We will treasure our video forever

Trust me, hire Marc and his team. My husband and I are SO happy we made the investment in Moving Pictures for our wedding weekend (rehearsal dinner and wedding day). The video(s) that came out of it captured our wedding perfectly and they are something we will treasure forever. Marc's team was professional, communicative and a joy to work with. Emily, the editor, did a phenomenal job in crafting the most joyous, emotion-filled video. I can't wait to show it to our kids one day!

Masters of Their Craft

Having Moving Pictures capture our wedding day was honestly one of the best decisions we made about our wedding. When you spend so much time, money, and energy on a single day, it's something that you'd want to experience more than once, and that's exactly what Moving Pictures does for couples. We received our final wedding video and SOBBED because it brought back so many emotions and memories, and honestly, reminded us why we fell in love in the first place. The cinematography is hands-down the best in the Pacific Northwest, if not the country. And the editing team at MP takes storytelling to another level. What sets MP apart from other wedding companies is the talent and skillset they bring to their work. Weddings are not just an event to record for them; it's an opportunity to make art. Someone should hire MP if they want a truly masterful and artistic film. We had a destination wedding in Mexico, and despite all the chaos that occurs with planning events from faraway, the MP team was a delight and easy to work with. On our wedding day, they acted like flies on the wall and came in with comfortable & confident direction when it mattered most (i.e. first look, etc.) We can't thank Moving Pictures enough for the treasure they created for us. Our wedding film is something we will cherish for a lifetime.

Couldn't have asked for a better wedding video!

Having Moving Pictures film our wedding was the greatest blessing! I was a crazy- stressed out bride about everything except photo and video. This was only because Marc and Cody at Moving Pictures were so incredible at what they do, that I knew I could rely on them 100% to capture everything that we wanted. My husband and I were able to relax and enjoy every moment without having to worry if the videographers got it on film. They were engaged with us the whole time, and truly captured the magic of our day. They are extremely talented, but more than that, they are intentional and that is what shines through the most. We are so pleased with our final films and would highly recommend Moving Pictures for your wedding :)

We spent over 1.5 years planning our wedding and we wanted a film company who we knew we could trust to capture all of the detail in the most professional way possible. Moving Pictures is that company! They were an absolute pleasure to work with and they even took the time to get to know me and my Bride on a personal level! Having so much collaboration with them prior to the event allowed them to understand our vision and execute it flawlessly! This is by far the best Film company in the State of Oregon, if not the entire country! If you want the best of the best choose moving Pictures!

Choosing Moving Pictures to shoot our destination wedding in St. Thomas, USVI was one of the best decisions we could have made. Mark made us so comfortable and you can tell his passion for filming couples special moments. Their work speaks for itself and our teaser video we received a week after the wedding has had myself, husband and all of my family in tears nearly every single time we have watched it. If you are having a destination wedding and don't choose Moving Pictures you are doing yourself a disservice.

Moving Pictures was the single best investment we made on our wedding day. We are absolutely in love with the video they put together. The Moving Pictures team is masterful at weaving several beautiful story lines together. The video took our breath away. We laugh and cry all over again reliving our wedding day on film. The cinematographers do an amazing job of blending in on your wedding day. You truly forget they’re there. I can’t thank Marc, Emily, Ryan and Carrie enough. The team makes the process fun. From our meetings before the wedding to the actual wedding day and the viewing party months later, they made everything easy for us. I would recommend Moving Pictures to anyone and everyone. We cannot recommend Moving Pictures enough! Marc, Emily, Carrie and the entire MP team were incredible to work with. We were blown away by our video! They are the most caring, fun and creative people to work with- hands down the best in the business. We love being able to watch our video and re-live our day over and over and know we will cherish it always. The entire team makes such an effort to get to know you and tell your story through the video. Our video felt like a cinematic production and not just some camera on a tripod. They communicated with us often and spending the day with them was comfortable and easy. They felt like great friends throughout our day and were so easy to work with! We cannot say enough great things about them. On top of everything; we had a very close friend battling cancer who devastated she was too sick to make it to our wedding. When our planner communicated this to Marc and the team; they went above and beyond for us. After our wedding; they shared a same day edit with our close friend who couldn't be there. They knew how meaningful this would be for her to see and feel as though she were there; and it truly meant so much to her. She passed just a couple of months after our wedding; and we are SO grateful that she was able to see this and cannot thank them enough for this. Do yourself a favor and hire them. They are worth the investment and so much more!

