We had the most amazing day with our photographer Vanessa by our side. She helped make the day move smoothly with a detailed plan that was created before our big day. Our photographs look amazing and we could not find one we didn't like among the 1200+ from the day. Vanessa is amazing and you should stop looking and make her your photographer for your big day, you will not be disappointed!

Vanessa did an amazing job at our wedding this month, as well as our engagement shoot a couple months ago. The pictures are absolutely stunning, and she got them back to us in less than two weeks! The guests loved her, she did a great job of capturing all of the highlights of the wedding.

Vanessa was fantastic! I love the variety of both posed and candid shots we have from our wedding. Many members of our bridal party commented on what a great job Vanessa did and how friendly she and her assistant were. Before the wedding, she helped me develop a timeline for the day and stuck to it (but was also very flexible when we wanted to add an additional photo location last minute!). Something else I love is that shortly after the wedding, she mails you a disc of all your pictures. I would absolutely recommend Vanessa; we had a great experience with her and love our wedding photos!

When it came to my Wedding day, I wanted the best Photographer that there is. I instantly knew who I wanted, Moments Captured by Vanessa. I could not have asked for a better day, photographer, or better guidance. Vanessa was amazing and so helpful with everything, and flexible. My husband and I were working with her from Canada, and she did all she could do to help us and work with us when we were in the area visiting family. She gave us advice on day of photos, transportation, location ideas, and over all helped me to keep my nerves in check.
I don't think that there was a single photo that we got that I didn't Love!!! Vanessa is the best and if you give her that chance she will prove to you that no one can beat her! Thank you for capturing our most important day ever!

Being from a small town, it’s hard to make big decisions. Booking Moments Captured by Vanessa was one of the best “big” wedding decisions that I could have made. Vanessa is absolutely wonderful. She goes above and beyond to make your special day perfect. She worked extremely hard to make us feel comfortable and to accommodate us in every way possible. Not to mention, her work is breathtaking. She captured unthinkable photos and still made sure we had a good time. I, honestly, recommend Vanessa to every person that asks me if I know a quality photographer. Never underestimate that small town feeling.

Service: My husband and I just got married October 4th! Vanessa was by our side the WHOLE time. To enlighten more on how she was part of our journey to marriage, I will list a few prime examples: she helped us set our itinerary times for that day (who better than the person who spends ALL day with you?), she took time out of her day to spend an unexpected moment with my parents who "dropped into her studio because they were worried about not standing right in the pictures" (that one makes me laugh, I was the first of my siblings to get married!), and she made adjustments as we went on the day of our wedding-still allowing us to accomplish all we wanted (oh it's raining now, lets do this instead...). So for that reason, I rate her service as excellence!

Quality: What a genuine photographer who's passion for the camera is evident to all! When deciding which photographer to get, my soon to be sister in law who had Vanessa capture her wedding 5 years prior said "I remember telling her I wanted a certain picture in our field...and there she went, she was down laying on the ground in her dress pants and high heals trying to capture the picture I wanted!" The day after our wedding both are parents said, "you can tell she really knows what she's doing..she just moves around and does her thing!" Vanessa will give it her all to capture the moments YOU tell her are important to you-so for that, another excellence!

Lastly, value: We have almost been married a month and I look at our pictures every day! Each time I smile so big my face hurts...and then I start to tear up realizing the precious moments that are forever captured thanks to Vanessa. My husband and I are so thankful we decided to make our photographer one of the top things on our budget we splurged on-we could have never put a price on the memories we will have for a lifetime! So another excellence awarded Vanessa's way!

I really appreciated Vanessa's solid organization skills, promptness, and willingness to customize a package that worked for us. She created a package that was fairly priced, and exactly what I wanted--which was time and printing rights. The part of her work that drew me in were all the candids, and the ability to capture moments that were happening. She has gone to school for photojournalism, and it really shows. I was able to get beautiful posed photos, and she really got the emotions that were happening. There were parts of the day that I wasn't around, that I was able to see through her shots; the guests arriving at church, guests arriving and mingling at the reception, people dancing, and the many people we talked to. I ended up with over 1200 photos, and I love every single one of them. She also delivered them SUPER quick. I've had friends waiting for their photos for months, and I got to see mine within a few weeks. Vanessa is very personable and really easy to work with.

