Gorgeous Florals

Hanna at Mohican Flowers designs the most beautiful florals. Her attention to detail and creativity is second to none. I highly recommend them. It was an absolute pleasure to work with them.

The absolute BEST vendor for flowers! The honest theme of my wedding was 'flowers' and I gave the artists at Mohican Flowers complete control over the ultimate vision. It was amazing - just absolutely perfect. There was zero stress for me as the bride and every arrangement was LITERAL artwork. I wish I could include photos in this review - it would make all the decisions for you, haha. Highly recommend! (Plus you are supporting a small, woman-owned business).

Amazing Flowers For Our Big Day

Stunning flowers

I absolutely loved the flowers provided by Mohican flowers for my wedding. Claire was so easy and lovely to work with. I gave her a very loose idea of what I wanted, and she nailed it! If you are anywhere in the area, don’t look anywhere other than Mohican.

Claire was great to work with! I showed her just a few photos of what I envisioned and SHE DELIVERED! It was everything I wanted! It was great to have flowers delivered the day of the wedding- definitely reduced wedding day stress!

Stunning Wedding Flowers!

I got my bridal bouquets from Mohican Flowers in Cooperstown. Working with them was easy, and they were affordable. When I saw my bouquets for the first time, I was in awe of how beautiful they were! She made them exactly how I envisioned - even better. A matching boutonniere for the groom and an adorable basket of petals for the flower girl topped it off. They were very flexible with delivery arrangements too. Highly recommend!!

Absolutely Amazing!

Claire and her team were wonderful to work with from start to finish. Claire understood exactly what we wanted and executed everything perfectly! All of our flowers were so incredibly beautiful - the most incredible of all was an 8 foot wreath that was hung over our dance floor. It was a true work of art!

Fantastic Experience!

Mohican Flowers came recommended from our venue and I couldn't be more grateful! I worked with Claire and she truly made the vision I had come to life with the flowers and the centerpieces. Amazing! Fantastic service and gorgeous flowers

Absolutely amazing!! Three weeks before our wedding my husband and I had to find a new florist, we contacted Mohican and they graciously agreed to help. They truly went up and beyond! I can not say enough about their service. Our flowers and arbor were gorgeous. Forever thankful!

Absolutely wonderful!

Claire and her team at Mohican Flowers were a dream to work with. Claire is incredibly kind and warm, and she was quick to respond during all of our communication. She met with my mom and me several months in advance to review our ideas and preferences. She has a wonderful eye and expertise, and offered great suggestions during the planning phase. She was quick to help us make some last minute changes the week before our wedding when we decided we wanted additional flowers outside at our ceremony. She seamlessly coordinated everything with our venue on the day of the wedding. The flower arrangements were absolutely stunning, and perfectly captured the style we were looking for! She also made a point to create things that could be repurposed from the outdoor ceremony to the indoor reception. I greatly appreciated her flexibility and creativity to help us get the look we wanted within our budget. I can’t say enough good things about Mohican Flowers- book them!

Most amazing florist

I cannot begin to put into words how wonderful it was to work with Mohican Flowers, but I’ll try. Diana was an absolute joy to work with. She completely listed to my vision and provided valuable guidance and insight. My bouquet was absolutely stunning, my bridesmaids bouquets were perfect and the rest of our florals were absolutely incredible. Diana didn’t miss a single detail and the florals came together even better than I had imagined. If you are thinking about selecting Mohican Flowers as a florist, look no further.

Absolute perfection!

Claire and the rest of the team at Mohican Flowers created the most INCREDIBLE bouquets, boutonnieres, flower crowns, and garlands for our August 2018 wedding at my parents' home in Upstate, NY. Each and every arrangement they created was truly a work of art and honestly, their work speaks for itself. On top of all that, Claire was an amazing partner throughout the whole process: she was so patient with me when I shared my ALL-over-the-place Pinterest board with her at our first meeting and helped me hone and clarify my vision over the next few months over the phone and via email. She was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable when it came to picking the best flowers and greenery to bring my vision to life while keeping our budget in check. She really cared about making sure we got what we wanted and was an absolute joy to work with. I have the tendency to be a perfectionist and can be difficult to please so when I say that Claire and Mohican Flowers did a PERFECT job with all of the flowers for my wedding, it is truly saying something. I couldn't be happier with my choice to work with Claire & Mohican Flowers for my wedding and couldn't recommend them highly enough to anyone else embarking on the overwhelming process of picking vendors for their big day.

