    Wedding 3.22.24

    Gina is amazing to work with. We have used her multiple times for different occasions, but the work she did for our wedding was outstanding. She was able to recreate our vision and give us exactly what we wanted. Could not have asked for anything more. Will continue to work with her for all upcoming events.

    Beyond My Expectations

    We hired More Than A Gift after seeing a positive review of them on Facebook. Easily one of the best vendors we used! Their prices were just right for my budget. They were extremely accommodating with me, giving me exactly what I wanted. I brought pictures of the bouquets I wanted and they absolutely surpassed my expectations! The flowers were all beautiful, healthy, bright, and very full! Would highly recommend!

    So happy I found More than a Gift

    I was so happy with the all of the flowers at my wedding. Gina was so easy to work with - she is super friendly and was so flexible with changes and additions that I had last minute. She did an incredible job and at such an affordable price. Highly, highly recommend.

    The best florist around!

    Gina is absolutely incredible - I couldn’t have been happier choosing More than a gift for our florist. She is so easy to work with and her work is beautiful! It is easy to tell that her work is of the highest quality. All the decor and bouquets were stunning and are still fresh!

    Would recommend to anyone and everyone!!!

    THE BEST! We had our wedding at Seasons Catering on December 21st and the flowers were absolutely incredible. Gina took the time to really get to know what I liked and what my style was. She gave her expert opinions when I asked her and she really knows what she is doing! She put together my vision perfectly and I couldn’t have been happier with her work. I will use her and the company for every one of my future events and will recommend her to everyone and anyone!

    Thank you, Gina!

    Gina was a joy to work with-- I needed centerpieces, an arch for our outdoor ceremony, bridesmaid + bride bouquets, and bouts for our guys, and her quote was half of what we had been getting for beautiful flowers. A part of me thought they might not come out as well the day of, but everything was GORGEOUS. I still can't get over our flowers! The day before the wedding, my mom decided she wanted a corsage + wanted to add one for my MIL as well, and Gina didn't bat an eye. Then a couple hours later, we decided we would have a flower girl.. Gina threw in the flower petals and even offered to give us a basket, for no extra charge. Thank you so much for making everything so easy and beautiful!

    Highly Recommend!

    Gina was a delight to work with. She was very accommodating and professional. She went above and beyond to make us feel special. More Than A Gift made our bouquets and boutonnieres, provided the flowers for the centerpieces and mason jars on shepherd hooks. They made the cake topper and 2 beautiful flower arrangements for our ceremony. They helped bring our wedding vision to light. We highly recommend More Than A Gift.

    Professional and talented

    I used More Than A Gift for my wedding and I highly recommend them. Gina is so kind, patient, and helpful. She was able to give me recommendations for in-season (ie, cheaper) flowers that still matched the romantic look I was going for. The bouquets, centerpieces, and arrangements for the ceremony arch all came out beautifully. I highly recommend Gina. She is very professional and incredibly fair with pricing.

    I am still in awe of how beautiful everything was!!!!

    My husband and I decided to use More Than a Gift for both our wedding flowers, decorations and invitations. If I could do it all over I would chose her again in a heartbeat! Gina and her crew are so incredibly talented that I am still in awe of how beautiful everything was. She is so personable and friendly that working with her feels easy when you're surrounded by all the other stresses weddings often bring. She was able to bring our wedding vision to life by helping us step by step with our wedding invitations and floral decorations. I would recommend her to any new couples looking for a florist for any and all occasions. Truly a pleasure!!!

    Gina and her crew are THE BEST!

    Can’t say enough positive things about Gina and her crew. The initial consultation was easy, we showed her pictures of ideas we had and that was all it took. She came back with the entire idea and theme planned out, when some of the flowers ended up being more expensive than we’d planned for, she gave us countless alternatives at friendlier prices, and different ideas for us to help stretch our budget further. On the actual day itself she did an incredible job with not only the flowers and centerpieces, but also all of those little extra details and decorations. Did I mention that I’m the groom? I went in thinking I could care less about the flowers, but if Gina has an opening on your wedding date, don’t hesitate. My wife and I could not be more thrilled with how everything turned out for our wedding day, it exceeded our expectations by a mile!!