Having beautiful wedding pictures was one of the most important things for me since the pictures are forever. I was continuously looking online for a good photographer in our area when I stumbled across Moments Captured by Vanessa's website. Upon talking with her, I knew I had to book her. She was very friendly and always responded back to me quickly.
On our wedding day she was a pleasure to work with. She seemed just like an attending friend at the wedding. I did not even notice pictures were being taken of us as we were upfront, saying our vows; (I was always scared of having a photographer who is up in our faces, clicking away, and blocking our guests view thanks to wedding shows).
Another aspect that was important to me was that I did not want the generic pictures where smiles seem forced and everyone is stiffly posing. Needless to say, our pictures turned out beautiful and full of life! They were everything I had wanted. My husband and I are very happy that we found her!

Vanessa is very professional in her work, attire, and communication. Having her take our pictures was worth every penny because we cannot put a price tag on the memories she captured on our special day. Her work experiences helped us plan our wedding day. Vanessa was absolutely amazing during our big day! My husband is usually very "stiff" in pictures, but Vanessa made him feel very comfortable, and we got a ton of really amazing shots. It took me over a month to figure out which pictures needed to go into our wedding album (which Vanessa designed), mostly because each time I would get on to make sure I had all of the pictures that I wanted in it, I would get distracted looking at how gorgeous and amazing all of the other pictures are!
She was also incredibly helpful with setting up a timeline for our wedding day--and she made sure we were where we needed to be at the right times. (My dad was very glad that we were able to eat dinner on time!) Plus, she came on the bus with us and got some great pictures of our bridal party!
She was more than willing to work with me to create a package that was in our price range and would help to make sure we got pictures of every aspect of our day. She also did our engagement session, and was willing to come to my parents house to take pictures in their backyard!
I absolutely recommend Vanessa to everyone who asks about wedding photographers-she is amazing and we definitely have lots of pictures to help us relive our wedding over and over and over again!

My Husband and I couldn't have found a better photographer! Our wedding pictures are amazing! It was hard deciding our favorites because we loved everyone of them! Our photo album is absolutely stunning & something we get to cherish forever. We had a pretty big wedding party and Vanessa was great at getting everyone together & getting the photos taken as quickly as possible. She's so much fun to work with and will help with anything you need. I would absolutely recommend Vanessa to anyone!

My husband and I are extremely happy with the ever lasting memories Vanessa captured in our wedding photos. Vanessa and her assistant went above and beyond to capture every moment that happened on our wedding day. Our wedding album is absolutely stunning. Vanessa makes it nearly impossible to choose a favorite photo, we loved them all! Not only were we completely satisfied with our photos, Vanessa is great to work with. She offers a lot of support in making decisions, prepares a schedule for the day, ensures that you stay on schedule, and has a great personality. I would absolutely recommend Vanessa as your wedding photographer. Everyone has a different vision for their big day. And I believe that Vanessa could make each and every vision come true. She was more than just a photographer; she was also my event planner. She helped me organize the timeline for the day, she offered to contact my DJ when I couldn't reach him, and she was there to let me cry when I lost my grandpa just 6 days before my wedding. She was there to make sure I got each and every photo that I wanted. She was able to get posed shots (which I was convinced I didn't want, but yet, LOVE each and every one of them), and make them look like candid shots. Not to mention that the candid shots she did take, look so phenomenal.

I cannot express my gratitude for having Vanessa be a part of our big day. The week before, my husband decided to stay in a hotel down there, and Vanessa had Dave, her assistant, meet Ben and his groomsmen at the hotel, with me texting her the address the DAY OF. And my day started out fine, with plans to meet Vanessa at 1:30pm at our venue. Three of us showed up about 10 minutes late, with one girl already at the venue. Vanessa had already started on the shots that she could take without the bridal party. Which was great, because the other three bridesmaids had gotten into a car accident and showed up only half an hour prior to the ceremony. Vanessa did absolutely everything that she could to make sure I still got all of the shots I wanted with my girls.

I know that I rambled on a bit about my day, but it was only to show the gratitude for Vanessa. She did everything in her power to make sure that I had the best day possible. Not only that, she got our photos out online less than two weeks after our wedding. Vanessa went above and beyond what a photographer does at a wedding. Somewhere between the photos, the cake cutting, and the dancing, she became my friend.

