A joy to have for our special day!

Alan was amazing! A lot of our planning was very last min and he was very accommodating to our schedules. For our first dance, we decided to blend an acoustic and original version of a song so we could get people on the dance floor. We told Alan a few days before our wedding and he quickly came back to us with a rough edit to sample in less than 24 hours! He was also very efficient in setting up & breakdown his equipment after the night was over. Moondance to the moon!!!

A wonderful waterfront wedding (thanks to Alan’s help)

My wife and I hired Alan to DJ for our wedding, and he could not have been more wonderful. He is incredibly accommodating, professional, kind, and just an all-around pleasure to work and interact with. He provided his mobile speaker for our pianist during the ceremony, and he even brought it out again at the end of the night so my wife and I could have a private dance away from the party. It was a lot to ask of him, but Alan did it eagerly and happily. That’s just the type of professional and person he is. If we ever need a DJ again, I will make sure to hire Moondance and ask for Alan specifically! Thank you again!

March wedding

We had the pleasure having Suzanne as our DJ for our March 2025 reception. Having eloped the year before, we really wanted to have the night feel more like a party and get to the dancing as fast as possible. Suzanne got our vision exactly. She played the best cocktail hour music during dinner, and honored our request to start playing dancing music pretty quickly after dinner was served. She stuck to our song list but played to the crowd. She started off with classics that our grandparents and older family members loved, and as the night got later, the dancing songs got better and better! Highly recommend!

Fantastic DJ

DJ Jack was perfect for our wedding! Our experience with him and Moondance Productions was even better than we expected. DJ Jack was willing to meet with us whenever we had questions throughout the planning process and genuinely listened to our requests. We had a relatively non-traditional wedding, (walking down the aisle to Lord of the Rings music and playing an eclectic mix of alt-folk and EDM at our reception) but DJ Jack pulled it off seamlessly. Plus, the uplighting that he set up was beautiful! Would definitely recommend!!

Awesome DJ to hire

Alan did a wonderful job at our wedding at the Glen Manor House this past month. He was responsive, professional, and took song requests from my guests. Alan did forget to stop my father-daughter dance at the time stamp I provided, but it turned out to be a funny moment! Thank you Alan.

Awesome DJ!!!

Suzanne DJ'ed both my brother and sister's weddings this past summer and was a hit with the whole family! Both couples had different musical tastes and each wedding was perfectly catered to their respective styles. Suzanne was incredibly organized and went over every detail prior to the wedding so on the day itself there weren't any questions and everything ran perfectly smoothly. She had everyone out on the dance floor at both weddings and many people commented on how awesome the music was! Highly recommend!

Moondance productions did a spectacular job at my daughter’s wedding. They were professional and followed all of my daughter’s wishes and expectations. Great Party

Our whole night was great. We had to postpone our wedding because of the pandemic and Moondance had no problem accommodating us. We worked with Suzanne and she made the whole event run smoothly. She found all the music we requested and made the night so much fun. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who needs a DJ.

Could not recommend enough

Alan and Sue are so much fun! They were fantastic to work with leading up to the wedding day and they were so professional and fun on wedding day! They kept us to our timeline, they played all of our requested songs, they really got the party going as much as possible (in covid times), and you can tell that they truly care about their clients. From start to finish working with Alan and Sue was wonderful. They are extremely responsive and want to help to make your wedding day everything you could have wanted. I truly could not recommend them enough!

So happy that Alan was our DJ!

I cannot say enough about how responsive, dedicated, and flexible Alan was in helping us with our wedding in CT on 9/28/19! He called us a few days before the wedding to finalize all of the details with us and we felt so comfortable going into our wedding, knowing that he was just as dedicated to our event as we were. I had even asked him for a specific instrumental ceremony song and he sent me several versions to choose from. I ended up using a different song for the ceremony and when we forgot to choose a last song for the reception, Alan played the original ceremony song that I had asked for. This was a really special detail that really shows his dedication and attention to details! We provided him with a song list and a do not play list and he stuck to our list completely! Our guests never left the dance floor. Despite having an early shuttle back to hotels, our guests stayed to dance until the very end of our reception! I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed having Alan as our DJ and we would book him again in a heartbeat! Any couple would be so lucky to have him at their wedding!

Awesome Wedding @ The North Beach Club House

Alan and Moondance Productions delivered on exactly what we were looking for on our wedding day. They were prompt on responding to emails and they really didn’t need any direction on setting up at The North Beach Club House which they are very familiar with. As the groom, one of the few responsibilities I had was creating a playlist and finding a DJ for the wedding. Alan was quick to get on the same page and essentially took the playlist I gave him and made it all work with the timing of the wedding which is exactly what we were looking for. Great value, phenomenal sound, and seamless audio for the ceremony, dinner, and of course the dancing. Thanks Alan!

Terrific DJs!

