We arrived in Las Vegas on the same day as our event, after a roughly 10-hour drive from California. At 6:00 AM, I was in a panic trying to find a hair and makeup appointment for my 10th year Wedding Renewal of Vows ceremony, scheduled for 4:00 PM. Luckily, I found MSTUDIO. After a long night with little sleep, I sent a quick text to the number I found online and went to sleep. To my delight, when I woke up, I had a response and was able to book an appointment on such short notice.
The studio was easy to find, only seven minutes away from the Las Vegas Strip. Mengsi was truly a lucky find. Despite the last-minute request, I felt like I had found the best. Her expertise and professionalism were top-notch. I let her decide how to make me look beautiful, and she delivered! The makeup was natural yet enhanced, to the point where my Face ID didn’t recognize me. It felt like magic!
I have thin hair, but the techniques she used created the illusion of more volume without any extensions. Her studio is a one-stop shop for all bridal needs, offering beautiful wedding gowns and a variety of headpieces all in one place. The session with Mengsi wrapped up around 1:45 PM, just in time for our Renewal of Vows at 4:00 PM.
Afterward, we headed to the Wynn for a dinner buffet and then rushed to catch the Backstreet Boys concert at The Sphere. The makeup lasted until 12:52 AM, to be exact, when I finally decided to wash my face and call it a night.
Thank you, Mengsi, for responding to my text and agreeing to be my hair and makeup artist on my very special day. I felt like a princess, and you were my fairy godmother—real and not just a character from a bedtime story. I hope other girls get to experience your magic on their special days as well! -

I rarely write online reviews. But I will make an exception for Mstudio because Mengsi helped me realize my vision on my wedding day: A natural look that enhances my features and fits well with the spectacular setting at the Red Rock Canyon! Her insightful knowledge and masterful skills made it smooth and pleasant both for the preparation in advance and the transformation on my big day. I would highly recommend her! -

Mengsi is an amazing artist and very responsive. I was looking for a make up artist that specializes in Asian make up. I am not a fan of the glam make up that western style make up artists use. I wanted more subtle and elegant make up. Mengsi is very experienced in this field and made me feel very comfortable. I had an emergency the night before my wedding and she responded to my text even at 11 pm. She truly cares about making you look beautiful and addressing any worries you have as a bride. I strongly recommend the trial as well. I was so impressed by her skills that I am even considering taking one of her make up classes! -

Mengsi is a glam wizard!
Mengsi exceeded our expectations and provided the utmost professional and high quality service. She understands the different features of Asian faces and how to accentuate them. She only uses top of the line products. She manages her and our time well by getting set up, providing hair and makeup and getting packed up all within her quoted timeframe leaving me extra time to put myself in my dress.
My mother is not an easy person to please so I was ecstatic when she could not stop saying how beautiful of a job Mengsi did for all of us. Mengsi applied eyelid fold tape in a way that looked natural and not botched like I have seen on myself in the past. She did so well my mother is now pressuring me to get the eyelid surgery lol.
1000% would recommend. -

I chose Mstudio for my wedding registration/ceremony in Las Vegas. The communication before and during the service has been super easy and straightforward. Ms is really good at doing makeup and hair that is tailored to your facial contour (I was 5 months pregnant, MS did an amazing job on contouring). I am also super satisfied with my overall look, the makeup and hair were durable for the entire day. -

She is the best!
Mstudio with owner Mengsi was such a joy to have at the wedding. She helped me look stunning and had beautiful hair pieces that brought the whole outfit together. Her attention to detail and her enthusiasm for her work really shows. I highly recommend her for Asian hair and makeup as it is hard to come by in Las Vegas. -

Very satisfied the Asian style makeup
She has excellent skills, and made me so beautiful. Very good makeup and hair style are what I really want Chinese style!
Two things need to be improved:
1. Half of my right eyebrow was not shaved well. Even though you cannot notice it after her good make up skills.
2. The hair is very beautiful on the front and sides, but the shape is weird on the back. (see figs) -