Hands down the easiest and best decision we made about our wedding day- choosing Moving Pictures to capture the most important day in our lives. Some bride and grooms might think woah about the price but when you really think about it, you will want to pick quality. Not only is the first introduction already very personable, they also meet with you before the wedding to get to know you personally and ask all your wants. Day of the wedding we felt so comfortable with Marc and the second shooter, they felt like family on that day and you knew that they already had their magical plan in place of how and where they were going to capture every single moment of the wedding. They came to the rescue with lights since we cut the cake in the dark- which actually made the wedding footage look even cooler. The team was great about communicating our wedding timeline ETA and even though we waited a bit longer than anticipated it was 1000% even more worth it. They compensated for the time as well, adding in extra features and a preview. Moving Pictures also does this cool thing where they re-post footage on their social media randomly and makes you cry when you unexpectedly see it and cry at work. I can't say enough great things about Moving Pictures and it should be an easy choice for future bride and grooms to pick them for their wedding day!

We could not be more pleased with Moving Pictures. Mark and his team are consummate professionals. From the discerning taste to the couple with negligible preferences, they are a great fit for any couple. It truly was amazing to watch our film and see all the moments they captured so perfectly because we hardly noticed they were there on our big day. It's no surprise that they won “Portland’s Best Wedding Videographer” for 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 by Oregon Bride Magazine. When beginning to plan our wedding day, we were undecided about a lot of things, but there was one thing we were certain of - Moving Pictures was going to be our videographer. The films they create are hands down, the best out there. Every film is unique to each and every couple and does an incredible job capturing the day. The quality is top notch and shows how talented the entire team is. From filming to editing, they know what they're doing. They're a team of creatives who have a vision and they portray it perfectly with their captivating films. From start to finish, our experience with Moving Pictures was wonderful. Every interaction, whether it be in person or through email, was professional, helpful and enjoyable. If you're worried about being uncomfortable in front of the camera, don't be! Marc and the rest of the team are the kindest, most easy going, friendly and fun people . They will make you feel totally at ease and you won't even notice they're there! We knew Marc's work was going to be incredible, but when we saw our wedding film, we were blown away. It surpassed all of our expectations. Moving Pictures captured our wedding day so perfectly. My friends and family that couldn't make it to the Big Day feel as though they were there due to the amazing storytelling in the film. We weren't sure if we should hire a videographer, but we are so glad we did! Moving Pictures really went above and beyond any expectations that I had. They took the chance to get to know us before the wedding and gave many follow ups during their editing. Each time we watch the video, we find something new to fall in love with. Hiring Moving Pictures was one of the best decisions that we almost didn't make. The idea of having a camera on us all day was a bit intimidating, and we weren't sure how often we would actually watch the video. However, Marc and his team were extremely professional, provided valuable perspective in helping us prepare to have our day captured, and were super fun! We can't imagine not having our video now to look back on our wedding day!! We have cherished watching and re-watching the incredible story the team captured and edited. Moving Pictures absolutely blew us away with their AMAZING work. Not only was the final product absolutely stunning (so much better than we could have imagined), but working with these folks was an absolute blast! Hiring Moving Pictures to shoot our wedding and rehearsal dinner was probably the best decision we made throughout the entire process. The decision to hire a videographer for our wedding came very late in the planning process. Like many couples, we thought, “when will we ever sit down and watch our wedding video?” After looking for a few videographers online, we were very much taken by what Moving Pictures had on their website. The design and layout of their website was merely an accurate glimpse of the beauty, artistry, and professionalism that the team at Moving Pictures provided us. It was more than just a transaction with a vendor, it was an experience that only made our special day all the more magical. The ease and flexibility of Marc and his crew in unparalleled. As luck would have it, they had an opening on our wedding day and were perhaps more excited to work with us! The thoughtful and patient preparation leading to our big day was welcomed as we scurried to finalize our other plans. The attention to fine detail and their way of working with us, our wedding party, our families, and guests created a calming atmosphere all while the excitement was not lost. The resulting film was absolutely breathtaking. Ryan’s editing skills are world-class as he allowed us, and our guests to relive our historic day while allowing those who were unable to attend to feel a part of it without missing the finest of details. The professionalism and white-glove treatment continues in post-production as they secure our continued satisfaction. I highly recommend Moving Pictures to anyone who is getting married, especially to those who did not think they needed or wanted videographers. Moving Pictures was an essential part of our wedding day and will be to everyone else’s too. We are so happy that we went with Moving Pictures to document our wedding day. At one point, we were even considering if it was even worth adding to the budget. Wow, we are so glad we went ahead with it! There were many elements in the video that we, as a bride and groom, were not able to catch that day since our time and attention was pulled to so many different places. The day goes by so fast! There's nothing like being able to relive the day over and over as many times as you want! Words can't explain how happy we are with Moving Pictures. From the moment we met our videographer to the time we received our finished product we had nothing but a wonderful experience. Our Videographer Glen took the time to get to know us personally which completely showed in our video. Anyone would be lucky to him assigned to your wedding. Our editor Emily demonstrated amazing customer service. She even helped us add a personal touch to our video! This was definitely worth every penny!