Suzanne DJ'd our June 2019 wedding and absolutely hit it out of the park. She is really well organized, helping us make our music list and getting a sense of what kind of feel we were looking for at our reception. So many of our guests came up to us to say that the music was excellent and that they had such a fun time. Suzanne made sure our wedding reception was an amazing dance party that everyone (myself included) will remember! If you want professional DJs who know how to bring the fun, go to Moondance.

Alan was amazing to work with!

We got married at the Newport Marriott and he set up and played our ceremony music, which was flawless and then moved upstairs to DJ the rest of the night.

Not only was he a great DJ, he was a great Emcee.

We communicated through email and phone. He was on time, extremely professional and friendly. My family couldn’t stop talking about how great he was! We gave him a playlist and he played every song! There were no issues! We can’t thank you enough!

Great DJ, Great Value!

My husband and I hired Moondance Productions for our wedding reception at Gracie's in Providence RI. Our DJ was Suzanne and she was great! We were able to keep in contact via email easily and had a phone meeting with her about 2 weeks prior to the actual wedding. She reviewed all of our information (name pronunciations, 'do-not-play' list, etc.) so we were all on the same page for the reception. She did a wonderful job and compared to other DJ services in the area I think the price was amazing!

Excellent experience

Alan was absolutely wonderful! We had a brunch wedding reception so it was definitely more relaxed but he kept the music going and all of our guests happy! He was especially great with the kids at our wedding, they were all curious about how he played the music and my nephew wanted to sing with one of the songs and he was just so good with them. Exactly the DJ we were looking for

I was nervous about finding a DJ for our wedding because I knew that the music can really make or break the reception experience and ambiance for everyone - so I was so relieved after we met with Alan from Moondance Productions, who was exactly what we were looking for: experienced, adaptable, and very perceptive. He knew exactly how to keep everyone on the dance floor and worked in music genres that we thought would appeal to our guests, and managed all night to keep the music completely in tune with the intimate feel we were hoping for. I couldn't believe how many compliments we were getting all night on how great the DJ was. Definitely recommend!

Moondance Productions, and Alan in particular, was one of the best parts of our wedding at an unbelievably reasonable price. Alan was extremely flexible and even took extra time to visit our venue as he was unfamiliar with the layout. We so appreciated his attention to detail, professionalism, and all of the tips he gave us through the planning process! We gave Alan a list of songs and every single one was played except for one (that we didn't even need) because he was able to read the crowd extremely well. We even received photos not even a day after the event - something so thoughtful, unexpected, and something we will treasure forever. Alan, thank you for making our day absolutely perfect. We are only hoping that we'll have a reason to hire your services again!!!!!

Alan Alan Alan you need 10 stars!!!! I reached out to him just over a month before my wedding because the other DJ I booked was not giving me a good feeling he was more than happy to help, gave us a great price, and pulled our wedding off even with all of my special requests!! I had song changes, had him do a small reading, he communicated with me amazingly well & gave GREAT advice. He even sent me a few pictures after. Alan was a great DJ. We could tell from our initial phone call that he was the laid back type of DJ that we wanted. No crazy call outs on the mic or crazy songs that we didn't want. He took our slightly different than average wedding playlist and worked through it so well, adding his own songs that fit in well, that he got much more dancing than we thought possible. We had a Halloween twist, and he played into that as well. Best night of our lives! Thanks Alan!

So happy with our choice of Moondance Productions for our DJ, lighting and Photo Booth! From the initial contact to the last dance, everything was smooth going. We received a discount for using all three services, and it made things very easy to have them provide all three. Alan did a great job keeping the dance floor packed and playing all of our requests. The photo booth was such a huge hit! I would recommend it to every couple planning a wedding! The up-lights were the perfect touch for our venue, which needed a little more lighting. Easily the easiest vendor I dealt with.

We were so happy with our choice of DJ Alan for our wedding. We chose a venue and a caterer that did not provide a wedding coordinator. Alan stepped right in, from lining us up for the ceremony, to showing us how to cut the cake. He kept the timing of the reception on track so we were able to get everything done by the time the photographer left. PLUS, he played all our songs and kept the dance floor busy all night with great music. To us he was much more than a DJ. A wedding professional all the way!

All I can say is that Alan is the BEST!! He always got back to me if I had any questions, was very reassuring if I had any concerns and he was a huge help with the day of planning! Suzanne of Moondance Productions was the DJ at our daughter's wedding. She did a great job as both the DJ and MC. She had us dancing all night and played all the songs requested by our guests. My daughter did not make a play list but had a list of "do not play" songs. Suzanne chose the perfect music for every part of the reception and kept a very low profile throughout the night. We kept announcements to a minimum but Suzanne knew exactly what to say and when, keeping us "on track." She was also very flexible and moved inside for the ceremony when the weather took a turn. I would highly recommend Suzanne and Moondance Productions--they were organized, easy to work with and very affordable.

