Live music and a dance party!

We were very excited to have live music during the cocktail hour. Everyone really enjoyed the duet. It’s a shame my husband and I missed it due to taking photos, but it was a very nice experience for our guests. Tommy worked closely with the wedding coordinator and photographer to be sure the event was happening according to the timeline. When it came time for the party, we had everyone up and dancing! They did a great job, and we had a really fun time!

The Perfect Duo - live music & DJ

Perfection!! Harden and Crenshaw were the perfect combination of live music and DJ that we were looking for for our wedding. They played live music during cocktail hour and during dinner at the last minute - so flexible and made the evening AMAZING. We received so many compliments on the perfect duo of live music throughout the beginning of the night. They transferred into DJ mode during dinner for the reception and kept the dance floor full! I cannot imagine a more perfect combination of live music and DJ - you guys were phenomenal and made our day so special =) Thank you!!

Love these guys!

I am so happy that we found and hired Moon River for our wedding. Tommy was amazing! These guys took care of me 100% they knew exactly what we wanted to hear and even worked diligently with us when we had to cancel our large wedding venue and move our day into our back yard! I highly recommend them for any event you may be having!

Amazing band/DJ

Wonderful entertainment!

We hired Harden and Crenshaw to be our live music during cocktail hour and then to be our DJs for our reception. The music was so important to me, so much so that I sent them a spreadsheet of must-play songs for dinner and dancing rather than just writing a few down on the reception planner they sent. They were so responsive during the whole process to make sure my needs were being met, and the entertainment they provided was outstanding. It was the most fun reception because the dance floor was always full! The songs they played never created a lull and were always inviting for people of all ages to come dance. The reception atmosphere they created will always stick out in my mind, and I am so grateful! Thank you for all of your work!

Incredible Music, Fun, Professional Musicians

I must say, we were very happy that we went with Harden & Crenshaw of Moon River Productions for our music needs at our reception! My husband and I were able to meet them in person early on and listen to their music. This was a great decision as we were able to get a taste of their style, personalities, and TALENT! Tommy was accommodating and fun to work with in the planning stages all the way up to wedding week! I greatly appreciated how calm and peaceful they were no matter what was happening during the reception or transitions. They definitely delivered with fantastic live music during our cocktail hour, live music for special dances, and good, clean, fun DJ for the rest of the night guiding our party! Thank you for your kindness, happiness and for being such a memorable part of our special day. We will see you again!

Harden & Crenshaw did both live music and DJ services for my wedding. It worked out perfectly because I was able to get the best of both worlds with live music and DJ from one vendor - super convenient. They are professional guys who know their stuff. I received so many compliments from our guests on their guitar playing during our ceremony and cocktail hour. Everyone was impressed. They also played an eclectic mix of music on the dance floor which was exactly what we wanted since we appreciate all music genres. I would highly recommend using them for your wedding or event...you won't be disappointed!

Tom was wonderful to work with. He always appeared to be calm, even when I asked him to edit some songs 2 days before the wedding. He and Trevor provided wonderful guitar and vocals during the ceremony and cocktail hour, and then did great on the dj side for the reception. They helped make our day perfect! I would definitely recommend!

Harden and Crenshaw were the perfect choice for our wedding! They ran sound for our ceremony, performed as an acoustic duo for the cocktail hour and then switched to DJ for the reception. My wife and I are still getting compliments on the music choice! Tom and Trevor were incredibly professional and easy to work with. They responded quickly by email or phone to any questions we had, and made sure every possible detail was addressed before our wedding day. You can tell that they really care about making your day special, and as stress free as possible. I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation, and guarantee you will be 100% satisfied! Tommy & Trevor were absolutely amazing! Music was the most important part of the wedding to us, and they exceeded our expectations. We did a mix of live music for our ceremony and reception, as well as DJ tunes, and everything was flawless. It was like having a band and a DJ - the best! Our guests are still raving about how talented they are! They made sure everything went smoothly and kept the party going from the first song to the last. Don't hesitate to book this incredible duo!

