My husband and I first visited The Moxi a few years ago for a company holiday party, and from that day on we knew that we wanted to get married there! We do not have enough amazing things to say about The Moxi staff, and Jennifer specifically, who made the entire planning and logistic process an absolute breeze and worked arm and arm with our planner to make sure that everything was exactly what we wanted! The wedding was the most beautiful thing we could have ever imagined, and Jennifer and team made that possible. If you are looking for an incredibly unique venue, beautiful, and special with the best views of Santa Barbara - look no further than The Moxi!

Fun, interactive, gorgeous view - all adjectives that make this wedding venue unique. Wonderfully supportive staff that were there for us from when the first vendor showed up at noon to when the lights were turned off at midnight. Our guests were so impressed with everything they saw and experienced.

We hosted our welcome party for our wedding at the Moxi. Riley was responsive, flexible and very helpful in executing our ideas! The Moxi rooftop is BEAUTIFUL at sunset and has plenty of room for food stations and a band. We are so glad we got to host our event here!

MOXI fit our vibe perfectly, and is walking distance to a bunch of hotels with beautiful view of mountains and ocean. The whole staff was above and beyond and our venue coordinator Riley knocked it out of the park! We felt very taken care of and our guests loved playing with the hands-on exhibits during cocktail hour. The rooftop was gorgeous for ceremony and reception and at night the dance floor looked ethereal! Such a great new venue and I hope more couples put this on their must-see list!

What an incredible night at the MOXI! Our guests had so much fun during the cocktail hour exploring the interactive exhibits and all levels of the museum. Dinner at sunset and dancing on the rooftop were out-of-this-world, and the 360-degree ocean/mountain views were an amazing backdrop for photos. Elly and the staff were so helpful and made everything seamless and an experience we doubt our guests will ever forget!

Working with Elly was a pleasure. She was very professional, kind, and informative. This is a very beautiful unique venue with lots of space. Looking forward to working there many many more times in the future.

We are honored to be the first caterer to cater the first wedding at this venue. Bringing in our own rentals really made the process much easier abide by all the venue rules. Elly was amazing to work with, guiding us though the process. All and all a great venue for any occasion

Just do it! Amazing venue and extremely reasonable. You will not find a better value for a rooftop wedding. Plus it's breathtaking. The staff is amazing. Remember you need to rent everything from tables and chairs to lighting and sound. An all inclusive vendor for rentals and food made everything seamless. I used Pierre catering and the moxi's required electrical company. If I had to do it again, I would not change a thing!

We hosted our wedding at the MOXI Museum in September 2021 and cannot speak more highly of this venue. We had 200 guests, which is on the larger size for this venue, but everything went off really smoothly. The team at the MOXI is excellent and they were incredibly helpful with all the logistics and planning for the day. Since it's a museum, you have to bring in a complete build and there are a lot of constant moving parts, but with the help of a good planner, the team at the MOXI makes it all happen. The rooftop deck was a stunning backdrop for both our ceremony and reception with views of the mountains and the ocean. The lightup glass dance floor under string lights was especially a hit as it got dark outside! Our guests loved cocktail hour inside the museum where they could interact with the fun games and exhibits. We signed up for the candle making class option during our happy hour and used their retro typewriters as our guest book. The customizable hand print globe and entryway screens were a special, personalized touch. We loved the flexibility of bringing in everything custom that we wanted without restriction, including the food and beverages, which also helped us save a lot of money. It's truly a unique wedding venue that stands out from your typical hotel or country club ballrooms. If you're looking for a fun, modern, and unique wedding venue in Santa Barbara, the MOXI is the best!

My husband and I got married at the Moxi in November and it turned out amazing! The view on the rooftop was definitely one of the things that sold us. You can see both the mountains and the ocean, and the views were gorgeous for our wedding which took place at sunset. Another thing that led us to choose the Moxi was how unique the museum exhibits were. Our guests went to the second floor for cocktail hour and could play with the exhibits then, and it was also open for the remainder of the wedding after dinner and they had a blast! The games were so fun and it was such an awesome space (we had a dancing area there too for our "after party" from 10:00-11:00). We had many guests tell us and our families that it was the most fun wedding they had ever been to. The only thing that did make planning a little tricky was that we were not able to take pictures with our entire bridal party at the Moxi before the wedding because they were not able to close down the museum that day (though this may be an option a different day/time of year.) We did get some couple photos in at the museum with the time we had. Aside from this, we loved having our wedding here and can't say enough good things! Katie, who runs events, and her team were very helpful throughout the whole process- they were always kind and quick to respond to e-mails. We also came up several times from Los Angeles with our families or to meet with vendors to plan and they always met us if they could and were super accommodating. We loved our wedding and highly recommend the Moxi enough for a unique, fun and awesome experience!

We booked the MOXI, The Wolf Museum of Exploration + Innovation for our Labor Day Weekend 2019 wedding for 230 guests. With the groom from the Bay Area, and the bride (myself) from SoCal, it was important to find a venue that was central to both families, but worth the mini-destination trip.

Upon our venue search appointment to the MOXI, The Wolf Museum of Exploration + Innovation, we immediately fell in love. Between the beachside location, funky design, and interactive exhibits, we knew this was the venue for us. Also, as a retired dancer, I knew the unique dance floor would be a hit with our guests, and the perfect location for a surprise dance performance. I was excited envisioning amazing drone shots from our photo/videographer (justinelement.com). We instantly booked.

Our planning process was also extremely smooth given the support of the MOXI team and my planner (chiellabrate.com) leading up to the event. We had fun getting creative with the flow of our event and the layout of the space. We appreciated that they also had a list of trusted vendors who were familiar with the venue, which can be stressful if you don’t know where to start. Katie and Riley were super attentive every step of the way, and helped to keep us on track with various to-dos and reminders.

Riley was our POC throughout the weekend, from our rehearsal through the wedding. She was very accomodating and patient (which is especially comforting for any anxious bride). The entire MOXI, The Wolf Museum of Exploration + Innovation staff was kind and helpful, and they didn’t bat an eye with any requests or spills -- which, let’s face it, happened! Riley also went above and beyond to ensure strike out was efficient and thorough.

It’s true when they say that your wedding is one of the best days of your life. This was especially true given that we booked the MOXI, The Wolf Museum of Exploration + Innovation. Our guests all had a great time and raved about the uniqueness of the event. Hosting our wedding here far exceeded our expectations, beyond what we had envisioned from that first visit. We are fulfilled with amazing memories at the MOXI, The Wolf Museum of Exploration + Innovation and look forward to holding this space in a special place in our hearts :) Highly recommend!

Ideal venue for Santa Barbara outdoor wedding. We loved having our guests be able to have hands on experience and explore the museum throughout cocktail hour & our wedding. We also were set on not having a 10pm curfew as most venues around have and so the 12am time did not limit or shorten our wedding!