This is THE DJ vendor to book. Sue was fantastic, she made the whole reception smooth and completely stress free. The whole reception was seamless thanks to her, she kept everyone dancing, entertained and everyone had such a blast. This is the only company I would recommend to others!! Alan was the DJ for our wedding at the North Beach Clubhouse on September 24, 2016. Alan was great to work with from start to finish. He was not only very professional but very knowledgeable on the flow of events throughout the evening. My husband and I were able to enjoy our wedding because Alan kept it running very smooth. He played a great mix of music that everyone loved and danced to all night long. We have a 6 month old daughter and some last minute changes needed to be made to our schedule for the evening and Alan was very flexible and accomodating. Wow! Alan was amazing at our wedding and kept the party going all night. He played all the songs we requested and then picked out songs on his own that meshed perfectly with the atmosphere we wanted. We got many rave reviews about him all night and afterwards! On top of that, he was a consummate professional, quick to respond to all of our questions and very clear about what he needed from us, and made everything very stress free for us. Alan has many years experience, had worked our venue many times before (huge plus for us!), and his pricing is beyond fair. We can't recommend him highly enough!

We had Alan as our DJ for our wedding. We provided him with a playlist of songs for the ceremony, reception, dinner, and a few songs for dancing. He played everything perfectly and was great at improvising songs for the dancing once our selections ran out. One of the biggest bonuses was that he was not the typical cheesy wedding DJ. He made announcements when necessary, was amazing at the introductions, and kept us all on schedule – but without the corny jokes trying to be funny and talking to the audience like they were children like I hate (ex: "How are you all doing tonight? ... I can't hear you, I said how are you all doing tonight??") They were also very reasonably priced in comparison to the other DJs I researched! We are extremely happy with our decision to go with Moondance and highly recommend them.

Pauline was a great DJ and made our wedding one we would not forget. The music for cocktail hour, dinner, and dance section were put together perfectly. We had people on the dance floor all night until the lights went back on at 11pm!

Alan at Moondance was amazing. He played every song we asked for, and was flexible, professional, and we truly appreciated everything he did to make our event a success. Alan played at my best friend's wedding, and we loved him there, and then booked him when we eventually got engaged. He did an excellent job- obviously knows what he is doing, and does it very well. It feels great to be so satisfied with your vendor choices, and Alan exceeded our expectations. He did a wonderful job, and we are so grateful. Thank you Moondance for an amazing event!!

We worked with Alan and couldn't have been happier with his flexibility, hard work, and great instinct for what kind of music was needed to keep the party going. We asked a lot of him. He had to set up music in several different areas of our venue and had every song we wanted cued up perfectly. I'm not sure if people were just saying this, but there seemed to be unanimous praise that our wedding was one of the most fun they've ever been to and a lot of that was thanks to the music.

PS: throw in a few extra hundred bucks and get the photo booth. It's worth it.

Suzanne at Moondance was wonderful to work with. My father and I changed our father/daughter dance song 3 times the week before the wedding and she accomodated all of our requests. My brother even surprised us with an elvis impersonator and he coordinated directly with Suzanne (she sought approval from my husband before the wedding). I highly recommend Moondance!

My wife and I recently hired Alan from Moondance for our wedding at Quidnessett Country Club in North Kingstown, RI. He did a tremendous job and we can't thank him enough! I had the pleasure of working with Suzanne from Moondance - one of the owners. From start to finish, it was really a great experience. We had a great meeting in person to start, and I could tell right off the bat that she was going to be a great DJ! She covered all the bases, and brought up things to consider that I hadn't thought of yet - which was really helpful! On the wedding day, she did the music and microphones for the ceremony as well as the rehearsal - she was VERY quick on her feet when a couple things popped up due to some little details that I had forgotten to take care of (whoops!) - she covered everything seamlessly and everything was exactly as I had hoped it would be. She was wonderful during the reception and I couldn't believe how FAST my guests were filling up the dance floor, and they stayed there the whole night! She was great at reading the crowd and knowing what to play when, and everybody had a blast!!

I had been told several times by recent brides during the planning process: A good DJ can make or break your reception! I think it's true, and I think Suzanne did a tremendous job in making our event into a great party! I would DEFINITELY recommend her!

This company (Alan) did a great job for our wedding and we got him through another friend that had him as their DJ. We were married at Hotel Viking in Newport, RI and it involved moving from the chapel to the reception area and there were no complaints. The music was spot on all night and he did a great job of mixing in classic songs for the older guests and newer songs that we wanted for the younger crowd. The dance floor was packed all night and he ended the night exactly the way we wanted. I would definitely recommend him to anyone that is looking for a professional and quality of service.

Mike was our DJ and we LOVED him. Our friends still talk about how awesome our DJ was! He was extremely personable and blended in very easily - no cheesy gimmicks or voices, just an awesome straightforward DJ and MC -- and he managed to pronounce every name correctly (not easy with two very difficult family names marrying each other!).