Claire and Mohican Flowers did a phenomenal job with flowers at the Otesaga. The bridal bouquets were beautiful, exactly what I had imagined, and the centerpieces and flowers for the cake were absolutely stunning. Claire found a blueberry rose that was exactly the color I had been looking for. She is amazing. I also appreciated all of their hard work setting up and moving arrangements for the ceremony and reception. They handled everything which allowed me to enjoy the day. Everything was beautiful. Claire’s expertise and professionalism are best in class.

We had my daughter's wedding at the Otesaga, and the flowers were perfect. They worked with my daughter to make sure her vision came to life. They searched until they found exactly the color and size containers for the table arrangements, and her bridal bouquet brought her to tears. Claire at Mohican Flowers is a magician! I wasn't really sure what to expect when my husband and I told her what we were looking for. We had so many ideas and likes, I felt like we were all over the place. Not knowing what our venue would really look like for our day (not a typical wedding venue) made us nervous about picking a set idea. Her use of Pinterest to share photos and ideas is so helpful. Claire took everything we said and turned our venue into the most magical space I could have possibly imagined! The flowers were so gorgeous and the personal touches with our centerpieces just brought the whole room together. It made our tent space look like a forest wonderland. I loved it! Can't recommend Claire (and her team) enough!

If I could rate Mohican Flowers higher than a 5/5, I definitely would! Diana and her team did the most beautiful flowers for my wedding at the Otesaga!! Diana is the absolute B-E-S-T, she was so helpful from the first phone call we had! After visiting her at the shop, I knew she was the person I wanted to work with for my wedding. Diana was super friendly, polite, organized and professional. What I loved most about her was her attention to detail; it made me realize she was very much like me and that I could put complete trust in her to make my wedding day perfect. I gave Diana a general idea of what I was thinking and let her run with it and it was better than I ever could have imagined! I even made some last minute requests, which she was able to accommodate no problem.
On the day of the wedding the flowers were delivered and set up as requested they did not miss a beat!! The flowers were gorgeous and my bouquet was stunning! We received numerous compliments from our guests about every floral arrangement at our wedding! I give my strongest recommendation to Mohican Flowers and Diana for any occasion!

I couldn’t have asked for a better florist. I had seen a bunch of photos of bouquets online, but no single picture that was “the one.” I described to Claire what I wanted and she made it. It was the most beautiful bouquet I’ve ever seen. She was also amazing with a bunch of personal touches, like Hidden Mickeys in the bridesmaids’ bouquets and accents for other items, like a pair of ski boots and ballet slippers to mark the ceremony aisle. When I took the flowers out the next day, I was so impressed with how much care she put into it, making little boutonnieres for the pointe shoes and little bouquets in water for the boots. Her knowledge was so extensive she also helped identify places I needed and didn’t need flowers, which I never would have thought of. There’s no doubt in my mind she’s the perfect florist for you if you’re getting married anywhere in the area!

The entire experience working Mohican Flowers was great. I was planning my wedding in Cooperstown from California, which made everything a bit more challenging. However, after sitting down with Claire once to share our vision, she was able to make it a reality. Plus, when told Claire I wanted a huppah - something she didn't have already built - she figured out a way to create one for an incredibly reasonable price.

Everything from the outside reception to the party inside looked great. She even had some great ideas of how to repurpose the flowers from the ceremony so they could be enjoyed all night!

Highly recommend Mohican Flowers!