I had seen Vanessa's work in the past, so there was no question that I would book her for our wedding when we got engaged. I knew her work was great, but what I didnt know was exactly how much FUN Vanessa is to work with. She is the perfect mix of fun and professional and her pictures show it. From helping us pick out a package, to laying out the schedule for our big day, Vanessa was more help than I could have imagined. She is a wealth of knowledge on weddings and a great person to bounce ideas off of. Her suggestions are spot on. Because of Vanessa's advice, we held our engagement session at sunrise at the lake. The photos turned out phenomenal! Not only was it a beautiful setting, but the photography was amazing. The photos from our wedding day were equally as stunning! Aside from being a talented photographer, Vanessa was very easy to work with. E-mails and phone calls were returned in a timely manner. She was always polite and went the extra mile to make sure we were happy. Cant say enough good things about our experience with Moments Captured!

It was a pleasure having Vanessa photograph our wedding. Not only did she take amazing pictures, she helped with things like corsages and ties which was a huge help! Vanessa was also energetic, professional, and adaptable. I highly recommend her!

What can I say about Vanessa that will be enough?! Vanessa and her assistant David were amazing at our wedding. There was no idea shot down, she was up for anything. Vanessa captured everything we could have wanted; candids, group photos, setup photos, photos of almost everyone at the wedding! Everything that we got in our package is of amazing quality and just stunning. Our album is stunning and if my house started on fire it would be the first thing I would grab! Vanessa was so professional but still fun to be with and she was easy to have as a photographer. Like I said at the beginning, I cannot say enough good things about Vanessa! You cannot go wrong with her.

Vanessa did a wonderful job on our wedding photos! She did a wonderful job getting everyone around for pictures which helped me out a lot so that I was able to enjoy my day! She always emailed me back quick if I had any questions and was able to work with my crazy schedule. I was sooo happy with our pictures they where beautiful! She took a ton of photos. She had a assistant with her so the pictures went fast and everything was very organized. Vanessa helped me out tons! I would highly recommend her to anyone. The pictures are clear and very professional. They are exactly what we wanted. Thank you Vanessa!

We had never met Vanessa at Moments Captured by Vanessa before our wedding day, but we chose her to serve as our wedding photographer based solely on her fantastic reviews and the gorgeous photos in her online galleries. We took a pretty big gamble for our big day, but, fortunately, it paid off! Vanessa and her assistant, Dave, exceeded our expectations! They were timely, prepared, professional, accommodating, well-organized, energetic and extremely creative! Despite the fact that our ceremony and reception took place in mid-Michigan, a couple hours drive from their home base in the thumb, they did not require an additional fee for their travel expenses - and even suggested what turned out to be an amazing location on campus at Michigan State for photos that we (as natives and MSU alum) had never even considered. They allowed us flexibility to create some of our own poses and shots, but, for the most part, were very helpful and skilled at guiding us (as amateurs!) in how to position ourselves for the posed portraits. And, they did an amazing job capturing candid moments throughout the day, especially during our reception! Not only did Vanessa and Dave manage to capture nearly every one of our 120 guests, but they also did a wonderful job photographing many of the details of our big day, to include our guest favors, menu cards, rings, wedding programs, cake, centerpieces and other decorative items. Their style is innovative and the composition of their photos is flawless. I'm very picky when it comes to photos of myself but they managed to create so many gorgeous ones. Of the 1500+ they took, I liked 95% of them, which is rare for me! Best of all, they deliver the photos quickly...we had our proofs less than two weeks after our wedding day, which is amazingly fast! I strongly recommended Moments Captured by Vanessa to any brides - or anyone seeking a professional photographer, in general! We were incredibly impressed by Vanessa's talent and value!

Vanessa was wonderful to work with! She was very patient with my busyness before the wedding, and SO endlessly patient, helpful, and cheerful on the wedding day itself. We had a huge wedding party, but she was great about getting everybody corralled and photos taken as painlessly as possible. :) And during the reception, when I suddenly realized I'd forgotten to bring the song we were planning to dance to, she was ready to go buy it off of iTunes and download it to her phone so we could use it (someone else beat her to it, but I so appreciated her helpful, calming presence! :)

We loved how the photos turned out, too! We've gotten so many compliments. The colors she captured were amazing, and she got some gorgeous shots of our guests little children during the wedding. Our only disappointment was not having close ups of our faces during the vows, but I realized afterwards that I had asked her about this the very first time we talked and not mentioned it after that - I probably should have remembered to mention it again once we'd actually contracted with her. Also, the first disc of photos she sent didn't have the photos in high res, but when I asked her about this she quickly sent a new one. It was great to get the printing rights for the photos, though! Overall, the few issues we had she handled promptly.

She was great to work with throughout, and even though we hadn't met her in person till the actual wedding day, she was so kind and natural there that it wasn't awkward at all having her with us throughout the day. I would definitely recommend her to a friend. :)