The night flew by and we were worried we would only have an hour left for dancing (a major priority of ours!) - and Mike generously offered to stay late/play music until the venue kicked him out! The extra half-hour of music made all the difference for us and was SO much fun. He played ALL of the songs we requested, NONE of the songs we put on our "do not play" list, and a bunch of GREAT songs in between.

The quality we got was beyond what we expected, given this was one of the best prices we found! We were thrilled and our night was perfect. Thank you Mike!!

Sue and Alan did an amazing job with our wedding. They were very professional, and did a great job controlling the flow. We were able to have a successful cocktail hour, and then everyone (including our grandparents) were on the dance floor.

Getting ready for the wedding was a breeze. We met with them a few times, and they did the rest. We would recommend them for any wedding.

We had Moondance Productions DJ our event and Suzanne was excellent! We opted for a DJ over a band because it allowed us to play a greater variety of music, and we wanted to hear the original versions of songs instead of covers. We had jazz, big band and Motown playing for the cocktail hour and dinner and we wanted a variety of songs from different genres to dance to and Suzanne really respected our playlist – she played almost all, if not every, song we asked for and everyone was dancing all night! We even had some rather obscure songs (indie bands and europop - not just typical top 40) and she played it all.

Suzanne was so easy to work with too and she and the company are extremely professional. The best man had a very high quality production made for the event and he and Suzanne worked together with the venue to put it on and it went off perfectly.

Suzanne was definitely MC extraordinaire. I felt like I did not have to worry about a thing all night - it all went off without a hitch and she controlled the flow and tempo of the events and the announcements perfectly. She worked with the venue too, so I didn't have to get involved - she really did a great job.

If you are looking to hire a DJ for your event, I cannot recommend Moondance highly enough. We were out of the area planning our wedding and went with Moondance based purely on a recommendation, which could have been a huge gamble, but we really had nothing to worry about in working with them: they were stellar and I think all of our guests would agree!

If I had to give one word for Suzanne Hughes and Moondance Productions it would be professional. Everything about the music was perfect. She asked for a list of music and stuck to it. The mood jazz music before the reception was great. She worked with the best man who had a professional video to present. I could not say a bad thing about Moondance. Alan was our DJ, and he was amazing. He was completely comfortable with tailoring everything to our fairly unique reception (reception a week after the ceremony/strange orientation of the building/buffet tables set up on dance floor for first couple of hours). He completely rolled with the punches and delivered amazing music perfectly tailored to our interests/requests. We are not the type to want the zany/wacky DJs, and Alan was perfect. Highly outgoing when making announcements, but not taking over the night. All-around, I felt that Moondance was the best value I got out of all of my wedding vendors.

Pauline from Moondance really made our Wedding day come together flawless! Our guests of all age groups couldn't rave enough about what an awesome job she did with the arrangements from our onsite ceremony to our cocktail hour/dinner music and then dance party music throughout the evening. She made it a blast for all!! Pauline was attentive with every detail helping us through. Pauline let us pick our music and she arranged it perfectly. Can't say enough on what a wonderful job she did, after all music really makes the night. I had a terrific experience with DJ Pauline Pinto of Moondance Productions. What I loved the most about Pauline was her immediate and personal responsiveness to my every request/inquiry - from our first contact all the way through our actual event. Pauline was our DJ for our engagement party and I didn't want a loud or "strobe light" kind of feeling for our event which was held on a farm. I wanted ambient music, and that is exactly what Pauline provided. I wanted music that had personal meaning, but that would also get my crowd going when it was time to dance - Pauline worked with us to achieve both of those goals. She was on time, dressed professionally, worked alone and required no help on our parts. I would recommend her to anyone, time and time again.

I recently held my wedding at Ocean Cliff in Newport, RI and selected Alan as my DJ from Moondance. Prior to choosing Alan, I had spoken to a million different DJ companies. They were all extremely expensive and didnt seem to give you that warm positive feeling you look for when hiring someone for such an important day. Then I came across Moondance on a list of recommended OC vendors. He was quick to respond, very professional, and reasonably priced. From beginning to end he made the process so easy. He is a great DJ and an even better person! I would definately recommend Alan and Moondance. They had us all dancing at the wedding and were a pleasure to deal with.. Alan at Moondace was fantastic. The DJ was the only area of our wedding that we didn’t have any personal recommendations for so we turned to Wedding Wire, which is where we found Moondance. From the beginning Alan was quick to respond, always very professional and knowledgeable. We weren’t looking for all the gadgets and props that come with some wedding DJs, we simply wanted great music and someone talented to create the party atmosphere, which is exactly what we got with Alan. The dance floor was literally packed all night, relatives we never thought would leave their tables were dancing the night away. He met with us leading up the wedding to go over how we wanted the night to flow, he was very attentive to our requests and our do not play list. Alan at Moondance was great. He respected our must-play and do-not-play lists and most every song had a full dance floor. He is not the MC/entertainer type of DJ and that's exactly what I wanted. No dumb props or crazy disco lights (though he would probably set that up if you wanted). He also provided uplighting service for us, which enhanced our room without being tacky. A great DJ that was recommended to us, that we will recommend again.

