    Beautiful Mountain Wedding

I couldn’t imagine myself getting married anywhere else! It was the perfect mountain wedding with plenty of space for all my guests. The ceremony was outside with the reception inside and it couldn’t have been more perfect. A great plus was the huge room with a small kitchen and bathrooms my bridesmaids and I got to use to get ready! Would 100% recommend to anyone for their special day.

Everyone at Monte Sano was very professional, helpful, and easy to get a hold of. The venue is gorgeous and incredibly spacious. The lodge was warm and inviting during my winter wedding. We had the ceremony outside (it was about 55 degrees and sunny), and it was absolutely gorgeous and made for beautiful photographs. I've seen venues way more expensive (in fact, a local park in my hometown costs about a grand more) and not be nearly this beautiful. Being in graduate school, our budget was pretty tight, but we had a beautiful location with plenty of space for dining and dancing! Highly recommend!

Our daughter Katie's Wedding and Reception were held at the Lodge on October 11, 2015, this is a beautiful venue!
A couple of issues to consider are that they book up well in advance of a year, depending on when your Wedding day is planned, Saturdays book up quickly!
Also, we had tell people who were at the State Park, which is open to the public, that the Reception is a private event not open to the public, and that the the Lodge was not open to the Public on this day. During the outside ceremony there were people walking along the trail, in the background, but this really wasn't a problem for the Happy Couple!
When you rent the facility, you have access to it from 10 am - 10 pm. and full use of all the rooms. I would recommend this facility!

I had my wedding ceremony and reception at Monte Sano State Park Lodge the first week in November. I had to book 10 months in advance to secure my date. Booking was easy, and everyone I worked with there was so helpful! They provide inside chairs and tables, and will set them up to your layout before the event. Also, they officially give you access 10am-10pm, but we were able to get inside the venue earlier than 10am that morning to begin setup.
The veranda and arch were absolutely stunning for the ceremony- we fit 100 standard chairs back there. The inside of the lodge didn't require too much extra decoration, as it is already gorgeous, with stone walls and wood accents!

I had a September wedding at Monte Sano Lodge. It was absolutely beautiful! The crew set up all the tables and furniture exactly how we had planned. We didn't have to have a ton of decorations because inside the Lodge and the view outside were stunning.

Beautiful place for the ceremony and reception. The entire place can be rented and they provide the tables and chairs and will set them up for you.

The venue was lovely, and the price was almost unbeatable for the value. Our wedding was in December, and it was so perfect.

Jessica was great to work with and the lodge was perfect for the ceremony outside and the reception inside. Only advice I would give is when you book your wedding date, make sure you can do your rehearsal the night before. There was a wedding the night before ours so we had to do our rehearsal in the morning the Friday before, otherwise it was great!

The lodge is a perfect location for outdoor wedding and reception. It requires minimal decorations as it is already perfectly rustic! Luckily we had perfect weather that allowed us to go with the outdoor ceremony. I highly recommend the lodge as a wedding location, and the staff was very easy to work with and quite responsive during the planning process!

We rented the lodge for our rehearsal dinner and wedding venue. The lodge provided the outdoor venue we had been searching for. We ended up with fabulous photos. The venue was the perfect size for our wedding and met all of our needs.

The lodge was the perfect place to be married outdoors. The view of the valley from the backside of the lodge was stunning with the fall colors. Jessica was great to work with. We loved the natural beauty of the lodge and it fit perfectly with the theme. The only negative thing is that the park closes at 11:00 p.m. The staff was nice enough to give us until 11:30 to finish up our cleaning. The cost was low enough that we rented the lodge for three days to allow two days for decorating.

    Our Perfect Day

We had a wonderful woodland themed wedding with the entire lodge being used. It was the perfect amount of space! We had intended originally to have our ceremony outside near the cliff but opted for inside Fearn Hall because of the threat of rain. It was just as wonderful inside as it would have been outside and we had plenty of nice weather to get lovely pictures outside before the weather came in.
There are more than enough tables and chairs to accommodate a good sized wedding inside (however chairs must be rented to go outside as they don’t allow their chairs outside).
Communication could use a little work as we didn’t get measurements for the outdoor arch like we had originally requested but it ended up fine in the end!
They gave us extra time to clean up because a chair rental company who served the guests who rented the venue the day before us were very late to get their chairs which meant we had to start decorating a little later. Luckily we had simple plans and had plenty of time and ended up not even needing the extra time in the evening.
Overall a breathtaking venue perfect for anyone who wants a more nature filled wedding. We stayed in a cabin near by for the weekend afterwards and that was also absolutely lovely!

