Sounded Amazing!
Several guests commented on how fantastic the quartet sounded. Was a highlight of our ceremony. Communicating with them was easy, especially with the music selection and coordinating the time. Couldn't have picked a better group. -

Best 4-String Quartet!!
My husband and I knew we wanted live music at our wedding. The Morris Quartet played our ceremony and cocktail hour. They were AMAZING! They learned my husbands favorite song (it’s very obscure) and played songs from their vast repertoire (Nirvana, Christmas songs, etc. etc.). They were on time, professional, super nice — everything you’d want. Our guests raved about the music. :) -

Absolutely wonderful
If I could give Morris Sting Quartet 10 stars I would. They arrived ahead of schedule and the Musicians were warm, friendly and professional. They played at my Daughter’s Wedding Ceremony and were extraordinary. Their music set the tone for a beautiful ceremony. They played every song we requested and went above and beyond to add a song I requested that was not on their song list. Absolutely amazing experience. -

Beautiful Music

Best Wedding Quartet in the Area!
We used the Morris String Quartet during our cocktail hour, and they were fantastic! They reached out proactively to us before our event to share their full repertoire list which is very extension (pop, rock, country, basically - everything whatever you want - they can play it!). We got to hand select the songs we wanted to be played, and it was the hit of our cocktail hour! We were very impressed with the quality of their playing which is truly professional grade. If you need any type of quartet for your wedding, this group should be your top choice! -

Absolutely Perfect!
Morris String Quartet was absolutely wonderful. They played during our ceremony and cocktail hour! I gave them a list of songs I wanted for the ceremony and they played them at the exact perfect time. Otherwise, they chose the music they wanted to play and it was beautiful! The guests raved about how beautiful and elegant they were. The 4 musicians that were assigned to our wedding were so kind and even shared in the joy by congratulating us! Ross handled our booking through email and was so quick to respond, easy to work with, and very helpful. We can’t wait to get our video back so we can re-watch our ceremony and really get to appreciate the beautiful touch that the quartet provided.
Our day was beautiful, wonderful, and full of love. Morris String Quartet will forever be a part of the day that we will never forget.

dreamy ceremony + cocktail hour
we hired morris string quartet after searching through what felt like tons of string quartet's in the philadelphia area. SO HAPPY WE DID! from beginning to end we always received quick responses, the music selection process was a breeze (they have SO many songs to choose from) and we were able to have the perfect mix of classical/pop. we received so many compliments on our music and I'm so so happy we were able to work with such a talented group of musics. thanks for making our day so special! -

The Morris Quartet were absolutely perfect for our wedding. We had read so many reviews, listened to their work, and were worried they would be out of our budget. But they worked with what we could provide and gave us musicians that were accomplished, polished, phenomenally talented and who entertained our guests during the ceremony beautifully. I cannot recommend them enough. Throughout the process of booking to the day of the wedding they were professional, cordial, prompt, responsive and even dealt with switching times and awful center city parking situations. They were the best! -

Morris Quartet performed at our daughter's wedding and they were superb! These talented musicians played beautifully, providing the graceful ambience desired by the bride and groom for their ceremony. We received so many compliments on the live quartet and the music. Morris Quartet did an amazing job at our wedding at the Atrium at the Curtis Center in Philadelphia. They were able to find sheet music to all the songs that I wanted and did an amazing job!!! From the second we hired them until the end they were amazing and went beyond our expectations. All out guests loved how beautifully they played and they play so many pop music that I was very happy. They also play a lot of theme songs that my husband was so excited and happy about. I am so happy and thrilled they played at our wedding and would hire them for my future events! -

The Morris Quartet played lovely music during our ceremony and cocktail hour. I particularly enjoyed being able to peruse the group's very extensive catalogue of songs from classical to pop covers. Ross, the group's manager, was easy to deal with by email in the months preceding the wedding. He was quick to answer emails and made setting up the contract easy. He also helped guide me towards the right song selections and provided feedback on my vision, though he was also flexible and accommodating with my specific requests. I loved the polished look and professionalism of the quartet. They played outside, so it was a little hard to hear at times, but this was just due to boats passing, etc and not the fault of the group. The musicians were kind and courteous and added a nice touch to the event. I felt their pricing was very reasonable and a great value for four talented professional musicians. Of all our vendors I felt great supporting this group. -