Honestly I did not put that much thought into how my husband's makeup would look next to mine when I said I wanted a clean Asian bridal makeup. My husband wanted smoky eyes to fit his pirate costume, and so Mengsi suggested that I add some smokiness to my eye makeup as well to better complement his looks. Obviously that turned out great both in and out of our photos; we are in the same genre and our costumes made a lot more sense with the looks! I especially love how easy she is to communicate and how thorough she is when doing my face and hair. She braided one side of my head and suggested hair extensions so I get the volume and messiness (but at the same time still clean and formal looking) I wanted for my hair! Thank you so much! -

My wife and I had our make-up and hair both done here, and have nothing but praise for them. They were very accommodating with the time, as we got there around 6AM to get ready for an early ceremony. They were very polite and helped decide on style and direction for both of us. It turned out very well and we were very happy with our appearances. They are very knowledgeable and have a wide variety of techniques for all the popular styles. Would very much recommend their services. -

BEST Makeup Ever!
Mengsi did my makeup for my marriage certificate ceremony and she is AWESOME! I’ve never done such a beautiful makeup before. The techniques she employs are professional and innovative. The makeup was blended so well that it looks pretty not only on photos but also in real life. There’re also numerous details that Mengsi applied to help shape my face and make my eyes looked brighter.
Besides, she only uses the best products from Tom Ford, NARS, Charlotte Tilbury, YSL, Lancome, etc. My skin looks flawless all day and night long.
Mengsi is also a hair artist. She listened to my need carefully and helped determine the best hair style. The outcome is definitely beyond my expectation!
If you have the chance to book her, do it! -

Thank you very much, Meng Si and Debbie, for the wedding makeup for me! Meng Si adopted an innovative Japanese design, which fits my personal style very well. Both my parents and husband think this is the best makeup I have ever had! The studio environment is also very clean and sanitary and overall feels very comfortable. I've spent a pleasant morning with Mengsi and Debbie. Remember to make an appointment before coming over, and their responding speed is very fast and efficient. It is highly recommended that all Asian brides in need come here to have makeup done by those two artists. The Asian style is very elegant and suitable for most facial shapes! I originally had a make-up trial elsewhere and my face felt so cake-y and I just did not feel I looked like myself. I booked a make-up trial with Mengsi after and she immediately made me feel so at ease. She is very thorough and you can tell she really cares about her work! My make-up felt very natural and it still also looked good in the photos! She is also very professional and so nice! Would definitely recommend! -

Best Natural Make-up Artist in Town
I did both my engagement and wedding makeup and hair through Mstudio. She is very professional, she listens what I want and communicates with me very well before she starts her work. My makeup was very natural and light, so I didn't feel cakey and didn't even need touch up (although I changed my lipstick color and hsir style because of dress change), but it still made me look great for the camera. My hair was great as well. If you're looking for a great natural and lasting makeup, I would definitely recommend her to everyone. I am so thankful to have her to do my makeup and hair on my big day! -

If you’re looking for a Asian maker up and hair design for weeding, I highly recommend Mstudio. She saved my big day!!! The makeup is very natural and elegant. Mengsi did a phenomenal job for me and my bridesmaids on my wedding day. We had 6 people total and she started early to make sure we were ready on time. She researched and spoke to all of my bridal party prior to my wedding to nail down which hairstyles my girls preferred, which was incredibly thoughtful. I really appreciate that Mengsi is a pefectionist and she will get all the details on point and make sure the makeup and hair stay the same the whole day. I have monolids that usually cannot hold false eyelashes and I typically prefer darker and smokey eye makeup, and she was able to create a look that I loved with eyelashes that looked natural and beautiful! Oftentimes when I have gotten professional makeup done, I could feel the makeup caked and layered on my face, but Mengsi created makeup for my skin that was fresh and natural. I would highly recommend her! -