The flowers were beautiful and Claire was such a pleasure to work with!! I used blue and white pottery for my centerpieces and wanted hydrangea arrangements. I was able to drop off all my vases ahead of time and they did a lovely job arranging the flowers in each one. They even marked special vases to go on certain tables. The flowers were delivered to the various locations- bridesmaids getting ready spot, church, and reception venue so efficiently. I didn't have to worry about a thing. I would highly recommend their services to any bride looking for beautiful flowers and the peace of mind knowing they will all get to where they need to go!

My husband and I live out of state and picked Mohican for our wedding by word of mouth. We had the pleasure of working with Claire, who is wonderful! I came to her with a vision, and she made that into a reality beyond my dreams. Claire was hands down our FAVORITE vendor to work with. She was so calm and reassuring through the entire process and did a great job checking in with us and giving us updates. It was a relief to have a vendor who checked in with us instead of a vendor we had to track down! After just one meeting and looking at the Pinterest board I made, Claire created the flowers of my dreams. I couldn't believe it when I saw the flowers, they were absolutely stunning! The bouquets, center pieces, corsages, boutonnieres, and alter flowers were perfect and we received so many complements! During the consultation Claire did a great job of giving us multiple options and was very respectful of our budget. Claire creates beautiful arrangements and is such a warm and kind person, I wish we lived locally so she could be our regular florist! I would absolutely recommend Claire and Mohican Flowers to anyone who is looking for a florist!

Claire helped us with the flowers for our wedding this April in Cooperstown. She was wonderful to work with and our florals were so amazing and beautiful. I was very surprised at how she was able to help us stay in budget, yet it felt like there were so many flowers! The church was perfect and she transferred all the flowers from the ceremony to the reception so we could re-use them! Also--when the flowers came in she gave me options just before the day so that I could customize my ideas even further. When they arrived on the day they were perfect, and even better than the samples. I allowed the catering staff to take them home when the event was done and they were all taken in 60 seconds! That's a sign of good flowers! Choose Mohican Flowers for your wedding and you won't be disappointed!!!

Claire and her team did an amazing job with the florals at our wedding! Our vision was brought to life and looked even better than we could have imagined! Mohican Flowers of Cooperstown

Diana and Claire were absolute wonderful to work with. During our consultation they listened to our vision, offered their expert opinion, and then worked with us on the budget. All while making us feel special, and really took the time to understand what was important to us. They have a very quick turnaround time on the quotes, and even created a Pintest board of my wedding colors and flowers. I was able to add to the bard to show what I had in mind. This helped me stay organized and got me excited to see what they would create for our big day. Their customer services they provide is second to none and their attention to detail makes you feel like their only client.
About a week before the wedding we got the final invoice for the flowers, and I had made a HUGE typo when requesting the baby’s breath. I typed I needed 50 steams of baby’s breath, which is more than anyone could ever need. Diana and Claire understood, and even though they had already ordered the flowers, they did not bill me for my mistake, but only what I needed. That moment of empathy and understanding is why you shop local, and more importantly why you shop at Mohican Flowers of Cooperstown for any floral needs.

I used Mohican flowers for my wedding. I was having a pretty lowkey event and didn't go in with any idea of what I wanted for flowers. They sat down with me, my mom, and my sister and helped us figure out what would work for bouquets and boutineers. We also ordered balloons to mark the turn for our venue because it was easy to miss. They delivered on time and also left flowers for our cake decorator to use. I was very happy with their service and would recommend them to anyone planning a wedding in Cooperstown.

We worked with Claire over at Mohican Flowers for my wedding flowers at the Otesaga Hotel in Cooperstown, NY and she was absolutely amazing. She was quick with responding to us, was very willing to answer any and all questions we had, knew the venue, and was overall wonderful. She was very receptive to our vision and did a wonderful job utilizing our inspiration photos, as well as the verbal information we gave her to create all of our flower arrangements. Everything they did for us turned out beautifully. We were able to stop in to see a quick sample a few weeks before the wedding and make a few adjustments before the final order went out. She also allowed us to stop in just a few days before the event to get a preview and again make any adjustments- which insured that everything was perfect for the big day. Everything was delivered on time and set up without us having to lift a finger. They really catered to our every wish and did so with a friendly smile. We really felt like for all of the flowers and other rentals (candelabra's and vases) that everything was rather affordable for the quantity and quality of the end product. I highly recommend Mohican Flowers for any of your flower needs in the Cooperstown area.

