The best decision I've made (aside from marrying my husband on our wedding day), was choosing Blake to be our photographer for all of it!
Blake photographed our micro-destination-wedding in northern California, and he was fantastic from start to finish. He blended seamlessly into our small group, capturing every intimate moment without ever feeling intrusive. He made us feel relaxed, and captured the day exactly as we hoped. The photos are beautiful, natural, and full of moments we didn’t even realize he caught. We’re so grateful we chose Blake! -

The absolute best!!
Hire Cat and Blake for all of your photography and videography dreams!! We hired them for photography for our wedding and they are AMAZING to work with to say the least! It was so hot and rainy on our wedding day and it didn’t affect their work not once! They will get the perfect shot no matter what! Our pictures turned out so beautiful and we are forever grateful. They are professional and friendly all in one. Thank you Cat and Blake, you guys are the best!! -

I cannot thank Cat & Blake enough for the incredible work they did for our wedding! We knew they were perfect at our engagement photos when they flawlessly handled our crazy pup and got some amazing shots with her. Their work on the wedding was so appreciated. They do such a great job of matching your energy and bringing out the best in you and making it a fun experience. We absolutely loved the final results! We most definitely recommend a highlight video from them (that you will watch 1 million times). And they gave us so many great photos that we will cherish forever. We hired Cat & Blake for their videography service for our wedding and they were spectacular! From the start, they were easy to work with and responsive. On the day of our wedding, they were creative and fun, which was so helpful! Cat & Blake captured amazing footage and created an amazing video for us to remember our day by! 10/10 recommend!! -

Cat and Blake are SO talented!
Cat and Blake did an amazing job shooting our wedding!! They are such great people and we instantly felt at ease working with them! They kept the day running smoothly and were SO helpful. They were great with our large bridal party, our pre teen who was uninterested in pictures, our six year old who asked question after question about their cameras, and our over tired toddler. They were able to get real and genuine smiles from everyone and I don’t feel that a single moment was missed. The images themselves are absolutely breathtaking and I can’t wait to fill my wall space with them! It has been a pleasure getting to know Cat and Blake over the last year and I am looking forward to working with them in the future. We are so truly grateful for everything they did and are so happy we trusted Motion Magic Studios to document one of the best days of our lives! -

Hands down...AMAZING!
Where to even begin...I am so thankful to have found Blake & Cat to capture such a special day in our lives. They went above and beyond in every aspect. From our first virtual meeting, I knew I had made the right decision. They captured everything that I requested and more. Cat was always there whenever I needed anything and so calming throughout the whole day! Even grabbing me a drink after pics 💁🏻♀️ I am hands down so obsessed with the photos and I cannot wait to see our video! I would 1000% recommend Motion Magic Studios to all friends and family that are in need of a photographer/videographer! Thankful to have found Blake & Cat. They made the day stress free and I can’t thank them enough for all they did and have done! ♥️ -

Cat and Blake are seriously the BEST. They shot our wedding in September and our pictures came out more perfect than I could have ever imagined! They are both so chill and really laid back which made getting genuine pictures look so much better! Cat has also shot our fall/Christmas pictures twice, did our engagement shoot and did my boudoir photo shoot as a gift for my husband! I highly recommend Motion Magic and tell all my friends about them. -

Blake and Cat perfectly captured my big day with amazing photography and videography! They took the time to figure out exactly what I wanted in my photos and video so that the big day went smoothly! I didn’t have to worry about anything and it all turned out amazing! I’ve been using them for all of my photography needs since! Blake and Cat are always on-time, prepared, and just great people to know! -

I'm absolutely in love!
Cat did an incredible job on my engagement pictures! Then the unexpected happened and I ended up not getting married. It was a rough situation and Cat then offered to do a photoshoot just for me. They were incredibly supportive throughout the entire process. They respond quickly and really take the time to get to know you. She made me feel comfortable and the pictures are absolutely beautiful. I hope to use them in the future when I get married! I would highly recommend them to everyone! -

One of the best decisions of our day!
We had Cat and Blake at our wedding to do both our photography and videography! We absolutely loved working with them. We had a small untraditional wedding and after some conversation Cat knew exactly what I wanted and ran with it, both our engagement session and wedding photos came out even better than we had expected. They caught all of the best moments on camera and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them! They were by far one of the best parts of our day! -