Ross was a breeze to work with and the trio was incredible. They killed it and set the most beautiful mood for our weddding adding just the magic we needed to celebrate our love. They even composed and played a song from a band my husband was in- sheet music was not available.. and they nailed it!! We will be recommending them to everyone! :D -

The Morris String Quartet played at our son's wedding on New Years Eve in Philadelphia. The string music made the ceremony magical. Both our son and daughter-in-law had played string instruments when they were young and my husband and I decided to hire the Morris String Quartet for their wedding. The quartet made the wedding absolutely beautiful. They were extremely flexible, reliable, honest and definitely worth the $$. -

If you want live quality live music to help take your special day over the top, go with The Morris Quartet. Song selection is easy and straightforward, their repertoire is deep and varied and the quality and professionalism of the performance cannot be understated. Having the Morris Quartet perform live music for our wedding ceremony really brought a high level of sophistication to our wedding and helped make a memorable day even more so. -

Morris String Quartet performed at the cocktail hour portion of my daughter's wedding reception at Philadelphia's Kimmel Center. They were a perfect fit for our event and a complement to the venue, which was coincidentally hosting the Philadelphia Orchestra that night. The Quartet filled our space with their sound without overpowering the scores of conversations that our guests were enjoying while they performed. The modernity of the music was also a big hit. Highly recommended. -

We had the Morris string quartet play rock and pop music for our wedding, and we loved it! Guests said they sounded great and got such a kick out of hearing rock and band roll anthems on string quartet (I only ended up hearing the processionals myself but that’s how it goes on your wedding day!) their website has some videos of them playing so you can hear it first. Indoor wedding is no problem, but we were initially going to have an outdoor ceremony (for a little rained on), and rain with a string quartet can be dicey- you need a tent/shade/cover from
Rain for them. Anyway.. would definitely recommend! -

Ross and team were great. Willing to arrange any song we had. They sounded fantastic, guests really enjoyed them and we received a lot of compliments about the music. Early on, I had to reach out to him more to ensure everything was on track. But he brought it home in the end. Would recommend. -

The Morris String Quartet's performance at our recent (April 2022) wedding was very disappointing. Their manager, Ross, failed to respond to emails and calls during the two week period prior to the wedding. He finally responded on the Thursday before the Saturday wedding. Very stressful! The musicians were ill prepared, A stocking cap is not appropriate attire for a wedding. I would never use them again and advise others not to as well. Their manager told us he manages groups in over 40 cities. Sounds way overextended!

Bummer of a situation, thanks to the Morris String Quartet
This team's lack of communication resulted in our ceremony being screwed up last minute. I still haven’t heard from Ross, the manager, after many attempts. The problem:
I said to Ross, weeks before the wedding: “Your contract says you won’t play below 60 degrees. This is a November wedding. How do we ensure the players can play?”
Ross replied: “50 is our hard cut-off. You’ll be fine. We’re playing outside most of November.”
That’s the last I heard from Ross - ever.
I offered to provide heaters for the players, paying for them myself. I didn't hear back regarding this solution. Finally, we heard “we’re good!” from Ross on an email chain with the venue. So, we believed that Ross was ignoring our communication because there was no problem. OK, that’s fine - we were just glad to have the music.
The day came. Last minute, I was whisked away from my wedding duties just before everything was about to start. The players refused to perform. It was below 60, and they cited their contract over and over. I showed them emails from Ross where he says “50 is the hard cut-off”. This just made them uncomfortable. The disconnect within this team ultimately cost us hours of music, our precious few moments before our ceremony, and all of our money. That’s right - we’ve received no money back. We paid for 2 hours of music, and got 7 or 8 minutes.
I’m not a crazy person who runs to online reviews. I’m not a ranter and a raver. But this situation is incredibly disappointing and I need to warn anyone else who considers the Morris String Quartet in any kind of semi-cool environment. It’s not going to be worth the miscommunication. -