Claire and her team were absolutely amazing. The quality of the flowers and the beauty of the vine flower piece she made for my arch way was great. Claire and her team were fabulous! We started working together a year before my wedding. During that time, I changed my mind many times and Claire would always tailor the plan to my vision and budget. On the day of my wedding, she came to my room in the morning to deliver the flowers and check to see how I was doing. I was so relieved to see her and to be honest, didn't want her to leave. The flowers on my wedding day were absolutely perfect and exactly what I wanted. She kept everything under budget as well! Claire was amazing! My flowers and my bridesmaids looked beautiful! It was one of my favorite parts of our day! I personally am not a big flower person, but they were absolutely gorgeous! I worked with Mohican Flowers for my Otesaga Hotel wedding on May 30, 2015. I first met with Claire to discuss my general decoration ideas about 1 year before the wedding. At that point, I was just giving a lot of descriptive words and phrases ('rustic with refined elements') with a few specific flowers I knew I wanted to incorporate (i.e. peonies and apple blossoms). When I returned 3 months later, she was ready with some samples and ideas based on our previous conversation. She had reviewed my 'wedding flowers' pinterest board that I’d told her about, and even brought an iPad to the table to show me which pictures she'd drawn inspiration from. We didn't meet again until the week of my wedding, so we corresponded as needed by email (she always replied within 24-48h). The cost associated with each decision was clearly itemized, so I always knew where I stood with our budget. She also called about 2 weeks before the wedding to confirm everything just before placing the flower order.

The first time I saw Claire’s finished product was when I walked into the ballroom just before heading out to the balcony to walk down the aisle. Nothing could have made me happier! She had executed my dream wedding decor with every detail tucked in and polished. I was and remain so grateful for the beauty her efforts brought to our wedding day.

As you consider various vendors for your wedding, the emphasis is most definitely on the finished product that you'll be buying. But these individuals are also going to be who you interact with most in the days and months leading up to your wedding. Their personalities can either encourage you or make it difficult to enjoy the process.

With this in mind, I give my strongest recommendation to Mohican Flowers and Claire for any wedding. You will have a beautifully decorated event and, in the process, enjoy the pleasure of meeting a delightful group of coworkers.

The flowers for the wedding and reception were nothing short of spectacular! Claire put together the most gorgeous bouquets for the girls and the centerpieces at the reception were beautiful! We absolutely loved the arrangements that Mohican Flowers provided for our wedding. All of the flowers were beautiful, and they also smelled wonderful! We didn't have a really clear vision of what we wanted our flowers to look like before our consultation with Claire, but with just the few ideas that we gave her, Claire was able to create centerpieces and bouquets that perfectly fit our style. She also helped us select less expensive flower options since we had told her that we wanted to be budget-conscious. We couldn't be happier with our experience with Mohican Flowers and would definitely recommend their services!

I got married on June 27, 2015 and I had Mohican Flowers arrange my bouquets and boutonnieres. I could not say enough good things about these ladies!! They are extremely friendly and helpful. Flowers were something I initially didn't put much thought into, as it wasn't something I was prioritizing spending a ton of money on. My mom decided to contact Mohican Flowers to see what we could do for bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres. Dale at Mohican was fantastic! As I was planning from out of state, she worked with my mom, including emails and meeting with her once in person to show examples of what she could deliver based on what I wanted and my budget.
I was able to stop by the shop the day before to see our order in person. Beautiful. Timeless and Classic, they were exactly what I wanted.
Dale went above and beyond to help us out. We had ordered 12,000 rose petals from an online website, and they were scheduled to arrive from Ecuador two-days before the event. They did, but needed to be refrigerated, which we weren't told about before hand. Dale to the rescue! She offered to hold them in her shop fridge, and even delivered them with the flowers on the day of, to my venue.

