professional behavior, not the best at thick hair (my sisters and I have hair that is fine and super dense, about x3 the normal amount, so most won't have this issue) and my sister had to redo much of her makeup afterward to correct evenness on her eyes. Great at thinner hair, my niece was well taken care of, despite having hacked part of her hair off a week before the wedding.