I asked Mengsi to do my hair and makeup twice, because the wedding picture and the wedding ceremony are on different days. She tried her best to accommodate my time preference and do everything she can to make me satisfy with the final look. She’s very professional not only for her professional makeup skill, but also she gets well prepared the night before the makeup, by sending me pictures of hair styles and asking for my opinion. She never show up late to do my makeup. She is a good listener and give respect to my opinions. She is very outgoing, and it was fun talking to her.
I have very sensitive and dry skin. Before she did my makeup, she asked me about my skin and hair condition. My skin did not have any allergy reaction to her makeup products during and after the makeup. Also, it surprised me and my family that the makeup and the hair style lasted 9 hours. I’m appreciate to her help and hard-works.
She spent about 3 hours on both days to do my makeup and hair. I am very happy with the result, as well as my friends and family. I looked very nice on my wedding day and the pictures are turn out very nice, too. I got a lot admires from my friends and family, they all think Mengsi did a great job.
I would recommend her to everyone I know. If you are looking for a high quality makeup artist, she is a good choice! -

As an Asian bride, it took me a while to find the right bridal makeup artist in this town. I’ve tried different vendors for trials, but all ended up very cakey (thick) and generally speaking, they have different interpretations on how to “work” with asian eyes. Makeups I tried might look ok in only certain angles, but in real life I did not want to stand across from my now husband at the altar because I felt uncomfortable of wearing too much makeup. Meanwhile, I found Mengsi as a very detail-oriented & perfectionist makeup & hair stylist. She practices on her own to understand bride’s wedding style, bride’s hair thickness and strength, or how to create this perfect style by working & trying with different accessories. For my wedding day makeup, I was still me, but the prettiest version 🙌🏻✨ And of course my husband kept saying my makeup was flawlessly beautiful (all that it matters, right?) I was so confident and comfortable throughout the day, and NOTHING got smudged after tears and sweats from the reception! I’ve also personally worked with Mengsi with other projects for my business purpose, she works SO BEAUTIFULLY with non-asian makeups as well. Natural makeup look!
Mengsi did my friend's wedding looks, and I fell in love with her makeup style immediately! It is very natural looking, very light weight. I booked with her for my own wedding day, and because we are located in two different cities, it is a bit hard to arrange for trying out different makeup looks and hair styles to match with my gowns and dresses. But it all went well eventually, I booked with her 3 months early and settled my makeup looks and hair styles with Mengsi in her studio during my bachelorette party in Las Vegas. She also has wedding gowns and dresses for rental, including hair accessories. She came a day early to Irvine to go over details with me and finalized on the makeup looks and styles, very professional and caring of her clients! The makeup look she did for me got many compliments, and it lasted the whole day, no smudging, no caking, very natural and lightweight. She also gave me very good advice on daily makeup looks, and how to keep it long lasting. I am thankful to have her to do my makeup and hair on my big day! -

I did both my engagement photo and wedding makeup and hair through Mstudio. This place is amazing!!! Mengsi (the owner and the artist) is very professional and she listened what I want. She listens what you want and communicates with you very well before she starts her work. Everything was exactly how I pictured, my makeup was very natural and my hair was great. Most importantly my make up and hair lasted all day(over 8 hours) on my wedding day. I’m so lucky that I found her as my makeup artist. I would definitely recommend her to everyone. Plus, she also has grown rental service in her studio. -

Great comfortable natural makeup - especially if you're Asian
Mengsi did a great job on my makeup. If you're looking for a great natural and lasting makeup, she's the one you want! I didn't feel cakey at all and didn't even need touch up after 5-6 hours (although I changed my lipstick color because of wardrobe change). Because the makeup was so light, it didn't crack, but it still made me look great for the camera.
I also definitely felt she was able to match my Asian skin tone really well. My bridesmaids were done by another makeup artist and I felt they were made way too bronze and they were cakey, which did cause some cracking after a couple hours. -

Based on a recommendation from a friend, we hired Mengsi 12 months before our wedding. However, 6 months before our wedding, we moved to Seattle for a new job and decided to have our wedding over there. Mengsi was extremely reliable and flew up to Seattle to meet our needs. She created a list of questions she needed me and the wife to decide on before our wedding date and made our experience really stress free especially with everything else we needed to worry about. To emphasize her dedication, we had a brunch wedding and had to have everything ready by 10:30 a.m. In order to meet that time, Mengsi met with my wife promptly at the venue at 5 a.m to take care of our needs. Will definitely recommend to a friend.