    Love love love

    If there was more stars to give Gina I would!!!! She is amazing, her and her family and crew are just incredible! They have so much patience! My wedding came out beautiful and it was all thanks to her, she saw my vision/dream and did 100x more then what I dreamed of! I could not thank you guys enough!!!     Gina was exceptional I met with her well before my wedding and gave her all my ideas and she helped me with some. Then of course as time passed and our day got closer, I kept changing what I wanted and Gina was so accommodating and it didn't even bother her (or at least I couldn't notice). Thank you so much for your beautiful arrangements, I truly loved everything and we are so appreciative of your creativity!!

    Gina is more than a gift to everyone she works with. We got married June 3 2017. I cant believe its been almost a year from the GREATEST day of our lives. She made our wedding day very special. Gina worked with us to create our vision and deliver it in real life. She has a true talent for Flowers and everything you might need for your wedding. Gina helped us with our invitations and her ideas were great and were able to stay on budget and make something elegant and modern that everyone loved.     GINA IS THE BEST YOU CAN GET. Her work is to die for. She was amazing and always so patient with me. Every detail she put into everything was amazing. She helped me with my wedding a lot I would do it all over again with her. Not only did she do my flowers she did help me with my invites WHICH THEY WERE GORGEOUS she also did my decorations for my bridal shower. She is my to go girl for everything now. You WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED WITH HER. I LOVE HER AS A PERSON and her WORK!!

    More Than a Gift is your absolute must-have for any occasion requiring floral arrangements. Gina provided the flowers for both my bridal shower and wedding day and I cannot begin to express how incredibly beautiful they were not to mention in our budget. What I love about Gina is she really listens to her clients. I told her our budget and the look I was going for and she was able to create such beautiful centerpieces and floral arrangements to help us stay under budget. She's so honest too which I also loved. If she doesn't think something will look right she will politely let you know which I really appreciate. She's been in this business a long time and it definitely shows in her quality of work. Gina will absolutely be my go-to for any future special occasion.

    What can I say about Gina and her shop... Her work speaks for itself! She was very helpful, respectful, and friendly. At times I felt I was bothering too much, but she always cordial and answered all my concerns. Gina did my centerpieces, which turned out beautiful! We also rented table runners and an overlay for my sweetheart table. I also wanted wooden signs for my ceremony and reception, Gina delivered! We added a few more things along the way and it was just amazing. I cannot express how amazed I was how everything turned out. I couldn't have asked for anything better. From now on, on any other occasion, I will call Gina!

    There is only 1 word to best describe Gina at More than a Gift, Outstanding! She is simply the best, no matter what event is going on in our lives, we always go to Gina. We know that we are getting the best deal as well as someone who truly loves what she does! She did my bridal shower for me as well as my wedding last week (September 3, 2016) I would not go anywhere else. Not only does she do flowers, but she does favors, rentals, seating charts, there is simply nothing she does not do!

    Our wedding was a dream come true, the flowers are still a hot topic with our guests. We also rented table numbers and the sequence runners to give the tables a bit more detail. Simply amazing, i cannot wait to see it on film. Gina you and your team are the BEST! Your passion reflects in your work and that is why you will always be successful.

    Our wedding was on November 6, 2015 and I would like to thank Gina at "More Than A Gift" for creating the most beautiful atmosphere for such a beautiful celebration!
    My bouquet and the bridesmaid's bouquets were absolutely gorgeous!
    We were married at the venue and when the maitre'd walked us in to show us the room I cried tears of happiness. Everything looked so beautiful and was put together with such professionalism.
    In addition to the bouquets and centerpieces, Gina also added candles and a runner to the aisle to create a romantic ambiance and table runners for the reception that matched our theme.
    I would like to thank Gina and her team for making our wedding so beautiful. Luis and I are grateful for ALL of your hard work and creativity. I highly recommend More Than A Gift if you are looking for a shop that can bring creativity, beauty and professionalism at an affordable price.

    I cannot explain what an amazing job Gina did on my flowers for my wedding! I went in there with minimal ideas and she knew exactly what I wanted and all her ideas were spot on! She is great at what she does and to top it off she is thee sweetest person. I was more than happy with everything and cannot wait to have to use Gina again for future parties!