Motion Magic Studios was INCREDIBLE
Out of all of the choices we had to make when planning a wedding my Husband (now) and I knew choosing Motion Magic Studios to capture the day was the best decision we made. We received our sneak peaks and our jaws dropped. They are absolutely BEAUTIFUL! We shared them with friends and family in our excitement and they all said the same thing, "Your photographers are amazing!!" They captured my husband and I in our true form. You can see the love in EVERY single picture. They captured the raw unposed moments while also posing us in poses that capture our "style".
They kept us on time with our schedule so we were able to capture beautiful shots throughout the whole night while still having plenty of time to dance and enjoy the night (which is so important!!).
Motion Magic Studios took charge of everything which was so nice to not have to worry about getting people together. They took care of it all. They were patient when we took pictures with our dog (taking pictures with animals is never easy). They even held my hand while I walked to my first look because I was so nervous.
This amazed me looking back because they didn't have to do any of those extra things like, holding my hand and being patient working with our dog, but they did without hesitation. They truly care about each of their clients and it shows not only in their work but also when they are present for the most important day of your life! -

Cat did an amazing job on our engagement photos! She was very detailed and very helpful in telling us how to pose or what looked good. It was extremely hot out there and that didn't phase her at all. I highly recommend them and I am so excited to use them for my wedding! -

Dream team!!
These two are the dream team! They go above and beyond! I had forgotten my deodorant after I put my wedding dress on and everyone had already walked out of the room but her. She stuffed her hand in the back of my dress and put my deodorant on! This is something only heros do! Lol 😅 Blake knocked our wedding video out of the park, tears all over again! They were great at our reception captured wonderful moemnts and even joined in on the dancing fun! If you're worried about a photographer not capturing a moment these two I promise WILL get every moment! When my photos came back I couldn't believe the photos they got! 🥰🥰🥰 If you need a dream team this is the couple to hire!!! -