We were very impressed by the professionalism of Moving Pictures and its employees, and the incredibly high quality wedding video they produced for us. My mom and I did a special, surprise and choreographed mother and son dance, and Moving Pictures not only beautifully captured it on film, but made a professionally edited version for us as well! We were not expecting that, and it is something that my mother and I will cherish for the rest of our lives. I honestly can not thank Moving Pictures enough for our beautiful wedding video. We have such a great movie of our wedding day that we will cherish forever! All of our family and friends have raved about the quality of the movie. The day of the wedding you couldn't even tell they were there and they worked seamlessly with our other vendors. You can tell these guys put their hearts and souls into their work. I was so impressed with their professionalism, work ethic and all around passion for their jobs that Marc and his team have. Marc Rotse and his Moving Pictures team go above and beyond delivering an exceptional wedding video. It was a truly heart warming experience from beginning, to the final product. Marc is professional, prepared, warm and easy to work with. We never once doubted his ability to accurately capture our day. Our wedding video is so beautiful, it is a true treasure to keep for a lifetime. Some of our wedding photographs were compromised, so I highly suggest a wedding video as well! It is worth the spend! What a great experience it was working with Marc. My wife and I were from out of town, but Marc made it super easy to communicate from the beginning. One of our big concerns was having the videographers in your face during the ceremony and reception (we've been to other weddings where it felt like they had taken over and really distracted from the events), but Marc was fantastic. We really didn't even notice he was there. But the footage still came out beautifully and the final product is spectacular! If you're thinking about having a videographer, I can HIGHLY recommend Moving Pictures! Thanks guys!!!

We had many loved ones who were not able to make our wedding, so we knew from the beginning that we wanted a videographer to capture our day. We went to what my husband thinks were hundreds of wedding shows, and out of every videographer we saw, none had a product equal to the quality of Moving Picture Weddings. From the moment we met the Moving Picture team and saw a few of their clips, we knew we did not have to look any further! The icing on the cake was discovering that Marc was an Aussie, his voice made me feel like I was back home!
On the day of the wedding the team was so professional and great with all of the guests, I had many friends comment about how fantastic they were.
The quality of their work is impeccable! The 'Next Day Edit’ was the perfect summary of our wedding, and a wonderful way to share our day with all our friends who were not able to attend; we also used it to surprise all our out of town guests at the day-after brunch!
As a bride, the crew at Moving Pictures did not only capture my day perfectly, but did much more: they pinned boutonnieres, made my guests feel at home, and where calming voices during nervous moments. One of the easiest and best vendor choices we made. We love these guys!