Alan at Moondance was phenomenal to work with. Planning a wedding out of state and not being able to meet many of the vendors was difficult. Alan was professional, responsive, and the value for their services can't be beat. He was flexible with last minute changes and he asked questions about things we hadn't even thought about. He was very reassuring about the flow of reception activities and everything did work out perfectly! He played most everything on our playlist, and adhered to the 'do not play' list despite a bridesmaid asking a few times for a certain song to be played. :) Everyone danced the entire reception and continue to comment about how much fun the dancing was! Thank you Alan- we are so glad we chose Moondance.

We had Alan as our DJ. First, he was awesome at meeting up to talk about specifics and I could call him whenever I wanted and he would always get back to me promptly. We had an acoustic guitar player come for cocktail hour, but I wanted Alan to play the ceremony then start off again at introductions. It went off without a hitch!

Second, he was an AWESOME DJ! The dance floor was packed all night- we had such an eclectic group of people (a lot of bikers, older relatives and family friends) and he knew exactly what to play all night! At the end of the night he even gave us a CD of all the songs we requested for the prelude, introductions and special requests!

I know you usually don't hire someone because of how you get along with them, but Alan is such a nice person! You don't feel like a number, but a client that he actually cares about doing a good job for. Their prices are very misleading, I would check them out we did have a Friday wedding to keep costs down, but their prices for Saturday are nothing compared to other places- they will be highly recommended from me.

Pauline from Moondance was fantastic as my wedding DJ!

My fiance (now husband) and I like all sorts of different music (country, alt rock, pop, 90's rock/grunge, olldies) and Pauline was able to incorperate everything into different parts of the reception. She made a timeline for the evening and was very attentive with sticking to the schedule. She made sure to coach each person giving a speech so they were prepared at the correct time. The dance music was a fantastic mix of old and new and was great for all ages.

Pauline also made mixed cds with the music she played throughout the night. I've been listening these cd's non-stop since the wedding. There's one of just dance music, another was cocktail hour music with a mix of pop and alt rock, and a dinner CD featuring lots of Frank Sinatra and the like.

Alan from Moondance Productions did an amazing job at our wedding. He played all the songs I requested for cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. EVERYONE was dancing the entire night because he played a great mix of current music and old time favorites. He was also very reasonably priced compared to other DJ's in RI. During cocktail hour, he set up some speakers in the outside garden area so people were able to enjoy the music throughout Linden Place.

I would highly recommend his services.

Alan was so great to work with! He totally coordinated the flow of the night, which we needed someone to do. He was set up outside on the deck, but also had music inside. DJ Pauline and Moondance were just amazing all-around. The price was well below anything else we had quoted to us, and Pauline and the people at Moondance really listened to our preferences and accommodated accordingly (I am half-French and Pauline found songs in French which I LOVED). Pauline also provided us with CDs of all the music played at our wedding, something we didn't expect but really appreciated. We also were really impressed with how professional her whole demeanor was and how "not in your face" she was as a DJ. My guests could actually hear themselves during dinner and enjoyed the light jazz, but then really rocked out during the dancing part. It was fantastic and my wedding was so so fun in large part because of Pauline. It was a stress-free experience as well... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company and this particular DJ. -Claudia

We LOVED working with Suzanne from Moondance! It was one of our best first-meetings with any vendor. Suzanne was so calm, friendly and down to earth. She was the only vendor my fiancé was willing to talk to without me badgering (he won't even call for take-out). She was just a real, nice person.
She worked with our budget and was always responded quickly to all emails. She was great to bounce music, and even non-music, ideas off of and was very knowledgeable when I needed advice about what to play and when.
Suzanne also did our pre-ceremony and ceremony music as well as uplighting (very affordable). I have no idea how he found all of the obscure songs my husband and I chose - even one where I could only find the version on YouTube and not an actually music site. Her song change timing was fabulous as well. The lighting looked beautiful. I was wishy-washy on the color I wanted and overwhelmed with how to describe how bright/dim the lighting should be (isn't it crazy what us brides stress about). Suzanne did her thing and the museum looked phenomenal.
She respected all of our requests, played a great mix of music, had people dancing all night long, was a joy to work with, oh, and no obnoxious WWF announcing! I would absolutely recommend her to anyone. Thanks Suzanne!!!!!

Pauline was our DJ and I wanted to pass along some feedback about our experiences. Pauline was AMAZING. She went above and beyond and we could not have asked for a better DJ experience. She was very detail oriented, which helped me feel reassured that all our requests were documented and would be planned for. On the actual day, she was very flexible to flow with the events of the night, making last-minute announcements to the gorup, and did a fantastic job gauging the crowd and pleasing everyone with the music selections. I have received many compliments from my guests about the experience, and all the credit is due to Pauline. Alan was a fantastic DJ. He provided us with lighting & DJ services. I didn't hire an event planner and he was very helpful in organizing the schedule of events before & acting as master of ceremonies on the day. I hate to think how hectic things would have been without his help. Beforehand he met with me to go over details & help me make decisions I was unsure about.

