    Maria Harris is an awesome lady to work with with such talent and experience baking and designing cakes! She really knows how to provide exactly what you are looking for and able to offer various suggestions and a variety of options! She and her husband are sooo sweet and overall great people to work with! Highly recommend Mrs. Vingerber’s Sweets!

    Soooo delicious and pretty!

    Our guests would not stop raving about how good our wedding cake was! We made up our own flavors and they turned out delicious! The cake was also beautiful! We even got a boxed additional cake topper to take home for our one year anniversary. Maria is very fun, sweet and easy to work with! She was quick to give us a tasting before making a decision. Thank you!!!

    25th Wedding Vow Renewal

    The cupcakes were delicious! We wanted simple cupcakes with a beach theme. The white chocolate shells were so good. We stashed some cupcakes for my husband and I to eat the next day, they were still so fresh!

    I couldn't stop thinking about how amazing the cake was going to be and I cannot wait for my first anniversary so we can enjoy it again! It was beautiful on the inside and out and so SO delicious! She was more than happy to meet with us for a cake tasting and communicate back and forth until we were on the same page. Highly recommend her services! Will hopefully be able to use her again!

    Maria did a beautiful job with my son's cake and cupcakes, everything was perfectly displayed and delicious. Can't recommend her enough, and she's as sweet as her cakes!

    Maria communicated with us frequently and when our guest list unexpectedly increased in size for our Emerald Isle destination wedding, she offered more suggestions on the cake. The cake she made for our wedding was not only beautiful, it was obviously delicious as we only had a few pieces left! She created a beach themed cake with "sand" seashells, starfish, and even provided a beautiful cake stand and beach themed topper.

    My children ordered my Birthday Cake from Mrs Harris. It was a three tier almond flavored cake decorated with beautiful sea shells. It was the best cake I have ever had anywhere. Not only was it beautiful but delicious I would recommend her yo anyone needing a cake if any kind.

    We had a three layer chocolate cake with chocolate mouse and byttercream icing it wad amazing. The detail of the shells and silver pearls were perefect!

    My husband and I were beyond thrilled by our wedding cake from Mrs. Vingerber. We live out of town, and it's always nerve-wracking to try to choose anything food related when you won't actually get to taste it! But when we saw the beautiful cakes on her website, we knew that she was the baker for us. Not only did the create a beautiful looking tower of white shells, perfect for our beach wedding, she made one of the most delicious cakes I've ever had. Everyone has had the experience of getting a beautiful slice of wedding cake, only to discover that it's dry and tasteless. Not so with Mrs. VIngerber - it was so delicious, we all happily went back for seconds! Thank you for creating what turned out to be the decadent centerpiece for our wedding.

    Maria was wonderful to work with! We had a dessert bar for our wedding and a cake topper so we could keep the traditional cake cutting ceremony. Everything tasted wonderful and looked extremely beautiful!

    The cake was beautiful tasted amazing!! it was a big hit and the fact that it was two different flavors for no extra cost was great!!

    My son and his fiancée decided to move their wedding date up, and from OH to NC last spring. We had 6 weeks to pull off a wedding. Mrs. Vingerber was most responsive and a delight to work with during this time. Since my son is a drummer the cake had to be a drum. She did an awesome job and the cake absolutely melt in your mouth!     Well worth the money, though the cake was much less money than I expected. Marie makes wonderful cakes fresh the day before. Our cake was gorgeous and delicious!

    Best Cake Ever!

    Maria was warm and easy to work with. Our cake tasted amazing and it was positively beautiful! I cried happy tears when I saw it.

    We used Maria Harris of Mrs. Vingerber's Sweets and would definitely recommend her services! We got almond with raspberry filling and buttercream icing and it was INCREDIBLY delicious! I don't think I've had better wedding cake!! I rated lower on value only because for the amount of servings and the difficulty of decoration, the pricing was on the higher end but we DID receive a flavorful, moist cake and the appearance was very pretty! So thanks Maria!!

    We loved the desert bar we had at our wedding. Her sweets are amazing. This is a VERY small company and things are done informally. I was worried about the lack of contract and delay in receiving responses to my emails, but she arrived on-time with everything requested (including a peanut-free item for one of the guests). We'd use her again!

    While it was sometimes very hard to get up with her, I am so glad I chose her for my cake. The cake was delicious and it was absolutely gorgeous. I can't believe how great it looked and am so please with the design.

    Not Impressed...Disappointed

    I ordered a cake in May for my July wedding. The one sample I asked for she said she would bring she did not. Terrible at responding to messages. Didn't send a contract until 5 days before the wedding but was contacted repeatedly for confirmation and a contract. Set it up all wrong on the table at the reception and then my cake was leaning so bad that it was a joke among guests if we would be able to eat it before it fell over. Would never order from her again.

    Did not do what we ask for!! Cake was no good!!

    Maria was very nice when we met. I though we communicated well and she understood what we wanted everything to look like! Unfortunately things were horrible. She didn’t bring the product needed for our initials in the sand look. Luckily I had bought some or that wouldn’t have been there. We really didn’t even want a cake but ordered a small one so we could “cut” a cake! We really were focused on the cupcakes. Well she decorated the littles cakes well with shells and beach themed decorations!! I ask for the cupcakes to have shells and other beach themed decorations. Well she sprinkled some orange crap on one, put a few hard as a rock pearls on one and squirted some chocolate syrup on some!! She didn’t put the fillings in the cupcakes we ask for except one she squirted some buttercream icing down the middle!!! They looked and tasted horrible!! This lady doesn’t do anything you ask. She does what she wants!! She said she would call before the wedding to go everything well that never happened either!!! I would not hire her unless your ok with her doing what she feels like doing when making your wedding cake!!! She was the only vender I had that messed up and boy did she ever!! I wouldn’t have her make a cake for worst enemy!! Not even they deserve her service or eating her food!!

    Unprofessional

    I have sent Maria Harris owner of Mrs. Vingerbers Sweets multiple emails and messages requesting a refund or credit for my wedding cake due to my wedding being cancelled at Emerald Isle due to the pandemic. She has ignored all my messages and emails while continuing to post pictures on FB of her work. I sent emails to her well in advance. I do not recommend her if you are wanting someone professional.

    First thing first. I will put a check in the mail today for $127.91. The $100.00 dollars
    Is a Non Refundable fee as stated in the contract. It has only been 11 days since the scheduled event.

    You placed your order on January 30,2020 and I didn’t receive any type of payment until after March 2, 2020. (32 days later) I kept you on the calendar and did not harass you about a deposit at any time. You contacted me on March 23, 2020 to cancel the wedding 11 days prior to the event.

    In the signed contract, it states that cancellation at least 60 days prior to the event is required. After that no refunds.

    Since this has been a pandemic, I have been very busy rescheduling the events that needed to be changed. There was a urgent need to deal with these events first. I also wanted to be in contact with my CPA to get him all of the cancellation documents so I would know how to move forward with refunds. No one knew what the red tape would be for small businesses. I am a corporation and some times this has more and different red tape from the State and Federal stand point.

    Out of the 50 brides I have on the books for this year you have been the most impatient and entitled. This has been a very difficult time for small businesses and people everywhere. Hopefully you are not as impacted as others have been.