Harden & Crenshaw were amazing!! They tailored everything for what we wanted, and were so flexible! Everyone was commenting on how amazing the live music was; all agreed it was beautiful! They DJ’d the reception and it was perfect! They followed our “must play list” to a tee, but still took requests. Everyone had so much fun, and we definitely would recommend them to anyone looking for a great personalized band.

Harden & Crenshaw did a wonderful job. Their live and dj music was spot on and really set the mood for our event. I would absolutely choose to have the perform for any upcoming events that we have. Moon River Productions/Harden and Crenshaw is a dream come true. We feel so fortunate to have found them for our destination wedding, and were blown away with them every step of the way. Tom was extremely responsive, professional, and helpful during the planning process; and we are still getting compliments on our wedding/reception music. Several guests have said it was the best music they have heard at a wedding. H&C sang and played acoustic guitars for our ceremony and during dinner. (They even learned two songs for us!) They then DJ'ed the reception and kept our guests dancing all night. We didn't meet them until the day of our wedding, but had complete confidence that they would knock it out of the park; which of course they did. My only regret is that in the night's excitement, I didn't get to chat with them as much as I would have liked to. We just can't thank them enough!

Having had the pleasure of attending wedding receptions at which the entertainment was provided by Tommy and Trevor of Moon River Productions, when it came time to start the planning for our daughter’s wedding here on Hilton Head Island, there was no question who we would hire. Tommy and Trevor do not only serve as DJs during the wedding reception, they are both very talented musicians who provide live music (guitars and vocals) before and after the ceremony and during the cocktail hour. Since our daughter is a musician herself, when the wedding planning began she told us the most important part of her wedding to her would be the music, and she considers herself somewhat of a “music snob!” She lives out of state so she only knew what we were telling her about how exceptional these two were and she was definitely skeptical about having them for her wedding. As time went on and she began to communicate with Tommy and Trevor, she realized how accomplished and professional they were and how committed they were to making her wedding experience just what she wanted it to be. They certainly did not disappoint he, or us, or any of our guests. We had many comments from our guests about how great the musicians were, and what a wonderful atmosphere they set for the ceremony and the whole evening. At the beginning of the evening Tommy and Trevor performed music of numerous genres, and during the reception kept things very lively and had many people on the dance floor throughout the evening. The best compliment that we could share with Tommy and Trevor came after the wedding when our daughter said, “You were right, Mom and Dad. They were great and definitely the perfect choice for what I wanted and envisioned for my wedding.”

I can't say enough wonderful things about Moon River Productions! They set the mood and created a wonderful atmosphere for our wedding and reception! I'm a musician myself so I had some high demands for the music. But they were so professional and well prepared! They definitely exceeded my expectations! I couldn't have been happier! I didn't have to worry or stress about anything with the music! They followed my playlist to a tee and did an amazing job reading the crowd and keeping the flow of the evening going! Their live music during the ceremony made the moment so much more special! Tommy was so easy going and wonderful to work with and the guys were so great that day! Tommy and Trevor did a fantastic job at our daughter's wedding. I can tell you this couple was very particular about their music and Tommy worked closely with them to ensure the music was exactly what they wanted. Moon River was awesome! It was so amazing to have an acoustic duet for cocktail hour. It was a special touch to the night without adding a huge expense. And their DJing was great! Would highly recommend to anyone!!

Where do I even begin!? Tommy and Trevor are absolutely incredible. Our wedding was on October 1, 2016, and our guests are still raving about Tommy and Trevor to this day. Our guests kept telling us that this was the best wedding they had ever attended, which is truly a testament to how amazing these two guys are. They had everyone on the dance floor the entire night. It was hot and humid, but the guests just couldn't stop dancing! Aside from their incredible talent, they are also a delight to work with. They are very attentive, accommodating and always on top of their game. We never had to worry, because they just got our vision for the music and totally nailed it!