My venue was held in Cooperstown. I was not local to the area and needed a florist to provide the flowers. I called Mohican Flowers and talked to Dale. She made me feel comfortable right from the start. I emailed her ideas of what I was looking for and she would send back a photo of the flowers in an arrangement so that I could see what they would look like. She was fantastic to work with. I had a last minute addition of some extra table arrangements and Dale took care of it with no problems. The flowers were beautiful. The prices were great and I can't say enough about the service. Claire at Mohican Flowers was so helpful. I thought I was only looking for a wedding bouquet and a few corsages (I was not a very traditional bride), but Claire guided me and my now-husband through the steps and even made suggestions on what the traditional grandmothers would prefer, which the grandmothers really loved. Claire even helped us coordinate the colors because we wanted all the colors. And because we didn't have a specific color scheme, Claire informed us of the different flowers (and berries) that were in season and they will save us more money, so I left my flower choices to Claire and the result was better than I expected. Mohican Flowers even coordinated the flowers for our wedding cake with the bakery and I didn't even know about it until I saw the cake! On the wedding day itself they delivered everything on time and everything was perfect! I would 100% recommend this place to my family and friends.

Claire at Mohican Flowers was the absolute best!!! She was helpful from the first moment we walked into her charming shop. After visiting with her it was clear that no other florist would do for our July 5th wedding. I had a clear vision of what I wanted all the flowers to look like but knew little about the different types of flowers that would be necessary to achieve "my look." Claire was able to bring it to life amazingly. Claire and her staff went above and beyond, even creating a beautiful arbor with custom floral arrangement tie backs that were later re-purposed to be used in the reception space. She was flexible with changes even up until a week before the big day. Claire was always very responsive through phone calls and emails and made us feel so secure in our decision.

My husband and I used Mohican Flowers for our wedding this past July in Cooperstown. I can't say enough good things about them! I wanted to save some money by assembling my own centerpieces with flowers I bought from them, and they were beyond helpful in making this happen. Truly went above and beyond all expectations I had. Mohican Flowers is perhaps the most attentive and creative florist in Otsego County. With just a few suggestions, we were off and running with a beautiful autumn wedding, complete with roses for the bouquet ( a mixture of ivory and fall colors) as well as mums for the church and sprigs for the pews. My great-grandmother was a florist back in the day, and would have been most pleased with the excellent service and talent seen in the arrangements. The staff at Mohican Flowers did a fantastic job for our son's wedding this past November. We told Dale that we were doing a wine theme decorations. She came up with the most unique arrangements using real grapes and flowers for the church that we were able to incorporate into the reception's decorations. I was asked to do the flowers for a friend's wedding in October. I was able to grow some of the decorations myself- pumpkins, gourds and cornstalks but I also need to order certain cut flowers for the bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres. I was able to special order all of the flowers and supplies that I needed through Mohican Flowers. The staff was extremely friendly and went out of their way to help me, offering tips and suggestions. Claire even showed me a new design technique I was able to use when putting together the bridal bouquet. When I picked up the flowers they were exactly the correct shades that I ordered and in great condition. I would definitely recommend and use Mohican Flowers again for any future needs.

We worked primarily with Dale, who was AMAZING!!! We didn't really have any specific wants or needs when it came to flowers; I just knew that I wanted lavender and queen anne's lace incorporated somewhere in my bouquet, and my husband just knew that he didn't want a rose in his boutonniere.

With only that to go on at our first meeting, Dale started pulling flowers and putting things together and gave us the confidence to give her total creative freedom. Having this confidence in our florist was key for us, as we live in NYC and knew that we wouldn't be very hands-on when it came to certain details. In fact, I think we only had occasion to set foot into Mohican Flowers a total of 3 times!

