  Modern formats in southington was great in getting me and my groomsmen ready for the big day. They have a great selection for tuxes and color combinations. They were very helpful in making sure we had the right sizes in everything so we all looked like a million bucks on the wedding day. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

  They are experts!

  Fantastic service and quality suits! Modern formals provided my husband and his groomsmen with suits for our wedding (purchase and rentals respectively). The process for coordinating the suits, tie colors, and accessories was streamlined and easy.

  Navy wedding

  We had a wonderful experience with Modern Formals. John and the other staff members were very friendly and helpful! They were very patient with us as we made a few changes throughout the process. John helped us pick out stunning looks for my husband, the groomsmen, and our father’s. They made sure that every single bridal party member looked their best! We would definitely recommend modern formals!

  My Groom and our Groomsmen looked amazing thanks to Modern Formals!! They were so friendly and professional and helped us pick every detail for the guys! We wouldn't have ever gone anywhere else!! Definitely recommend them to everyone!!!

  Modern Formal was by far the best group of people to deal with for my sisters wedding. We always had a laugh when we entered the buisness! They did a great job, and were very proffesional! My sister and their husband ordered gifts for their groomsmen and bridesmaids from here as well! They did a great job!

  My husband and I went to the Meriden store with no idea what we were really looking for as we were having a beach style wedding, but we didn't want it to be too informal. We didn't know what options we would have. Sal came to our aid and we left everything in his hands. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The result was everything we dreamed of and more. Not only did our guys look absolutely amazing, but Sal really made us feel like family through the whole process and my husband and I are now proud to call him a friend.

  Modern Formals is the place to go. They did not have anything to match our dresses. They looked through the books, made phone calls until they found a perfect match. For my dress they took a swatch and made a matching piece to go in my husbands pocket. They were so helpful, never a rush, just great.

  My fiance and I loved Modern Formals in Southington. John was very helpful from the first minute we walked into the store and throughout our entire wedding planning. Jen was also great and gave us some wonderful wedding tips since she also works at the location where we got married (Thanks for everything, Jen!). Except for one, all of the groomsmen were out of state, and the process for them to get their tux was a breeze. Everything worked our well and the guys looked fabulous! We would definitely recommend Modern Formals to anyone.

  The people at Modern Formals were amazing and the prices were terrific. Some of our groomsmen can be a little difficult, but Modern took care of all of them without an issue. I liked them so much that I ordered our groomsmens gifts from them as well. I would highly recommend them to anyone who has a need for mens formal attire.

  We used Modern Formals for the groom, groomsmen, ring bearer and brides fathers tuxes. They were really great to work with in Southington. For MERIDEN- We did have on mis-hap where they gave my father the wrong tux. He didn't know it until the day of the wedding and about an hour before we had to leave to go to the church. Calling the meriden store (it was closer to our house) didn't lead to receiving a nice person on the phone- he was actually a jerk to me and my father which was the only burn in our experience with them. They did drive to our house to bring my dad the new tux, but the guys attitude was something to be improved on. I'd say if you have to deal with them- just go with Southington. Other than that- I do recommend them- everything else went fine.

  My wedding party just used Modern Formals in Middletown, and to say the least, they were amazing! Every attention to detail was met, down to the pocket squares. We had a few guys who were from out of state and their sizes fit perfectly! Highly recommend them to anyone getting married. They even picked up the tuxes at a local hotel where the guys were staying. Great customer service!

  We got all of our men's tuxes from Modern in North Haven. Everything did turn out great but there were a few bumps along the way. There seemed to be lack of communication between the workers because one would say one thing and another would say something different. They lost one of our guys measurements so he needed to go in again, some of the parts of the tux didn't fit some of the guys, and one of the shirts were dirty when received. Everything was eventually fixed and did turn out okay but it just seemed a little unprofessional, especially for the price everyone paid.