    There aren't enough words available to compliment Gina with!! She is absolutely AMAZING at what she does! I recommended EVERYONE to her! Not only is Gina amazing at what she does but she is the sweetest person, she truly makes you feel like your family when she works with you! The flowers for my wedding were beyond gorgeous!!! My centerpieces, sweetheart table, and place card table were beautifully done! She was SO helpful during the whole process and worked with our budget amazingly!!!!! I have already used her again after my wedding and will continue to use her amazing services!!!     I recommend More Than a Gift to everyone! Gina is great, I had the best expire nice ever with her and her work. I couldn't have picture my wedding better than what it came out. It was more than perfect, and much beautiful than what we expected. We love every single detail do the decoration. I would keep using their service everytime I need decoration. Thank you Gina!

    The flowers were exceptional. The center pieces turned out better than we could have hoped for. Excellent advice as to which flower arrangements will go nice with your respective venue and in accordance with the weddings colors. Extremely flexible and kind. I promise you that you will get way more than you pay for. I just recommended More Than A Gift to my best man who is getting married sometime in early 2017. I will continue to recommend this place because thats how pleased we were with our service. I suggest that you stop in and see for yourself. Thank you guys!

    Even though my wedding is still a few months out I wanted to write a review to say how pleased I have been working with Gina at More Than a Gift. We are using her for multiple services including our flowers and our invitations.
    We picked up our invitations this week and are extremely happy with them. She is a very creative and professional woman who understands your wants but can also provide her professional input and creativity. In addition to everything else I previously said, I would also like to share that her prices are extremely competitive considering the caliber of her work. I highly recommend More Than A Gift and cannot wait to see my flowers on my wedding day! Thanks Gina :)

    Gina's hard work, dedication and patience really shined through her work on our big day. I most certainly was not the most precise bride that walked into her shop, I had many or too few ideas and Gina knew exactly how to work with me. When I walked into Gina's shop, I had no idea where to begin or what I wanted, Gina's gave me a few ideas and allowed me to work with them; a few months before our wedding, I did a completely 180 on Gina and changed my entire order. Gina didn't even flinch, instead she went over to get a new form and started over with me. She was very through about how certain flowers would look on our wedding season and her own opinion on some of my ideas. Never pushy but always suggestive... On the day of the wedding, with all the chaos going on, the flowers arrived not only on time to both my and the grooms house but all was labeled perfectly so we knew who got what.
    We just wanted to thank Gina for all her handwork and patience with us. Keep doing what you're doing, you are truly an asset to the flower/gift shop industry!

She was so willing to work with me and my ideas and helped make my daughter's Baptism beautiful. She played off my shades of purple theme and created beautiful favor tags, menu cards, centerpieces and even helped me set up a candy/dessert bar. She also went out of her way to get us the favors we wanted delivered on time for our event. Gina and her team at More Than a Gift are truly amazing!

    From our first meeting with Maria I knew that she knew her stuff and would make my vision a reality. Maria is full of ideas, is realistic, and organized. I don't know much about flowers but with her patience she was able to put my vision into words and execute it flawlessly. Her prices are reasonable and she makes recommendations with your budget in mind. The day of, the wedding all of the flowers were perfect and exactly what I wanted!     Gina is so nice and so helpful, it was an absolute pleasure to work with her! We were indecisive about a lot of things and she was so patient in helping us figure out what would work well for our wedding. We were going for a simpler look and Gina did not try to push things on us like other florists might have. The day of the wedding I was completely speechless when I saw the flowers because they were just absolutely beautiful. The bouquets were the perfect size and she did such an amazing job combining different types of flowers. The centerpieces were perfectly put together and they really transformed the hall. When we looked at pictures from the wedding I could not be happier that it was Gina's flowers and decorations in my pictures. We could not have chosen a better person to work with and I will definitely be recommending her services to family and friends.

    I can't even say enough nice things about Gina. She did our wedding on 10-11-14. Not only did she help me complete the decor for our aisle (which of course I couldn't figure out how to finish), but she understood my vision, and even went beyond it.
    She was the only florist I met with that was truly excited about meeting me and being a part of our special day, and I felt like I was working with her the whole time. She was knowledgable, friendly, and had great suggestions. Can't even beat the prices she gave us. I will never again use another florist for any event.
    Our centerpieces are still being raved about, and my aunts all fought over who would get to take them all home!! And that is rare!
    Do yourself, your guests, and your wedding a favor, and go with Gina!