With very few requirements, Dale created the most beautiful centerpieces, bouquets and boutonnieres that we could have ever imagined. You could tell that she loved what she was doing and that joy went into our flower arrangements.

When we stopped into the shop the day before the wedding, we were immediately greeted and congratulated by the rest of the wonderful staff at Mohican Flowers. Everything went so perfectly that I definitely recommend Mohican Flowers to everyone!

Carol did a wonderful job from start to finish. She listened to what we wanted, and offered a variety of flower options in different price ranges. She kept in good contact throughout the planning process, and made sure I had every possible phone number for her (and her husband) for the day of. Diana and her team provided the most incredible flowers for my wedding last weekend. I gave her a type of flower/leaves (hydrangeas/eucalyptus) and a general vision (classic and elegant) and she ran with it. Diana and her team were always prompt with my questions, and extremely accommodating all the way up to my last-minute requests. My bouquet was perfect and, now a week later, is still gorgeous and in bloom as though she made it today. She was extremely accommodating, very responsive and flexible, and always had a sample arrangement of the centerpieces and bouquets ready to show me when I came in for appointments. My only (very minor) disappointment was how some of the floral garnishes looked on displays such as our seating card table and the candy buffet. It seemed a bit of an afterthought and that more effort could have been put into the look and quality of the arrangements. My bouquet was GORGEOUS!!!! I would certainly recommend Mohican Flowers for anyone getting married in the Cooperstown area!

Whether I contacted her by mail, phone, or email, she was always quick to respond. She took the time to sit with us and listen to our requests and offer suggestions to help us out. On the day of the wedding, the flowers were delivered and set up as requested and they did not miss a beat. The flowers were beautifully arranged and just as we had discussed. Claire was superb! I met with her and We talked maybe 5 minutes of what I wanted and they came out absolutely beautifully and exactly how I had imagined them! They lasted a week following the wedding and I had so many compliments.

I am extremely happy with our choice of Mohican Flowers as our wedding vendor. The flowers came out just how I wanted them and the price was very reasonable. I worked with Carol and she was very helpful throughout the process. Since I wasn't local to the area, she put in extra effort to help me design the flowers remotely. She made up an example bouquet before the wedding and tweaked it two more times until it was just what I wanted. I would definitely recommend Mohican Flowers to other brides.

Amazing! Would definitely recommend

Diana made my day perfect. She executed exactly what I wanted! It was if my Pinterest board came to life! Couldn’t have been happier with the outcome. The bouquets, arbor, centerpieces and boutinerres were nothing short of perfection.

I am not good at all with flowers and really had no idea on anything for flower arrangements. We met with Diana, and not only did she help us pick out the perfect arrangements for our wedding, but she was there every step of the way to make sure it was what we wanted. She even met with us outside of town so we could review what the flowers looked like the day before the wedding and to pickup the vases we had for the table arrangements. I loved the fact that she actually had a vision of what things would look like for the wedding and went above and beyond to make that happen. She sent over all kinds of ideas that would enhance the overall vision that we created when we first met with her. Her enthusiasm for our wedding was something that we did not find with any of our other vendors and made the whole experience even more special. The arrangements came out AMAZING and the level of service went above and beyond our expectations.

Beautiful Winter Wedding Flowers

Mohican Flowers came as a recommended vendor from our venue and we couldn’t have been happier with their work! My husband gave me a beautiful boutique of flowers during the trip that we got engaged on and I absolutely fell in love with these flowers. I knew that I wanted something like that for our wedding flowers, so I brought this idea to the team at Mohican Flowers. They assured me that they could reproduce the boutique even down to the smallest of flowers. Due to another associate leaving the shop, I was introduced to Claire and she stepped right in assuring me that the flowers for the ceremony and reception would be set for the big day. My mom, who helped with all the wedding planning, had a wonderful experience with Claire as well. The flowers were perfect for our winter wedding and they were one of my favorite parts of our wedding. Even our dog Penny had the perfect flower girl collar! I would highly recommend Mohican Flowers for their beautiful work. Thanks again!