The lighting in the room also looked great. It really set the atmosphere in the reception room and has made the pictures look awesome. I didn't think we could afford lighting, but Alan provided us with a DJ/lighting package that was very reasonable.

Everyone I have spoken to said it was the best dancing they've ever been to because the DJ was so amazing. We had a few songs we wanted played and a few we didn't, but for the most part left it to the DJ. (He didn't play any of the songs we didn't want played & all of the ones we did want played.) Alan did a great job of reading the audience and playing songs that kept everyone dancing all night.

I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a professional DJ who really provides an all around music and lighting package.

We hired Moondance to be the DJ/sound technician for our ceremony and pre-ceremony. We had a very unique situation... We had an i-pod and my husband’s band playing for our reception, but realized that we were going to need someone to provide mics for our ceremony, to play our music cues for the ceremony and to DJ pre-ceremony at Beavertail in Jamestown where there was no power available!!

A close friend recommended Moondance for this job and we couldn't have been more pleased. We contacted Alan, who was already booked, but he recommended renting the sound equipment and battery power through him and he would send along an intern/club DJ who was not an actual “Wedding DJ” but could set up the equipment and work through the music cues. Aimee was WONDERFUL! She met with us out at Beavertail, to find out exactly where we would have the ceremony and where she would set up. Throughout the time leading up to the wedding, she was great with communication, open to our suggestions and as nice as she could be. I was a little nervous since Aimee had never DJ’ed a ceremony, but throughout the time leading up to the wedding, she was great with communication (she even gave me her personal cell number), open to our suggestions and knowledgeable about the equipment. At the wedding, she was flawless. Everything was mic'ed perfectly, the cues in the ceremony were timed just right and the sound levels were great.

My guests commented on how she was so helpful when they arrived and did not know where to go…they thought she was the wedding coordinator, not just a DJ! She even played music AFTER the ceremony until we all left, something I had not even thought of. And the choice of music (which supplemented our list) fit exactly. She was extremely gracious as well, making sure to thank US for having her before we left.

We got amazing valuefor our money by renting from Moondance and to have Aimee work the equipment for us!

I don’t even know where to begin. This is going to be long so if you’re not the patient type and don’t feel like reading…in a nutshell Moondance Productions is great and definitely the way to go!

Now for the long story! Suzanne was beyond AMAZING and I thank God we found her. Out of all of my vendors picking a DJ was the most stressful for me. I’d set up appointments with a few and most of them were flakes or were overcharging for what they offered. Literally less than 4 months away from my wedding we didn’t have anyone booked. I looked at the list of DJ’s that were recommended by our venue and I thought I would check out the Moondance Productions website. I contacted them and was promptly e-mailed by Suzanne. She wanted to mail us some information and set up a meeting with my fiancé and I to go over what we wanted and to tell us a little more about her offerings. My now husband and I have very demanding schedules and 2 kids and were just a few months away from our wedding day so we needed to do it but flexibility was going to be key. Suzanne agreed to meet us on a SUNDAY morning, which was literally the only time we had available together.

She was very straight forward from the beginning. She offered a flat rate for service…no tricks…no gimmicks…no nothing. Just straight out pay this and you get this! Love that. She also has a huge library of music and thorough knowledge of each genre. It’s one thing to be able to stock an iTunes library and touch play but it’s quite another to be able to gage flow of songs and read an audience. If you have something special you’d like she can easily get it for you if she doesn’t already have it.

Suzanne is much more than a DJ…she is a fantastic MC and overall event planner. She gave us some really great suggestions on how to make our evening flow better, which was key since our venue did not have a coordinator. Our ceremony was on the deck and she was perfect at cueing us to walk out. She was extremely detailed…and she honestly cared more about my ceremony and reception more than I did! She took time to really get to know us and get to know the type of guests we would have at the event. She has a great deal of experience and it shows.

Our ceremony and reception turned out like a dream. She kept everything moving on schedule…was very attentive to our needs and the needs of our guests. Communicated with our other vendors to help make sure everything was perfect. All night everyone was asking where did we get the DJ?! She even made sure to have speakers outside on the deck for the ceremony and in case people wanted to dance out there. She also provided up-lights, which we ordered for inside, but then she brought extra for outside and didn’t charge us for the extra!

The evening was better than we could have ever imagined. We had a perfect ceremony, wonderful mellow cocktail hour…fun introductions…emotional speeches and music…relaxing dinner…then we partied down the rest of the night!! It was AWESOME!!

Most of all beyond being an amazing professional, Suzanne is just a genuinely really nice and very cool person. It was so cool to have a female DJ! None of my friends and family had ever been to a wedding with a female DJ. It was so natural and easy to work with her! She was also very patient with my daughter (who is only 3 and can be a handful.) It was such a pleasure to work with her and we will definitely be hiring her again for special events. She has already been hired by a friend at my wedding, for her up-coming wedding!