My husband and I were so impressed with Motion Magic Studios when we interviewed and ultimately hired them to do the photography and videography for our June 1st wedding. We got along with Cat and Blake so well, and we were thrilled that they would be capturing our special day. A few months later during our Engagement Session, they went above and beyond to make sure that our pictures turned out the way we wanted, finding multiple locations for us to visit, and making the day a truly enjoyable experience. We were so happy with the individualized attention we received, and even hoped to make Motion Magic Studios our family photographer from that point on, documenting everything from maternity photos to family photos in the years to come.
Blake and Cat were even extremely organized and professional during our client meeting which took place a few weeks before the wedding, and there was no doubt in our minds that they would continue to do the same excellent job on the day itself.
Unfortunately, our wedding day was an entirely different experience, and we have no idea how we could have possibly predicted that it would turn out the way it did. It was as if completely different photographers had shown up in place of the ones we had hired, and a day that was initially very relaxed and fun-filled ended up being full of anxiety and frustration instead. The atmosphere in the bridal suite completely changed almost the exact moment that Motion Magic Studios arrived, when Cat was immediately frustrated that we did not have a wooden hanger for them to hang my dress on for pictures. They began yanking furniture around due to lighting issues, which our wedding party and families then had to attempt to put back in its original places at the end of the night in order to ensure that we would get our security deposit back from the venue.
My husband and I had both written love letters to one another to read before the ceremony, and upon Cat’s suggestion during our client meeting, entrusted them to her until the time came to read them in front of the camera. When it was time for me to read Jon’s letter, it was nowhere to be found. My family, bridesmaids, and even the venue employees looked absolutely everywhere for the letter, even going through the trash, and it appeared to be lost. By this point, we were way behind on the timeline that Cat had set for photos to take place prior to the ceremony, and as a result they had my bridesmaids and I out in the open still taking photos in our dresses as the first guests began to arrive. At this point I was becoming visibly upset and stressed out, but Cat continued to become more and more impatient and intense, telling me, “I’m going to need a real laugh from you, Megan,” even though I was on the verge of tears. At this point, a close friend of ours who had been watching all of this called her out and stated that it was clear that the bride was getting overwhelmed and that we were done taking pictures for the moment, and my bridesmaids and I made it back inside the bridal suite just in time before guests saw me in my dress too soon.
At this point there were only ten or so minutes until the ceremony was supposed to start. I was in the bridal suite holding back tears with still no letter from my fiancé to read before walking down the aisle, when suddenly Jon’s best man burst through the door with the missing letter in his hand. According to my husband, Cat had reached into her pocket looking for a mic and pulled it right out. Realizing what it was, she immediately tried to blame it on someone else saying, “Why am I just now getting this?!” With just a few minutes to spare before walking down the aisle, I was finally able to read the letter while my sister caught my reaction on video using her phone. After the ceremony it was given BACK to Motion Magic Studios (They wanted footage of Jon and I each reading BOTH of the letters for the highlight video, which is why we had given it to her in the first place), and they lost it AGAIN later in the evening. This time, it was picked up off of the ground by a wedding guest and given back to Jon and I.
Cat continued to be extremely impatient and unprofessional throughout the remainder of the night as we began the wedding reception, and due to the fact that we were so far behind on their timeline due to the lost letter fiasco, Jon and I found ourselves being pulled from the reception on multiple occasions, each for large chunks of time. During family photos, it wasn’t until one of my bridesmaids realized that I was included in ANY of the photos with Jon and his family that this was fixed; something that really wasn’t even our responsibility to worry about! While shooting photo and video outside of the reception barn, Cat not only continuously yelled at both Blake and the third photographer who was with them (who apologized to us for Cat’s behavior MULTIPLE times throughout the night), but was also very harsh with any wedding guests who accidentally got in the way of her shots. Enough time had gone by at this point that guests that we hadn’t even gotten the chance to talk to were walking up to us to let us know that they were leaving, and Jon and I were so fed up with being pulled away from the reception and not getting to enjoy our night that we ended up skipping the bouquet and garter tosses, the Last Couple Standing Dance, and even saying hello to about half of our guests just so that we could have some time to dance together as husband and wife.
While I don’t believe that ANYONE should be treated the way that we were by Motion Magic Studios on our wedding day, I will acknowledge that Blake and Cat had some other things going on at home due to the tornadoes that struck the Dayton area this past summer passing in extremely close vicinity to their home. At the same time, however, this was our one and only wedding day, and we were very disappointed in the way Motion Magic Studios, primarily Cat, conducted themselves. My husband and I both work full time, he goes to school full time, and we paid for our wedding 100% on our own, even picking up part-time jobs to do so. That is why it is so hard to wrap my head around the fact that we not only spent such an obscene amount of money on Motion Magic Studio’s services for them to act so unprofessionally on our wedding day, but also for us to not even receive our final products after the fact within the timeframe that was clearly stated in the contracts we had signed.
According to our photography contract, we were supposed to receive our wedding photos within 4-8 weeks of our wedding, and although we were very happy with the final product and think that Cat and Blake ultimately did a great job on them, we waited over 11 weeks before we received the photos. According to our videography contact, we were supposed to receive our Highlight Video at least 2-4 weeks before receiving our full video footage, and while we did get our highlight video about 16 weeks after our wedding date, we did not receive our full wedding video and the DVD and Blu-ray discs we purchased for OVER 22 WEEKS (our contract states that we were supposed to receive the full video within 8-14 weeks). It had gotten to the point where we were so disappointed with Motion Magic Studio’s disorganization and complete lack of professionalism that my husband called them a few weeks ago and left a voicemail explaining our feelings and expressing the desire for a partial refund due to them not fulfilling the terms of our contract. They offered us just slightly over $200, which does not even make a dent in the THOUSANDS we spent on their services.
Our wedding was a beautiful, joy-filled day that my husband and I will always look back on and treasure. This is the first sentiment that is also always echoed by our guests whenever they talk about the day. The second sentence out of their mouths each time however is almost always, “Wow, your photographers were really unprofessional. We hardly saw you guys,” or “Wow, your lady photographer screamed at your guy photographer A LOT.” If there was one thing we could go back and change about our wedding day, it would be not to hire Motion Magic Studios. It is mind-blowing to me that we just finished dealing with them almost 6 MONTHS after our wedding and that we had to basically harass them just to get all of the materials that we paid for. I really hope that other couples can learn from our mistake.