After watching some of the videos Moving Picture Weddings had brought with them to the Bridal show, and after getting countless amazing reviews from friends, we knew that they had to be the ones to capture our special day!
Both of our videographers were phenomenal! They were super easy to work with and made it seem like they weren't even there. They were professional, and friendly. Our wedding day went by so fast that my husband and I were amazed at how everything kind of blurred together. The first time we sat down and watched our wedding video it was so magically because we really got to relive that day! Moving Pictures captured our wedding and made it into the most beautiful story!

When we were planning for our big day, we almost let the videographer pass by. We just weren't sure if it was something we really wanted. I can't tell you how happy we didn't pass it by! There is nothing like seeing and hearing the details and speeches from your wedding that you don't remember because the day goes by so quickly. You are going to want to relive your day, not just through the pictures, and Moving Picture Weddings does such a beautiful job. Their videos are a work of art! We have watched ours again and again...our video is truly priceless!

As an event planner, I know just how fast special days can go by, and we wanted to make sure to remember as much of the day as we could. I'm a professional film editor, so I know what quality work looks like, and Moving Pictures created the most magical, cinematic, funny, and emotional wedding film that perfectly tells the story of our big day. Marc and his team are truly professional level filmmakers who know how to capture all of the pivotal moments, from the tiniest details of the cake to epic sweeping panoramic vistas of our venue captured by drone. Moving Pictures also did a spectacular job incorporating our quirky personalities into the film, and creating a vision of our love story with real human interest. It actually feels like a stranger could watch the film and still connect emotionally with our story. That is the true testament of the talent of Moving Pictures. After watching some of the videos Moving Picture Weddings had posted, we knew that we needed them to capture our wedding. The process went so smoothly and they really took care of us from the first time we talked on the phone, to the consultation, to the day of our wedding. They were professional, and friendly, and I really could not come up with any critiques! They gave us a beautiful wedding video that captured my favorite memories of the day. I really could not have asked for more!

I didn't shop around. I found the Moving Pictures website, watched a video of someone's wedding, started to tear up, and knew they were perfect for our wedding day. Marc, our lead videographer was so much fun to work with, he is a laid back guy who appreciates the sentimental aspects of our love for one another. I only wish he could have stayed with us longer that day, but our budget didn't allow for that. The Moving pictures team was on time, helpful, and courteous. They were virtually invisible to us except for during the "getting ready", "first look", and "end-of-the-evening" shots. We can't wait to see the finished results and share them with our family and friends.

This may be a little out of the ordinary, because I am writing a review, not as a bride, but as the mother of the bride. Hiring Moving Picture Weddings' to chronicle my daughter's nuptial journey, was one of the highlights of our mother/daughter wedding experience! There is not enough space to write how extraordinarily talented, professional, kind, and genuine Marc and his team were with us! Even though Moving Picture Weddings documents far more prominent events and people, we still were treated like VIP's. Melissa and I were blown away by their eagerness and patience with us, in accommodating everything we wanted filmed! Moving Picture Weddings' warm, fun and yes, magical personalities had a way of transforming the awkwardness of being in front of camera into a memorable experience that felt more natural than you can imagine. No detail was neglected, no request dismissed. Moving Picture Weddings is beyond phenomenal! When the "Same Day Edit" was shown at the wedding reception, I was moved beyond words ( and I was not alone) at how perfectly they captured my daughter and her husband's love story! These wonderful people are the real deal! I would advise any of you thinking of hiring them, to do it! And if they are booked on the date you wish to marry, change your date!! You will not regret it! I only wish I had more unmarried children to marry off so that I could use them again and again and again! Beautiful work, and truly beautiful people, inside and out!