Moon River was such a great find for our wedding! They played live guitar music for our cocktail hour, through dinner and then transitioned to DJ mode for dancing after dinner. It was the best of both worlds and it looked like we paid so much money to have both but it was surprisingly affordable!

We received such great reviews from our guests-everyone thought that they had great range in their music selection (from older songs to the newest releases) and that they had great voices! We had not heard them live so I was a bit nervous when booking them based on their website sound bites but was so glad that we did. They were not too loud either and sang at just the right level so we could still have normal conversations during dinner.

They were also very professional, was very timely in replying to our emails, and was on time for setup and breakdown. This was very important to us as we are from out of town and wanted to be sure that everything goes as smoothly and effortlessly as possible. They were true to their advertisement about not being the cheesy traditional wedding singers. Their announcements were also done elegantly and professionally. They didn't take any extra liberties with the microphone. They are a class act, very talented, and we are very lucky to work with them!!

Jordan Ross was an excellent addition to our wedding. His expertise on acoustic guitar was perfect for our beach ceremony and his acoustic/DJ skills was the key to our reception. He accommodated all of our requests and even let us audible a change in music to keep the party dancing at our reception. I literally saw Jordan create "electrical power" to have his acoustic guitar heard, just as my wife was walking towards the isle with her father, therefore I wish I could rank flexibility at greater then 5!!

Tom at Moon River Productions was also easy to work with and made sure all of our requests were met throughout the planning process, his attention to detail and music selection forms made getting the music selected much easier! If quality, reliability, attention to details, accommodating special requests, and the ability to keep the party alive are requirements for your wedding/event, then Jordan Ross and Moon River Productions are a perfect fit!

They are awesome! They could not have done a better job keeping everyone entertained and playing appropriate songs for my sister and brother in laws wedding. I served as wedding planner, day of coordinator, and the best man and they did an amazing job helping me keep everything on schedule. We had a few glitches (not involving Moonriver) but they knew just what to do to help cover it up so the guests didn't notice anything.

These guys are hands down the best and using anyone else would be a mistake. They kept in touch throughout the whole process, made recommendations, and the day of webt flawlessly. They had it all under control, changing locations for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. They knew just what to play to keep the dance floor packed also. Such a great time and so easy to work with!

We cannot even begin to explain how amazing Harden & Crenshaw were at our wedding. From singing and playing guitars on the beach for our ceremony to live performances of our dances and DJ'ing after dinner at the reception it was perfect. It was the best mix of music and our guests loved them. I didn't think many people would dance at our reception because we only had about 60 people, but these guys kept everyone moving all night! There were a couple songs not on their song list that I asked them to learn and without a doubt they learned them and they rocked them! I didn't worry about a thing when it came to the music because of their experience and professionalism. They had played our reception venue before so they knew exactly where to set up and how to get there. They responded to all my questions and emails within the hour. I wish I could hear them play more often, they were amazing! They completely adjusted the program we initially had set up for the reception due to a little transportation hiccup. Trevor stayed inside with some guests and DJ'ed and Tom went outside with the other guests and sang live music and played guitar (indoor/outdoor reception hall). They even coordinated with the band playing down the way from our reception when we were outside for our dances to ensure we could only hear our songs - truly remarkable experience!!

SO SO SO GOOD!!! We had them play live before our ceremony (pre-ceremony cocktail hour) and then they DJ'd for the reception. They played really fun music which kept everyone on the dance floor all night. And they are incredibly helpful and nice too!
If you get a chance, go see them in Bluffton!

All of our guests just kept saying -- how cool is it to get a duo that can both play acoustic music and DJ!?

Though we had a southern fare buffet and many of our guests were fending off a food coma, these two got them up and dancing in no time! The music was phenomenal and Tommy and Trevor were fantastic to work with over email beforehand.

