If you are looking at wedding venues around the Harford County area, Mountain Branch is absolutely incredible! We toured this venue on a whim and instantly fell in love. Words cannot express how much we loved every second of our experience with Mountain Branch; we felt like and continue to feel like family.
Christine, the wedding extraordinaire at Mountain Branch, ensured everything was absolutely perfect. From our first meeting with Christine, I felt completely supported and at ease about wedding planning. Her professionalism, responsiveness, care, and kindness at our first meeting was a huge factor in choosing this venue, I could not imagine our wedding day without her. Throughout the entire year of planning, Christine was so supportive and helped answer any questions we had along the way. On the day of our wedding, Christine was on top of everything, the only thing I needed to worry about was enjoying the day. She is truly the best in class.
Not only is the venue stunning (seriously go visit), but each and every staff member we interacted with treated us with top notch service every time we visited. This venue has everything! The food is incredible; I am still getting compliments from guests on our food several months after the wedding. There are so many things included in the wedding package; the value is unmatched by other venues. For a less stressful wedding planning, this venue included catering, bar services, table linens, lighting, staffing, set-up, teardown, day of staffing management, a ceremony arch, and the cake provided by a fantastic local bakery. You truly get so much all in one place, and I loved the ease of planning with Mountain Branch.
Our wedding exceeded our dreams at Mountain Branch, we could not have been happier. I do not think I can truly express how much I recommend this venue, it was the most fantastic experience! My husband and I look forward to revisiting Mountain Branch’s restaurant, bar, and other events often, they made us feel like family. -

Mountain Branch is a fantastic, beautiful venue. For the price, you can't beat all the included things with it. We worked with a wedding planner, Christine, provided by Mountain Branch, and they handled all set-up and tear down, allowing us to drop off our decorations the day before, and store it for us the day after. The food was absolutely delicious, and there were plenty of drink options. Every member of staff who worked the wedding was incredibly friendly! My wife and I cannot recommend Mountain Branch enough! -

Quality, Class, and Beauty!
My husband and I have been a long-time customers of Mountain Branch and I was even once employed there as a banquet server - I loved my job there, it was the best!
From experiencing the breath taking views while dining in the restaurant, enjoying a cocktail in the rustic pub, playing the golf course and attending holiday-themed events, we have nothing but high praises to share about the establishment and the people that keep it running. The quality you receive when booking a wedding or other special event with them is above par.
The food is delicious, and you can't go wrong with the mini crabcake appetizers!
The photo opportunities will blow your mind! Our photographer was in awe with the views that overlooked the course and the rolling hills of Harford County in the distance. Our guests were extremely impressed with all of it, and we knew we were in good hands with having the Day-of-coordinators there helping us plan and make sure the days runs smoothly. Carol and Christine are the most attentive and organized women who kept us sane on the craziest day of our lives. We are so happy with how everything turned out thanks to them.
We highly reccomend booking your wedding with Mountain Branch! I wouldn't have done it any differently if I had a chance to do it over again. -

Working with Carol and her team for the last 18 months planning for my wedding was such a breeze. They made it so easy, and my day was everything I had dreamt it would be. It included so much stuff you only need to hire a DJ, Photographer, Hair and Make-up and hotel since they do not have a bridal party suite to get ready in. Everything else is included! And I mean everything... Staff working it, tables, chairs, linens, alcohol, food, wedding cake, they set up and clean up for you. We did our ceremony in the courtyard overlooking the golf course and had our reception in the tented ball room. The only thing is I would recommend is hiring a photographer who has been there, so they know where all the good spots are. Luckily for us ours had been there several times before for other weddings (Lisa Robin) she was fantastic. The only thing that I heard of was the champagne fountain was a little warm but besides that everything was perfect, and the food is AMAZING. -

Mountain Branch was perfect!
We had both our ceremony and reception at Mountain Branch on 10/3/2020 and our day was absolutely perfect. We chose Mountain Branch, because of how easy they make the planning process and for the beautiful ceremony and reception area. We worked with Carol, who was amazing! She was so helpful and made sure everything was perfect for us every step of the way. We got so many compliments on everything! The view, the food, the setting. We have zero complaints -

I can't thank Mountain Branch and the entire staff enough for hosting us and helping us pull of an absolutely perfect wedding day.
First, the GM, Caroll - a MILLION THANK YOU's for being so responsive and accommodating during very challenging times. You kept us at ease and made sure everything went as planned. We never felt like we were in the dark or uneasy about the wedding and we could not be happier with the end result.
Secondly - Nick. My wife and I were so impressed by him at our wedding. He always made sure we had what we needed (drink in my hand) and made a huge difference in our event. Give that man a raise! We were being pulled a thousand different directions throughout the event, but we just could not help but notice his work ethic. The next day he also made sure we got everything we left behind (which was literally everything).
As far as the venue is concerned, it is perfectly positioned on higher ground, looking over a beautiful golf course and the surrounding county. It's a perfect mix of outdoor and indoor space, which allowed for a enjoyable event for ourselves and our guests.
Jaime and I are so happy we chose Mountain Branch and look forward to coming back for many years. Caroll also hooked me up with some golf passes - I will be back soon! -