You can already tell the amazing work that moving pictures has done based on past work. We are still awaiting our video and so eager and excited to see it! Moving pictures team were very attentive, answering all of our questions promptly. Angel was our day of cinematographer. He was such a joy to work with. He made it feel natural and a lot of the time we would forget the camera was recording us. Highly recommend any couple to Moving Pictures!

Moving Picture Weddings was fabulous to work with! Planning a wedding outside of Portland was challenging, but everyone at Moving Pictures made it easy and worry free. On the day of our wedding, our videographer was not only inventive and creative, but such a pleasure to be around on our big day. LOVE the MPW Team!! My husband and I had the fortunate privilege of working with Marc and the MPW Team on 2 separate occasions, for our engagement cinema portrait session and on our wedding day. My husband, who has a shy and quiet temperament, was incredibly hesitant about talking on camera. I, admittedly, was just as nervous about being filmed. We needn’t have been worried or nervous! Marc’s humor, charm and down to earth personality made filming such a fun and memorable experience! Within an hour of working together on our first shoot, my husband and I were so relaxed we forgot that we were even on camera, thanks to Marc’s great direction! We couldn’t have been happier with the end product. We absolutely LOVED our engagement cinema portrait and actually showed a surprise viewing for our guests during our wedding reception. It received so many compliments, as many of our family and friends had never seen anything like it!
Getting to work with Marc and MPW Team again for our wedding was even more fun the second time around! Despite our wedding day jitters, both my husband and I couldn’t help but relax, laugh and enjoy ourselves while working with Marc. Never at anytime did we feel that the MPW Team stood out as our “vendor or videographer.” Rather, many of our guests didn’t event realize we had videographers filming, the team was so inconspicuous!
Marc is such a visionary and creative talent, and is a true joy to work with. We cannot thank Marc and the MPW Team enough for the AMAZING experience of personalized cinematography. We highly recommend Moving Picture Weddings! It was, by far one of the best investments we made for our wedding.

Marc is a riot to work with! I can't stress enough how important that is. When the stress of the wedding gets more and more intense, you need people around you who you can trust and make you laugh. Having watched his previous work and working with him, we were at ease. He also worked great with our other vendors. He's great at balancing work and play. He is phenomenal at what he does. He makes the videos look effortless. His work is natural and captures the mood of the wedding. He doesn't force anything. He is fabulous at his craft and knows how to capture the couple exactly as they want to remember the moment. Our budget was getting tighter when we booked Moving Picture Weddings and they worked with us to make this partnership happen. They are really invested in making a good product for you. They are a great company and we would recommend them in a heartbeat! Goes without saying that they are one of the best vendors in Portland!

We are so pleased we chose Moving Pictures to film our ceremony and our reception. Being filmed is something that doesn’t happen every day obviously, so we were way outside our comfort zones. Marc & Megan put us at right at ease—we felt comfortable right from the beginning; we didn’t even realize we were on camera most of the time! What a FUN duo to work with, too. There were just 3 days between our wedding in Seattle and our reception in Portland so a rush edit was in order for a ceremony highlights video. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the results—the film was reflective of our personalities and captured the feeling of the event perfectly. There wasn’t a dry eye in the ballroom after the video viewing and we have received so many compliments since about how well done the video was. Marc & Megan exceeded all of our expectations. If you’re considering a videographer, we HIGHLY recommend Moving Pictures…you’re getting more than just a video to capture your big day, you’re getting lots of fun memories in making the video, too!

Marc and his team were absolutely fantastic! We decided to add videography to our big day sort of late in the game…and we are SO glad we did! What an amazing thing to be able to look back on it and both our feature and our highlight films were incredible. Definitely worth the money and what a great, fun, and easy team to work with! From the second we met Marc from Moving Pictures at the Portland Bridal show we knew we wanted him to film our wedding. Super energetic, funny and just a top notch pro at what he does, Marc was amazing. He is all over the place, shooting everything and you don't even realize he's there (which is what you want). Anytime you know the camera will be on you, he makes you feel incredibly comfortable and it's the last thing you are thinking about. Marc knows his stuff and we were honored to have him capturing our perfect day!

