We interviewed several DJs and never felt comfortable with any of them. We finally found Sawyer and it was like finding a long lost friend. He is so nice and professional. He is super knowledgeable about the Tahoe area. He kept the party going to the last minute. Our fiends are still talking about how great the DJ was as a person and as a DJ! My husband and I talked about our favorite parts of our wedding day and the reception is in the top 3. Thank you Sawyer!!

Our Perfect Night
Sawyer did an amazing job. He was super flexible through out the night of our wedding, when our schedule had some changes he was quick to make adjustments. He also did a great job helping keep track of the night for us so we didn't miss anything. While setting up the floor plan and schedule for the evening he gave us insightful advice on the venue that gave the night an amazing flow. He did an amazing job creating an atmosphere with the music we chose and kept the party going till the end of the night.

Best Wedding DJ in the Sierras!
DJ Sawyer is a true professional when it comes to events! We booked him for our summer wedding in Tahoe and he was nothing short of excellent from the beginning of planning our day until the music stopped at the end of the evening. He was timely, engaging, and fun to work with throughout the process. He even had incredible suggestions on our day-of timeline and what would be the best for the energy of ourselves and our guests throughout the day. Best Ever! I first used MMDJ in 2015 for first daughters wedding then again in 2016 for my second and then was incredible happy he was available again in 2022 for my last daughters wedding. He is extremely organized, efficient and coordinates very well with whoever is running the wedding. I honestly believe he is what made all three of those weddings so much fun and memorable! Lots of compliments from guests and he is super professional and was genuinely happy for the bride and groom. Will recommend to everyone!

Exactly what we were looking
Sawyer was a diamond in the rough. My original DJ cancelled on me two months, or so before my wedding (for Health reasons). I did not panic but I also didn't just want to book anyone last minute. I did my research and scheduled a few phone and video meetings with prospects. I knew with talking with Sawyer on our first consult phone call that he was the one. His energy was exceptional and he understood what types of music I was looking for. He was easy to get ahold of throughout the process if I had a question. On the day of my wedding, I was excited to meet all my vendors in person. Mr. Sawyer attended looking very professional and he was so kind from the get. He definitely assisted in the flow of our timeline and was an attentive host. The songs were so right, and all of our guests were so pleased with him. I ended up allowing guests to requests songs because overall we all like the same genres. We had such a fun experience and such a fun night. We definitely took advantage of our dance floor. He is the BEST!
Having everyone on the dance floor all night was one of our top priorities and Sawyer delivered! We had different vibes for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception and Sawyer nailed all three. From our short phone conversation he understood exactly what we were looking for and helped us pick out some key songs. I'm so glad we took his suggestions for changing the timeline our wedding planner had because they worked out so well. He really understands how to keep a crowd engaged. I honestly spent the entire night dancing and all of our guests had the most amazing time. We had so many friends compliment us on what an awesome DJ we had!

Sawyer was incredible! Together, he and I (bride) hand selected music for our big day. He catered to all ages, races, and genders!! Super personable and attentive. The best part is, we didn’t have a wedding coordinator and he stepped into that role perfectly. Making sure everything ran smooth from ceremony to the last dance.