If you want a perfect reception/party or any event…with a DJ who cares…then Suzanne from Moondance Productions should be your choice for sure!

We rented a sound system and mics from this company, so we could play our own music from an mp3 player. They were very accommodating and flexible. They set up, broke down, and even sent along a staff person named Aimee to watch over the equipment and help out a bit. She was not a wedding dj, but I knew her as a local club dj. Thank goodness Aimee was there to help us with the mics! She stepped in when we needed help with the equipment. She even helped our friends set up the decorations!

Definitely a good value to rent if you already have the music.

As soon as we met with Alan, we both knew he would be a great DJ for us! Alan was our favorite vendor! He is very personable and really knows his stuff! We had guests from all over, who liked many different genres of music from Country to Rock. Alan was comfortable with it all and was able to blend all the different types of music we wanted together so that it worked!

Alan DJ'ed our ceremony and reception music. He was great with suggestions for the ceremony music and even gave us a CD of classical music to choose from while we were planning because we were lost when it comes to classical music! I was very nervous about the ceremony, but Alan's calm demeanor really put me at ease. He has DJ'ed many wedding ceremonies and you can tell he has the experience to make it run smoothly. I put myself into his hands and he was perfect with the cueing and switching of the music. It was beautiful!

We didn't really have a playlist for cocktail hour or dinner, but told Alan the type of mood we wanted...lively, but not too much! He totally understood and played a mix of music that was great.

He was great when it came to being the MC. His voice and presence on the microphone were superb. The announcements were flawless...we had some difficult names and he pronounced them perfectly. He announced all the special dedications I had requested as well as cake cutting, parent dances, etc..

Alan checked with us once during dinner to make sure we were happy and to see if we had any last minute requests. I found this to be very considerate and knew his mind was on us and making sure we had everything we needed.

The reception dancing was great, with a lot more people dancing than I ever expected since it was a daytime wedding and my family does not really dance! I was on the dance floor from cake cutting till the last dance. He even let one of our guests use his microphone to sing a special song for us (after getting our permission, of course). It was very touching and one of the highlights of the day.

Moondance was very reasonably priced compared to many other DJ's we looked into. Alan was a great resource when we needed recommendations for other vendors, and would not have found the great vendors that we did without his help. Definitely book Alan from Moondance if you want a great wedding!

Sue was so terrific! She played everything we asked and nothing we didn't, she was charming to our guests and yet VERY unobtrusive, she was super flexible with timing, and she is a lovely person, as well. She even drove us home at the end of the night!! All our guests raved about her and we couldn't have been happier with her services.

We meet Pauline at my best friends wedding, we were very impressed. As we started to plan for our own wedding we definitly wanted to give Moondance Productions a call and request for Pauline. After shopping around just to compare prices of other DJ's, Moondance was by far the best price, very affordable. We met up with Pauline one Saturday morning to go over our ceremony, she gave us tips and some good ideas that we haven't thought of. Pauline was very prompt on returning any emails that we sent her. The night of our reception she was fantastic, did everything to a T that we asked for and more. Even gave us a bunch of cds with all our special songs, dinner songs, and dance songs from our reception. Pauline was was very instrumental in making our wedding reception a night we will never forget.

When I told my sister, the bride to be, that I would pay for her DJ I knew my first choice was Moondance productions! I had used Sue for my wedding 10 years ago and I thought she was amazing! Sue is very willing to work with you and during the event you know that you don't have to worry about anything! She's always calm and collected and that's someone you want to work with when your to rapped up in just enjoying your special day!

One of the biggest selling points of Moondance was the price...I thought it was the perfect price for a DJ. Along with a great price was an awesome DJ...Pauline!!!!We were able to meet before the wedding and plan out how the night should flow and I was able to give her a list of songs my finance and I had picked. She was able to build a playlist from that. She was wonderful the night of the wedding...she kept the flow of the night, played the songs on the playlist along with ones that fit in perrfect, and had the best speaking voice (I knew I didn't want some obnoxious guy in a tux!). Everyone was on the dance floor all night....and so many of the guests complimented on how great the music was!!! I recommended her for my friends wedding which was a week after mine and she was great there too!!! Overall a great experience with Moondance!!!

I went with Moondance based on reviews from other brides, and I was not disappointed. Alan provided our ceremony and reception music as well as uplighting for a great price. I dragged my feet in getting him the music list because we couldn't decide some songs, and he was professional and patient the whole way. I didn't give him a play/do not play list but had mentioned that I didn't like "group dances," so when my uncle requested the Electric Slide be played, Alan asked my permission. I really appreciated that.

We didn't have much of a dancing crowd but the dance floor was packed all night; he really read the room well. Alan also read my and my husband's taste well - he could tell what we liked from the Special Songs list we filled out. One of my favorite memories from the wedding is dancing to Uptown Girl with my new brother-in-law, which wouldn't have happened if Alan didn't catch on that it's my favorite.