I don't even know where to begin to describe how much we loved working with the incredibly wonderful Moving Picture team for our wedding. Aside from being so talented and absolute experts at film making, they are some of the the most authentic and genuine people we have worked with. From the moment they arrived to start shooting they were warm and welcoming, and seamlessly fit into our day. They captured every little detail and went far above and beyond any expectations. Whether it was getting us to where we needed to be or making sure my husband and I were fed during the wedding (seriously how many videographers stop to make sure you have been fed??), it is unreal how above and beyond they went to make our day that much more special. They added to memories and we feel so blessed to have worked with Marc and his incredible team. We HIGHLY recommend working with Moving Pictures for your wedding or really any occasion!

I cannot say enough about what a fabulous product Moving Picture Weddings provided!! We have watched our wedding video countless times in the last 11 months. We shared it with friends and family who would not attend. This is more than just some footage of your wedding. This is a piece that really captures you both as a couple and the feeling of your entire day. My husband convinced me to move extra dollars into this budget category because this was important to him. I was doubtful at the time, but it is some of the best money we spent. I was also nervous about having a bunch of cameras in my face, but they really were unobtrusive. I only wish I had built more time into the timeline of the day for some relaxed filming of just the two of us. I highly, HIGHLY recommend Marc and his whole team. Worth every penny and then some.

How to say thank you enough times? That was the only question after working with Marc and Vladi. Their helpfulness in planning from engagement video to wedding video was incredible, their ideas inspired, showed up prompt and even early on the day of the wedding and overall are a delight to work with. Everything turned out even better than we could have hoped for.

It is difficult to put into words how incredible it was to work with Marc and his second photographer Aaron. There are some people who have an tremendous skill set as a photographer and videographer, and then there are others who have an almost divine gift. Marc is the latter. He has an ingenious instinct when it comes to capturing people and sacred moments. We could not be more happy or impressed with not only the artistic quality of his work but how friendly and responsive he was. We had our DVDs no later than a month after the date, which was shockingly soon. And they are amazing.

Marc is a wonderful guy and a phenomenal artist. However, I would only recommend him to people who I truly think would be good to him...so if don't work with him unless you're prepared to be blown away. And then make sure you tell him you are :)

I am obsessed with my wedding video! Marc, Ryan, and the team did an incredible job of filming my day and editing everything into a cohesive and beautiful story - capturing all the small details and big moments of the day. Everyone at Moving Pictures is super friendly and the video is honestly top notch - just really well done and not at all tacky or cheap which I see happen with wedding videos sometimes. From the beginning all the way to the end, Moving Pictures was simply amazing. They were professional, personable and provided nothing but top notch service. Carrie was always available to answer any questions, help with our timeline and coordinate everything. She is the sweetest! Our videographer Ruvim was so cool! He made us feel at ease and honestly didn't even know he was there for most of the time! The videographers really do stay out of the way while still capturing every single moment. I watched so many wedding videos before booking a videographer and Moving Pictures has the BEST quality and the most talented staff out there! Emily, our editor, OMG she is awesome!! The owner Marc even sits down and watches the video with you when it's complete! These people love what they do and you can see it in their work. Seriously their films don't even compare to others! The day goes by so fast!! It's so special to have this keepsake for the rest of lives and be able to relive our special day whenever we want! Thank you MP!!!

Marc and the Moving Pictures team are a blast to work with. I remember on my wedding day laughing and having a great time as he captured all the wonderful moments.
Our movie is edited wonderfully without being over the top. We also got it in no time at all. I've heard some horror stories when it came to videographers, but it was nothing but laughs and professional beautiful work from Moving Pictures.
I'm glad we decided to spend the extra we hadn't originally planned to do. It was well worth every penny.