Tom and Trevor provided live ceremony and cocktail hour music that everyone could not stop talking about! They played our requested songs for the ceremony which meant so much to us and then sang our favorite songs during cocktail hours. Their live music options were endless and any special request was easily accommodated for. For the reception, they transitioned into a DJ service that really had the guests going as well as ourselves! We cannot give a good enough review to Moon River Productions and Harden & Crenshaw--there are no words to explain just how amazing they were! From the very first email contact (very responsive!) to the first call, to seeing them perform live in Bluffton, SC before booking them, they were the absolute perfect choice for our wedding! We wanted specific music for the ceremony that they were able to download and play, a mix of genres for the live music portion (cocktail hour) and fun, diverse music for the reception--they far exceeded our expectations. When it all came down to it, they had our song choices and preferences but really made it a point to gauge the crowd, adapt to their likes and they kept the party pumping until the very end! Everyone has told us over and over it was the most fun reception they'd been to in years and they danced like they hadn't danced before!

Tommy Crenshaw is a fun, friendly and professional guy through and through--the kind of guy you'd want to hang out with on the weekend. THAT'S what you want for your wedding, believe us! We don't have a single complaint and we promise you won't either! HIRE THEM TODAY!!! :)

Highly Recommend!!

Trevor and Tom sang during our ceremony on the beach and sounded amazing! They then DJ'ed during our reception where our guests were dancing the ENTIRE night! They were incredibly easy to work with and made the whole process very stress free. They set a great tone for our whole wedding. I loved that they let our guests make requests throughout the night! We received tons of compliments from family and friends. Would definitely recommend!

Harden & Crenshaw were fantastic! We really enjoyed their presence at our wedding. They are both extremely talented, kind, professional and patient. They had great intuition, they knew what songs to play when. They were also very flexible and willing to make adjustments when needed. These guys were awesome! I contacted them and they responded right away. I loved the fact that they offer live music as well as DJ services. It was just what I wanted all in one place! They performed live at the ceremony and cocktail hour, then switched into DJ mode for the reception. Not only are they extremely talented performers, but they had the dance floor full all night! I was concerned because our families are very different with different tastes in music, but it was like they knew exactly what to play to get everyone on the dance floor. My aunt and uncle even got out there and cut loose... I had never seen them dance before! They were fantastic in keeping the night moving, from toasts, to dances, cake cutting, etc. They made the entire planning process very easy, they were responsive and helpful throughout the entire process.... Which was extremely helpful for me since I was planning a destination wedding from 800 miles away! I highly recommend!

Harden and Crenshaw provided us with music during our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception on 9/19/15 at the Port Royal Golf Club. I can't tell you enough how awesome they were! They provided us with quick responses to our many questions via email, and played every song we requested. They even took requests during the reception. Tommy and Trevor played acoustically during our ceremony and cocktail hour and then switched over to dj mode for the reception. We couldn't have asked for better musicians! They definitely got everyone up to dance and we had a blast. I would highly recommended these two!

Moon River Productions did an outstanding job at my daughter's Hilton Head Island, SC wedding in June. The live music at the ceremony and the DJ music at the reception were performed exactly as we had planned with them. This was very important to us since the music can really make the wedding a big hit with everyone in attendance--not matter how young or old!
Moon River Productions offered discounts for weekday contracts which was helpful too. They communicated with us throughout the planning process in a timely manner. In addition, they communicated with our wedding planner too. This made it easy to complete the music portion of the wedding planning process. Their website contains a lot of great information about their live performance style, and sample recordings. This was important for us since we were from Pennsylvania and had no way of seeing them perform live before my daughter's wedding. Tommy and Trevor are outstanding live performers. I highly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding! They did a First Class/5 Star Job!

Amazing musicians! I planned an out of state wedding and I couldn't be happier about finding these musicians! We had they play live music during the ceremony, live music with a steel drum during the cocktail hour and meal, and DJ for the dancing reception. While we had an outdoor wedding that rained at the tail end of our ceremony, the music was excellent and helped keep the island feel! Wonderful gentlemen to work with!