Mountain Branch made our dreams of a prefect wedding come true. Between Carol making sure every thing was done timely and efficiently, to the staff making sure the decorations were exactly how we pictured them. It was prefect. Communication was on point. If I sent a question on a Saturday or Sunday night I would get an immediate respond, which made me feel much better when it came closer to the date. The staff was very professional and treated everyone with respect. When Mountain Branch says they want you to enjoy your big day, I can honestly say they mean it. -

Carol and LeAnn at mountain branch are fabulous! They take care of every detail and made sure everything was perfect. The venue was great for our guests, they loved having the outside space to chill out if they weren't dancing. I loved everything about having my wedding at Mountain branch and would absolutely recommend to anyone! -

I knew from the start after meeting Carol that this was the place I wanted to get married. She was THE BEST. So welcoming and so real and honest at the same time. You can tell she truly loves her job. Anytime I had a question she got back to me the same day. My wedding planning experience was STRESS FREE and that is so important. The day of I literally worried about not a single thing. I truly trusted Carol and her staff to set up the venue and carry out my vision and my gosh did they deliever! It was so beautiful and everything went perfect. If I had to chose again I’d chose them over and over again. You will not find a wedding coordinator than Carol.

Jordyn Sent on 07/31/2018My experience at Mountain Branch was AMAZING! LeeAnn White is a FANTASTIC coordinator along with all of the other MB staff. LeeAnn was there for us every step of the way and was responsive to any questions, concerns, etc. She kept the wedding moving with her times and organization. She was by my side as the bride for everything and made me feel so special. The tent at MB is gorgeous inside and the staff works hard to make sure everything looked perfect from the guests tables, to the cake table, card table, etc. It was also SOOOOO clean inside. We got married in the courtyard and it was an absolutely gorgeous day overlooking the golf course. When I walked down the isle, the staff was fluffing my dress. They were so personable. I couldn't imagine having our wedding anywhere else.

LeeAnn, Nicole, and all her additional excellent crew make all the the stress "you hear about in planning the wedding/reception" fly out the window and become RELIEF instead!! Our experience there was perfect!! If you have any doubts, don't doubt Mountain Branch and what they have to offer!!

We got so many compliments on the view, the food and the drinks. It was a wedding dream come true. Carol answered every question quickly and was always that with answers and suggestions. She must have some kind of weather connection because she ordered us a perfect day with the sun arriving the exact moment my daughter walked in!! She is the absolute BEST!!!

Jennifer Sent on 04/06/2018I just can't begin to explain what an amazing experience my husband and I had with Mountain Branch. We had originally planned a big June wedding at another venue, and wound up having to cancel due to new life plans and costs. We reached out to mountain branch thinking we could have a nice dinner for around 50 people, but instead were able to host a full wedding thanks to their flexibility and generosity. Carol was such a dream...she didn't let me worry about a single thing. The tent was BEAUTIFUL and between her and the DJ, the entire wedding was coordinated perfectly. They did the set up, the clean up...they directed the photographers. I just couldn't be happier. Plus, even though we opted for the buffet - My husband and I were served at our sweetheart table AND my wheelchair bound grandmother was served with absolutely no prompting. I was so moved by that thoughtfulness. Thank you so much to the Mountain Branch team for giving me the wedding I wanted when I had all but given up on it. -
Katie Sent on 10/17/2017Do yourself a favor and have your wedding here! Not only is the venue absolutely beautiful all year round, but the service and food are both incredible! Carol, the general manager, is amazing and will do anything and everything to make sure your day is perfect and everything runs smoothly. They are incredibly detailed and thorough, will set everything up for you, and make sure you are taken care of the entire time. This venue was really a dream come true and you will not regret having your wedding here! The outside space was great for cocktail hour, a cigar bar we put outside, they provide fire pits if you want them, also you can set up cornhole. The tent is fully climate controlled, and the chandeliers really add an elegant romantic touch. All of the food was delicious too. They are very flexible and want to make sure you are totally satisfied. Absolutely recommend Mountain Branch!

Kim was extremely helpful during our entire (over a year long) wedding planning process, and helped me with every numerous e-mail I sent her. The value truly is unbeatable! The prices were great, the food was phenomenal, and every single person who worked there was so courteous.
The staff was exceptional in laying out our ceremony and reception better than I could have ever asked for.
Mountain Branch truly made sure that not only my husband and I had the best wedding ever, but they also made sure our guests had everything they needed. I have been getting continuous compliments on how great the food, service, and overall wedding was. You won't be disappointed having your wedding here! -

After my original MB wedding planner was fired the new one stepped in and took over very smoothly. I am still getting compliments everyday from guests about the venue, the bar, the food, the staff, and everything else! I had multiple guests tell me it was the BEST food (especially the crabcake & filet!) they have ever had at a wedding!! Carol & her team are amazing!!! They catered to my every request and made my husband and I feel like royalty on the most amazing day of our lives. Thank you, Mountain Branch, for making the wedding of my dreams so easy! -