    My wedding was April 5, 2014 and Gina came recommended to me by my fiancé's co-worker who had used her for her wedding. All I can say is WOW! Gina is absolutely fantastic! We met only 3 times and she not only got my vision, she did it at a fantastic price point! Everyone raved about the gorgeous centerpieces and bouquets! I had wanted peonies for my bouquet but because of how early my wedding was, that was almost next to impossible. Well, Gina surprised me the day of my wedding and managed to get me pink peonies and incorporated it into my bouquet at no extra cost! She was amazing to work with, very professional, always answered my emails quickly and worked hard to give me the vision I had wanted on a budget. Overall, I am so thrilled that I had the opportunity to work with her. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a wonderful florist, not only for a wedding, but for any special occasion!!

    What an amazing talent Gina has! She was great from the consultation to the wedding!!!! We were so happy to find someone who had ideas of a fun centerpiece that didn't include typical flowers! So different and great colors that complemented my colors of plum, midnight blue and gold, instead of just throwing more of the same color down. My wedding was over a month ago, and the pieces are still in people's houses (mine included) because they dried so beautifully that they still look fantastic! She worked with materials we gave her, the birdcages, pins, bows, unity sand etc... The sample was so helpful, and free! She was so kind to add a lot of little touches, like adding a pin for the groom and mom's and dad's since my bouquet was made with silks and brooches. She was also so open for helping everything, setting up our unity sand, bows his mother made for the "pews" and even the signature frame we had for guests to sign. She was the perfect person to work with. People kept asking if I hired a planner, I didn't, I just hired good, talented and passionate people who love their jobs and do them so well, that there was so little for us to do! Everything was so smooth and Gina was absolutely a big part of that. Worth every penny!

    I had my daughters christening in January and was in such awe at how beautiful the hall looked when we arrived. The centerpieces, table cloths and seat covers made the room look absolutely elegant. We had 2 different couples come up to us and ask who did the decorating because everything looked sooo wonderful and they wanted to do something similar for their events.

    You were so easy to talk to and you had such great ideas. I was a little hesitant with the pink and gray theme but you were absolutely right, it all blended in so beautifully. Words cannot express how appreciative we are that you helped make our little princesses memorable.

    Our center pieces were breathtaking! Our guests thought they were provided by Nanina's in the Park (our venue) and couldn't believe it when we told them they could take them home!

    Our bouquets were elegant and very tasteful... Black magic roses! To die for! Gina was a pleasure to work with, flexible, professional, and talented.     Planning my wedding was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. I couldn't make up my mind on anything, which was driving everyone crazy... When looking for a florist I was quickly recommended, More Than A Gift." From the moment I met Gina I knew it was all going to turn out beautiful. My flowers were tropical and yet affordable...
    The minute people walked into the restaurant they were already deciding on who was going to take the flowers home that night. People loved the flowers so much that they did whatever they could to make sure that they were theirs. For example, a friend of mine fell in love with our center pieces immediately and asked if it would be okay for her to keep them. Being that her birthday was coming up everyone agreed, but one of the couples at the table kept quiet and waited patiently for the perfect time to make their move. While everyone was on the dance floor the woman ran to get the car while her husband ran down the stairs with the large bouquet. My friend was so upset and couldn't believe what happened... As the party came to a close she asked me if there were any extra bouquets and except for the DJ table Gina's amazing work was already gone....
    Looking back at the wedding pictures and video my family can't help, but still talk about my wonderful centerpieces.
    I couldn't be more thankful for being introduced to Gina and her wonderful work. A business woman with her talent is going to go far and I hope her nothing, but success.

    I have to say from the moment i saw Gina's arrangements, there was no doubt in my mind she would be the magical genius to add that touch to my wedding. I have to say when i first saw the "sample" arrangement i was blow away by how she made something i didnt want (greenery) work in the arrangement.. i was sold at that point. Gina was very personable and sweet, she is a great person to work with, she will give her honest opinion but in the end what the bride wants she will deliver. I could have not had it any other way. my wedding looked like the perfect fairy tale, thanks to Gina and her creativity and her eye for detail. Thank you soo much for making it so special.. If your looking for a florist who is an artist and good at what they do, look no further, Gina is the person to see.