Moon River Productions is the DJ you want for your wedding! You may not know it now, but trust me, these are the guys you want. We knew we wanted dancing, but we also knew that we would have a mixed crowd. How to blend our personal taste with popular tunes and something for all ages? They knew. How to move from one atmosphere to another across the night? They played live music during dinner and switched to DJ for dessert and dancing! Their deep knowledge of a wide variety of music combined with their generosity and kind spirit made coordinating with them easy, and then guaranteed this was the most hands-off fun of the wedding party.

Unfortunately, the first DJ we met during wedding planning was of a different generation of "wedding DJ." Although he came with personal recommendations, we decided to take the search online. This is where we found Moon River Productions. We were looking for a DJ who would understand the fun vibe we were looking for while keeping it classy. The live music option was surprise at first, but we decided to go for it, and it was so much fun!

A DJ duo that also plays live music? Yes, it works! These guys are a dream team. Laid back but professional, crowd-pleasing but not cheesy, and really, really attentive to the taste of their hosts (they kept an eye on the room and played our favorite songs when my husband and I were on the dance floor! Wow, that kept us dancing!)

I was also really appreciative of the care they took orchestrating our first dance songs. My husband & I had been secretly practicing our first dance for months. It was our big surprise to perform for our friends & family, and Tom made sure that everything went very smoothly.

As for facilitating toasts and the flow of the evening, it was almost like having another wedding coordinator on board to have their help.

Tommy and Harden were recommended to us from a friend--and we couldn't be more grateful! They were responsive, professional and absolutely fantastic. They did an acoustic cocktail hour at our wedding, performed the processional at our ceremony and also handled all of the dinner and dance music. Essentially--they did everything! I am from CT so planning a destination wedding in Hilton Head made me a little nervous being 900 miles away. One of my first calls was to Tom Crenshaw of Moon River Productions, and right away I trusted I was in good hands.

The planning process with Tom and Trevor was completely stress-free and easy. They handled all of the technical details and worked directly with my wedding coordinator so we didn't have to worry about anything. I really felt like during this time, not only were they completely organized and on top of things, they did a good job getting to know us. Also during this time, we probably called and emailed them way too much, but they were always responsive and assuring that everything was all set on their end.

The actual wedding, I can't even begin to tell you how perfect they were. They played live music before our ceremony began while people were getting seated, and it set the most beautiful and intimate mood. Beyond talented musicians- My guests are still raving. The music during the ceremony was also completely perfect.

The reception continued in the same direction. Not only did they have a complete idea of what we were looking for in terms of music, they really paid attention to the crowd and picked an excellent playlist and kept the party going!

I really could go on and on about these two gentlemen. So professional, so organized, and so completely talented and entertaining! If you book them as your DJ and/or live music, they will make you feel like their most important client, and they will be sure your event is everything you're looking for!

Tom and Trevor, our acoustic musicians, were simply outstanding. We had numerous planning exchanges and their guidance in music selection was invaluable. My daughter wanted acoustic guitar for her first dance and they learned the song just for our event - and preformed it flawlessly. We would highly recommend Crenshaw and Harden for any celebration.

I think that's the best way I can put it in a nutshell. Our wedding was large and formal. The ceremony itself was outdoors in public and our reception was held indoors at a separate location. None of these conditions became an obstacle.

When my wife and I met with Tom to hash out details we realized afterward that getting our DJ was the least amount of headache of any part of our plans at all. Any question we asked or any special request we made was answered with, "Yes, we can do that. Easy." Or, "In the past we tried xyz and it worked better than abc."

Knowledgeable and friendly and in-touch and we almost didn't notice them the whole night. They never drew extra attention to themselves, just went about their business of playing to what the room wanted when it wanted it. I can't say enough about these guys. Our ceremony was beautiful and our party rocked and it wouldn't have been the same without Moon River Productions. None of our older guests were ever put off and none of our younger guests were ever bored. After our weekend was over, we received more remarks about the great music than we did about the food or cake or flowers or whatever. Top notch work.