The best day of our lives!
We had a wonderful time dancing the night away at our best friend's wedding way back in 2017. Once it came time to start planning our own wedding in 2021, we knew we wanted to find the same DJ! Sawyer was the absolute best! Can't recommend him highly enough. He was in touch well in advance of the wedding helping us plan the small and big details, and was willing to go above and beyond to make our vision a reality. On the wedding day, he showed up early to get all of his equipment in place and to coordinate with the vocalist we had for the ceremony. When myself and the groom arrived at the venue, he was there for every step of the day to make us as comfortable as possible and to let us know what to expect. He was a true professional and knew exactly what we needed to do to make it a smooth day! At the same time, he brought the party and had the dance floor going the entire night. His awesome setup with lights for the dance floor was an added bonus, and he knew exactly what songs to play depending on the timing of the evening to keep the energy going. More than a DJ
Sawyer was the DJ for my wedding reception and did an outstanding job from beginning to end. Not only did he cover multiple genres (Bollywood, EDM & more) for a diverse group, he masterfully navigated the crowd and created a fun, energetic atmosphere. Everyone had a good time. Never in our lives had we seen our families dance so much. It was really nice to see that. Sawyer was also willing to extend for 2 additional hours on the fly as my group did not want to stop which I really appreciate.
Before I had never considered how important of a role the DJ plays in all of this. I had inquired with multiple DJs and Sawyer was the only one that actually took the time and effort to build a genuine connection with me while covering all the details until I was good. During the reception Sawyer also acted as a coordinator, managing the timeline and execution of events (toasts, cake cutting, first dance).
Sawyer was everything I had expected and more!

Honestly, my husband and I can't say enough good things about Sawyer. From our initial conversation to the very end of of special day, he was amazing. He was so organized, easy going, flowed with our ever changing dates and details (thanks to COVID) and was the sweetest most encouraging vendor through it all. Sawyer was the farthest thing from your typical DJ, and I mean this in the best way possible. He didn't just play whatever he wanted or just play the "best new songs" he actually custom tailored a playlist for us with all of our favorite songs and more. He knows how to read the crowd and keep people entertained throughout the entire night. Every one of our guest danced all night long(never leaving the dance floor) and raved about "Sawyer" and how he was everyone's first choice if they ever hosted a party. We could go on and on about Sawyer and how amazing he was from start to finish and how he just felt like family from the start, but if you are looking for a Dj for your event whether that's 50 or 150 look no further and book Sawyer.
He's the Best and we are so grateful we had him, can't wait to book him again.

Best Tahoe DJ there is!
Sawyer absolutely showed up 110% for us at our wedding in the middle of a pandemic. He brought his own lights, helped keep the vibe of the party rolling and mingled with the vendors and guests so he felt like he was apart of our wedding just as much as the next person. We had a small 50 person wedding and Sawyer made sure that each and every person giving a speech had a mic, knew when they were going to speak and even prepared them long ahead of time that it was happening. As the bride, I knew I was in good hands and could just let him work his magic. On your wedding day, that is truly a gift to be able to know that everything is in control. I would recommend Sawyer to anyone looking for an organized, professional, good-time having pal and DJ.

Best DJ in Tahoe no question
I'm a videographer and have shot 2 weddings now with Sawyer as the DJ. I have shot many weddings and no offense to other DJ's (there are obviously some good ones out there) but Sawyer is the only one I refer people to. As weird as it sounds, he has helped make my videos look more alive, as everyone feels the energy from Sawyer and he understands the flow of how the wedding is supposed to go and makes it happen with ease. No awkward silence, and he knows what he's doing! Book this guy 100%.

Sawyer dj'ed our wedding and I could not have been more happy with the turn out. Getting married in July of 2020, there were a lot of restrictions due to COVID, which Sawyer was well-aware of and very transparent with us about. Leading up to our wedding, he really got to know and understand our music preferences and it totally showed during our wedding and reception which turned out to be a blast. Not only was the music and overall vibe "on point", but he did all he could to make it a great night to remember.

The most lit wedding dance floor!!!
Holy smokes, Sawyer created SUCH a fun, club-banger, EDM vibe at our wedding. It’s no secret that 2020 has been awkward for wedding planning, and after multiple venue changes and guest list decreases, we were just hoping for one incredible celebration together as we tied the knot. We didn’t want a standard “wedding playlist” for our dance floor, and we made that clear in the beginning. Sawyer played some of the best remixes of songs that had our guests talking for days! We even brought a wacky-wavy guy on the dance floor and Sawyer incorporated him into the whole party. I can’t recommend him enough; he was attentive, listened to our requests while allowing his incredible talent to shine through, and was on time and such a wonderful emcee. Thank you, Sawyer!!