    If you need flowers for any occasion, look no further!!! Gina was a joy to work with! She has a great ability to listen to your vision and make it a reality. Her creations were beautiful! I received a ton of comments about my centerpieces. She is reliable, professional, responsive and overall a really nice, sweet and fun person! I highly recommend working with Gina!

    I met with Gina from More Than a Gift to possibly have her do my centerpieces, bridal party bouquets and boutonnieres, flower for the cake, and rent an isle runner. She sat with me for a long period of time without rushing me and showed me some great ideas she had based on my preferences. I was then able to finally make up my mind and pick out all the flowers i needed. She set everything up on the day of my wedding, since it was raining she had to make a few last minute changes which she kept me updated on. Her professionalism and knowledge assured me that i didn't have to worry and I was at ease knowing she was taking care of everything for me. I truly recommend this company to any bride out there, things get very hectic during wedding planning and especially on your wedding day . Gina makes sure everything is taken care of for you. She is very cost effective and helped me choose beautiful arrangements and flowers that were within my budget. I got various compliments on my decoration during my wedding. If you want a florist that is reliable, professional, and competent choose this company, you will not be disappointed. Her work was worth every penny and more!

    Gina and the staff at More than a gift were absolutely amazing. Gina was available for me at a moments notice. She will be the party planner for alll my events. I gave her almost no notice for my wedding and I could have not asked for a more beautiful and amazing wedding everyone complimented the decor and flowers. I have told all my friends about her. We will be using her again very soon for our next special event.

    one word to describe this woman is AMAZING! my husband is currently stationed in tx and my fam and i had to put this wedding together maria was nothing more than amazing my centerpieces and flowers were breathtaking they really made our wedding absolutley perfect and ill NEVER forget that i will recommend her to everyone

    Gina did a beautiful job on my special day. I found out about her business through a family friend, and am so grateful for it. She is very skilled at what she does, and her pricing is unbeatable. More importantly, she was a pleasure to work with. Since I don't live in the state and was too busy with school, she was very accommodating with interacting with my mom in person and me on the phone. She even did a wonderful job of coordinating everything with the difficult color I chose- coral. Despite not having too much time to decorate my venue (flowers and chairs!), her work was still perfect and artistic. All her products, including my bouquet, were so pretty. I highly recommend Gina and her business :)

    Working with Gina and all of the staff at More Than a Gift was a pleasure. My first contact with Gina was on my Bridal Shower about four months before my wedding. A couple hours before the shower my mom decided to rent one of those shower's chair and Gina was the only one that was able to accommodate her request on a short notice. Weeks later, my fiancé and I went to get prices just for the seating scroll, but we ended up falling in love with her work and her more than affordable prices and decided to do all of our decorations with her. She was great giving revisions to to my fiancés vision and directing us to the right way. She was always friendly, very professional, and willing to accommodate anything you would like or needed. On the day of the wedding...my bouquet and the girls were beautiful, the colors the sizes were perfect. The church was decorated with lighted branches...it was simply breath taking. The reception was simply stunning!! It had the WOW FACTOR that we wanted. Everything turned out above and beyond what we had imagined.
    Thanks for being there for us and making our dream come true!!

    What can I say?! From the moment I meet Gina she was open with ideas and suggestions! To me what was most important, she was honest! Gina was able to get the ideas I brought to her and create something that was within my budget and something I fell in love with! To say I was happy and satisfied with her work is an understatement! I truly recommend Gina to anyone and everyone for whatever the occasion is!!! Thanks to her great work and the love she has for her customers my wedding day was that much more complete!!!!

    Gina and her staff at More Than A Gift are truly AMAZING! Gina is so creative; the ideas she had suggested were exactly what we wanted. Lilliana was incredibly helpful with my invitations. I received so many compliments on my bouquet, my girl’s bouquet the way our church was decorated and also our magnificent centerpieces. Everything turned out above and beyond what we had imagined.     I worked with Gina for my invitations, favors, framed seating chart, and guestbook canvas. She was very professional, and willing to accomodate anything you would like. My invitations were very affordable, and looked beautiful!! My favors were also beautiful and affordable and I loved that I didn't have to wrap them myself because the price with wrapping was so affordable. Gina was able to accomodate my seating chart and guestbook canvas print at the last minute without a complaint. I would definitely recommend her to all brides or anyone planning a party! Thanks so much Gina!!