The BEST money we spent! From the very start, I was highly impressed at the prompt response that Tommy gave us. From instrumental during the ceremony...to the band during cocktail hour until dark....to ending the night with a DJ mix, it was a PERFECT blend. Our wedding guests are still talking about how great our band was.

They took the time to learn our first dance song to the beat we needed for our choreographed dance. They were also very open minded to our ideas. All around a pleasure to have worked with on both the business and entertainment aspects of our wedding.

Moon River owner Tom was very responsive to all of my questions/concerns. He was very prompt with all emails and a very straight forward contract. I would definitely recommend Moon River to others.

Our musician was Trevor Harden who played acoustic guitar and sang for our ceremony music then DJ'd our reception. He did a FANTASTIC job. I could not have asked for a better person to play our wedding. All of our guests were raving about the ceremony music.

My husband and I had the pleasure of having Mr. Tom Crenshaw as our DJ at our wedding in June of 2011. Tommy epitomizes each one of those characteristics above. He provides excellence quality, very responsive and reachable, absolutely professional and flexible, and a wonderful value to anyone considering hiring the company as a vendor for their wedding.

Tommy met with me before the wedding and we went over all of the details of the ceremony and reception. Having been involved in many, many weddings in the past, he was able to assist me in my lack of knowledge of what is needed as far as music is concerned. Going through this process with him was very assuring and I had absolute confidence in him and his talent.

On the day of the wedding, Tommy showed up earlier in the day to set up and make sure everything went smoothly. Our wedding went over wonderfully perfect and Tommy and Moon River Productions was such a significant part of that. Our wedding would definitely have not been the same without him there!

They were just fantastic! They provided us with a 2 musicians for our intimate outdoor ceremony and reception. Guitar and vocals. Walked down the aisle to a beautiful guitar solo. Recessional music was "all you need is love" by the Beatles (instrumental only) For the reception, they had a lot of songs to choose from using just guitar and vocals. We chose artists like James Taylor, Simon and Garfunkel, Jason Mraz, Van Morrison, etc. Extremely friendly and professional guys. Easy to work with. They were perfect!!!

Harden & Crenshaw did a great job! They played live for our ceremony and while guests had dinner. They even learned 2 songs for us. Everyone raved about the live music and once they switched over to DJ mode it was non stop dancing! We had so much fun and everyone is still talking about the music! Tom from Moon River helped us put together the perfect entertainment package for our wedding. We had a steel drum band for cocktail hour which everyone loved! They were absolutely phenomenal and all of our guests thought it was a unique and fun touch to add to our beach wedding. We had DJ Trevor for the remainde rof tehr eception and he was also great. They were all professionla, on time, and played all of the music that we had requested. Trevor even helped my fiance to surprise me with a song he had written for our first dance. The service was flawless and we could not have been happier with the result. I highly reccomend them!

Tom and Trevor were excellent. We had asked for an acoustic version of 'Make Me Wanna' by Thomas Rhett for our first dance and they delivered! In fact it was so good, Pam wanted to see if they would send us a recording of their version. They kept the party going until the end.

I was not terribly impressed with the DJ. I felt that I communicated I wanted the music for my reception to be classic rock, but most of what I was hearing was top 40.

Worst DJ ever. Completely ruined the entire atmosphere of our wedding and reception 3 weeks ago. He was unresponsive to calls and emails after getting our non-refundable deposit. He messed up our first dance song, our slideshow, both dances with our father/mother. It was awful. And when he didn't have the music we wanted for the intro and our first dance, when did he decide to tell us?!? AS THE ENTIRE WEDDING PARTY IS LINED UP OUTSIDE THE BALLROOM!!! It was a nightmare!!

If you want a professional DJ for your wedding and would like to enjoy yourself, look elsewhere. They are not worth it. I regret hiring them more than anything. And guess who DJ'd our event?? The owner, Tom!! The owner?!? Really??? And when we complained afterward, he pointed the finger at us, saying it was OUR fault that he ruined everything. Wow. That says a lot about him...and his level of service.