Monte Sano Lodge was the perfect venue for us! Both the outdoor terrace, where we held the ceremony, and inside the lodge, are so naturally beautiful that we hardly needed any decorations. In the event of rain, we easily could have moved inside the lodge. The lodge is divided into several rooms, which lends itself well to a food space, dining area, dance hall, and wedding party prep rooms. It also includes two kitchens and bathroom areas. We let them know the layout of tables and chairs that we wanted, but everything else was on us. We had the venue from 10am - 10pm and were allowed to use whatever vendors we wanted. As some other reviewers mentioned, as it's in a state park, we did have a few wandering non-guests stroll in/by while we were setting up, so we hung up a few signs that noted that we were hosting a private wedding, and that was sufficient. The price was not the cheapest, but for the flexibility we were allowed and the naturally gorgeous setting, we thought it was well worth it. It's a very popular venue though, so especially for Saturdays, you may need to reserve the space a full year in advance!

The lodge was absolutely beautiful. Staff was flexible, and responsive. I think that it was a bit pricey but in the end it was worth the price. Also, there is a lot of room there so you can do everything in one location, which rocked.

We got married at the Monte Sano Lodge in Huntsville the evening of Friday, October 14th. The staff was both friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. I worked with Jessica for the most part who was able to answer all my questions. Her office hours are limited, but she was generally prompt in returning my calls. The wedding was perfect. I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful Fall setting. We also stayed in one of their cabins the night of our wedding. The view was beautiful. In fact, we plan to stay at the cabins again in the near future. They do stay pretty booked so I recommend booking well in advance.

The lodge is a beautiful place to get married! Every room has wooden beams and chandeliers going across the ceiling which makes decorating easy. The lodge is lovely on it's own you barely have to decorate it. We rented the whole building for the entire day for $1600. This was not only the cheapest venue we found but also the most flexible. We had the run of the place and could do anything we wanted. Move furniture around how we wanted, set up rooms how we wanted, and decorate how we wanted. We loved the freedom of it. We also fell in love with it's rustic qualities. It's got a gorgeous outside patio overlooking the mountains, beautiful stone walls inside, and the wooden beams I mentioned earlier. The only bad thing I have to say about the lodge is that they hardly ever answer emails and scheduling appointments to see the lodge is hard because it must be before 3pm on a week day. Otherwise, it is well worth any minor frustrations.

I knew right away I wanted to use Monte Sano Lodge as my venue for my ceremony and reception. The view was 100% the reason why but the inside was nice as well. The kitchen and buffet room are near each other and seem helpful for catering and the fireplaces in the main room were GORGEOUS. It only accommodates about 150 comfortably so keep that in mind. Luckily, the weather cooperated with us but if you're using for ceremony you may want to think through a plan B in case weathers nasty.

The lodge is a very popular place for weddings since they rebuilt the lodge, so I recommend booking it as soon as you know your wedding date. Our original date was booked, so we chose to use it on a Sunday, since all their Saturdays for the month were booked. We were married on the back terrace and had the reception in the Oak Banquet Hall. The scenery of the mountains was absolutely amazing and provided an excellent backdrop for our pictures. There is a large kitchen, which was great for our caterer to use. Although they are responsive via phone or email, the lodge was locked when we came up for our scheduled rehearsal and each time we attempted to pay the rest of the deposit, an event was going on, making it difficult to get inside the lodge. You must be on top of things, but it is worth it.

I booked a year in advance and barely got the date I chose. The office gal at the time was amazing, perfect, I couldn't ask for better, when it came time to be more involved with the venue that gal was no longer there. The replacement lady was one of the most rude people I've ever come across. I went up to book a rehearsal day time and to show my friend/coordinator the place, called Brandy because I was stuck in traffic if she would wait for me seeing as she closed at 5. Her response was: it's 4:50 I am walking out the door AT 5. So I punched the gas to get there only to pay the last amount and book a time 30 seconds worth of work.. At 5 she locked the door!! Bitch! I ended up showing my friend the building via the outside and pearling through the windows. By then it wasn't worth arguing I had already paid for my day. We had our whole day at this one location, it was clean but there was only ONE out of 4 bathrooms that had paper towels. You don't think paper towels are important? Have 150 guests going to the bathroom in black tie attire and then going to the brides bathroom where all the bridal party's items are just to use it for paper towels. Not only that but did I mention its a state park and anyone can be on the property, there is a door in the bridal party area that leads outside, when you have people using that bathroom they tend to go outside using that door, leaving it open!!! Again all our stuff, strangers could take... My advice is don't talk to Brandy and don't let anyone in the bridal area!!!! Otherwise it's a beautiful location too bad it has a not so kind lady to ruin the outlook on the beauty.