    Love Love Love LOVE Gina and her shop. I did change my flowers twice, not too extreme but she didn't seem to mind it at all. I never saw a full sample (due to season) of my centerpieces and she promised me it would come out beautiful. I also never saw my bouquet AND two days before my wedding my original flowers died in the crazy snowstorm we had in October. She told me about that over the phone and I didn't flip out, she suggested other flowers and I am so happy with what she picked for me.

    Everything came out perfectly and much better than what I expected in my head. Gina is sweet and fantastic and I would use her again for future events.

    Gina and her staff are fantastic! She was great to work with and delivered above and beyond what we had talked about! Everyone is still talking about our event and all the details!     OMG Gina was so phenomenal!!! I came to her about a year before my wedding with tons of ideas ...she definately pointed me in the right direction. After tons of emails and phone calls about me changing my mind and asking for flower advice she was always pleasant and more than willing to help. She even let me drop of things like the unity candles as well as things for the reception so she could set them up for me.
    The day of..My bouquet and my girls bouquets ..just STUNNING! Everything I ever asked for and wanted she did beautifully!!! The church..Gorgeous!!! I even got compliments from the people who attended the ceremony..right after the ceremony! As soon as we pulled into the reception the Major Dee came up to us and said " Your flowers are amazing! The florist nailed everything!" So needless to say I was very excited to see everything and boy we were not disappointed in anyway! It was like my vision come to life! I'm so glad I found More than a Gift and I tell everyone to go see Gina for flowers! She is AWESOME!

    I was referred to this vendor by my hairdresser who had used More Than a Gift for her wedding. When I saw the pictures of her centerpieces I was beyond impressed and knew I had to use More than a Gift. When I met with Maria Gina Henriques she took her time with me and helped me to create the exact vision of what I had in mind. She is incredibly knowledgeable about flowers (as far as what is in season and will work) and she helped me to do what I wanted on my budget. Her ideas were fantastic and she has a great artistic eye. My wedding was 1.5 hours from her company area and she had all of the bouquets, centerpieces, and flowers set up well before the event started. She delivered and set up flowers to 3 separate addresses--she is amazing in my book. All the guests talked about was how beautiful the centerpieces were (I had floating candles with orchids) at the reception and how beautiful the flowers were at the church. She is incredibly professional and really works with you as a client. I would definitely use her again for any event. Her centerpieces "stole the show" at the reception!

    I worked with Gina of More Than A Gift for my table linen rentals. I wanted to be sure to match the color of the fabrics to the wedding color scheme and get the perfect fabrics for the tables and chair sashes. Gina was able to do just that for me!

    She was persistent in bringing my vision into reality and worked extremely hard to get just the perfect fit. It was truly a pleasure to work with her as she contacted many different distributors until we found the perfect linens at the best possible price. Without Gina's help the overall look of the reception would not have been perfect. She went above and beyond for my husband and I and I would recommend her to any bride looking to complete their wedding with the perfect details!

    Working with Gina and all of the staff at More Than a Gift was a pleasure. I am so happy that I trusted Gina with our special day. Gina was very helpful and guided me to choosing exactly what I wanted. When I was undecided she was kind enough to assemble various samples to give me a better idea. The week before my wedding I remember going to see her for all of the final touches and my aunt mentioned that she wanted everything to look "Breathtaking". That day when we walked in to the room we were overwhelmed by how amazing the flowers looked. As promised, the room was breathtaking and the centerpieces were amazing. The bouqets, groomsmen flowers, flowers at the church, and ofcourse my bouqet were beautiful. I also got a signing board and table seating chart that were placed at the entrance of the cocktail hour.     I used MORE THAN A GIFT for my wedding and I was so happy with my decision. Gina is an amazing person to work with. She did my flowers, the bridal party, tables, save the dates, inviations, scroll seating chart, bird cage and so much more. I wanted something different and that's exactly what she gave me and ALL for a very reasonable price. My sister has used Gina for other events and I personally can't wait to work with her again.

    Gina from More Than a Gift did my son's Christening in October. Her work is simply amazing. I had tears in my eyes when I walked into the room and saw how beautiful and elegant everything looked. Her prices are very reasonable. Definetely recommend More than a Gift for any occassion. Worth the trip into the Ironbound section of Newark to see Gina.