Best Wedding Venue
Mountain Branch gave us the wedding of our dreams with little work from us. They accommodated every single request with a smile and their staff did an absolutely amazing job setting up our decor, serving our guests, and helping with any request. We loved that we had the outside area for our guests to mingle or escape the loud music for a bit. The bartenders made amazing drinks and helped give everyone a great experience. Our coordinator Christine did an amazing job managing the day and communicating with our vendors. The food was great, the foliage was beautiful, and our guests had the best time! -

LeeAnn was great to work with from the beginning, she promptly answered all my calls and emails, and was always reassuring when I had concerns. She also had a way of making me feel like I was her only bride and therefore top priority (even though I know she was juggling a couple weddings/brides at one time!).
The tent was absolutely gorgeous, especially after they upgraded the chairs and flooring! I was in awe when I walked into my reception and saw how beautiful it looked. And can I just say the food was INCREDIBLE! We got so many compliments on the food and drink.
I’d highly recommend Mountains Branch for your wedding/reception venue, you won’t be disappointed! -

Vi Sent on 11/04/2017Overall experience was wonderful. Minimal bumps a long the way, especially with LeeAnn heading my day up; she was a blessing! I would, a thousand times over, recommend Mountain Branch to any other bride looking for a spectacular venue. And if you’re looking to get the biggest bang for your buck, look no further! They are practically an all inclusive venue: ceremony and reception, catering is in house (their food is out of this world!), open bar, wedding cake voucher, tables chairs and linens.. it was well worth it!
We had a strict budget and we were planning all within a 6 month time frame! We were able to have everything we wanted the way we invisioned and not stray from our budget a single penny!
The overall experience was amazing! -

Mountain Branch is a beautiful location. Our contact there, Kimberly, was great. She was very responsive and flexible. We live about an hour and a half from the golf course so it's not always easy to come up there, especially when a lot of vendors want to meet during the week. Kimberly was flexible about when we met for our tasting. The food was great. All of the apps and entrees were delicious. I was disappointed at the amount of hor deurves that were passed throughout cocktail hour. I even heard from a few guests that they barely got any. My mother of all people only got a few pieces of cheese (which she said she had to cut herself, there had been some slices in the beginning but then no staff came back to cut the rest of the blocks). She saw a tray of butlered hor deurves go by one time and she wasn't even given the opportunity to grab something.
Another issue was that the AC unit was leaking onto the guests who were sitting at the table underneath of it. When I came over to greet that table, the people who had been closest to the tent wall under the AC were standing because they were getting wet. That is completely unacceptable, and even if AC units tend to do that (I have no idea), then the tables need to be arranged around that issue.
Another issue I had was that Mountain Branch threw away my cake topper. Sure it was an inexpensive acrylic set of our initials and a heart, but it was something I wanted to save. And sure I could just order a replacement, but I shouldn't have to.
Finally, during the planning I was told that guests would have their choice in cake flavor. Very important considering we had 4 flavors. I was told by several guests that they were only given one choice and it was just placed in front of them, rather than a tray of different flavors shown to each guest as I was promised. -

Food was good, but A/C was NOT working. Aug 6 2022, we had 2 guests lose consciousness in the first hour due to heat exhaustion, staff insisted everything was fine. Carol McCarthy would not return phone calls and refused to make any adjustments/credits after the fact. She also listed on the contract that bourbon would be included but claimed they were unable to get any for our event.Mountain Branch Golf Club's reply:
Well how disappointing that someone would just lie. I will reach out to the bride and groom who were delightful on their return . All A/C working perfectly in a heat advisory in August! I kindly agreed to add an expensive bourbon that was neither paid for or on the contracted bar. Yes it didn't come in on our order, neither was it paid for.
I was receiving texts from my bride yesterday again thanking me for a wonderful experience. i look forward to my bride giving an honest review, which I know she will. -

My mom hosted my bridal shower here last weekend and we were extremely disappointed in Mountain Branch. Not worth it for the price by any means. The only positive was that they were very flexible with changing the date (we had to postpone a year because of COVID). But the execution of the event was as if they have never hosted an event before .
Our contract included mimosas to be there for when guests arrived. 30 minutes after the event started we asked where the mimosas were and they told us that we had to pay for them. We told them we did pay for them and they told us we had to speak to a manager (who they never went to get). So my mom had to go over and pull up the contract on her phone.
They also didn't have water. Who doesn't have water? They told us we could have Sprite or tonic water instead until we argued with them that they need to go get a big pitcher of water.
We had about 50 guests there and they brought out about 10 tea sandwiches per platter. So needless to say, they were gone almost as soon as they came out and no one was there to refill the sandwich platter. So the buffet was sparse and empty until I talked to two servers and the manager telling them they needed to constantly refill the buffet. Presentation was disappointing.
They also went around and took everyone's knives mid meal because they had run out of knives (I think there was also a wedding and another event that day). Clearly they were not prepared to host our event and it was embarrassing.
When I called the event manager a few days later to discuss, all she had was excuses. She sent my Mom a gift card to make the situation right instead of comping a percentage of the bill. Why would we want to go back there?
I would definitely reconsider if you are planning to have an event at Mountain Branch. Not worth it at all in my opinion.