I'd recommend Moondance to anyone! The room looked lovely drenched in pink uplights and the music was just perfect. The sweetest bonus was the CD of the processional, resessional, and special dance songs Alan handed my husband at the end of the night... such a special touch!

We were lucky enough to have Suzanne as our DJ- and I can't say enough positive things about her. She played exactly what we asked, and didn't play anything we asked her not to. She timed music to keep people on the dance floor all night, and didn't bat an eyelash at some of our requests. (We had a friend announce us; I danced with my dad to the Twist; etc.) Incredibly easy to work with; prompt responses to my many e-mails; relaxed and relaxing to talk to the day of. She's a gem, and I would HIGHLY recommend her.

I'd highly recommend DJ Pauline Pinto. Admittedly, we were a little nervous about deejays because we'd heard about our friends' general experiences with the dj not listening to them; this was not our experience at all! Honestly, we really couldn't have asked for anyone better or more professional than Pauline from Moondance.

Pauline is in tune with people's needs and up-to-date on music. Before the wedding, she was on top of things, making sure she had all of the files prompting me for things if she hadn't gotten them and helping me think through various aspects of the wedding. She was also super organized and very responsive. Plus, we kept adding services we needed (e.g., cocktail hour music, ceremony speakers for our musicians / officiant, etc.) and she was accommodating throughout the process, even days before the wedding... I'm not sure how she does it!

On the day of, Pauline was very professional, following detailed instructions carefully (including setting off our streamers for a storybook ending and setting up the uplighting that people commented on as being beautiful and posted on the FB pages!!), and really kept the crowd on the dancefloor throughout the night. And there were no overplayed songs, cheesy music, etc. -- people of all ages were on the dance floor. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us! Over a month after the wedding, my mother still tells us how much she and her friends thought our DJ was good; many of our friends also thought our wedding was one of the best they'd been to.

Admittedly, we were a bit last minute with getting our dj at 6 months to go. But Moondance Productions was THE most affordable deejay I found after doing a lot of price checking and they were just as good as anyone else, so I feel lucky. My tips generally speaking -- ask your friends what songs they like. We generated a comprehensive list and everyone loved the songs!

The only cons -- at the beginning, I felt that the general owner was slow to respond after my inquiry (but it is irrelevant to overall services). Also, decide your last songs (e.g., do you want slow songs at all) -- I hadn't thought about it much. Check about wireless mics if you need them set up. And go with your gut -- your friends know what music they like!

This was a very positive experience and went off without a hitch! Pauline is a great communicator and pretty cool, so you can't go wrong.

Susanne was lovely. She didn’t play one thing on my do not play list, was reasonably priced, and extremely nice. Everyone was dancing on the deck of the north beach clubhouse and she helped make the wedding a lot of fun. I’d definitely recommend her.

I worked with Suzanne from Moondance. When we met her I felt very confident that she would do a great job and would not be my biggest fear with djs: cheezy! She seemed very professional and that she really knew how to keep people dancing. Classy and fun. We had several e-mails and a conversation to go over all of the details and I felt confident that we had covered all of the details (she had several that I had not even thought of). At the reception, she did an excellent job of checking in with us, but not too much and was so flexible! My father brought a cd of different salsa songs he loves and she very nicely added them in throughout. She did make one error in the schedule of events, but it was immediately remedied, and she was very apologetic. Very minor. I had a wonderful time dancing the whole night and people could not stop coming up to Suzanne and complimenting her on what a wonderful job she was doing!

I was thrilled with Moondance Productions. We asked very specifically for no "60s, 70s, 80s, hip hop, or rap music" and our dj took such a request very much in stride. He told us, "you realize, that's most wedding music" and still found a play list that kept people dancing all night and made us incredibly happy. He also had the perfect volume of music during dinner so that people could still talk and enjoy themselves while having a bit of dinner music. At the end of the night, he gave us a cd mix with many of the songs from the night which was a lovely, very personal touch. Very happy!

I used Alan for my 9/26 wedding and he was fantastic. The dance floor was packed all night. He played a great selection, and did a great job regarding my must play/do not play list. We have heard so many of our guests say they had so much fun dancing at the wedding.

We had Suzanne as our cocktail hour/reception DJ, and we loved working with her. We booked with Moondance sight-unseen after receiving their promo information in the mail and hearing great reviews. We actually didn't even meet Suzanne until we were getting ready to line up for our reception intro! But no matter, everything went off without a hitch. She called us a few nights before the wedding to go over the details of our song selections. We had a couple tricks up our sleeves, my husband had a secret for me, and I had a plot for my stepdad dance. Suzanne executed both perfectly! Family came up and told me what a great person we got to DJ and she was good at deciding when to play requests, if they weren't specifically on our list. We also got CDs of our songs at the end of the night.
